Scottish Government Ignores Frantic Food Crisis Warnings, Embraces Green Piety

#1  Crisis? What "food crisis"? That's only for Africans.
.. 'cept when it's not:

A UK minister has ignored the pleas of farmers to take action against the forthcoming Ukraine food crisis in favour of maintaining her leftist government’s green agenda.

As the Ukraine crisis causes Europe’s food security situation to significantly worsen, British farmers have asked authorities to allow land earmarked for “rewilding” to be used for crops in the hopes of curbing ever-rising food prices.

Yes, when the World Bank warns against hoarding, it's time to begin hoarding
[The vile Reuters via the slightly less vile US News] - World Bank President David Malpass on Monday warned people and businesses against hoarding food and gasoline despite the surge in prices sparked by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and massive sanctions imposed on Moscow.

Malpass told a virtual event hosted by the Washington Post newspaper the sanctions would have a bigger impact on global economic output than the war itself. But he said that based on current assessments, he does not anticipate the crisis ending the global recovery and reducing global GDP.

He said he expected a robust response by producers around the world to increase supplies as needed, and saw no need for people to have extra stockpiles in their kitchens or restaurants.

He said he anticipates big increases in supply of energy outside of Russia and food outside of Russia and Ukraine that will ease the impact of war-driven price spikes and help sustain recovery.

He said that energy supplies may be increased faster than food supplies, given that agricultural adjustments typically take about a year.

More on the Russian anti-aircraft countermeasures
[MSN] Russia has deployed a mystery munition in Ukraine that's stumped ballistic experts.

The munitions are decoys meant to trick air-defense radars and heat-seeking missiles, the New York Times reported, and are released from Iskander-M short-range ballistic missiles. They are each about a foot long and shaped like a dart with an orange tail, American intelligence officials say.

The devices produce radio signals to confuse enemy radars attempting to locate the missiles, and they also contain a heat source to attract other missiles.

This would be the equivalent of turning the Soviets loose with one of the old PERSHING II missiles, letting them take all the penetration aids out, then taking them back to the Rodina for study. They may well have handed us the keys to their SRBM/IRBM kingdom.

How the American Left empowers Putin
[Unherd] For more than a decade, Vladimir Putin has sought to sow division and undermine American democracy. Now that he’s distracted by the conflict unfolding in Ukraine, his successor has stepped into the spotlight: America’s political class.

Once wars united people, but not in modern America. Here, the vast majority of citizens share remarkably similar opinions about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: that it should be condemned outright. Our politicians, however, seem blissfully unaware of this.

In Congress last week, despite strong pro-Kyiv sentiment among the vast majority of Republicans, pro-Trump acolytes constituted the largest faction of those who voted against supplying aid to Ukraine. Yet on this issue, there is little to distinguish them from the Democratic Socialists of America, who have called for America’s exit from the "imperialist" Nato. There are even some on the far-Left who believe the West’s sympathy for Ukrainians reflects our unredeemable racism.
Hello, I must be going....

Absolutely we should exit from NATO. It's a terrible deal for us, providing free money to wealthy countries that can afford to pay but don't. Just because socialists think the same doesn't mean it's a bad idea, socialists like breathing too, you gonna hold your breath just because of that?

Russia duped Europe into energy dependence by funding 'rabid environmental groups': experts
[Fox] Expert James Carafano: 'Russians actually fund some of the most rabid environmental groups in Europe'

For years, world leaders have accused Russia of funding environmental groups in Europe to steer nations away from energy independence and strengthen Russia’s iron grip over the continent. As nations across the globe begin shunning Russian oil in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine, U.S. leaders are also questioning how deep Russia’s ties go in the environmental community.

"The Russians actually fund some of the most rabid environmental groups in Europe because they sic them on the energy projects that aren’t Russian," James Carafano, vice president of the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at the Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital in a recent phone interview.

Back in June 2014, just months after Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine, European leaders sounded off that Russia was using disinformation operations with environmental groups to steer countries away from fracking in favor of Russian oil.

"I have met allies who can report that Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organisations - environmental organisations working against shale gas - to maintain European dependence on imported Russian gas," Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the former prime minister of Denmark and then-secretary-general of NATO, said, according to the Guardian.

NATO’s press office passed the remarks off as Rasmussen’s personal views, but one NATO official sounded the alarm that Russia’s grip on Europe was tightening.

"We don't go into the details of discussions among allied leaders, but Russia has been using a mix of hard and soft power in its attempt to recreate a sphere of influence, including through a campaign of disinformation on many issues, including energy. In general, the potential for Russia using energy supplies as a means of putting pressure on European nations is a matter of concern. No country should use supply and pricing terms as tools of coercion," the NATO official told the Guardian in 2014.

Environmental groups have meanwhile feverishly denied any ties to Russia.

"The idea we’re puppets of Putin is so preposterous that you have to wonder what they’re smoking over at NATO HQ," Greenpeace told the Guardian in 2014.

President Zelensky speech - live: Ukraine president shows powerful video to Congress after comparing invasion to 9/11
[UK's Independent] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed the US Congress virtually after being invited by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. He received a standing ovation when he appeared on the screen before lawmakers.

During his remarks he called on the US to remember Pearl Harbour and the September 11 terrorist attacks as it sees the people of Ukraine attacked and killed by Russian forces.

The Ukrainian president told lawmakers in his wartime address to Congress on Wednesday that Ukraine “experiences the same every day” now as America did during its own darkest days.

Mr Zelensky also asked Congress for Soviet-made air defence systems and fighter jets as an alternative to a Nato-enforced humanitarian no-fly zone over his country’s airspace.

US and Nato officials have so far declined his pleas for a no-fly zone over Ukraine because such a measure would place Nato warplanes at risk of direct engagement with Russian aircraft, raising the possibility of a nuclear confrontation.

