‘Follow the Science' a Potent Source of Authority for Politicians
[Epoch Times] "The Science" emerged long before 2020 as a potent source of authority for politicians. Yet, while the scientific method is a powerful tool for advancing human potential, the belief that it alone can guide us is an example of "scientism."

Scientism is, in the words of public intellectual Scott Masson, "the belief that moral or evaluative judgments are merely subjective and that only the ’hard’ sciences—think physics, chemistry, or biology—furnish legitimate objective knowledge." While few American politicians would openly endorse this position, the actions many have taken during the COVID-19 pandemic reflect scientism in deed, if not in word.

Scientism lets politicians off the hook for their decisions. They didn’t really make a decision—they merely "Followed The Science."

As a scientistic credo, "Follow The Science" does not just abrogate leaders’ accountability as decisionmakers. It also does violence to the nature of science, which seldom offers the clear-cut, politically useful conclusions that politicians want.

A popular meme contrasts the "Scientific Method" with the "Science Worshiper’s Method." While the former moves in a rigorous, self-correcting way toward results that may or may not align with a specific hypothesis, the latter constructs a model and then only accepts the data that will confirm that model.

A Dozen Major US Cities Hit All-Time Murder Records
At least 12 major U.S. cities have set annual murder records in 2021 even as there are still several weeks remaining in the year, data shows.

Philadelphia, one of the largest cities in the United States, saw 525 murders in 2021, according to police data. That’s higher than the previously set record of 500 murders in 1990.

Other large cities that broke their previous homicide records in 2021 include Portland, Oregon; Austin, Texas; St. Paul, Minnesota; Indianapolis, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Columbus, Ohio; Tuscon, Arizona; and Rochester, New York, according to an analysis of public news reports.

Giant Planet Discovered
[Epoch Times] The planet was discovered by Markus Janson, a professor of astronomy at Stockholm University, and colleagues, according to research published Wednesday in the science journal Nature.
I thought all the Swedes had died of COVID by now?
"It is 10 times more massive than Jupiter, making it one of the most massive planets ever found. Moreover, it revolves around the binary star at a staggering 100 times greater distance than Jupiter does from the Sun, one of the widest orbits discovered yet, "astronomers explained. "This large distance from the central pair of stars could be key to the planet’s survival."

Janson said the discovery of the planet around the two-star system completely changes what astronomers previously believed about massive stars hosting planets, and shows that they can, in fact, form in such severe star systems.
So the science wasn't settled?

Vulnerable Dems Distancing from Brandon
[Epoch Times] Afghan Withdrawal Prompts First Signs of Trouble

By Sept. 1, the tide of public opinion had turned substantially against the president, with only 42 percent of likely voters approving of Biden.

This sudden drop in public support prompted the first wave of defections among vulnerable Democrats, who rushed to distance themselves from the president.

Rep. Crissy Houlahan (D-Penn.), whose seat has been rated vulnerable by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), was one of the first to criticize the president in a public statement.

In her statement, she contended that she and others had warned Biden of the danger but said that those warnings "fell on deaf ears."

Several other vulnerable House Democrats quickly followed suit.

In the Senate as well, some Democrats began to distance themselves from the president: Sens. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), and others made a point of criticizing the withdrawal and promising action and oversight.

Since then, things have only gotten worse for President Biden, prompting more and more Democrats to jump ship in an effort to save their seats in 2022.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.), a self-described "conservative Democrat," announced on Dec. 3 that he would join Republicans in a motion to strike down Biden’s unprecedented private sector vaccine mandate.

Though Manchin often stands alone in opposing his party’s proposals, he has been joined by another Senate Democratic colleague, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.).

The mandate, announced by Biden in September, would be enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and has faced strong criticism from Republicans, business leaders, and others.

Under a 1990s piece of legislation, Congress can overturn OSHA rules through a filibuster-proof simple majority vote; Manchin’s and Tester’s decision to join all 50 Republicans in this endeavor all but guarantees that the rule will be overturned in the Senate.

But as inflation begins to squeeze middle America’s pockets and with the looming threat of midterms on the horizon, this is a narrative that many Democrats facing reelection can no longer afford to parrot.

In a Dec. 2 letter, Rep. Cindy Axne (D-Iowa) led a petition signed by 21 other House Democrats calling on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) to address increasing inflation.

"We are concerned about the ongoing disruptions to our nation’s supply chain, which are causing delays and increasing inflation for our constituents," the letter begins.

"Congress must do more," the letter continued."We urge additional action by the House of Representatives to further address the disruptions and higher costs our constituents are experiencing."

Only a few of the Democrats who signed the letter are not considered vulnerable by the NRCC.

Historically, presidential endorsements of tight congressional or state-level races have carried considerable influence; in fact, former President Donald Trump continues to exert considerable influence over the outcome of some races.

But Virginia’s recent gubernatorial election showed the cracks in Biden’s ability to sway elections.

Despite the efforts of Biden, former President Barack Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris, and others, Republican Glenn Youngkin handily defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe in what some predicted would be a tight race.

Observers argued that the race was a litmus test to gauge public support for Biden as he approached the end of his first year, a fact that encouraged Democrats to throw millions of dollars and a slate of high-profile endorsements into the race. Still, Youngkin, who said that "a vote for me is a vote for Donald Trump," won by safe margins.

Assange One Step Closer to Extradition from the UK
[Epoch Times] The U.S. government has won an appeal in a British court over the extradition of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, with the ruling representing a major setback in his fight to avoid being handed over to U.S. authorities to face espionage charges.

The High Court in London ruled on Dec. 10 that assurances given by U.S. authorities were sufficient to guarantee that Assange, who has been charged in the United States for his role in publishing classified military and diplomatic cables, would be treated humanely.

The British High Court directed a lower court judge to send the extradition request for review by Britain’s home secretary, who oversees law enforcement in the UK and will have the final say on whether to extradite Assange.

Friday’s ruling overturns a January decision by a British court that considered the "special administrative measures" that Assange would likely face in the United States as "oppressive" due to having a negative impact on Assange’s mental health. District Judge Vanessa Baraitser denied the extradition in January on grounds that Assange was likely to attempt suicide if held under harsh conditions.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Your dominant DELUSION determines how you experience
BLUF:
[Yournews.com] When people are invested in a delusion, they begin to zealously defend it.

Here’s how human neurology works: Once people are invested in a delusion, they become zealots in their defense of it. For example, a person who is heavily invested in Bitcoin often becomes utterly unable to hear any information critical of cryptocurrency. This is exactly the same way a person who took a covid vaccine can no longer tolerate information showing those vaccines to be dangerous (or even deadly).

Once a person is so fully invested in a delusion that they cut off their consciousness from the real world around them, they become "cultists" who drown in their own dogma. At some point, a "day of reckoning" arrives that shatters their delusions, leading to a traumatic psychological breakdown that’s often described in phrases like, "my whole world just got shattered."

Woman wins court battle over treating her husband's COVID-19 with ivermectin. That was just the beginning.
[York Daily] The brief order denied Darla Smith’s request for an emergency injunction to force UPMC to administer ivermectin, an anti-parasitic that is not part of the medical center’s COVID-19 protocols and is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of the viral disease.

However, the following paragraph of the order directed UPMC to allow the doctor who had prescribed the drug or another physician or registered nurse to administer it under the doctor’s "guidance and supervision."

The court order touched off a weekend of back and forth between the lawyers involved, Darla Smith and the hospital’s administration, ending Sunday night when Keith Smith, 52, received his first dose of ivermectin.

"I finally got some sleep last night," Darla Smith said Monday morning.

The long weekend came at the end of what has been a long month, starting when Keith Smith was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Nov. 10.

