-Short Attention Span Theater-
JFK: Beyond The Magic Bullet
[Youtube] The discussion yesterday of the movie set shooting incident with Alec Baldwin took me back to this video. I got started using Horus Vision scopes after watching this. I don't want to argue the biggest can of worms in the history of the modern world, just want to point out the "what can one bullet do?" thing has been well investigated.

Per Trailing Wife's sage advice, please go to the link to see the long video.

What happen to DC PR that ALL the JFK files that were to be released by 2016-17?

The BIDEN White House said the national archivist needs more time for a review into that redaction, which was slowed by the pandemic. Biden also said the delay was "necessary to protect against identifiable harm to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, or the conduct of foreign relations" and that this "outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure."

I call BS, its been 60 years.

India-Pakistan
All in a day: Four terrorists responsible for migrant worker killings in J&K gunned down Thursday
[OneIndia] Sending out a strong message against civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
, the security agencies have bumped off four gunnies in two separate encounters.

These gunnies were responsible for the killing of migrant workers, the police said. In the shootout at Shopian two gunnies and a Sepoy Karanveer Singh were killed. In another encounter at Kulgam, two bad boyz were potted.

The gunnies killed in Shopian were behind the killing of a carpenter from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The two gunnies killed in Kulgam were responsible for the killing of two labourers from Bihar.

Last week a Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander and a top terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir, Umar Mushtaq Khanday involved in the killing of two police man was bumped off.

Another terrorist Suhail also was killed by the police. The two bad boyz were potted in Drangbal, Pampore. The Jammu and Kashmir police said that the force is committed to hunt down these gunnies who try to create fear among the masses and spread mischief and tumult in the Valley. Such elements and their names should be excised from society the police also said.

The police had said that Khanday a top Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander has been trapped during an operation in Pulwama. He was named among the top ten gunnies by the police along with Salim Parray, Yousuf Kantroo, Abbas Sheikh, Reyaz Shetergund, Farooq Nali, Zubair Wani and Ashraf Molvi, Saqib Manzoor and Wakeel Shah.

Failure to demonstrate action: Why Pakistan remains in the FATF Grey List
[OneIndia] Pakistain has failed to demonstrate that it has taken action against the UN-designated turbans as a result of which it will continue to remain in the Grey List of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The FATF noted that Pakistain needs to further demonstrate that action is being taken against the likes of Lashkar-e-Tayiba chief, Hafiz Saeed
...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat. He is periodically placed under house arrest so it looks like the govt is doing something. Once the heat is off they let him go....
and Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
boss, Masood Azhar
...One of the major players in Pak terrorism. In early 1994, India incarcerated him for his activities. In 1995, foreign tourists were kidnapped in Jammu and Kashmir. The kidnappers included his release among their demands. One of the hostages managed to escape but the rest were eventually killed. In 1999, he was freed by the Indian government in exchange for passengers on hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814 that had been diverted to Kandahar. The hijackers were led by Masood Azhar's brother, Ibrahim Athar. Once he was handed over to the hijackers, they fled to Pak territory despite the fact that Islamabad had earlier stated that any of the hijackers would be jugged at the border. The Pak government had also previously indicated that Azhar would be allowed to return home since he did not face any charges there. Shortly after his release, he made a public address to an estimated 10,000 people in Karachi, firing up the rubes against America and India...
Addressing a presser, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) president Marcus Pleyer said the decision has been taken at the conclusion of the virtual plenary of the organization.

The Gay Paree based FATF noted that it requires Pakistain to demonstrate terror financing investigation and prosecution of leaders and commanders of the UN-designated terrorist groups and their associates.

The FATF said that Pakistain would continue to remain on the increased monitoring list. Increased monitoring list is another name for the Grey List.

"Pakistain has taken a number of important steps but needs to "further demonstrate that investigations and prosecutions are being pursued against the big shotship of UN-designated terror groups," the president of the global body against money laundering and terror financing said.

"All these changes are about helping authorities prevent terrorism, stop corruption and prevent organised criminals from profiting from their crimes," he also said.

Pakistain has struggled to get out of the Grey List despite all back-channel efforts. Seeking to wriggle out of the list, Pakistain had in 2020 imposed financial sanctions on 88 banned terror groups and their leaders, including 26/11 Mumbai attack criminal mastermind and Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
(JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

In February 2020 the FATF gave Pakistain, which missed 13 targets, a four-month grace period to complete its 27-point action plan against ML&TF committed with the international community.

With Pakistain's continuation in the 'grey list', it is increasingly becoming difficult for the country to get financial aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, thus further enhancing problems for the nation which is in a precarious financial situation.

Afghanistan
Why Islamic State could spoil the Chinese party in Afghanistan
[OneIndia] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
has been looking to make Afghanistan its stronghold. It even launched the Islamic State Khorasan Province and has so far shown that it can be very lethal.

While it has carried out a series of attacks in the past years, since the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
took over it carried out three strikes which are deadly in nature. This month alone saw two high profile attacks against the Shiite Moslems who had gathered for Friday prayers in the cities of Kunduz and Kandahar. Prior to this the ISKP had carried out a lethal suicide kaboom at the Kabul airport just days after the US withdrew in August.

The ISIS since its inception has exploited divisions in the regions. It has recruited disgruntled elements from the Taliban and the Tehrik-e-Taliban as well. While the outfit does pose a big threat, a worry lies ahead for China, which is looking to expand its footprint in the Afghan region.

The ISKP is likely to take advantage of the situation where the Uyghur Moslems are concerned. It would look to recruit more and more Uyghurs and this would pose a threat to China.

The ISIS would also take advantage of the fact that the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) has been removed from the Terrorist Exclusion List by the US. The US justified the decision by stating that the ETIM does not exist any longer.

Further the ISKP would also look to the Uyghur group called the Turkestan Islamic Party
...a Uighur jihadi group based in Badakshan, Afghanistan and listed under Tehrik-e-Taliban in the Al Qaeda organization table. Their Syrian subsidiary currently reports to Al Nusra in the Idlib-Latakia region, where the Russians and Americans have been taking turns shooting them — they’re on their third Number 1 in three years...
which is active in Syria and Afghanistan.

While these groups have tilted more towards the al-Qaeda in the past, their loyalties are fast moving towards the Islamic State. If this scenario were to occur, the group would pose a major threat to Chinese interests as well as the Taliban.

Among the several nations, China has been the most supportive of the Taliban. It is a well known fact that the ISKP and Taliban are at logger heads. The Taliban has openly urged China to invest in Afghanistan and if this were to take place, then the ISKP would look to hit along with the Uyghur Moslems who have posed trouble to China.