LAter today President Joe Biden is expected to announce $800m (£612m) of aid to the eastern European country, a sum that would bring the total aid sent to Ukraine in the last week alone to $1bn.

Mr Biden is also reportedly considering providing Ukraine with US-made drones, including the recently developed so-called “loitering missile” system known as Switchblade. Drones have played a major part in Ukraine’s defence against the Russian assault, in particular TB2 drones supplied by Turkey.

Haven't watched the video yet. I might not watch it at all. Zelensky's plea for a no-fly zone has cost him all the sympathy I might have had for him. I can't help all the things that the likes of John McCain told Ukrainians but the idea that America will enter WWIII for the sake of his ass is so ludicrous that I really don't care what he says anymore. I think he should make a deal with Putin to avoid any further loss of life and destruction.

#13  The willingness to tempt nuclear winter for Ukraine is past insane, are there so few adults left in DC or the media that they cannot reason past their emotional reaction to the harsh realities of life when the strong prey on the weak. Emotional manipulation must not overcome stalwart reasoning about what is and is not America's genuine national security interest. The Demokrats who orchestrated this well done appeal from a brave man who wants us to save his country were using every tool in the political playbook to make the issue dominate the media coverage and overwhelm the looming catastrophe that is the MidTerm election. The ruination of their control of the federal government is assured if our short attention span citizens can see the consequences of what one year of Marxism has done. That desperation has them transforming a epic tragedy in Urkraine into a purported crisis demanding our total attention while it suppresses awareness of the disaster that is the Bidet Administration off the media for the next few months. 10+% percent inflation, food shortages, rising unemployment, urban crime, gas prices, the inundation of our nation by millions and millions of illegals, the billions and billions of wasted funds on Covid and stimulus, 31 trillion in national debt, tripling in the past twelve years, the looming collapse of the dollar as world reserve currency, the Durham investigation, massive proof of voter irregularities, CRT, incessant race-baiting, educational catastrophes for our kids, all this is hidden beneath the combat footage, refugee stories and massive destruction in a place that not one American in ten can find on a map. The adults left in citizenry must not let this community-organizer manipulation succeed!

President Zelensky address to the Canadian Parliament (video)
[CBS] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a powerful, personal appeal to Canada today to do more to help his embattled country withstand the invasion by Russia.

He spoke via video link on Tuesday to Parliament, where he received sustained standing ovations from members of Parliament and senators.

Zelensky spoke about the suffering experienced by the Ukrainian people and said that 97 children have been killed in the 20 days since the beginning of the war.

In his speech, which was laced with references to Canadian cities and landmarks, Zelensky asked rhetorically how Canadians would feel if Russia laid siege to Vancouver or targeted the CN Tower in Toronto. He listed off some of the historic sites in Ukraine that have come under bombardment.

"Imagine that Canadian facilities have been bombed similarly as our buildings and memorial places are being bombed," Zelensky said. "A number of families have died. Every night is a horrible night."

Key Biden Defense Nominee Is Adam Schiff's Aide Who Trained at Hunter Biden's Think Tank, and Fell For A Russian Prank Offering Nudes of Trump
[NationalPulse] Rheanne Wirkkala – recently tapped by President Joe Biden to advise Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin – appears to have been duped by a prank phone call offering compromising material on Donald Trump while working for her prior boss, Congressman Adam Schiff.

Wirkkala, who is awaiting Senate confirmation for the role of Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the Pentagon, currently serves as the Special Assistant for Strategy to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. “In that role, Wirkkala helps drive Secretary Austin’s national defense priorities, and is responsible for long-term strategic planning for the Secretary of Defense,” explains the White House.

Despite Wirkkala’s influential role in America’s military planning, the former top aide to Congressman Schiff appears to have fallen for a prank carried out by Russian comedians who offered to give the California congressman’s ‘compromising’ dirt on Donald Trump.

Amongst the items offered by pranksters posing as the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament were nude photos of President Trump and a Russian reality show star. Schiff appeared to be taking notes on the conversation and repeatedly inquired about spellings of names and documentation he could send to the FBI.

“I’ll be in touch with the FBI about this. And we’ll make arrangements with your staff. I think it probably would be best to provide these materials both to our committee and to the FBI,” said Schiff during the conversation.

E-mails provided to the Daily Mail show Wirkkala praising the call as “productive” as well as attempting to arrange a “pick up” of “materials.”

“I understand Mr. Schiff had a productive call with Mr. Parubiy, and that Mr. Parubiy would like to make some material available to Mr. Schiff through your embassy,” wrote Wirkkala to the pranksters, according to the April 4, 2017 email.

Wirkkala is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Truman National Security Project Security Fellow, the latter being a pro-war, left-wing foreign policy think-tank which once boasted of both Hunter Biden and Ron Klain on its board.

Palestinian killed in overnight West Bank clashes
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian officials say man in his 20s killed early Tuesday in Qalandiya refugee camp near Jerusalem

Paleostinian health officials said a Paleostinian was shot and killed by Israeli forces during festivities in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of Jerusalem. Police said Israeli forces raided the camp to arrest two terror suspects wanted by the Shin Bet.

"Alaa Shaham, a twenty-something young man, was shot in the head by live fire," the PA Health Ministry said.

Another six Paleostinians were maimed by live fire, the ministry said.

Clashes erupted at the scene of one of the arrests, during which "hundreds" of Paleostinians hurled heavy objects from rooftops, police said.

"Undercover Border Police troops responded with riots dispersal means and live fire, and completed the mission without casualties to our forces," police said in a statement.

No police or military casualties were reported.

Nine Paleostinians have been killed in violent mostly peaceful confrontations with Israeli troops in recent weeks. Some died in shootouts with Israeli soldiers near Jenin, and others died in attempted stabbing attacks in Jerusalem’s Old City.