Eric Zemmour Attacked at First Campaign Rally, 39 Antifa Extremists Arrested, Molotov Cocktails Seized
From a few days ago, but is information only hinted at elsewhere.
[Breitbart] French conservative presidential candidate Eric Zemmour held his first campaign rally over the weekend but the event was marred when he was assaulted by a crowd member, while 39 Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
bully boyz were arrested allegedly armed with weapons and acid at the venue.

The conservative writer and television pundit was attacked shortly before his speech in Villepinte on Sunday by a member of the audience who attempted to get his arms around the neck of Zemmour before security was able to subdue him.

Zemmour himself was left with an injured wrist due to the altercation and given nine days of Temporary Incapacity for Work (ITT), according to a report from the French broadcaster BFMTV.

The alleged assailant taken into custody for premeditated violence was identified in the French press as 27-year-old Valentin Abdelmajid B.
not exactly a-%— his name redacted in line with normal French privacy rules — from Colombes.

The 27-year-old was not the only one arrested at the rally on Sunday. At least 39 far-left Antifa bully boyz were taken into custody by police at the event, with reports that some of the bully boyz were armed with Molotov cocktails and "bottles of acid". A total of 11 Molotov cocktails are reported to have been found by police.

That bully boyz would take acid to a political event has been denounced by establishment politicians on French national television.

Antifa has previously targeted Zemmour events, including an event in late October that led Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša to describe Antifa as an international terrorist group.

"Antifa is a global terrorist organization. Supported by the capital of financial speculators forging profits at the expense of the chaos caused by the operation," Janša said.

Earlier last week, Antifa social media accounts had called on bully boyz to disrupt Zemmour’s rally, and in Villepinte.

Despite the attack on himself, Zemmour gave a speech to the estimated 10,000 or more people who attended the event and announced the creation of his political party Reconquest, which some have noted could be a reference to the Spanish Reconquista, which saw Christians drive out Islamic rulers who had invaded the Iberian peninsula centuries before.

Zemmour’s campaign manager has been revealed to be a decorated French Army general, Général Bertrand de la Chesnais, a commander of the French Legion of Honour.

During his speech, Zemmour stated that he would bring immigration levels to zero and would also look to pull La Belle France from the integrated military command of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
The campaign rally is the first for Zemmour, who announced his formal election campaign last week in a video in which he described the "third-worldisation" of La Belle France and described how many French felt like strangers in their own country.

"You have not moved and yet you have the feeling of no longer being at home. You feel like a stranger in your country. You are exiles from within," he said and added, "the third-worldisation of our people and our country impoverishes them as much as it dislocates them."

Zemmour also mentioned the theory of the Great Replacement, a theory describing radical demographic shifts in Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and elsewhere that was coined by French writer Renaud Camus.

Polls have shown that as many as half of the French public believes in the Great Replacement theory, which asserts that elites in business and politics view people as interchangeable things.

But also the renewal and modernization of the army equipment. He is a man who knows how to talk to politicians, he was in very close contact with the office of Minister of Defense Jean-Yves Le Drian when he was in office. Talks to save Iran nuclear deal resume, break off just an hour later; US tightens Iran sanctions
[IsraelTimes] Negotiations between Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
and world powers aimed at salvaging a tattered 2015 nuclear deal resumed in Vienna on Thursday after a few days’ pause — and then ended just an hour later with tensions high after Tehran made demands last week that European countries strongly criticized.

"The meeting of the Joint Commission is over. It was rather short and constructive," tweeted Russia’s representative, Mikhail Ulyanov.

"The participants observed a number of important commonalities in their positions, including with regard to the need to finalize the restoration of JCPOA successfully and swiftly," Ulyanov said referring to the pact, which is known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

But Iran’s top negotiator at the Vienna talks said Tehran hadn’t backed down from its basic position, which has been slammed by Western countries as backtracking on previous compromises and endangering the talks aimed at restoring the deal.

"Iran underlined that it is seriously continuing the talks based on its previous position," Ali Bagheri Kani yold news hounds, according to Rooters. "Iran is serious about reaching an agreement if the ground is paved [towards a deal]... The fact all sides want the talks to continue shows that all parties want to narrow the gaps."

The meeting of all the deal’s remaining signatories — Iran, Britannia, La Belle France, Germany, Russia and China — was chaired by European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
diplomat Enrique Mora.

Mora said the sides "don’t have all the time in the world," adding: "What I felt this morning was from... all delegations a renewed sense of purpose in the need to work and to reach an agreement on bringing the JCPOA back to life."

He admitted, however, that the negotiations were "a very difficult endeavor," and that, "there are still different positions that we have to marry."

The United States has participated indirectly in the ongoing talks because it withdrew from the accord in 2018 under then-president Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
. US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier. Of course Corn Pop is a real person....
has signaled that he wants to rejoin the deal.

Washington plans to send a delegation led by Robert Malley, the special US envoy for Iran, to Vienna over the weekend.

European diplomats urged Tehran to come back with "realistic proposals" after the Iranian delegation made numerous demands last week that other parties to the accord deemed unacceptable. Last week’s talks were the first in over five months, a gap caused by a new hardline government assuming power in Tehran.

Elon Musk: "Civilization Is Going To Crumble"
[Most Important News] Even billionaires like Elon Musk can see that the current state of affairs is completely and utterly unsustainable. If we stay on the path that we are on, and there are absolutely no indications that we plan to reverse course, societal collapse is inevitable. In fact, as I detail on a regular basis, societal collapse has already begun all around us. Unfortunately, most people still can’t bring themselves to admit that it is actually happening.

I don’t always agree with everything that Elon Musk does or says, but he is certainly a very interesting guy.

He is not afraid to anger the establishment, and he often expresses opinions which run counter to the dominant narratives of our day.

For example, he just told the Wall Street Journal that our declining birth rates are "one of the biggest risks to civilization"...

"There are not enough people," Musk told a Wall Street Journal event Monday. "I can’t emphasize this enough, there are not enough people," he said.

The tech billionaire said low and rapidly declining birth rates are "one of the biggest risks to civilization."

Without a doubt, birth rates are certainly dropping quite precipitously.

In fact, here in the United States the birth rate is at an all-time record low, and every single U.S. state has now dropped below replacement level.

In other words, if birth rates do not start rising we will soon see our population steadily shrink.

Government Corruption
Did Twitter Nuke the Ghislaine Maxwell Trial Tracker Account for Exposing the FBI?
BLUF:
[ZERO] During Special Agent Mcguire's testimony, she touched upon other contents of Epstein's townhouse that were recovered by the FBI in 2019. These items included photographs, CDs, and hard drives that were found in the office of Epstein's Manhattan residence. According to the TrialTracker account, Mcguire's testimony verified that the hard drives seized in 2019 already had FBI evidence tags placed on them. This report suggests that the evidence seized from Epstein's townhouse in 2019 had already been in possession of the FBI before being returned to the sexual predator.

The pretense that the FBI may have returned evidence to Jeffrey Epstein which chronicled his abuses adds fuel to the fire that Epstein and Maxwell were/are intelligence agents who were/are operating a sexual blackmail mission. The most significant evidence suggesting this was divulged by former US Department of Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta. While Acosta resigned from the Trump administration following widespread attention to his role at the US Department of Justice in 2007 when he offered Epstein a non-prosecution agreement, the attention paid to that offer wasn't exactly a revelation. The Epstein non-prosecution agreement was the subject of discussion vetting Acosta during the transition from the Obama to Trump administration. According to Acosta, he offered the agreement to Epstein because he had "been told" to back off, that Epstein was above his pay grade, and that "I [Acosta] was told Epstein 'belonged to intelligence' and to leave it alone.