Further there is plenty of turmoil within the Taliban. It is never clear whether the Taliban would continue to fight as a united front considering their differences with the Haqqani Network. All these events would provide the perfect fodder for the ISKP which has been known to make use of the differences in a region and carry out attacks.

Considering that the Taliban is not a united front, it would find it hard to control both the ISKP and ETIM which will pose a large risk to China.

Sweden will aid anti-ISIS mission for as long as Iraq wants: Ambassador
[Rudaw] The new Swedish ambassador to Iraq, Jonas Loven, said on Thursday that their country will aid in the fight against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group (ISIS) for as long as Iraq requests it.

Sweden is a member of the US-led coalition against ISIS that is "here of course on request by Iraq’s government and as long as Iraq sees the need for our presence, we could continue to contribute to these missions," Loven said in an interview with Rudaw’s Bestoon Khalid.

ISIS "is not completely defeated. I think Iraq has regained its stability. Iraq is in a completely different place now from what it was say five years ago, but we still see incidents. We still see some terrorist actions by ISIS," he added. "This is also a struggle that we need to keep on the long term."

Europe
German officer kept radioactive material, secret documents in weapons cache
What on earth is going on in the Bundeswehr?
[DW] Prosecutors confirmed reports that police found radioactive material and intelligence documents on North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
in a German officer's possession. Police searched his home after he tried to mail silencers to the US.

Because it’s North Korea, I assume this is not a War on Terror story.
The Frankfurt Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Friday that it is investigating a captain in Germany's Bundeswehr army for violating the military weapons control act as well as for the "unauthorized handling of radioactive material."

The confirmation came after the publication on Friday of a report in the German weekly magazine Der Spiegel that was sourced from Defense Ministry documents.

SEARCH WARRANT ISSUED AFTER PACKAGE INTERCEPTED AT FRANKFURT AIRPORT
A Bundeswehr munitions analyst specialized in improvised bombs (IEDs), the 32-year-old came to authorities' attention when customs agents at Frankfurt International Airport discovered a package of sound suppressors, or silencers, that the man had attempted to mail to an individual in the US — where it is illegal to possess silencers not properly registered as required by the National Firearms Act.

That find prompted police to obtain a search warrant for the man's residence. He was arrested during an October 12 raid in Aldenhoven, a town of some 14,000 in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The man remains in police custody.

During the raid, police found a cache of illegal weapons including AK-47 assault rifles, anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons, as well as grenades.

Authorities confirmed that they also secured an "unspecified quantity" of Strontium-90, a radioactive isotope found that is used in both medical and industrial applications as well as in nuclear weapons.

Germany's Defense Ministry said the weapons do not belong to the Bundeswehr. The Spiegel report cited sources saying the weapons likely came from former Soviet bloc depots.

Further, the discovery of BND foreign intelligence agency documents on North Korea has prompted the Bundeswehr's Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD) to join the investigation.

Iraq
Zakho police arrest man with 200 forged passports
[Rudaw] Zakho police arrested a man with a bag full of forged passports from multiple countries and other identity documents. He is accused of doing the forgeries with his father-in-law who remains on the lam.

According to police, the two accused have been forging passports, visas, and other documents for ten years.

"According to the information we have obtained, the main perpetrator smuggles people out of the [Kurdistan] Region and forges passports as well as issuing forged passports and all other official documents," Nahshat Salman, head of relations and media affairs office for Zakho police, told Rudaw on Thursday.

The son-in-law has been arrested but his co-accused is believed to be living in Istanbul. Zakho officials said they are working with Interpol to arrest him too.

About 200 forged passports of Germany, La Belle France, Russia, Iran, Iran, Syria and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
were seized by police.

The son-in-law denied the charges. Speaking to Rudaw, he said his father-in-law sent him a bag of passports to hold onto until they were collected by their owners. Many people never collected the documents and the son-in-law did not want to hold onto them.

"After I realized that they are not good things, I tried to do something. So, I asked my father-in-law through a phone call to take them. He said he would send someone to take them," but no one showed up, he said.

The men were paid between $11,000 and $15,000 for each passport, according to police.

Zakho authorities said this is the fourth and biggest forgery case they have seen in 2021.

(ISIS) were repatriated from al-Hol camp on Wednesday, a bigwig said days after the United Kingdom took back a number of British children in response to the repeated calls from international watchdogs and Kurdish officials for governments to take responsibility for their citizens being held in northeast Syria (Rojava).

Three women and eight children were handed over to a Swedish delegation on Wednesday, co-chair of Rojava’s foreign relations department Abdulkarim Omar said on Thursday.

Seventy-three people, including two children, were murdered in al-Hol this year, Save the Children said last month.

The United Kingdom repatriated three British children from the camp on Monday. Germany and Denmark also took back a total of 48 of their nationals earlier this month.

Bangladesh
Bangladesh Communal Violence: Suspect Admits Planting Quran at Hindu Site, Police Say
[BenarNews] A prime suspect arrested overnight in connection with deadly anti-Hindu riots last week has confessed to planting a Koran at a Hindu festival site, an act that helped provoke Bangladesh’s worst religious violence in decades, officials said Friday.

Police arrested Ikbal Hossain, 35, on Thursday night from Cox’s Bazar, about 290 kilometers (180 miles) from Cumilla, the district where the violence began on Oct. 13 after an online video post showed the Koran at the Hindu site.

"[I]n primary interrogation [Ikbal] admitted that he placed the Koran at the Puja site," two senior coppers told BenarNews on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case. Puja refers to an annual nine-day Hindu festival, Durga Puja.

But S.M. Tanvir Ahmed, Cumilla Police’s additional superintendent, all but acknowledged that Ikbal said he had placed the Koran at the puja venue.

"We are trying to find out why he placed the Koran at the Puja venue. We need to know who hired him to do this, if anyone did," Tanvir told BenarNews without giving additional details.

He said the suspect was brought to Cumilla from Cox’s Bazar around noon on Friday, after which police began to interrogate him.

Last week’s alleged desecration of the Koran — said to have been placed at the feet of a statue at a puja site — enraged Moslems in Cumilla, who attacked Hindus, their homes, temples and puja venues.

The violence spread to districts near Cumilla on the same day, and around the Moslem-majority country over the next few days.

Police said they identified Iqbal, a resident of Cumilla, from a 17-minute long edited video of CCTV footage from around the puja site where the Koran had been placed.

In the footage, a man was seen picking up a Koran from a mosque near the Darogabari area of Cumilla city, police said. He was then seen entering the puja site with the Koran and leaving without it, police added.