In a murkier incident earlier this month, Israeli soldiers shot and killed 19-year-old Paleostinian student Ammar Abu Afifa near Hebron. The army later declined to accuse him of any violent mostly peaceful activity, saying that soldiers saw him approaching a lookout post, chased after him and shot him.

Officials have warned of a possible flare-up of violence during Ramadan next month, and Shin Bet head Ronen Bar reportedly held talks with his FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
counterpart in Washington this week on the matter. Public Security Minister Omer Barlev, who oversees the police, warned in response to the Jerusalem stabbing attacks that "snuffies and Lions of Islam will try to set the area on fire" in the coming weeks.

#1  A paleo is killed or maimed daily. This is routine and sadly mundane. Questionably belongs on the TOP of the WOT page. Grom used to submit these stories daily. We can do better.

#2  The story is filed under Israel, as such stories always have been, Xyz. It appears at the top od the Page 1 article list because it was chronologically the last article submitted for the page. This also is how it’s always been.

But yes, Palestinians manage to get themselves killed frequently, though irregularly there’s a quiet period. Right now we’re heading into Ramadan, so they can be expected to get more active.

Secret Klingon training program in Ukraine helped Kyiv prepare for Russian invasion
[Pehal News] Ukrainian snipers had an issue: Russian forces in jap Ukraine had been attempting to blind them.

As the Ukrainians had been wanting by means of their scopes in order to search out their targets, the Russians had begun pinpointing their location utilizing the glare of the glass, and had been taking pictures high-energy lasers into them, damaging the snipers’ eyesight.

The two sides had been squaring off in shut proximity. In early 2014, Russia had already invaded and annexed Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula. Shortly thereafter, pro-Russia insurgents in the jap Donbas area started a grinding secessionist warfare towards Kyiv.

Russian troops quickly entered the fray. So, quietly, did the CIA.

As the battle strains hardened in Donbas, a small, choose group of veteran CIA paramilitaries made their first secret journeys to the frontlines to fulfill with Ukrainian counterparts there, based on former U.S. officers.

CIA paramilitaries quickly concluded that, in Russia and its proxies, the company was dealing with an adversary whose capabilities far outmatched the Islamist teams that CIA had been battling in the post-9/11 wars. "We learned a lot real quick," says a former senior intelligence official — together with in regards to the Russians’ laser-blinding methods. "That s*** wouldn’t happen with the Taliban."

Since Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine final month — which remodeled a long-simmering, attritional battle into an explosive, all-out warfare — the Ukrainian navy has defied predictions of a fast collapse, holding key cities towards the Russian advance and inflicting punishing losses to Russian troops and materiel.

When The Establishment Cries Treason: Does Criticizing The US Make Gabbard a Russian Stooge?
[SpectatorWorld] Mitt Romney calls Tulsi Gabbard ‘treasonous’ as war becomes an excuse for the lazy
Senator Mittens is looking for attention again, but really nobody cares.
Last week, former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard released a video calling for a ceasefire in areas around American-funded biolabs in Ukraine. She also called for the United States to reconsider its support for these facilities, which experiment with pathogens that could be accidentally released in a time of war.

For the crime of preferring that Europeans not die en masse from biological poisons, Gabbard was accused by Senator Mitt Romney of "parroting false Russian propaganda" and spreading "treasonous lies."
The rest is paywalled.

#3  The rest is paywalled.
Here it is. Including a delicious takedown of David Frum

Yet Romney’s smear was more than just an unseemly hypocrisy. It was a glimpse into the future, an example of how war and propaganda are going to work in our very online and very interconnected world. The formula seems to go something like this: an American voices less than full-throated support for Ukraine — or just endorses a position that happens to dovetail with Russian interests. This is then trumpeted by Russian media (Gabbard’s remarks have been played on Moscow TV). Back in the States, hysterics on Twitter seize on this as ironclad proof of secret allegiance to a hostile power. Free inquiry is chilled accordingly.

If Gabbard is a Russian stooge because Russian media picked up on some of her words, then so am I. Several years ago, I wrote a piece advocating against American involvement in the Syrian Civil War. It was picked up by Sputnik, a Russian online media outlet, which espouses the Russian line in only the finest of broken English. And understandably so: Moscow was then fighting in Syria to prop up the Assad regime. They wanted the West to stay out, which also happened to be my position, albeit for different reasons.

Did this accidental alignment make me guilty of treason? What about my skepticism over expanding NATO or my questioning why American troops are still in Germany? Does my sedition know no bounds?

Somehow, despite my relentless propagandizing, I’ve never seen a single ruble for my troubles (what am I, chopped pelmeni?). One of the best kept secrets in American politics is that the anti-fracking movement is rolling in Russian money, since Moscow wants to eliminate the U.S. as a competitor to its own fossil fuels industry. Yet I don’t see leftists standing underneath wind turbines screaming “TRAITOR!”

The fact of the matter is that Russia opposes American and Western influence in the world, whether military, economic or cultural. If a commentator expresses any skepticism of that influence, Moscow tries to amplify their voice. Yet that also doesn’t by itself invalidate the position. Debating natural gas extraction is not verboten just because Moscow happens to have an opinion on it. Biological pathogens don’t suddenly lose their kick because morons on Twitter are screaming about kompromat, which they still think is where Russians go to do their laundry.

This is what happens in a time of war: inconvenient truths become unutterable; the Overton Window narrows to a pinhole. The climate right now feels as hysterical as it’s been since the 2002 run-up to the invasion of Iraq. That was when dissenters were casually maligned as turncoats, when David Frum was writing his hilariously overwrought essay “Unpatriotic Conservatives,” which all but accused the antiwar right of adoring Saddam Hussein. “They began by hating the neoconservatives,” Frum intoned. “They came to hate their party and this president. They have finished by hating their country.”