Acosta's remarks leave little to the imagination, making suspicion about whether Epstein's sex crimes were the part of a state-sanctioned intelligence operation a matter of due diligence other than wild speculation. The intersection of Mcguire's testimony advancing that suggestion follows a recent report concerning a FOIA request which confirms the DOJ's track record of allowing pedophilic sexual predators to walk free after crimes committed during their cooperation with the CIA. Given Ghislaine Maxwell's own father's ties to the Mossad, extending that possibility to her role in Epstein's sex and trafficking operation offers cause for examination.

Dagestan resident gets 8.5 years prison for ISIS nexus
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A military court in Rostov-on-Don today sentenced a resident of Makhachkala Gadzhi Gadzhiev to eight and a half years in a general regime colony, recognizing him as a member of the Islamic State.

A 19-year-old resident of Makhachkala, Gadzhi Gadzhiev, was accused of participating in a terrorist organization, undergoing training in order to carry out terrorist activities, participation in an illegal armed group, four episodes of assistance to terrorism and illegal arms trafficking.

"It was established that the defendant in November 2019 in Makhachkala joined the Islamic State terrorist organization, and was trained to carry out terrorist activities such as teaching mine explosives. He also underwent psychological training for propaganda, justification and support of terrorism, said the military court.

Hajiyev joined an illegal armed formation (IAF), where his duties included the acquisition of components for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices, collecting information about security officials in order to commit encroachments on their lives and attracting new members to illegal armed groups, the press service reported.

"From November 2019 to July 2020, in Makhachkala, the defendant, during personal meetings and correspondence in the messenger, encouraged citizens to join IS and take part in an illegal armed group. In November 2019, Hajiyev purchased components for making an improvised explosive device in Makhachkala, and in April 2020, he accepted ammunition and a pistol for storage," the spokesman added.

Hajiyev was found guilty and sentenced to eight and a half years in a general regime colony. He admitted his guilt in part. The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed by the parties in the Military Court of Appeal.

There were no comments by Haji Hajiyev or his official representatives regarding the court's decision.

Five sentenced in Kaspiysk for terrorism
The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that on April 14 a military court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced five residents of Kaspiysk: Bagauttin Medzhidov, Ismail Narchavov, Felix Pirveliev, Murad Abdulkerimov and Husein Ramazanov, to long terms of imprisonment, having found them guilty of creating a terrorist community and preparing to attack a police officer.

Abdulkerimov was sentenced to 18.5 years in prison. Narchavov - to 18 years, Pirveliev and Ramazanov - to 17.5 years, and Majidov - to 17 years.

The convicts were tortured after being detained, they planted grenades and ammunition, said lawyers Nadezhda Borodkina and Magomed Magomedov. On December 6, the Military Court of Appeal upheld the verdict on the residents of Kaspiysk.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Lebanon's public sector falls further into chaos and corruption
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] After waiting in line for hours to register his car at a vehicle licensing agency in a suburb north of Beirut, Amine Gemayel’s patience is running thin.

He has already visited the branch in Dekwaneh several times for what should be a simple procedure, without success.

The only way to get his paperwork done any faster would entail breaking the law by paying someone off - a dilemma facing all Lebanese trying to access basic services as their public institutions buckle under a catastrophic financial crisis and perennial political paralysis.

"It’s a great burden on citizens," Gemayel said. "I know that to complete my procedure I need to use a middle-man."

The country’s public sector has long been regarded as bloated, lethargic and rife with corruption. It’s now falling into further disarray due to an economic crisis that has left some eight in 10 people poor, according to UN agencies.

Such an environment breeds corruption, said George Attieh, who heads Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. ...
’s public sector watchdog. He accuses many babus government employees of using the growing disarray of the state to ask for bribes in return for issuing citizens’ crucial paperwork.

"The situation is incomparable to before the crisis," Attieh said. "If I look to how it was in 2018 and how it is now you can’t recognize the public sector. There are much more complaints, hundreds of complaints ... mostly about bribery and intentional delays by employees in order to impose bribes."

Before the crisis, most civil servants earned salaries worth around $1,000 and up; today, most are earning around a tenth of that after a currency crisis led the Lebanese pound to lose more than 90 percent of its value.

Some public sector workers have since the beginning of November been staging an open-ended strike over better pay and living conditions.

Others simply can’t make it into work: A full tank of gas can eat up more than half of their monthly wage and benefits.

Attieh said fuel shortages have also made the watchdog’s work more difficult as on-site visits needed to investigate alleged corruption have become impossible.

"UNDER THE TABLE"
Most Lebanese now struggle to put food on the table and are seeking to permanently leave the country, according to a recent poll by US-based polling company Gallup.

To help its employees cope, Lebanon’s government has promised to triple their daily transportation allowance and provide public employees with an extra half salary per month, but has not yet done so.

It has also been slow to provide other forms of badly needed social assistance despite funding being available. The cabinet has not met for nearly two months amid a row over the probe into the August 2020 Beirut port blast, leaving it unable to implement measures demanded by the international community to unlock aid.

Outside the vehicle registration office in Dekwaneh, Roy Mghames, 20, was also waiting in line.

"You either come and wait like other people and they tell you to come back next week, or you get your things done on the quick," he said.

"You have to give it to them under the table."

The director-general of the Traffic and Vehicles Management Authority, Hoda Salloum, was herself charged with corruption, including illicit enrichment and wasting public funds in February 2020, allegation she denies. She was released on bail and remains in her position.

Salloum told Rooters she had worked to increase transparency at the public institution by digitizing procedures, but hourslong state power cuts and a shortage of funds to buy fuel for backup generators meant these systems were often offline.

Hers is just one of Lebanon’s public institutions which do not know if they will still be operating in a month’s time.

"We can continue our work till the end of the year," she said. "Then, it’s up to God."

India-Pakistan
Dozens of Pakistani Taliban members freed as truce holds
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Authorities have released up to 100 Pak Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
prisoners as part of a truce with the bully boy group, sources on both sides said on Thursday.
I think we can all envision the amount of good that will come of this.
Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) -- a separate movement that shares a common history with the Afghan Taliban -- plunged the country into a period of horrific violence after forming in 2007.
TTP was a merger of a bunch of other murderous groups and the violence was pretty horrific before 2007.
Seven years after the military cracked down on the movement, Islamabad is trying to quell a TTP comeback linked to the victory of the Afghan Taliban across the border.
As long as they have sanctuaries on the other side of the border, Pakistain has a problem.
The two sides have been engaged in talks, with a one-month truce that was due to end on December 9 extended, the sources said.
The Talibs were engaged in talks with the Afghan government too. That certainly worked out well.
"Up to 100 Taliban fighters have been released during the last 10 to 15 days, they are low-level fighters and will remain under observation," said a government official based in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
, a city close to the remote tribal areas near the Afghan border where the TTP are active.

A security official in the city also confirmed the releases, from several prisons in the northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, and added that they would not be moved to Afghanistan.

A senior Taliban commander based in eastern Afghanistan told AFP that the release was important as a confidence-building measure.

"The TTP leadership has shown its willingness to increase the ceasefire for an indefinite period," the Taliban commander told AFP by phone and added that "talks with the Pak officials would continue."

The two government officials who spoke to AFP also confirmed the extension of the truce.

Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five...
announced in October that the government was in talks with the TTP for the first time since 2014, facilitated by Afghanistan’s new leaders who seized power in August.

The talks have angered many within Pakistain, who remember the brutal attacks -- including on schools, hotels, churches and markets -- which killed around 70,000 people, according to successive governments.

This year the TTP claimed 32 attacks in August, 37 in September and 24 in October -- the highest monthly totals for at least five years, according to their own published data, which Pak officials say is usually exaggerated.

Across all of 2020, when the United States first pledged to start withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan, it claimed 149 assaults -- three times more than in 2019.