After seeing the video footage Ikbal’s mother, Amina Begum, confirmed that the man seen with the Koran was her son, Cumilla Police’s Tanvir said.

According to his family members, Ikbal was addicted to drugs, Tanvir said.

However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
Nirmal Paul, a puja organizer in Cumilla, was not inclined to believe that.

"Some people are saying that Ikbal is mentally sick. But I think committing such a horrible act and running away is something a mentally ill person cannot possibly do," she told Benar News on Thursday.

Afghan girls set up 'secret school' amid Taliban restrictions
Zeroth Wave feminism is not for snowflakes.
[DW] After coming to power, the Islamist group imposed a ban on girls' education, prompting some Afghans to set up an "underground school." DW spoke to some of the girls who are determined to continue their studies.

Fourteen Afghan girls gather every day in the basement of a building in Kabul to continue their studies. Their teacher is a senior student who teaches them mathematics.

The school is hidden from the outside world — the door and windows are shut so that nobody can see or hear the students.

Austria jails Syrian for vandalizing synagogue, threatening Jewish leader
The report of the arrest can be seen here. Oddly, the anonymous Syrian was reported last year to be 26.
[IsraelTimes] Man, who court rules is psychologically disturbed, given 3-year prison term over antisemitic attacks in city of Graz.

An Austrian court on Thursday handed a 32-year-old Syrian a three-year jail term for vandalizing a synagogue and other antisemitic attacks.

The court in the southeastern city of Graz placed him in a care institution after finding the man, who committed the offenses in August 2020, to be psychologically disturbed, a spokesperson told AFP.

He was arrested after he threw stones and scrawled pro-Paleostinian slogans on the town synagogue before threatening the head of the local Jewish community, and also damaged a local facility used by an LGBT group.

In court, the man said he regretted actions that the prosecutor said were motivated by "hatred of Jews, homosexuals and hookers," the APA news agency reported.

At the time of the arrest, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen stressed antisemitism had no place in a country whose 192,000-strong pre-war Jewish population was decimated during the Holocaust under Nazi rule.

The country registered 585 antisemitic acts last year alone, according to Vienna’s Jewish IKG community association.

Graz’s synagogue was notably destroyed in the 1938 anti-Jewish Kristallnacht — or the Night of Broken Glass — pogrom. A new one was built in 2000.

Students at Washington and Lee University in Virginia are BANNED from passing out flyers for Republican gubernatorial
  • [Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] During an annual fair at Washington & Lee University College Republicans displayed campaign materials in support of Glenn Youngkin

  • But the club was told by Director of Student Activities Kelsey Goodwin that their display violated university policy and to remove all endorsement material

  • Goodwin said because the university is a tax-exempt organization, the school could not endorse political figures

  • While the university itself cannot endorse a candidate, students at the school are free to because they speak for themselves and not the school they attend

  • Student's free speech has no effect on the university's tax-exempt status, so there is no rationale behind stopping students from handing out campaign flyers

  • The College Republicans were backing Virginia gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, who is now tied with opponent Terry McAuliffe

Afghanistan
State Department: We know of 363 US citizens still trying to leave Afghanistan
[HotAir] Say, wasn’t that number “around 100” two months ago? Even as late as Monday’s press briefing, State Department spokesperson Ned Price gave a range that was considerably lower than what State communicated yesterday to members of Congress:

Bear in mind that the 363 citizens are separate from those already exfiltrated. That puts the original estimates of “around 100” off by 400%. Even the number of those who “want to leave” but remain stuck don’t add up to State’s initial estimates. Note too that State is still not being clear about how many LPRs are still stuck in Afghanistan, even while they take credit for exfiltrating 131 LPRs … likely accomplished by others anyway.

Even the “wants to leave” claim is an obfuscation. The Americans who aren’t ready to leave are mostly those being held back by their relatives’ non-visa status with the State Department. They won’t leave family members behind, but the State Department is making it sound as though they are staying by choice.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Putin said the Bolsheviks were destroying values. But who raised the winners?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

If you read the Russian literature for WWII you will note one of the great overarching themes was the promises, made by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union through the political instructors, of the granting of freedom following the war.

Not more Bolshevik bullshit, but freedom. That promise made at the front will cause any man to reexamine what his current society is and what it promises. Decisions good and bad can spring from those promises.

And the political instructors may have promised freedom, what soldiers got were promises that their family would suffer at the hands of the state as well as they, should run afoul of the state, headed by Bolsheviks.

My fictional reading of WWII Russian literature is limited to Vasily Grossman, who was a loyal correspondent for the soviet Communists.

[REGNUM] The main burden of the Great Patriotic War was borne by the generations born in 1905 to 1925, and this could not have happened if they had been brought up in an unhealthy society, noted REGNUM columnist Mikhail Demurin on Friday, October 22, commenting on the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As previously reported, during his speech at a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Putin said that the West is now experiencing the same thing that Russia went through 100 years ago .

"The Bolsheviks after the 1917 revolution, relying on the dogmas of Marx and Engels, also announced that they would change the entire customary way, not only political and economic, but also the very idea of what human morality is, the foundations of a healthy society. The destruction of age-old values, faith, relations between people up to the complete rejection of the family - this was the case - the imposition and encouragement of denunciations to loved ones - all this was declared a step of progress and, by the way, in the world it was widely supported then and was fashionable, just like and today," said Putin .

"The history of our country in the first third of the XX century, especially the period after 1917, requires deep comprehension and understanding, free anti-communist opportunism. Vladimir Putin says that the Bolsheviks declared that 'they will change the whole habitual way, not only political and economic, but also the very idea of what human morality is, the foundations of a healthy existence of society.'

According to him, values and faith were destroyed in the USSR of the first post-revolutionary decade.

In this regard, I will ask a few questions. Was this Russian society at the turn of the 20th century healthy? Was it Anna Karenina's 'healthy family?' Or most of Chekhov's heroes?

Maxim Gorky showed us many completely unhealthy Russian families ... And the presence of harems among Russian landowners before the reform - did the reforms of the 1860s immediately improve their morals? The position of women in peasant families of that period is not just prosperous - it is difficult to call it bearable - read Leskov!

Or, for example, the memories of his childhood, Marshal Zhukov.

This is what the Bolsheviks wanted to change and they did change! They put both a Russian woman, and even more so women on the national outskirts of Russia, on a worthy place in society. And, accordingly, they improved the family.

By the way, it's worth thinking about this. The main burden of the Great Patriotic War was borne by the generations born in 1905-1925. A huge number of them gave their lives for their homeland, massively showed heroism and self-sacrifice.