Russia sanctions 13 Americans, including Joe and Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton
[NYP] Russia announced sanctions Tuesday against Americans including President Joe Biden, his scandal-scarred son Hunter Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In a statement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said the restrictions — which came amid waves of sanctions by the US and its allies that have crippled Russia’s economy over the invasion of Ukraine — were "the consequence" of what it called the White House’s "extremely Russophobic policy."

The move prevents those named from entering Russia and freeze any assets they have there, according to the BBC. Moscow called the restrictions "personal sanctions" and a "stop list" based on "the principle of reciprocity."

The foreign ministry also warned that additional sanctions would follow against other, unspecified "Russophobic" US officials, military officers, lawmakers, business owners and media figures.

The measures — which target 13 Americans, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — won’t prevent them from engaging in high-level communications with Russia, the news agency said.

How Russia's tactics are evolving in Ukraine
[Aljazeera] The last week has seen a marked change in tactics from the Russian military as the scope of the war in Ukraine has widened.

Advanced weapons, especially man-portable anti-tank and air defence systems, as well as small arms and ammunition, have been pouring into Ukraine.

These have made a significant impact on the battlefield as Russian tanks, armoured vehicles, supply trucks and helicopters have repeatedly been targeted and destroyed.

These attacks have helped slow Russia’s advance as it continues its drive into the country from three directions — from the north towards the capital Kyiv; from the east with a focus on besieging Kharkiv and Mariupol; and from the south, where Russian units, having taken Kherson, have crossed the Dnieper River in two places and are now advancing along both sides of it, as well as pressuring the city of Mykolaiv and the Ukrainian defences near the city of Zaporizhzhia.

Russian units have consolidated their grip on Mariupol, taking surrounding towns and widening the corridor that links Crimea to Donetsk. Only a small strip of coastline, centred around the port city of Odesa, is now under Ukrainian control.

FOREIGN FIGHTERS AND RUSSIAN FLOUNDERING
It is not just weapons that are flooding into Ukraine. Volunteers are streaming into the country by any means they can in order to fight.

More than 60,000 Ukrainians from its diaspora have returned to the country and are now engaged in fighting Russia, according to Ukraine’s defence minister, Oleksii Reznikov.

Foreign fighters are all also making their way, driven by a variety of ideologies and reasons, with Ukraine saying that 20,000 people have applied to join the international legion created in response to the Russian invasion.

#1  They seem to devolve back to circa 1945. Trying to carry out the largest combat operation since the suppression of the Prague Spring of '68, the Russians failed in their attempt to copy nuances of contemporary Western military tactics.* Instead they have fallen back on using the shear weight of the old Red Army (without the wartime production to fill the losses and resources expended).

* don't worry Russophiles, the Americans are deconstructing any advantage they had attained. Remember when an enemy is destroying itself, don't interfere.

China-Japan-Koreas
China's continued economic IV drip should keep Russia alive and everyone in line.
[ZERO] Last week we wrote about collateral analysis and how it could facilitate a hand-off from Dollar to Yuan as reserve currency in a Crisis of Commodities. Today we write about how the Russian-Ukraine war factors into that calculus from China’s perspective and their possible decision analysis.

China can and will keep the Russian economy on life support via goods trade. So begins a truthful report by Christopher Granville for TS Lombard describing the increasing influence of China on the outcome of the Russo-Ukraine war raging right now.

The upside of that truth? Russia is less likely to commit (more) desperate acts to survive Western sanctions. The less obvious downside of it? China becomes the king-maker in a conflict between Europe and Russia as preventer of those desperate acts. In being king-maker, and war-preventer, they could become one step closer to reserve currency.

CHINA DECIDES WHO WINS THE WAR
Here's an idea. How about you and him go have a nice fight.
At first glance, China’s stated neutral stance may not seem a very powerful position. Politically this is largely correct. Not lending overt weapon-support or mediating on Russia’s behalf hardly seem like power plays on China’s part, right? But economically the picture is much smarter for them to remain neutral. As the report states:

China’s do-nothing approach could prove important in keeping the Russian economy on life support.

And this is the brilliance of China’s strategic neutrality. Their keeping the Russian economy barely alive serves as a backstop preventing escalation into global conflict. The West knows this and must deal with it. Without China’s oil demand, the West’s sanctions are a declaration of World War on Russia.

Conversely, Russia knows that without Chinese demand; Their economy is screwed. Putin would risk civil war. He would then either escalate hostilities or capitulate to Western sanctions.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Has Russia Been Financing Western Environmentalism?
[Gatestone] Have Western environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs), movements and parties been possible, even unwitting, collaborators with the Russian government for the last ten years?

This question arises from a recent report by the Foundation for Political Innovation (Fondapol) in Paris. Fondapol's director, Dominique Reynié, said in a recent interview:
"We have found Gazprom funding in particular environmental NGOs, which furnished certain European countries with ministers -- Belgium for example -- who then evidently embarked on a sort of return of favor by defending an exit from nuclear power."

These allegations are not new.

The Guardian, already in 2014, quoted NATO's then Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, making the following accusation:
"I have met allies who can report that Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organisations - environmental organisations working against shale gas - to maintain European dependence on imported Russian gas."

Below Europe's soil lie large reserves of shale gas, also known as bedrock gas. The exploitation of these natural gas reserves would have substantially reduced Europe's purchases of, and dependence on, Russia's gas -- in particular on its gas giant, Gazprom. The same is true of nuclear power, which offers Westerners an abundant, non-CO2-emitting energy source as an alternative to Russian gas.

Hence the interest, for the Russian government, in mounting a vast disinformation campaign against shale gas and nuclear power in the West, by massively financing the groups most likely "naturally" to oppose it: environmentalist organizations.

On June 29, 2017, two of America's leading federal lawmakers on energy issues, US Representatives Randy Weber and Lamar Smith , sent a letter to then-Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, demanding an investigation into the funding of US environmental organizations by the government of the Russian Federation. According to The Hill:

#2  From the Daily Mail article linked by Gateway Pundit:

According to officials familiar with the investigation, the Toebbes selected Brazil because they believed the nation was eager to acquire nuclear technology and wealthy enough to afford to buy their secrets, but not hostile towards the U.S.