Thousands of TTP fighters are believed to be in Afghanistan, mostly in the rugged eastern highlands neighboring Pakistain, where they sought shelter after the 2014 crackdown.

Made up mostly of ethnic Pashtuns, like the Afghan Taliban, it carried out hundreds of suicide and kabooms and kidnappings across the country for years before being crushed by a massive military operation.

Bitar Reportedly Says He'll Issue Indictment in Three Months
[An Nahar] Beirut port blast investigator Judge Tarek Bitar has told the families of the detainees in the case that he will issue the indictment within three months, a media report said on Thursday.

The detainees "will be eventually released" and they "did not commit a premeditated offense," Bitar added, according to al-Akhbar newspaper.

There will be a "timeframe" for the imprisonment of each of the detainees, based on the responsibility of each one of them, the judge reportedly went on to say.

"No one can remove me, and if they remove me I will return," Bitar also told the families, according to al-Akhbar.

After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....

Over 10 Gunmen Stormed Imo Community, Kidnapped Traditional Ruler
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Some button men on Thursday morning kidnapped Damian Nwaigwe, the traditional ruler of Mbutu ancient kingdom in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

It was learnt that the button men were not fewer than 10 in number.

The monarch was kidnapped at his palace around 2: 30am, a community source told The Punch.

The source said, "The traditional ruler of Mbutu ancient kingdom in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state, Eze Damian Nwaigwe, has been kidnapped. The respected king was kidnapped at his palace around 2.30 am, on Thursday.

"Those who kidnapped him were many. They came in vehicles and were more than 10. They barricaded his palace, shot indiscriminately until they whisked the monarch away in an already steaming vehicle.

"The palace of the king is secluded. He built his house far from where other villagers live that was why it wasn't difficult for him to have been kidnapped without any resistance from his subjects."

The incident has caused apprehension in the community, and villagers were said to have kept vigil from the time of the incident till dawn.

Police spokesperson in the state, Micheal Abattam, confirmed the kidnap of the monarch.

Abattam said the command was working to rescue the monarch alive.

Gunmen rob $300K worth of bling from Bronx jewelry store
[NYPOST] Two pistol-packing thieves stole about $300,000 worth of bling from a Bronx jewelry store in broad daylight Tuesday, the NYPD said.

The robbery happened around 4 p.m. at the Gold Palace jewelry store at 214 East Fordham Road, a police front man said.

Both thieves pulled out pistols — one of them with an extended magazine — after entering the store and headed for the counter where the heaviest gold chains were stored, according to police sources. The crooks demanded the owner give them the pricey pieces.

The men, who were around 25 and 35 years old, fled east on East Fordham Road with the chains, cops said.

A black plastic bag and a footprint were left behind by the thieves, the sources said. The NYPD was investigating.

Ukraine eagerly catches echoes of Putin's negotiations with Biden
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Aleksandr Kots

[KP] “No, such plans are not being considered. What is not, that is not," said Biden on Thursday when asked if the US is ready to send troops to Ukraine to defend against Russia.

Kiev, of course, eagerly listens for any signals from Washington. After all, the American president decided to pause and inform Vladimir Zelensky about the results of the negotiations only two days later. And with these signals the devil himself will break his leg.

On the one hand, it is full of joy. European countries, one after another, refuse to fight for independence. On Thursday, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anushauskas said bluntly: "Without a doubt, Ukraine understands that the protection of sovereignty is a matter for the country itself. And help from other countries is also needed, but it can be of very different forms."

News trickles into the press from Washington, one sadder than the other. "Senior State Department officials told Ukraine that its NATO membership is unlikely to be approved in the next decade," some sources say.

"Administration officials suggested that the United States would put pressure on Ukraine to officially cede part of its autonomy to the lands in the east," others say. The task of US President Joe Biden is to "induce Kiev to accept to some extent the real state of affairs in eastern Ukraine, while not creating the impression that it is inferior to President Putin."

Former US ambassador to Nezalezhnaya Stephen Pifer specified that it could be about giving Donbass control over healthcare, police and schools.

But on the other hand, there is an unconditional preponderance. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, on behalf of the United States, fears that Vladimir Putin intends to make history by recreating the Soviet Union.

Former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Jan Brzezinski offers a “warning strike” on Moscow: “We may delay certain payments for gas and oil. Or disconnect Russia from SWIFT for a few days."

Next came Republican Senator Roger Wicker, who urged not to rule out a preemptive nuclear strike against our country so as not to lose "free democratic Ukraine." (which in itself sounds like a joke).

But here it is again zrada. And the Russian chief of the General Staff threatens to suppress military adventures in the Donbass.

And the new head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Berbock, who usually does not strongly favor Russia, echoes Moscow: "The main goal of the European Union is to search for opportunities to contribute to a diplomatic solution to the conflict. The Minsk agreements play a decisive role. The absolute goal is to avoid military escalation." And how can you figure out who won?

But in no way, because no one won. Negotiations at this level are not held for the sake of someone losing. Obviously, there are some shifts in the position of Russia and the United States in relation to Ukraine and the role of NATO in its fate.

Some processes love silence. And it makes no sense to judge the whole picture by individual signals or speeches for the press (which are often just personal fabrications). She can only be seen after a while.

(ISIS) in Iraq on December 10, 2017, churches still lie in ruins across the Nineveh Plains.

... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
's Old City, is sad to see that calls for the renovation of the Al Tahira Church where his family and ancestors before him used to visit have so-far gone unanswered.

"We used to pray at this church. Our family were destroyed when ISIS [ISIS] came. We were displaced," Sabri told Rudaw, mourning the destruction of the church under ISIS. "I hope this church will be renovated by philanthropists. With the help of God, I hope everyone will return to Mosul including those who have fled abroad."

The hard boy group first swept through Iraq in 2014, capturing cities across northern and central Iraq, including Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city and the capital of Nineveh province, where the group declared its so-called caliphate.

ISIS destroyed more than 30 churches in Mosul and 40 across the Nineveh Plains.

Most Christians fled to the Kurdistan Region as the terror group advanced.

Mosul was severely damaged and some neighborhoods were all but demolished during an offensive by Iraqi, Kurdish, and global coalition forces to retake the city. Control was finally taken from the terrorist group in the summer of 2017.

More than 1.5 million Christians lived in Iraq before 2003. Only 350,000 remain, according to figures provided by Chaldean bishop Najib Mikhael and MP Klara Odisho Yaqub.

Mexico truck crash: At least 53 Biden replacement people killed as trailer overturns
[BBC] At least 53 people have been killed and dozens more injured after the truck they were being transported in crashed in southern Mexico, authorities say.

Over 100 people, said to be migrants from Central America, were crammed into the truck's trailer when it rolled and hit a bridge in the state of Chiapas.

Pictures from the crash scene show victims strewn across the road next to the overturned truck.

There were also rows of what appeared to be bodies covered in white sheets.

It is one of the worst accidents of its kind in Mexico, with at least 58 people injured, some seriously, said Luis Manuel Garcia, head of the Chiapas civil protection agency.

He said the victims included men, women and children. Their nationalities have not been confirmed, but local officials said most of the people on board were migrants from Honduras and Guatemala.

The truck was reportedly speeding when it flipped on a sharp bend and hit a pedestrian bridge on a main road leading to the Chiapas state capital Tuxtla Gutiérrez.

Chiapas, which neighbours Guatamala, is a major transit point for undocumented migrants.

In an exclusive interview with Anadolu Agency, Zabiullah Mujahid said that 670 affiliates of ISIS-K have been arrested and 25 hideouts of the fighters were destroyed in the past three months.
Sounds impressive. Might even be partially or wholly true. Or not — there’s no way of knowing, especially if other rebels are being accused of being ISIS-K, or jihadi tourists wander into Afghanistan from other areas of operation.
Mujahid added that the safe havens were destroyed in the Afghan capital Kabul and eastern Jalalabad city of Nangarhar

The front man added that ISIS-K is not a big threat in Afghanistan and that this was a small group that has been dismantled in Kabul and Jalalabad.