If they were brought up in an unhealthy society, a society in which values are destroyed, there is no faith, relations between people are undermined, how could this be? Is that how they would behave at the front and in the rear?" Mikhail Demurin noted.

Turkey's Halkbank can be prosecuted over Iran sanction violations, US appeals court
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A US appeals court on Friday rejected Halkbank's bid to dismiss an indictment accusing the state-owned Ottoman Turkish lender of helping Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
evade American sanctions.

The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals said even if the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act shielded the bank, the charge against Halkbank falls under the commercial activity exception.

Prosecutors accused Halkbank of converting oil revenue into gold and then cash to benefit Iranian interests and documenting fake food shipments to justify transfers of oil proceeds.

They also said Halkbank helped Iran secretly transfer $20 billion of restricted funds, with at least $1 billion laundered through the US financial system.

Halkbank has pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
to bank fraud, money laundering and conspiracy charges over its alleged use of money servicers and front companies in Iran, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and the United Arab Emirates to evade sanctions.

The bank had argued that it is immune from prosecution under the federal Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act because it was "synonymous" with Turkey, which has immunity under that law.

Halkbank had been appealing an Oct. 1 ruling by US District Judge Richard Berman allowing it to be prosecuted.

Berman has overseen several related cases, including the conviction of former Halkbank executive Mehmet Hakan Atilla and a guilty plea by Ottoman Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab.

Halkbank's case has complicated US-Ottoman Turkish relations, with Ottoman Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan backing Halkbank's innocence in a 2018 memo to then-US President Donald Trump

-Short Attention Span Theater-
DHS pays over $455K to build 'security fencing' around Biden's beach home
[NYPOST] The southern border with Mexico is seeing the highest levels of illegal border crossings in 35 years, but the Department of Homeland Security has found one access point it can shore up — doling out $455,000 to a Delaware construction company for a fence around President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter. He blames Trump for losing Afghanistan.......
’s "Summer White House."

In September, the department awarded a contract of $456,548 to Turnstone Holdings LLC for "PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF SECURITY FENCING AT 32 FARVIEW, REHOBOTH DELAWARE," according to USAspending.gov, an online database tracking federal government spending.
It's not being built to keep intruders out. It's being built to keep Biden in, and it's worth every penny.
The contract started Sept. 21 and is expected to end Dec. 31. Construction of the fence is expected to end by that date.

The DHS is listed as the main awarding and funding office of the contract while the US Secret Service is listed as the subagency. Additional information and details about the fence have not been publicly released.

For security reasons, the Secret Service declined to discuss their "protective means and methods" with The Post when asked for comment.

DHS did not immediately respond to The Post’s inquiry about the contract.

The construction of the private security fence comes in a chaotic first year of Biden’s presidency, which has seen historic numbers of illegal immigrants colonists crossing at the southern border.

This week, data released by US Customs and Border Protection revealed that 1.7 million migrants colonists have crossed the border in FY 2021, the highest number since 1986.

The Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
has faced backlash over its action — or sometimes inaction — throughout the surge, with critics slamming the president’s decision to halt construction of the border wall, which he did as one of his first actions as president.

This month, DHS announced its intention to cancel "the remaining border barrier contracts located within US Border Patrol’s (USBP) Laredo Sector and all border barrier contracts located in the Rio Grande Valley Sector."

Per the department, the unspent funds will be spent on environmental projects including "biological, cultural, and natural resource surveys" in the border region.

It is not the first time since Biden took office that security has been boosted around the North Shores home. In June, Secret Service and local law enforcement put together a checkpoint at an intersection on the way to the home, closed a nearby pond and put temporary flight restrictions in place, according to the Cape Gazette, which was the first to report on the contract.

During his second visit, the Coast Guard also took security measures by creating security zones in the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal and Atlantic Ocean.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Russia, Tajikistan troops hold joint drills near Afghanistan's border
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Russian and Tajik troops conducted joint drills Friday near Tajikistan's border with Afghanistan, as part of efforts to prepare for possible security threats issuing from Afghanistan.

The exercises at the Momirak firing range about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of the Afghan border involved armored vehicles and helicopter gunships. It was part of weeklong war games that brought together about 5,000 troops and over 700 armored vehicles from Russia, Tajikistan and several other ex-Soviet nations, which are members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a Moscow-dominated security pact.

Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Mirzo said the drills were decided amid the "catastrophic changes after the withdrawal of the international coalition" from Afghanistan.

"Terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan ... have obtained many modern weapons, significantly improved their positions and using the current situation create conditions for its transformation into a foothold for further destructive actions in the region," Mirzo added.

Russian officials said they trusted the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
’s pledge that they wouldn’t threaten neighboring countries, but noted that the ISIS group, al-Qaeda and other Lions of Islam in northern Afghanistan could try to destabilize the neighboring ex-Soviet Central Asian nations. They also said drug trafficking from Afghanistan will continue to present a challenge.

Moscow has vowed to provide military assistance to its ex-Soviet allies in Central Asia to help counter possible threats and held a series of joint drills in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, which neighbor Afghanistan.

Russia has a military base in Tajikistan, its largest military outpost in the former Soviet Union. It also maintains an air base in Kyrgyzstan, and jets based there took part in this week’s war games.

Lt. Gen. Yevgeniy Poplavsky, deputy commander of the Russian armed forces’ Central Military District who oversaw the drills, described them as part of training to counter possible security challenges.

The fighting between the Taliban and the ISIS in northern Afghanistan raised fears of ISIS fighters and other Lions of Islam flowing into Central Asian nations.

"(The Taliban) will try to push all pro-ISIS military groups out its territory or to destroy them and to become the only one (in power)," Poplavsky said. "That’s why we don’t exclude the option that they will push them to Tajikistan’s territory."

The Soviet Union fought a 10-year war in Afghanistan that ended with its troops withdrawing in 1989. In recent years, Russia has made a strong diplomatic comeback as an influential power broker on Afghanistan, hosting several rounds of talks with various Afghan factions.

Russia had worked for years to establish contacts with the Taliban, even though it designated the group a terror organization in 2003 and never took it off the list, unlike many other countries, it hasn’t evacuated its embassy in Kabul after they took over the Afghan capital in August.

On Wednesday, Russia hosted another round of talks that involved the Taliban along with senior diplomats from China, Pakistain, Iran, India and the former Soviet nations in Central Asia.

Speaking during a panel with international foreign policy experts on Thursday, Russian President Vladmir Putin said that the international community "is getting close" to officially recognizing the Taliban as the new rulers of Afghanistan, saying the decision must be made by the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
. He emphasized the need for the Taliban to recognize the interests of all Afghan ethnic groups and respect human rights
...which often include carefully measured allowances of freedom at the convenience of the state...
, but noted its efforts to combat the ISIS group and other krazed killers.