The couple reportedly believed soliciting secrets to American adversaries - such as Russia or China - was immoral, text messages presented in court revealed.

Gingrich slams Biden administration as 'cowardly and pathetic'
[Washington Examiner] Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called the Biden administration "the most timid, cowardly and pathetic administration in modern American history" in a Fox News appearance Tuesday.
you left out "incompetent"
The former Georgia congressman was commenting specifically on President Joe Biden's performance with regard to the conflict in Ukraine.

During a recent trip to Warsaw, Poland, Vice President Kamala Harris bungled a reporter's question regarding Ukrainian refugees. Instead of answering right away, she laughed the question off to Polish President Andrzej Duda.

"If you watch Kamala Harris in Europe, it was an embarrassment to have that person represent the United States because she's so totally, utterly incompetent," Gingrich said on The Faulkner Focus. "I think the Europeans have taken our measure. I don't think anybody in Europe looks to the United States right now to provide any leadership of any kind."

"We have enormous capability. We have many very competent people. If they were unleashed, we would in fact end up defeating Putin, and he would end up being driven out of power by his own government," Gingrich said. "But instead, we are intimidated by him. We're allowing him to get away with war crimes."

Iran returns passport of detained UK charity worker
[AlAhram] Iranian authorities have returned the passport of a U.K. woman who has been detained in the country for almost six years, raising hopes of progress in negotiations toward her release.

Charity worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe remains at her parents' home in Tehran, said Tulip Siddiq, her local politician in the U.K.

``I also understand that there is a British negotiating team in Tehran right now,'' Siddiq said on Twitter. ``I will keep posting updates as I get them.''

Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who has dual U.K.-Iranian citizenship, served five years in prison after being taken into custody at Tehran's airport in April 2016. She was later convicted of plotting the overthrow of Iran's government, a charge that she, her supporters and rights groups deny.

She has been held under house arrest and unable to leave the country since her release.

Zaghari-Ratcliffe's local lawyer, Hojjat Kermani, also told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named she had received her British passport. However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
Kermani said she remained banned from leaving the country.

``We hope that these negotiations will be concluded soon,'' he said.

Karnataka HC upholds Hijab ban: A look at countries where veils are barred
[OneIndia] Karnataka High Court on Tuesday ruled that the hijab is not essential to Islam in a landmark case that could have implications across the country.

The prescription of school uniform is only a reasonable restriction, constitutionally permissible which the students cannot object to, a three-judge bench of the court further noted.

Prescription of uniform is a reasonable restriction on fundamental rights under Article 25, the court said.

No case is made out for invalidating the government order of February 5, the court said.

The demand by a section of Moslem girls in an Udupi pre-university college to wear Hijab inside their classrooms erupted into a major row after some Hindu students turned up in saffron shawls with the issue spreading to other parts of the state, even as the government insisted on a uniform norm.

Hijab verdict: 4 Key questions and their answers by Karnataka high court

[OneIndia] The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday ruled that the wearing of the hijab is not an essential practice in Islam. Advocate KV Dhananjay, appearing for the petitioners, said, 'We will move the Supreme Court after the full high court order is out".

The four questions were:

1. Whether wearing hijab/head-scarf is a part of 'essential religious practice' in Islamic Faith protected under Article 25 of the Constitution?

2. Whether prescription of school uniform is not legally permissible, as being violative of petitioners Fundamental Rights inter alia guaranteed under Articles, 19(1)(a), (i.e., freedom of expression) and 21, (i.e., privacy) of the Constitution?

3. Whether the Government Order dated 05.02.2022 apart from being incompetent is issued without application of mind and further is manifestly arbitrary and therefore, violates Articles 14 & 15 of the Constitution?

4. Whether any case is made out in W.P.No.2146/2022 for issuance of a direction for initiating disciplinary enquiry against respondent Nos.6 to 14 and for issuance of a Writ of Quo Warranto against respondent Nos.15 & 16?

What the court said:

1. "We are of the considered opinion that wearing of Hijab by Muslim women does not form a part of essential religious practice in Islamic faith," Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi who headed the full bench of the High Court said reading out portion of the order.

2. The prescription of school uniform is only a reasonable restriction, constitutionally permissible which the students cannot object to, a three-judge bench of the court further noted.

3. The bench maintained that the government has power to issue impugned government order dated February 5, 2022 and no case is made out for its invalidation. By the said order, the state government had banned wearing clothes which disturb equality, integrity and public order in schools and colleges.

4. The court also rejected the plea to initiate a disciplinary inquiry against the college, its principal and a teacher. "In the above circumstances, all these writ petitions being devoid of merits are liable to be and accordingly are dismissed.

In view of the dismissal of the writ petition, all the pending applications fell into insignificance and are accordingly disposed off," the bench said in its

"The institution did not have any rule on Hijab-wearing as such and no one used to wear it to the classroom in the last 35 years. The students who came with the demand had the backing of outside forces," Gowda had said.

Car Bomb in Yemen Targets Security Commander; 4 Killed
[AnNahar] At least four people were killed by a boom-mobile Tuesday in war-torn Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
. At least eight people, including a security bigshot, were maimed, officials said.

The explosion took place in the city of Zinjibar and targeted the convoy of Abdel-Latif el-Sayed, commander of the so-called Security Belt force in the southern province of Abyan
...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues...
, the officials said. The casualties were taken to hospitals for treatment, they said.

Zinjibar is the Abyan historic provincial capital.

The Security Belt is a militia, trained and funded by the United Arab Emirates and loyal to the secessionist Southern Transitional Council.

The explosion damaged at least four vehicles of el-Sayed's convoy, according to security officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief media. Images from the scene showed at least one white Toyota pick-up truck burnt.