"The vacuum in Afghanistan created an opportunity for the group to carry attacks immediately after August 15. There was no communication system and security system fixed by the Taliban initially." Said Mujahid.

He accused former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani

The statements come as there has been decreased in attacks by the ISIS-K in Afghanistan.

The group has carried out four major attacks in Kabul and provinces along with small-scale explosions since the Taliban takeover that killed and maimed hundreds of humans.

[GREATERKASHMIR] One of the ambulances and a police van, part of the convoy carrying the bodies of the Indian Air Force (IAF) chopper crash victims, met with an accident while on the way from Wellington to Sulur in Tamil Nadu.Thirteen people, including Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat died in an IAF helicopter crash near Coonoor on Wednesday afternoon.

Bassil Slams Labor Minister Decision to Allow Palestinians to Work in Lebanon
[An Nahar] Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
head Jebran Bassil tweeted Thursday that the decision by the labor minister to allow Paleostinians and the unregistered individuals to practice dozens of professions is "illegal.""The decision violates the Labor Law and the Constitution," Bassil said.

"It is veiled naturalization and it is rejected," the MP added.

Bassil called on the labor syndicates to reject it before the State Council, and on the Lebanese to refuse to comply with it.

"This is unacceptable and we will not allow stealing the jobs from the Lebanese in such circumstances," Bassil decried.

Labor Minister Mostafa Bayram later affirmed that "the decision is not against the law," and that he has taken it based on his "powers" as a minister.

He said that "the ethical aspect and the economical benefit are the two motives for the decision," stressing that "the humanitarian side was one of the main motives."

Time Magazine Names Simone Biles as 'Athlete of the Year' for Withdrawing from 2020 Olympics
[BREITBART] Time magazine revealed a controversial pick for its "athlete of the year" award on Thursday handing the crown to U.S. gymnast Simone Biles, not because she did well, but because she pulled out of events during the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Biles had a relatively poor showing at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo winning only a silver and bronze medal in two events, compared to the handful of golds she won during the 2016 Olympics.

However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
Time did not laud her for winning the two lesser medals as much as it did for her decision to pull out of several events in 2020 for her "mental health."

In July, Biles abruptly pulled out of several events claiming that she did so for her mental health. Specifically, Biles said she suffered from the "Twisties." A condition that affects gymnasts when they lose their spacial awareness as they’re flying through the air.
I know several people who are more deserving of recognition. They never even showed up!
I don’t know that I would laud Ms Biles for pulling out, but I’m very glad for her sake that she did.

Her 32 Olympic and World Championship medals ties her for being the most decorated gymnast in the world. THAT deserves acknowledgement. To me ANY Olympic medal is worthy fame and NOT a Lesser Medal. An she has 7 of them.

Remember: Biles was one several that testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the FBI's Mis-handling of sexual abuse claims against former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar.

The anarcho-marxists with the open mouths and waving fists seldom make it through college, ending up as riff raff standing in crowds. Fodder for the batons and boots, their support means nothing.

The hindu brahmins of south India did feel some affinity with the Gopalan sisters, but it goes only so far as to 'oh looky, the lass made it to the WH!' She did receive funding and moral support from some rich fools from that community, but she has no real supporters. I'll venture they are all ashamed of her even.

Indians are rather crafty people you see, keeping open a channel of communal linkage in case she becomes POTUS (!) but otherwise silently wishing orange man comes back. Indians will say one thing just to hedge their bets but invest in entirely another. Bandits Meet With Zamfara Communities Over Attacks, Abductions, Demand N10Million For Peace
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Some bandidos have reportedly demanded N10 million from some communities under their control in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State to stop attacks.

The bandidos were said to have demanded the money after a reconciliation meeting was held between the people of the affected communities and the representatives of the gang of bandidos.

The meeting was reportedly held in a village called Kuryar Kware.
However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
a source told Daily Post that the bandidos sought a reconciliation meeting with the people of Yanbuki and its neighbouring communities in Zurmi.

The source also said there was a recent attack by the bandidos in the Yanbuki community last Saturday during which more than 35 persons were kidnapped.

The meeting was reportedly attended by many residents of Yanbuki, and its neighbouring communities.

The source who is from Yanbuki, said "after realising that all effort to get the government and security agencies to secure the axis failed, we had no option but to accept the reconciliation meeting, and they have demanded the payment of N10 million fine for peace to reign."

The source said that the affected communities had agreed to pay the sum for their areas to be secure.

He identified the communities as Yanbuki, Tsaka, Maduba, Askawa, Ganda Samu, Dillin Fulani
... a peculiarly brutal tribe of Moslem herdsmen infesting Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and probably other places that are light on law and order and heavy on tribal identity...
and Kafan Dutsi, saying their residents were part of the meeting.

The bandidos were said to have demanded that the residents of Yanbuki village pay a ransom for the 68 persons that were kidnapped frоm the village.

"On this particular issue of payment of ransom, even the communities' members and the bandidos held meeting again on Wednesday but could not reach an agreement," the source said.

However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
a man from the village who spoke on condition of anonymity for security reasons, said he was asked to pay N1,000.

The villager said residents of Yanbuki village were levied individually.

But the state information commissioner, Hon. Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, said the state government was not aware that a fine was imposed on the people of Yanbuki community.

He, however, assured that he would investigate the substance of the claim.

He admitted that the government was aware of the plight of Yanbuki community members regarding the incessant attacks on the village by the bandidos.

"Even recently, security agencies came to their rescue on the threats they are undergoing. But we are not aware that they were asked to pay a N10 million fine. We cannot confirm the substance of the claim now until we investigate it.

"On the allegation that the people of Yanbuki village were neglected by the government despite the threat, they are facing from the bandidos, did they inform you that recently the vehicles of security agencies were attacked and set ablaze by the bandidos, so if they are neglected, how did security vehicles get burnt? I think that issue of saying they were abandoned by the government does not arise."

New provocation in the Kerch Strait
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
By Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] The control ship "Donbass", according to the FSB border service, left Mariupol and moved to the Kerch Strait without responding to inquiries. She now hangs out 18 miles north of the strait, avoiding contact with the strait-control authorities and ignoring directions to change course.

She can pass the strait only within the framework of an official request from the Russian coastal services. In this case, she can easily pass the strait and bring down wherever she likes, as in fact it is usually done by Ukrainian ships.

If she ignores the Russian coastal services and tries to simply break through the strait or, for example, drown herself in the channel, then this is an obvious provocation and then the Donbass must either be sunk or detained for violating the order of passage through the strait belonging to Russia.

The arrested team can then be exchanged for Russian citizens captured by Ukraine, starting with Andrey Kosyak.

PS. The control ship "Donbass" turned around and lay on the return course to Mariupol.

The approach to the strait was carried out exactly in time for Biden's call to Zelensky, where the Kiev puppet was informed about the current position of the United States.

Over half of Iran’s civilian planes grounded for lack of spare parts
[IsraelTimes] Amid faltering economy and international sanctions, Iranian official says 170 aircraft are inactive, mostly due to missing motors

More than half of Iran’s fleet of civilian aircraft is grounded due to a lack of spare parts, the deputy head of the country’s airlines association has said.

"The number of inactive planes in Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
has risen to more than 170... as a result of missing spare parts, particularly motors," Alireza Barkhor said in an interview with state news agency IRNA.

The shortage represented more than half of the civilian aircraft in the sanctions-hit country, he said in an interview this week.

"If this trend continues, we will see even more planes grounded in the near future," Barkhor was quoted as saying.