IDF said to resume practicing potential strike on Iranian nuclear sites
[IsraelTimes] Military chief Aviv Kohavi reportedly orders air force to ’intensely’ drill for possible attack on Iran, after 2-year pause in training

The Israeli Air Force has resumed training for a possible strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, Israeli television reported Thursday.

According to Channel 12 news, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi ordered that budgetary funds be set aside for drilling such a scenario, after a two-year hiatus.

The network said Kohavi had also ordered that the air force train "intensely" in simulating a strike on Iran’s nuclear program.

The orders were reportedly given during a meeting Kohavi held at his office in recent days.

The report did not cite a source and there was no comment from military officials.

On Monday, Channel 12 reported that the government planned to allocate NIS 5 billion ($1.5 billion) for an attack on Iran, with NIS 2 billion ($620 million) coming from the 2022 defense budget and the rest coming from the current budget.

A day later, Defense Minister Benny Gantz defended the government’s requested budget increase for the military, warning that the additional funds are necessary in order to prepare for a potential strike on Iranian nuclear sites.

Kohavi publicly declared in January that the IDF was preparing fresh "operational plans" for a potent military strike, and in August that Iran’s nuclear progress has prompted the IDF "to speed up its operational plans," with a fresh budget to do so.

In his speech to the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
General Assembly last month, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett declared that "Iran’s nuclear program has hit a watershed moment, and so has our tolerance. Words do not stop centrifuges from spinning... We will not allow Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
to acquire a nuclear weapon."

United States President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry...
’s administration has said it is still seeking a joint US-Iranian return to compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, while acknowledging that it will not wait indefinitely for Tehran to return to the negotiation table.

If it fails to do so, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid this month that "every option" will be on the table — an apparent uptick in rhetoric after Biden told Bennett in August that Washington was willing to consider "other options" if the nuclear deal cannot be revived.

Russia disbanding Syrian militia it formed, opening up Golan for Iran – report
More about this story from two days ago.
[IsraelTimes] Eighth Brigade, which joined forces with Syria’s army two years ago, could disarm amid reconciliation process in southern Daraa province.

Russia is attempting to disband a militia it formed, funded, and armed in southern Syria near the border with Israel over the past few years, a part of an ongoing reconciliation process in the province of Daraa.

The Russian military police demanded earlier this month that groups affiliated with the Eighth Brigade hand over their weapons to the command of the brigade, the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi reported.

The leader of the group, which comprises mainly former opposition fighters, agreed two years ago to join the Syrian army with his 10,000-strong paramilitary.

But soldiers of the 8th brigade of the 5th corps of the Syrian Arab Army are not paid by Damascus, but rather by the Russians.

Reports have indicated they were not particularly loyal to the regime and and to its Iranian partners, and that Damascus and Tehran have long been unhappy with them.

Since last month, when a Russian-brokered ceasefire came into force in the Daraa province, reconciliation efforts have been ongoing to allow rebels who refuse to disarm to be evacuated, according to reports.

The official SANA news agency published photos of crowds at so-called "reconciliation centers" at the time. "Armed fighters in Daraa al-Balad started handing over their weapons and settling their status at reconciliation centers," it said.

But there has been little reported progress since.

The southern province of Daraa, held for years by opposition forces, was returned to government control in 2018 under a previous Moscow-backed ceasefire that had allowed rebels to stay in some areas.

With the 8th brigade expected to be entirely disarmed, Israel is reported to be keeping a close eye on the border area.

"This opens a wide door for the Iranians, for Hezbollah, for Assad’s forces... to complete a takeover of all this region near the [Israeli] Golan," Channel 12 news Arab affairs analyst Ehud Ya’ari said Wednesday.

Foods Items That Can Kill COVID-19 Causing Virus?
[India] Coronavirus Update: Every other day we hear some surprising discovery about the COVID-19 causing virus and its impacts. Researchers all around the globe are trying to find a way to contain the deadly virus. In a bid to do so, scientists at the Institute of Molecular Virology, Ulm University Medical Center, Technische Universität Dresden, and CogniVerde GmbH conducted an interesting study. They tried to find out if certain food items can kill SARS-CoV-2.

Luckily, the study results came positive. The study team found that pomegranate juice, green tea, and chokeberry are capable of killing COVID-19 causing virus. During the study, researchers put the virus in and elderberry juice and the above-mentioned herbal beverages and incubated them at room temperature.

Soon after that, the scientists found that chokeberry juice inactivated around 97 per cent of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in just 5 minutes. On the other hand, pomegranate juice, and green tea killed approximately 80 per cent of the novel coronavirus. Notably, elderberry juice did not show any positive result on the deadly pathogen.

Researchers conducted the same test with the swine flu virus and the findings revealed that all 4 herbal drinks can inactivate over 99 per cent of the swine flu virus in hardly 5 minutes.

This novel study is quite helpful for all of us when it comes to preventing the fatal infection. All you can do is to gargle or rinse your mouth with green tea daily or consume it along with other juices mentioned above. Take enough precautions and keep yourself safe.
Considering India's Control of the ChiCom virus I'm not going to poo poo this. Researching other options is what happens when Big Pharma doesn't own all of your government.

#10  What about Brats?
This is my go-to when someone in the house gets sick.

With the sourest kraut and the spiciest mustard you can find, that stuff that makes you snot for ten minutes. Refresh with real beer. Retire to the study for your aperitif of choice.

Kielbasa is good with the garlic.

Then I have a pasta sauce for the sick-os. Starts with a coating of xv olive oil, good quality. Add a generous amount of minced garlic, like three cloves at least. On low heat, infuse the oil with the garlic - don't burn. Add one jar pasta sauce, the less salt and sugar the better. Add one can drained diced tomatoes. Do your normal pasta seasoning (no salting) but go stupid with oregano and if you can take it, rosemary (use a steeper if you have one or cheesecloth so the bits can be removed instead of eating around/eating them), and a shake of red pepper in addition to black pepper. Add chopped carrots, then purple cabbage, cooking until softer but still firm. Towards the end add a can (that nice brand is in a clear jar) of drained marinated artichoke hearts, less processed the better.

Pasta. Salt the water heavily. Choose a noodle like penne which is easy to eat. Drain at the earliest sign of al dente (the hot sauce will finish it). Toss in butter and garlic salt (why we didn't add salt to the sauce). Prego.