Following the earth-shattering kaboom, el-Sayed spoke to local media and said he was slightly maimed in what he called a "terrorist attack." He did not give further details.

No one immediately grabbed credit.

Such blasts are common in war-torn Yemen, where fighting between government forces and Iran's Houthi sock puppets

Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...

In October, at least 14 people were killed in two separate explosions in the southern city of Aden, the seat of the internationally recognized government.

Government Corruption
The State of ‘Justice’ in the U.S.
[RedState] Last week the case of January 6 defendant Lucas Denney gained considerable attention when the defense sought Mr. Denney’s release because of two Government violations of his pre-trial rights. Denney had been locked up for more than 80 days without having a Preliminary Hearing (to which he was entitled within 14 days) or being indicted within 30 days of his arrest, as required by the Speedy Trial Act. The defense filed separate motions for these violations.

To prevent the court from releasing Denney, the Government rushed through an indictment last Monday only hours before a magistrate judge was to consider the first defense motion. While this maneuver succeeded in keeping Denney locked up, in its hurry the Government charged Denney with only one count of assaulting a federal officer rather than the 12 offenses for which he was originally arrested on a Complaint. Doubtless, the Government intended to later obtain a superseding indictment against Denney that would include all 12 original charges.

Today, however, when Denney was brought before the court to be arraigned on that single charge, he surprised the Government and the court by seeking to plead guilty to it. This was very astute lawyering by Denney’s counsel to take advantage of the Government’s tactical misstep. By pleading to a one-count indictment, Denney obtains a better resolution than the Government would have ever offered him as a plea deal, and the constitutional protection against double jeopardy would prevent the Government from bringing the additional charges against Denney. In the chess match of criminal procedure, it was a checkmate move by the defense.

But the court temporarily halted the move by refusing to let Denney enter a plea, saying that it wanted to research the issue. Thus, after a bit of drama today, the saga isn’t finished yet. It will resume on Thursday when Denney is again brought before the court.
I have no words for this.

End of 1918. Fights on the Eastern Front
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] After the first and large-scale successes of the Czechoslovaks, the situation on the Eastern Front of the Soviet Republic began to change for the better. The main achievement of the period of retreat, with all its colossal losses, was that the counter-revolution never succeeded in creating a united front from the Sea of Azov to the White Sea, even from Kazan to Arkhangelsk. As early as September 2, 1918, the entire territory of the RSFSR was declared a single military camp. On September 30, the Regulations on the Revolutionary Military Council were issued. The Revolutionary Military Council became the supreme military authority in the RSFSR, having absorbed the powers of the People's Commissariat for Military Affairs, the People's Commissar headed the Revolutionary Military Council, to which the command structure was subordinate - the General Staff, the Main Supply Directorate, the Military Legislative Council, the Higher Military Inspectorate and so on. The Chairman of the Revolutionary Military Council was appointed by the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, Commander-in-Chief, who received complete freedom on issues of strategic and operational decisions, was appointed by the Council of People's Commissars. I. I. Vatsetis became the first commander in chief.

“Supported by the entire working population of the country,” the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee said, “the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army will crush and drive back the imperialist predators who trample the soil of the Soviet Republic.”

International Law Goes to War in Ukraine
[FOREIGNAFFAIRS] The Russian invasion of Ukraine is the most brazen illegal war waged by one sovereign state against another since World War II. The Kremlin launched the invasion in clear violation of the core obligation in the UN Charter, which prohibits the "use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state." Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
has recently threatened that if Ukrainians continue to resist, they "risk the future of Ukrainian statehood." And there is an avalanche of real-time evidence emerging from Ukraine that the Russian military is committing war crimes throughout the country—including by targeting civilians.

These extraordinary acts of law-breaking have been met with equally extraordinary acts of law enforcement. The most widely discussed response to the blatantly illegal war has been an unprecedented cascade of coordinated sanctions by the United States, Europe, and much of the rest of the world. Those sanctions have been applied specifically and directly in response to Russia’s violation of the UN Charter. As a result, the sanctions send a clear message: the invasion of Ukraine is a threat not just to Ukraine but to the international legal order as well. By joining the sanctions, states around the world are making clear that they, too, reject Russia’s illegal invasion and the violation it represents.

Fox News cameraman and producer killed in Ukraine
[Guardian] Two Fox News journalists — producer Oleksandra Kuvshynova and cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski — were killed in the attack outside Kyiv which injured correspondent Benjamin Hall, the US network and its journalists confirmed on Tuesday.

Fox News in a statement only announced the death of Zakrzewski, an Irish citizen. Ukrainian officials and Fox News reporters confirmed that Kuvshynova was also killed in the attack.

"RIP Pierre and Sasha," the Fox News Pentagon correspondent, Lucas Tomlinson, wrote on Twitter, using a diminutive name for the producer, and sharing a recent picture of the two, smiling with Hall.

Zakrzewski, 55, and Kuvshynova, 24, died "as a result of artillery shelling by Russian troops in the north-eastern part of the village of Gorenka", Ukrainian website kp.ua said.

The news follows the death in Ukraine on Sunday of Brent Renaud, an American film-maker, who was shot in an area near where the Fox journalists were attacked.

Fox News had announced Hall’s injury on Monday, the reporter "was injured while newsgathering outside of Kyiv in Ukraine".

...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission Forces [AMISOM]. The KDF soldiers have often been targeted not only in Gedo but also across the country especially in Middle Jubba.

The Monday morning incident also left five soldiers critically injured, officials added. The lorry carrying troops ran over an Improvised Explosive Device [IED] which was placed along the road by the al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

Death Eaters.

According to reports, the vehicle was in a convoy that had drawn water from a point inside Kenya and was crossing into Somalia for use when it happened at about 1 pm. Until now, the Department of Defense in Nairobi is yet to confirm the incident.