"We hope that one of the priorities of the government will be helping to finance airlines so that they are able to provide the spare parts to refurbish the grounded planes," he added.

According to the Iranian economic daily Financial Tribune, national carrier IranAir currently operates a fleet of 39 planes, the majority of them Airbus jets.

Iran’s economy has struggled under sanctions that were lifted after a landmark nuclear deal in 2015, but reimposed again after the US withdrew from the pact in 2018.

In 2016, following the lifting of sanctions, Iran concluded deals to purchase 100 Airbus jets, 80 Boeing planes, and 40 ATR aircraft, hoping to upgrade its aging fleet and the constant problem of finding spare parts.

But the Islamic Theocratic Republic received only 11 planes as deliveries were interrupted following the reimposition of sanctions, according to the Financial Tribune.

Debate Is Over Folks; Facts Came In The Market Ticker - Cancelled ® - What 'They' Don't Want Published
This is such a huge data set that its statistical power is undeniable. It comes from a nation we claim to have first-world status, and where medical records are cohesive and thus very hard to run into accidental or intentional hiding. And while it is not (yet) peer-reviewed unless serious statistical problems are found the data damn well ought to be paid attention to.

It also includes and in fact is almost exclusive to Delta, which if you remember was going to be the death of everyone not-vaccinated, even if previously infected with another strain. And finally, and most-germane here, it includes the cohorts that nobody else has reported on -- those who had both vaccination and infection as immunity-generating events.

It turns out the claims that "you must get jabbed", especially if you were previously infected, were a damned lie.

Due to the nearly-universal vaccination in this nation (Israel) there is no longer a control group of unvaccinated people of sufficient size to provide good data. How convenient!

#1  The Future for The Jabbed is Bleak
^source
Conclusion Paragraphs in the article:

Many researchers warn of sterility associated with the jabs
A peer reviewed study has incidentally warned against taking the shot when pregnant while other studies have highlighted the toxicity of the shots in terms of reproductive health.

Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet stated during the second Stop the Shot online conference streamed on August 19 by LifeSiteNews that peer-reviewed scientific research from 2012 and 2018 as well as evidence from whistle-blowers showed that the jabs damaged fertility and pregnancy. It was not being reported to the public.

The vaccine nanoparticles “can pass through the blood-testis barrier, placental barrier, and epithelial barrier, which protect reproductive tissues,” she said.

Human immune cells are thus “trained to attack” a protein vital to a successful pregnancy, as in the case of PZP. Vliet warned that this would lead to “miscarriages, birth defects, and infertility” when taking the jab.

Dr. Michael Yeadon, a former vice president at Pfizer, has corroborated the claims, saying that the jabs pose a “severe risk” of infertility. Yeadon cited scientific research specifically on lipid nanoparticles, found in the shots. “Do not take these vaccines,” he warned. “There’s a severe risk to your ability to conceive and carry a baby to term.”

Although the research into nanoparticle toxicity was conducted on animals, Yeadon argued that humans were also mammals and therefore at similar risk. “If someone wants to persuade me that they’re not concentrating in human ovaries, they are going to have to provide me with some data,” he said.

The jab has also been correlated with thousands of reports of menstrual irregularities. Gynecologist Christiane Northrup warned in April this year that the Covid vaccine could cause infertility in women, because the protein Syncytin-1 present in the placenta was very similar to the Covid virus SARS-CoV-2’s spike protein.

#3  You don’t see negative reports of almost anything to do with the jab. It’s called censorship. The negative consequences will be hard to hide forever though. We don’t even really know what they are yet. 10 years from know we will look back and see this was the most disastrous public health response to anything in history.

I do know for sure, there is ample evidence that seems to indicate that for some people they are more susceptible to Covid in the immediate days an weeks right after the jab. There are quite a few deaths shortly after the jab, especially in the elderly. My uncle died a week after the jab. Since it was only a week after he was considered an “unvaccinated death”. Another friend watched as several elderly ladies that lived together died within days of the jab. The nurse was fearful about reporting the event due to backlash.

#11  Re#12

I wouldn’t trust anything from NIH again at least for another generation. Politics has infested science. And science lost.

When I heard that over 1000 doctors claim that BLM riots in my town did not pose a risk of spreading Covid but the handful of people peacefully protesting lockdowns were super spreaders I knew we were doomed. And the FDA tried to sell the “Ivermectin is horse medicine ya’ll” I knew there was not an institution left in the Federal government that has not been exposed to the corruption infection. And the “ya’ll” part was just to connect with us stupid red state Trump voters and smelly Wal Mart people. They do despise us and think we are idiots.

When it became clear natural immunity was better and more durable than the vaxx I wondered how long it would be for them to manufacture something that would negate that evidence and create a permitted narrative. It’s BS.

Fauci and crew are simply the “science” component of the deep state. Just like all the players we know that created the thousands of pieces phony evidence of Russia Collusion, etc.

What I am to believe now is that the vaxx is good for the old, the young, the very young, pregnant “people” :), those with autoimmune disease, those who have had bad reactions to other vaccines, those who have already had 3 jabs and might need a 4th, etc., etc. And it works on every variant really well.

I am not an anti vaxxer and, although I was born on a Monday, i wasn’t born last Monday.

The way I see it, for those over 80 I would probably get it, benefit outweighs risk. 50- 80 is a toss up, only of comorbidities. Under 50 risk outweighs benefit. And it is child abuse in school age kids, IMHO.

#15  Albemarle's sentents are shared by hundreds of millions around the world. Focused protection of the elderly and high-risk subgroups should have been the approach. Children and anyone under 65 or 70 should have been / should be given the option of joining this experiment -- that's what it amounts to -- which we know creates MORE risk to young men than the virus does.

The "science" on this is a joke . Upside down: it's far more contagious and far less fatal than the types of diseases you treat with vaccines (smallpox, measles etc).

"By now it is abundantly clear from the epidemiological data that the vaccinated are able to both catch and spread the disease. Clearly vaccination isn’t going to make this virus disappear. Only a mind that has lost its grasp on reality can fail to see how ridiculous all this has become.

"But a tour through pre-COVID science demonstrates that, from day one, long before you and I had even heard of this virus, it was 100% inevitable and 100% predictable that these vaccines would never be capable of eradicating this coronavirus and would never lead to any kind of lasting herd immunity.

"Even worse, lockdowns and mass vaccination have created a dangerous set of circumstances that interferes with our immune system’s ability to protect us against other respiratory viruses. They also risk driving the evolution of this virus towards mutations that are more dangerous to both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated alike.

"Lockdowns, mass vaccinations, and mass booster shots were never capable of delivering on any of the promises that were made to the public...."

Afghanistan
Islamic Emirate Denies Pledging to US Plan for Inclusive Govt
It was a commitment, not a pledge. That’s different, and anyway we had our fingers crossed.
[ToloNews] The Islamic Emirate denied reports alleging that officials pledged to US diplomats they would form a roadmap for an inclusive government by March 2022.

Earlier, the India 18 News quoted sources saying that the delegation of the Islamic Emirate in the latest meeting with the US envoy for Afghanistan, Thomas West, "conveyed that they need four months to conclude consultations with their top leadership" to form a roadmap for an inclusive government in the country.

The Islamic Emirate denied the reports, calling them speculation.

"What has been published in this regard, we don’t confirm it," said Bilal Karimi, deputy front man for the Islamic Emirate. "The Islamic Emirate takes independent decisions regarding its government. This is the right of the people to make the decision about the formation of their government."

The political analysts believe that the formation of an inclusive government would pave the way for the recognition of the current Afghan government.

"The international community and the US, in order to answer to their people and partners, will recognize a government which is formed by all sides.. Good governance will pave the way for recognition," said Javid Sangdal, an international relations analyst.