Oh, but Kansas, you forgot to add a magic troll stirring it in a cauldron. Check out those ingredients - Vit. C from the tomatoes. Garlic, pepper, and herb seasonings to get the lungs going. Extra liquid and the oils/butter for dealing with the bowels, either keeping them going or flushing the system. That salt especially if The Sweats. Carbs and veggies. Plus, it tastes good, so we keep morale up.

#11  ^plus its easy and quick. Last time I started sauce and pasta at the same time and finished the sauce first, but that is with a lot of practice because it works. If I were feeling only soupy and had it available, a really kickin' Tom Yum Gai.

Now, the Wife's Tale. First born was only born, and still a quadruped. Something just hammers me now, like tied to a chair underneath roosting crows bad. Wife is like, I have some culture tricks too, and I'm not taking care of two babies, so she makes onion tea. Best I can tell, she chopped up an onion real neat and steeped it. I think she did it on the stove because it was still hot when I got it. Strained the water into mug and added honey; we are lucky to have local stuff. Drink, she says.

Spent the next 20 minutes trying to find things strong enough to take the evacuation without sanding off my nose and upper lip.

#12  Now to be a bit more scientific, people who were confirmed with the covid and what they did, they were in that danger bloc: age, previous health concerns, and depending on who you talk to, male.

Their regime will not be a surprised to those here. In addition to their regular daily vitamin supplement, an additional B12, D, and Zinc. And then, 3000 Vitamin C. I confirmed that number and asked him how he didn't turn into an orange.

It has been difficult, locally, for people here to talk about that. There is a sort of shame on getting it and takes them a bit to share.

#13  Ah, and my aperitif of choice vodka and tonic. Extra lime. Quality tonic, not that sugared shit.

Healthy eating. Physical exercise. Appropriate precautions like not picking nose, licking money, and since a no mask culture treating those with a mask respectfully figuring they had it on for good reason.

Results: recently did a stunt where the entire family came down with a bad case of sniffles and head cold for a week. I was slightly affected, and only for about 12 hours, which included an overnight is a 'sweat tent' to keep body temperature up, and lots of fluids, pint of water every time I woke up, and that salty sports drink watered down every time it got to half for about 6 rounds instead of morning coffee, then coffee for the hot drink and caffeine, then another stint with the sports drink, plus a vit C bomb. I'll tell ya, lost a pound of mucus and couldn't get out of view of a lavatory which was well worth the effort, knock on my head.

Teenagers are figuring out how to fake positive Covid tests using lemon juice and hacks from TikTok
[INEWS] British teenagers are using TikTok to learn and share tips for faking positive Covid-19 tests as hundreds of thousands of pupils in “bubbles” are already being forced to miss school.

Clips of young people applying various liquids to lateral flow tests have racked up millions of views on the popular video app, with many users offering suggestions.

Videos uploaded under the search term #fakecovidtest have been viewed more than 6.5 million times, with the dedicated account @.fakecovidtests gaining more than 20,000 followers.

Apple sauce, Coca Cola, vinegar, hand sanitiser and kiwi fruit are among the suggestions users are encouraging others to apply to the tests in the hope of testing positive for Covid-19 and being made to stay away from school.

However, many users pointed out that pupils’ positive lateral flow tests are required to be followed by a PCR test.

Independent fact checking organisation Full Fact has previously explained that fizzy drinks and acidic fruits can appear to break the test into displaying what looks like a positive result, clarifying that rapid tests very rarely return false positive results when used on humans as intended.

Russian Duma prepares to put the wood to Big IT
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] In Russia, the regulatory framework for digital platforms wishing to take over the functions of the state has already been prepared, said State Duma Deputy Anton Gorelkin (United Russia), commenting on the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin .

"The President is right: attempts by digital platforms to take over the functions of the state, to influence political life in different countries will be severely suppressed. Each state will find its own way to put global Internet companies in their place, to force them to conduct a civilized dialogue - and not to dictate conditions. In Russia, the necessary regulatory framework has already been prepared and can be used at any time," Gorelkin said in the Telegram channel.

The parliamentarian still hopes that there will be no reason to turn on these mechanisms at full capacity.

"Compulsion to dialogue is not Russian know-how, and Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) also spoke about this yesterday. I do not think that digital giants will organize their activities in our country in any special way, and I hope that the joint efforts of states will lead to a radical rethinking of their role in this world by bigtech, ”he said.

#1  Russia is a troubled society that nonetheless continues to move upward.

We were a largely peaceful and prosperous society that is now swiftly declining in nearly every aspect of governance and social cohesion.

Russian longevity and fertility are increasing. Ours are declining. The Russian military is getting stronger and Russia's influence in the world is steadily increasing. Our military is increasingly hollowed out by political virtue signaling and careerism, and our influence in Asia and Europe is now waning.

We're going down. They're going up.
Perhaps we and Russia will meet in the middle at some point.

Supply chain disruptions impacting dairy farmers amid ongoing COVID-related issues
[FoxNews] The nation’s dairy farmers are feeling the squeeze of the pandemic, as supply chain issues are raising the cost of producing and packaging milk. Basic resources are getting expensive for dairy farmers. For some smaller farms, it’s making it hard to pay the bills.

"At the end of writing all the checks and seeing what I had to pay, I had $3 left for the week," said Carolyn Adkins, owner of Tucker Adkins Dairy in York, South Carolina.

The farm produces about 30 gallons of raw milk per day, and some of the business’s nearly 70 cows are milked every morning. But during the pandemic, buying feed for the cows hasn't been cheap.

"On average it cost us around $250 a ton, now it’s close to $350 a ton," Adkins said.

"If you are a dairy farmer anywhere in the country you are seeing increases in everything you need to produce milk," said Alan Bjerga, a spokesman for the National Milk Producers Federation.

So if the cost of business is rising for farmers, why can’t milk prices just be raised to compensate? Bjerga says it's not that simple.

"Dairy is a perishable product, it can’t just sit there forever before it’s consumed. So there’s always that pressure to get the product out," he said.

Bjerga says the cost of milk has gone up about 1% over the past year, but consumer inflation has risen 5%.

Now we have 48.4% of the worlds population (6.82 billion) VAX'd.

But...Suddenly now we have food, gas, and etc. worldwide shortages?

#3  FYI, the average daily milk production per normal dairy cow (milked twice daily) is around 7-8 gallons (56-64 lbs.). 4-5 gallons milked once a day.

30 gallons of raw milk per day for 70 head is a bit weak.

~1/2 a gallon per head is wrong. Somebody didn't do their math, the numbers weren't transposed correctly, her cattle are on starvation feed, or she's only milking 6-8 of them once daily.