The vehicle, images showed, was badly dismembered and the injured soldiers have since been rushed to Forces Memorial Hospital in Nairobi. al-Shabaab has been targeting innocent civilians and security forces using IEDs.

Officials said the Death Eaters are exploiting the low-cost strategy and deploying them near operating bases or main supply routes to attack their targets.

This is happening both locally especially in the northern part of the country and in Somalia. KDF troops are among those under Amisom that are operating in Somalia whose main duty is to suppress the Death Eaters.

KDF team has been in Somalia since 2011 and the group managed to flush out al-Shabaab from Kismayo
...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region....
, the regional administrative capital of Jubaland in an operation dubbed "Operation Sledge Hammer".

There are close to 3,500 KDF soldiers in Somalia who mainly serve in Sectors II and IV of the AMISOM jurisdiction. The soldiers, despite liberating several strategic towns, lost immensely in 2016 and 2017 after attacks at El-Adde and Kulbiyow respectively.

Russia sanctions Biden and several top US officials, and more fantasies
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

An Nahar has the deets:
Russia's foreign ministry said Tuesday that U.S. President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. The dumbass who abandoned Afghanistan....
and a dozen other brass hats had been banned from entering the country in a reciprocal response to U.S. sanctions.

The measure, which also applies to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, "is the consequence of the extremely Russophobic policy pursued by the current U.S. administration," the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.

In response to Russia's military intervention in Ukraine, the United States banned Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as well as adopting sanctions that have largely cut Russia off financially from the rest of the world.

Russia also put on its stop list Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Central Intelligence Agency Director William Burns and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki
...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama. A new American success story, under Biden she became spokeswoman for the whole administration, and she was even able to get her sister a job...
Also on the list are Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh, U.S. Agency for International Development chief Samantha Power, Deputy Treasury Secretary Adewale Adeyemo, and US Export-Import Bank chief Reta Jo Lewis.

Russia also banned from entry Biden's son Hunter and former secretary of state and Democratic presidential candidate Crooked Hillary Clinton
...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away. The foreign ministry warned Moscow will soon announce additional sanctions against a range of "Russophobic" U.S. officials, military officers, politicians, businessmen and media personalities.

95% people eat insufficiently in Afghanistan: UN
[Khaama] hard to believe Allah won't adequately provide for his chosen, Maybe they need sporks? Naaaahh... especially 100% of the wymyn's families? I thought they were protected under the new "sensitive" Talibanese?
United Nations has expressed concern over food insecurity, food insufficiency, and the humanitarian crisis in large and added that 95 of the Afghan population cannot eat sufficiently while the percentage is one hundred in female-headed households.

The UN has said that the number of those experiencing acute hunger rose to 23 million in March 2022 from 14 million in July 2021.

Deputy Special Representative for the Secretary-General and President Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator Ramiz Alakbarov in a press release made public on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, said that acute hunger in Afghanistan has led people to resort to desperate measures as skipping meals or taking high debts.

Ramiz Alakbarov in particular said that the situation has adversely affected children in Afghanistan wherein 3.5 million minors need nutrition treatment.

"Hospital wards are filled with children suffering from malnutrition, smaller than they should be, many weighing at one year what an infant of six months would weigh in a developed country, and some are so weak that they are not able to move." Said Alakbarov in the statement.

The Deputy Special Representative further added, continued drought, financial and banking systems are other contributors to the crisis. The latter has made 80 percent of Afghan people facing debt.

Calling on the World Community to increase the level of humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, Alakbarov acknowledged that the UN and humanitarian partners will scale up response activities reaching remote areas of Afghanistan.

It comes as the United Nations, UK, Germany, and Qatar are holding a conference on March 31 that will be concentrated on Afghanistan’s situation.

#1
Remember a large part of the Afghan food and other issues is being caused by their new religious focused roughshod leadership.

While feeling bad as an American for the mess that the Biden Admin left in Afghanistan. Given the USA has already pumped in more than $500 million in humanitarian assistance for the people of Afghanistan since Biden stole office. I ask ...
Where did it all go?

Note: The USA is the largest financial provider at 22+% for the entire UN budget. There should be enough $$$$ to handle some world hunger issues.

SIDE NOTE:
Given the USDA's own cited 40+ Million number of USA Citizens living in hunger. We also have our own hunger issue here in the USA. Along with growing common food item shortages and/or food prices exceeding many USA family incomes.

Shouldn't we focus on saving our own people before others?

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Greenfield: Ukrainian Chutzpah
By Daniel Greenfield

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

[FrontPage] Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel is not happy. Ambassador Korniychuk has demanded that Israel cut off all business dealings with Russia. Meanwhile Ukraine’s business dealings with Iran rose over 30% and reached nearly $2 billion. Iranian exports to Ukraine increased by 40%.

That means Iran is literally financing Islamic terrorism against Israel. And genocide.

Is Ukraine ready to stop all business dealings with Iran in exchange for Israel ending its business dealings with Russia? Don’t be silly. These demands only go one way.

Ukraine's President Zelensky has repeatedly invoked the Holocaust in the influence campaign against the Russian invasion of his country. “What is the point of saying ‘never again’ for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar?” he tweeted.

A better question might be why is a country whose people were responsible for much of the killing of Jews at Babi Yar is shamelessly appropriating the Holocaust for its propaganda.

Especially since Ukraine, like Russia, continues to finance the modern genocide of Jews.

During the Holocaust, Ukrainian nationalists participated in large numbers in the massacres of Jews. Including at Babi Yar. Rather than feel any sense of shame for this, Bandera and his thugs, who were responsible for the murder of tens of thousands of Jews, are national heroes and continue to be celebrated in Ukraine. Including by Zelensky.

"Stepan Bandera is a hero for a certain part of Ukrainians, and this is a normal and cool thing. He was one of those who defended the freedom of Ukraine," Zelensky argued a few years ago.