"To overcome the current crisis, the Islamic Emirate needs to implement a policy and show diplomacy that is in accordance with the international community’s standards," said Abdul Haq Humad, a political analyst.

This comes as Afghanistan is currently gripped with various crises due to not being recognized by foreign countries and by the suspension of aid.

Government Corruption
Fauci: Now He Tells Us!
[Powerline] Many have pointed out that the same Biden administration officials who want to fire the unvaccinated and who were on board with shutting down industries to stop the spread of covid seem to have no concern about the flood of unvaccinated, untested illegal aliens across our southern border. "That’s a different issue," Dr. Fauci said.

On Friday, Neil Cavuto caught up with Fauci and posed the question:

Fauci appeared Friday on Fox Business’ "Cavuto: Coast to Coast," where he was asked to comment on the rising number of infections among illegal migrants, which host Neil Cavuto estimated to be around 4,000.

"You know, Neil, I don’t have an easy answer for that," Fauci said....

"There is testing that is done — I’m certain it’s not as extensive as we would like to see — but I have to admit, Neil, I don’t have an easy answer. That’s a very difficult problem," Fauci added.

Fauci also touched on the challenges associated with containing the spread of the Omicron strain due to its high contagiousness, noting that it is "the way viruses work."

Yes indeed. Which is why no government has ever stopped a virus.

"I think given what we know about the transmissibility and a likely transmissibility advantage of Omicron ... once it gets in there, it will likely, under the radar screen, be spreading no matter what you do to keep people out or not," Fauci stated.

This is perhaps the truest thing Fauci has ever said about the covid epidemic, but it comes a little late. Governments’ futile efforts to stop the spread of covid have caused, and continue to cause, incalculable damage. But the one thing our government has never been willing to do to stop or slow covid transmission is to stem the tide at the border. Hey, that’s a different issue!

It is long past time to stop the charade.

Africa Horn
Debretsion Gebremichael: We have changed strategy, Tigray will prevail
[Garowe] Tigray regional President Debretsion Gebremichael
...I had no idea they had one of those. Usually at the sub-national level they’re provincial/state governors, earls and counts being the ruling landholders in aristocratic societies ...
says the Tigray Defense Forces [TDF] have changed strategy and will in the long run prevail in the ongoing war with Æthiopia National Defense Forces [ENDF].

Already, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has left the frontline after two weeks of intensive fighting which saw TDF retreat as it seeks solutions, probably counterattack, which could be catastrophic in long run.

The Tigrayan front man, Getachew Reda, underlined the point in a Tweet when he said: "Speaking of stories of courage, perseverance and heroism, a Tigray Army unit traveled more than 158 KMs on foot in a matter of two days and took on and dealt a mortal blow to a several thousand strong enemy contingent. Now that’s news."

The Tigray President, Debretsion Gebremichael, said in a statement that:

"We evaluated the overall situation, both ours as well as that of the enemy, and arrived at the decision on our own. ’We have to turn back; we shouldn’t continue in the present [course]; we have to carry out additional tasks, additional adjustments’ — it was after we identified this that we arrived at the decision," he noted.

"It was a tough decision but one which had to be made. We have to understand that it was a correct decision...[The decision] wasn’t made because of diplomatic pressure or through discussions. We don’t make discussions which the people of Tigray are not aware of or diplomatic activities which the people of Tigray has not accepted...This is a time of fierce struggle."

Already, the Tigray Defence Forces withdrew — they were neither defeated on the battlefield nor were they routed. Anyone looking at their long supply lines would have seen they were vulnerable to attack. The withdrawal was hardly surprising.

Prime Minister Abiy has put out a statement declaring that this is "The First Chapter Accompanied by Victory". This is by no means the first time he has declared victory.

In November last year, Prime Minister Abiy said that the conflict had been "successfully concluded".

In reality, Tigrayan fighters had withdrawn into the hills and mountains and were mounting a ferocious guerilla campaign against the invading Æthiopian, Amhara, and Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
n troops.

It took until April 2021 for the Prime Minister to admit that heavy fighting was taking place on no fewer than eight fronts. Then in June 2021, the Tigrayan troops were able to re-capture Mekelle, to jubilation.

The war could go on for some time after both parties refused to agree to declare a ceasefire, amid international community pressure, which is yet to yield fruits. Several people have died in the current war with millions displaced as TDF and ENDF continue to clash.

Gov. Walz Prepares [Minnesota] National Guard Amid Kim Potter Trial, Maine Gov. Calls Out Guard for Hospitals
[WCCO] Gov. Tim Walz says he is preparing the Minnesota National Guard to provide public safety assistance if necessary during the trial of Kim Potter.

The mobilization to readiness follows a request made by the city of Brooklyn Center and Hennepin County, said the release Wednesday.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we are prepared to ask members of the Minnesota National Guard to be available to support local law enforcement with the mission of allowing for peaceful demonstrations, keeping the peace, and ensuring public safety,” said Walz.

Currently, the national guard will not be proactively assuming post throughout the Twin Cities, said the release.

Potter is charged with first-degree and second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright back in April.

Potter says she meant to grab her taser to stop Wright from fleeing in his car during a traffic stop, but instead grabbed her handgun and fired one fatal round to his chest.

His own daughter was giving live updates to Guard deployment to ANTIFA and BLM during the riots that resulted in over 1,000 homes and businesses were burned to the ground in Minneapolis.

When asked about deploying the Guard before his response was something about, "they are only a bunch of cooks". I paraphrase but you get the point.

Three Turkish soldiers killed in operations in Kurdistan

Three Ottoman Turkish soldiers were killed in an attack by Kurdish Lions of Islam during cross-border operations in the Kurdistan Region on Thursday, the Ottoman Turkish Defence Ministry said, adding six of the Lions of Islam were "neutralised".

"Targets identified in the region were struck in an air operation and six Lions of Islam were neutralised according to initial indications. Operations in the region are continuing," the ministry said.

"Neutralised" is commonly used to mean killed.

Russian chief of general staff warns Ukraine about aggression in Donbass
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RusOnline] The Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov harshly warned Ukraine about the consequences of the aggression in Donbass.

At the same time, during a briefing before the military attachés of foreign states on the afternoon of December 9, Gerasimov stated that the situation in Donbass was escalating, and warned the Ukrainian authorities that any provocation with an attempt to resolve the ongoing conflict by force would be suppressed.

"The supply of helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft to Ukraine is pushing the Ukrainian authorities to take drastic and dangerous steps. Kiev does not comply with the Minsk agreements. The Ukrainian armed forces announce the beginning of the use in the Donbas of the Javelin anti-tank missile systems, which were supplied by the United States, and also use Turkish-made reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles.

As a result, the already tense situation in the east of this country is aggravated. However, any provocations of the Ukrainian authorities to resolve the problems of Donbass by force will be suppressed," said the head of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces.

Kiev is transferring heavy artillery to the east of Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said

[RIA Novosti] Kiev is pulling heavy artillery to the line of contact with Donbass, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

"The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission records the transfer of heavy weapons by Kiev to the east of the country, including large-caliber artillery and armored vehicles, the use of drones continues," she said at a briefing.

Earlier, the diplomat already spoke about the transfer of 125 thousand soldiers and officers to the east of the country by Ukraine - half of the personnel of the Armed Forces. NATO, which, according to the Russian authorities, is amassing its forces near the Russian borders, could provoke the Ukrainian authorities into "military adventures", which poses a direct threat to Russia's security , said Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to him, Kiev does not want to adhere to the Minsk agreements on Donbass on its own and is trying to incite its Western curators. Although a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the region is possible "solely on the basis of direct and unambiguous implementation of the Minsk agreements," the head of Russian diplomacy stressed.