Throwing money at the Talibs: $280 million from Pakistan, €50 million from Germany via the UN

Qureshi Announces Pakistani Aid to Afghanistan

[ToloNews] Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi after his Thursday visit to Kabul said his country supports the Islamic Emirate in bringing positive changes in financial and economic areas.

Qureshi has also announced that his country will provide five billion Pakistani rupees in aid to Afghanistan to support its fragile economy.

“Pakistan will provide nearly $280 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan,” he added.

UNDP Launches Program to Help Prevent Collapse of Afghan Economy

[ToloNews] The United Nations Development Program's (UNDP) new assessment shows that 97% of Afghan households could be below the poverty line before mid—2022 if Afghanistan’s economic crisis is not addressed.

At the same time, the UNDP has launched a trust fund program to protect Afghanistan’s economy from collapsing and to help Afghans who lost their livelihoods after the recent political turmoil in Afghanistan.

Germany has decided to support a special trust fund for Afghanistan, and it is putting in 50 million euros.

The money will be channeled through three different routes: cash for public works programs; small grants to keep small businesses running and get start-ups off the ground; and temporary basic income for the elderly and vulnerable.

  • The statue, which had stood in the City Council chamber since 1915, is being removed and likely sent off somewhere by the New York Historical Society

#1  I am eagerly awaiting for the current crop of radical US Bolsheviks to pounce upon the namesake for the city and state of New York, the former Duke of York who later became James II, last Catholic king of England. From Wiki:
The Royal African Company (RAC) was an English mercantile (trading) company set up in 1660 by the royal Stuart family and City of London merchants to trade along the west coast of Africa.[1] It was led by the Duke of York, who was the brother of Charles II and later took the throne as James II. It shipped more African slaves to the Americas than any other company in the history of the Atlantic slave trade.

I invite proposals for a politically correct new name for the city and state.

Retired Oakland Police Captain Fights Back, Fatally Shoots Alleged Robber (video)
[Breitbart] Surveillance video from Thursday shows retired Oakland police captain Ersie Joyner shooting and killing one of three alleged robbers in an exchange of gunfire that left Joyner wounded as well.

CBS San Francisco reports that three alleged robbers rushed Joyner while he was pumping gas. One appeared to take his cell phone while other suspects were allegedly "digging in Joyner’s pockets."

The suspects also appeared to steal jewelry then open Joyner’s car door and allegedly take a backpack. During this process, Joyner was able to step back from the suspects, draw a gun and open fire.

Joyner was shot six times during the shootout. He underwent surgery and is now recovering from his wounds.

#3  I suspect Gates and Clinton were facilitators and participated in frequent product sampling. Clinton possibly more frequently than Gates. (Hey GI, you have 24 hour pass? Let me show you good time.)

Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell created a multi-site honey pot scheme for the blackmail and recruitment of foreign high value targets (HVT) such as Prince Andrew. A sort of reverse 'rendition' as it were. Some assembly and backstopping required.

Key indicators:

a. Unexplained Epstein wealth
b. Failure of DoJ or the authorities to effectively investigate and prosecute Epstein.
c. Lack of Law Enforcement interest or questioning of Clinton.
d. Epstein's Mysterious demise.
e. Unexplained repatriation of Maxwell.
f. Long-term detention (sans trial) of Maxwell.
g. Lack of Zorro Ranch or Little St. James Island attendee roster.
h. Private airstrips are not entirely private.
i. Clandestine taping of compromised guests does not require massive IS capabilities. On-site monitoring, analysis, storage, and secure retransmission is a bit more involved.

Biden town hall prompts mockery, ‘Beavis and Butthead' comparisons
[NYP] President Biden is being dragged on social media after a moment in his CNN town hall performance that has users comparing him to the cartoon "Beavis and Butthead."

While listening to a question from CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Biden stood on the stage with his arms bent in front of him and fists closed. Dozens of netizens took to Twitter sharing an image of Biden in the position along with a picture of Beavis, who is known for the trademark jittery pose.

"Biden is straight comedy! Uhhhh Beavis......" former Australian NBA player Andrew Bogut tweeted with a laughing face emoji.

Social media personality and commentator Mike Cernovich tweeted a video of Biden with his arms bent and asked, "What is Biden doing?"

Dozens of Twitter users flooded Cernovich’s replies, making the comparison between the president and the cartoon character.

"That or he’s about to transform into cornholio," one user wrote, referencing Beavis’ hyperactive alter ego that usually makes the gesture.

The clinical picture of Alzheimer’s disease
1. Memory loss
2. Cognitive problems
3. Personality and behavior problems
4. Problems with the orientation to time and place

Moderate (or Middle) stage
Wandering: It represents the main problem for caregivers because they may lose the patient at night without appropriate clothes and because he can’t protect himself.
Emotional incontinence: It is an emotional disturbance, which, during it, the patient shows sudden, unexpected, and uncontrolled emotions, such as laughing, crying, and aggression with resistance to the caregivers.
Also, the patients in this stage suffer from illusions and delusions, and they may show impulsive behavior. Multiple tasking (tasks that require sequential steps), such as clothing and bathing, becomes difficult for patients in this stage.

Where do you go in this country (at this time) to find a "thunderous round of applause" for such a ridiculous comment? A CNN staged performance from start to finish.

#9  #3 How the hell is it that NOT ONE news outlet, left or right are addressing Biden's stage of dementia?

Some potential explanations (which are not mutually exclusive):

- Orangeophobia: reporting on any aspect of Biden's full-spectrum incompetence, weakness or corruption serves to validate Trump's bitingly accurate criticism of the muppet

- Loathing of Deplorables: cf #1. Any friend or supporter of OrangeMan is my enemy, who shall not be given any comfort or quarter under any circumstances -- cf the Lincoln Project bastards, or Bret Stephens at the NYT

- Fear of Canceling by Colleagues: Even those few journalists who are relatively immune to #1 or #2 are unwilling to risk the wrath of the herd by declaring that the Emperor's buck naked and sniffing little girls while his douchebag son launders money for Chinese Communist thieves (and Kazakh, Ukrainian and Russian thieves).

Re #3, two of the best journalists in the business refused point blank, when I confronted them with the truth about Hillary and Steele's Russiagate bullshit and then about the truth of Hunter & The Big Guy's blatant lies about their ChiCom connections, to break either story.

Each of these superb journalists, gentlemen both, became uncharacteristically angry, weirdly dismissive and nasty when I said, "You know the truth. Why are you not reporting it? Why spread lies?"

The emotional resistance is massive. It's sickening. "Sad!"