In April 2014, the Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics . They declared independence after the coup d'etat in Kiev in February of the same year.

The statement read, "The troops, who were on a long range fighting patrol towards Agapalwa and Amuda villages, got wind of the rampaging activities of the turbans and laid in wait for them at the crossing point.

"In the battle that ensued, troops rained heavy fire on the terrorists, inflicting maximum casualty on them.

"After gallantly eliminating the terrorists, the troops recovered one General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), three Hand Grenades, 62 links of 7.62mm ammunition, one Motorcycle and three bicycles from the terrorists.

"Troops are currently exploiting further to clear the area of any escaping terrorist.

Europe
EU member states agree to take in 40,000 Afghans
[AlAhram] A group of 15 EU member states have agreed to take in 40,000 Afghans for resettlement, Commissioner Ylva Johansson said on Thursday after meeting interior ministers.

Germany will accept the bulk of the new arrivals, with 25,000, with the Netherlands accepting 3,159, Spain and La Belle France 2,500, and other countries lower numbers, according to a document seen by AFP.

"And I think this is an impressive act of solidarity," Johansson said, arguing that allowing more Afghans to migrate in a controlled way would help prevent "irregular arrivals".

The 40,000 Afghans are part of a larger 60,000 package of resettlements and humanitarian admissions pledged by member states, according to the document seen by AFP.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees had previously urged the bloc to accept 42,500 Afghans over five years, but some of the 27 member countries had resisted.

There are an estimated 85,000 Afghans who have fled their homeland into countries nearer the EU, and the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
's seizure of Kabul coupled with a fierce drought could trigger new flows.

During the aftermath of the chaotic US military withdrawal and the return of the Taliban regime, in August, 24 EU states have already taken in 28,000 evacuees.

But UNHCR chief Filippo Grandi has warned that 85,000 Afghans that are living in vulnerable situations outside the bloc need resettlement, and has urged Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
to take half.

Johannson had previously described this goal as "doable" but she still had to persuade member state governments, only confirming the figure after the meeting on Thursday.

The 40,000 Afghans are part of a larger 60,000 package of resettlements and humanitarian admissions pledged by member states, according to the document seen by AFP.

In the larger global envelope, La Belle France and Sweden make bigger pledges of 5,000 and 4,200 resettlements, but these will not necessarily be Afghans. Belgium promised places for 425 Afghans and 1,250 others.

EU officials were not immediately able to give a time scale for the new arrivals.

What they say in Donbass about Putin's meeting with Biden
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[KP] It was the editorial duty on duty: "What do people in Donbass think about the meeting between Putin and Biden?" Eight years of experience here told me that no one in Donetsk coordinated their personal plans with the conversation of world leaders.

It is a thankless task to look for projections of international events onto a poor life on the brink of survival. In Donbass, since 2014, there are two points of view on what is happening. Biblical: "Accept torment humbly” and military-Soviet: "You lie, you won’t take it!."

#3  latest rumor is that Biden may force Ukraine to give Donbass (Russia influenced/occupied) autonomy which goes beyond the Minsk agreement.

Autonomy for Donetsk and Lugansk always has been a negotiating point for Minsk. Ukraine doesn't want a place at the table for the leadership of the two breakaway republics.

Only recently has Russia suggested they get that place at the table, itself a negotiating tactic for Volodya.

That is is such an outrage for the US side just shows how little attention has been paid to the region until US security serves began planting stories about it in the media.

#4  ....until US security serves began planting stories about it in the media.

Action and intelligent diplomatic solutions were unfortunately delayed due to the Biden Crime Family's activities in the region. No sense in highlighting obvious connections.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Jury Finds Jussie Guilty on 5 of 6 counts,Jussie already working on showbiz comeback
[Townhall] A Chicago jury reached its verdict in the trial of Jussie Smollett on Thursday evening, finding the actor guilty of five felony counts of disorderly conduct and not guilty of the sixth count he faced.
Seen elsewhere: Jussie Smollett can sleep in peace tonight knowing his attacker was finally brought to justice.
As Townhall reported at the time charges were filed by a special prosecutor, Smollett faced "six felony counts of disorderly conduct, charges that stem from four separate false reports that he gave to police in which he contended he was a victim of a hate crime 'knowing that he was not the victim of a crime.'"
...

And while the felony with which Smollett was charged carries a maximum of three years in prison, legal experts say it's likely the former Empire actor will only face probation and community service as a sentence.
Actually, given that Smollett committed perjury during the trial, the judge might give him at least a month in jail.

Jussie Smollett already working on showbiz comeback ahead of verdict

[NYPOST] Jussie Smollett
...Cable TV actor whose primary talents seemed to be being black and being homosexual. In a bid for national attention, he paid a pair of Nigerian brothers to rough him up a little so he could claim that two large, white, MAGA hat-wearing men had shouted This is MAGA country! while thumping him at 2:30am on a bitter cold night in Chicago and throwing bleach on him, presumably to lighten him up. The story quickly unraveled, and he became a laughingstock and the poster boy for pretend victimization and attention whoredom...
is already desperately trying to revive his showbiz career even as he waits for a verdict on charges that he staged his race-hate attack for publicity. In the nearly two years since his scandal broke, the 39-year-old actor was dumped from TV hit "Empire," dropped by his talent agency and has failed to get any other acting gigs, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

But he still managed to finance his directorial debut, "B-Boy Blues," which was shot over 12 days last year in the Big Apple — but has yet to be bought, the industry outlet noted.

Key backer Tom Wilson, a Cleveland, kept in touch with the world by Obamaphone,
...was ruled by a Democrat machine from 1942 through 1971. After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ...
radio and TV station owner, told the media mag that he and the embattled actor are working hard at finding a distributor — and even filming a follow-up series.

"I believe in Jussie," said Wilson, who has known the embattled actor for more than 15 years and is in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
supporting him during his trial, which is with the jury for deliberations.

Wilson insisted that "people are interested in buying" their "B-Boy Blues" flick, based on a James Earl Hardy novel about a love story between two black men from different worlds.

Wilson said they have already shot the movie’s follow-up — an untitled series pilot starring Smollett, who also directs — in both New York and Los Angeles.

#3  Ancient (2019) history, but these tools need tuning up:
Former Obama White House BFF Valerie Jarrett and communications and political consultant Hilary Rosen are hosting a private D.C. dinner Monday to honor their close friend Tina Tchen as the new president and CEO of Hollywood’s Time’s UP, an advocacy organization fighting gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the entertainment industry.

So?

Um, dinner host Tchen, former chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama and whose top adviser was Jarrett, is the one who weighed in via phone to Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx acting on behalf of the “concerned” family of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.
Backshot: Smollett’s incendiary story of racial assault took a dramatic turn when the cops began eyeballing him as the probable puppet master of his own publicity stunt.
Buckshot: Foxx then reached out to Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson to inform him of the Smollett family’s concerns and eventually recused herself from the case because of the contact she had via the Smollett family. The case was then turned over to the Feds.

So?

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Shami: IMF Talks Difficult if Cabinet Doesn't Convene
[An Nahar] Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Shami said that "we need the approval of the Cabinet to start with the IMF's plan."

"If Cabinet doesn't convene, there would be difficulties to negotiate with the IMF," Shami said.

He added that there is a preliminary agreement on the numbers, and "we are still studying the way to treat the gap."

An IMF delegation met with Lebanese officials, Shami said, adding that the "meetings were not limited to protocols, but included policies and strategies."

"We hope a broader delegation will visit Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady days of human sacrifice to Baal Moloch...
in mid-January to discuss the details of the monetary and economic recovery program," the deputy PM said.

Shami stated that the capital control draft law is "the result of merging two draft laws submitted by the finance and justice committees, based on the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund."

"The capital control draft law aims to protect the depositor before anything else," he added.