Yes. Consider that CEOs of major corporations believe their primary responsibility is their fiduciary responsibility to their stake holders. That means profits are the most important thing to them. In a global economy, profits are more important than loyalty to the United States or, for that matter, accurately and fairly reporting the news. Their job is not to inform you but to make money by keeping you entertained. And, if they want to make profits in China, they must avoid doing anything that the CCP disapproves. That means media corporations like Disney (ABC), ViacomCBS and ComcastNBC will never say anything that makes #FJB look bad because he is Xi Jinping's boy. They have too much money at stake in China.

#15  It really doesn't matter. No one pays attention to what he says--and that sounds snarky, but it's meant as a statement of truth. See, for example, the workers at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, who he announced with great fanfare would be working 24/7. They're not. And there are no consequences for them (or for anyone else) for ignoring Biden completely.

Three Pakistani police killed in clashes with banned Islamists
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Three Pak police were killed in festivities on Friday with demonstrators from a banned Islamist group who rallied to demand the release of their leader and the expulsion of the French ambassador over cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed. The officers were hit by a vehicle which drove at police as thousands of activists from the Tehrik-e-Labaik Pakistain (TLP) movement gathered in the eastern city of Lahore for a march on the capital Islamabad.

Police fired teargas after TLP supporters attacked a security checkpoint, during festivities across the city, police front man Arif Rana said.

"They had assured us that they would remain peaceful but they turned violent mostly peaceful," he said.

TLP media coordinator Saddam Bukhari said police attacked a peaceful rally but Punjab

2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, who confirmed the deaths of the officers, condemned the demonstrators. "No one can be allowed to take the law into their own hands," he said.

The protests, over a series of caricatures published in the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo

last year, follow serious festivities in April in which at least five police and three activists were killed and hundreds maimed.

Following the April festivities in which TLP activists blocked highways, railways and access routes to cities and battled police, the authorities arrested their leader, Saad Hussain Rizvi and banned the group.

Rizvi has been in detention since his arrest and the government has designated TLP as a terrorist movement.

Authorities had been trying to negotiate with the group, which rallied its supporters outside its Lahore headquarters for the last two days, but the negotiations broke down and the group called on supporters from around Pakistain to converge on the capital Islamabad.

The main arteries to and from Lahore and Islamabad were blocked with shipping containers to prevent demonstrators entering the city. The diplomatic enclave in Islamabad, where most foreign embassies are located, was also blocked off.

Nearly 1,000 police were maimed in the April festivities, which were halted only after government announced a parliamentary vote on expelling the French ambassador over the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad by the Gay Paree-based satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The magazine first published the cartoons in 2006, outraging millions of Moslems who considered them deeply insulting. It republished them last year to mark the opening of a trial over a deadly attack on the magazine by Islamist Lions of Islam in 2015.

Three kops die in northeast Pakistan

[REGNUM] At least three police officers were killed in clashes with rioters in the Pakistani city of Lahore in the northeastern Punjab province, Dawn newspaper reported Oct. 22, citing city police.

Several more law enforcement officers were injured. Some of them were hospitalized. In addition, 500 protesters were injured during the confrontation. At least 15 demonstrators are in serious condition.

Several thousand supporters of the banned radical Islamic organization Tehreek-e-Lubbike Pakistan (TLP) gathered at a protest in different districts of Lahore. They were on their way to Islamabad to take part in an anti-government march.

The police tried to block the procession, but they started pelting them with sticks and stones, as well as Molotov cocktails. The police used tear gas to disperse the protesters. Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims. In addition, he ordered strict measures to be taken against the offenders who provoked the riots.
Deutsche Welle adds background:
TLP has a long history of elaborate protests and sit-ins to try and get successive governments to give in to their demands. Six coppers were killed in April when the TLP staged days of rallies that paralyzed roads.

For the past several years, their political campaigning has focused on supporting Pakistain's controversial blasphemy

law that calls for anyone who publicly insults Islam to be put to death.

The deadly festivities came at a time when support for Prime Minister Imran Khan

is plummeting amid rising food and fuel prices and the ongoing coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)

pandemic. Khan was visiting Lahore on Friday when the protest began.

Swedish FM censures ‘corruption in Palestine’ during meetings with PA leaders
[IsraelTimes] Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde criticized alleged corruption in the Paleostinian Authority, following a meeting with the PA’s leaders in Ramallah on Tuesday during her recent visit to Israel and the West Bank.

Linde expressed hesitation about Swedish economic aid to the Paleostinians, saying that widespread corruption was hindering Swedish support. The rare rebuke marked a departure from Sweden’s longstanding backing of the Paleostinians.

"If we are going to be able to completely support economic development, we of course cannot have corruption on such a level as there is in Paleostine," Linde told Sweden’s public broadcaster on Tuesday, before her meetings with officials in Ramallah.

Accusations of nepotism and corruption have long dogged officials in Ramallah and have occasionally sparked scattered protests against the Paleostinian Authority. According to a recent poll by the Paleostinian Center for Polling and Survey Research, around 83 percent of Paleostinians believe there is corruption in PA institutions.

Linde met with PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, and her counterpart Riyad al-Malki during her quick visit to the area on Tuesday.

"[Linde] stressed that Sweden will continue to provide support to the Paleostinian people to build the institutions of the Paleostinian state," Abbas’s office said in a statement following the meeting.

The Swedish government’s current funding plan allocates around $180 million in development aid to the Paleostinians between 2020 and 2024. Sweden has also funded millions in direct budget support to Ramallah through the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, the PA’s largest single donor.

"We are proud of our relationship with Sweden, whether bilateral or as part of the European Union. We hope that it will serve as a model for the rest of Europe," Shtayyeh said in a statement following the meeting.

Linde also met earlier with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, during the first visit to Israel by a Swedish foreign minister in a decade.

Linde’s comments on Paleostinian corruption circulated widely in Paleostinian media, especially on news sites affiliated with the Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, terror group.

Longtime Abbas aide Ahmad Majdalani, who currently serves as social affairs minister, claimed that the statements were fabricated by Hamas-affiliated media, although they appeared on the Swedish government-funded broadcaster.

"Ann Linde is our personal friend, and a long-time member of the Social Democratic Party, who are our comrades and partners in the Socialist Internationale... it is impossible that she would make such a statement," Majdalani told the independent Paleostinian network Wattan.

International donors have grown increasingly frustrated by the deadlocked Israeli-Paleostinian conflict, as well as more openly critical of what some observers see as a corrupt and authoritarian PA.

A spokesperson for the Swedish Foreign Ministry did not respond to requests for comment.