You can wrap your cause in the Holocaust or celebrate Bandera, but you can’t do both.

“Addressing all the Jews of the world: Don’t you see why this is happening? That is why it is very important that millions of Jews around the world do not remain silent right now," Zelensky recently demanded in a speech that was helpfully translated into Hebrew by his office.

What is happening in Ukraine is wrong, but it is not genocide. Unlike Nazi Germany and its Ukranian nationalist allies, the Russians are not marching tens of thousands of Ukrainian men, women, and children, stripping them, shooting them, and throwing them into pits. Nor, like Ukraine’s Iranian trading partners, is Russia plotting to drop nuclear bombs on its cities.

Heh. A master of irony. The Mel Brooks of Kiev. Oh wait... What's a little genocidal killing among friends?

From The Times of Israel:
During World War II, Bandera led the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, whose men killed thousands of Jews and Poles, including women and children, while fighting alongside Nazi Germany against the Red Army and communists.

Bandera’s supporters claim that they sided with the Nazis against the Soviet army in the belief that Adolf Hitler would grant independence to Ukraine.

Expressions of admiration for Bandera and other collaborators have increased in scope and status following the 2014 revolution in Ukraine, which toppled the regime of Viktor Yanukovych amid claims that he is a Russian stooge, and triggered an armed conflict with Russia.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Iran blames Israel for destroying hundreds of Iranian drones - report
[JPost] If so, GOOD
Tehran also releases more details of alleged thwarting Mossad hit on Fordow nuclear facility.

The latest explosive exchanges between Israel and Iran may relate to Israel having destroyed hundreds of Iranian drones last month, according to a mix of Israeli and Lebanese reports.

Neither country had even mentioned the reported attack on a critical base in Western Iran until earlier this week, when it was first reported by the Lebanese television station Al Mayadeen, which is linked to both Hezbollah and Iran. Tehran blames Israel, but Jerusalem has not taken responsibility.

Subsequently, Haaretz on Tuesday confirmed the report and added a number of details with other Israeli media also filling in some details.

According to Al Mayadeen, this was the reason for Saturday night’s Iranian missile attack on Erbil on an alleged Mossad training base. Iranian media on Tuesday continued to add details about the number of alleged Mossad agents who were hit by their attack on Erbil.

Many sources have contradicted the idea that there was a Mossad base there. The Islamic Republic often manufactures reports of busting Mossad agents to cover for going after local opposition figures.

But the juxtaposition with what most government officials and outside experts said was a massive Iranian cyberattack on Monday night suggests that Tehran genuinely felt it was hit hard somewhere and needed to hit back in a large and public way.

At the same time, Iranian media also continued to release more details about its alleged nabbing of Mossad agents who tried to recruit a member of Iran’s IR-6 centrifuge team at its Fordow nuclear facility.
For some reason The Times of Israel spells it Fordo.
While this report could also be disinformation, the degree of detail was unusual and resembled other earlier plots by the Mossad to infiltrate nuclear facilities via supply-chain penetration. Moreover, some of the reports went into great detail about earlier successful reported Mossad hits on Iranian nuclear scientists, giving the reports at least the unusual appearance of heft since Tehran was not claiming perfection in its conflict with the Israeli spy agency by any means.

In mid-February, Reuters reported that a fire broke out at a military base in western Iran, potentially being the location of the drones though without mentioning the drones, based on a report from media affiliated with the country’s Supreme National Security Council reported.

"On Monday morning, a fire broke out in a stockroom where motor oil and other flammable materials were stored in one of the support bases of the Revolutionary Guards in the Mahidasht region of Kermanshah Province, causing damage to an industrial shed," Nour news reported.

That report merely said that the fire was put out by rescuers, and that teams had been dispatched to the support base to investigate the cause of the incident, without referencing the drones.

...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
's Pulwama district on Tuesday morning, police said.

Quoting a police brass hat, news agency GNS reported that an LeT krazed killer was killed in the counter-insurgency operation in Charsoo.

As per the official sources, the slain krazed killer has been identified as Owais Raja from Subhanpora Bijbehera. He had been missing for the last three months, said the report.

Earlier on a specific input generated by J&K Police, a joint team of police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

As the joint team intensified the searches at the suspected spot, the hiding krazed killer opened fire, triggering a shootout.

[The War Zone]:Ukraine Strikes Back: Barrage Leaves Russian-Occupied Kherson Airbase In Flames
[War Zone] satellite image The War Zone has obtained from Planet Labs confirms that Ukrainian forces have damaged and destroyed a number of Russian helicopters, and caused other damage, in an attack on Kherson Airbase in the southern part of the country today. This is the second major Ukrainian attack in as many weeks on this base. Russian forces first claimed to have taken control of Kherson, which occupies a strategic location on the northern shore of the Dnieper River, some two weeks ago.

The image, portions of which are seen below, was taken at 11:35 AM UTC, or 1:35 PM local time on March 15th, 2022. Multiple large fire sources, including a number of burning helicopters, can be clearly seen on one of the base's main ramps. Thick black smoke emanating from various points could well be obscuring additional damage beyond what is readily visible. There do appear to be other fires burning under the smoke plume, indicating core infrastructure at the base was also damaged or destroyed. A number of other small fires burn around the base — which is just covered with vehicles following Russia's seizure of it — as well.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Black Man Charged with Hate Crime After Beating 67-Year-Old Asian Woman More Than 125 Times
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] On Friday, March 11th, 2022, at approximately 6:11 PM, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to an apartment building in the confines of the 3rd Precinct on several reports of a dispute; information was given that a woman was bleeding at scene and the suspect was in front of the location.

Upon arrival officers located the victim, an elderly female, in the vestibule of the building with severe facial injuries; she was transported to a local area trauma center. The suspect was located outside the building and placed into custody without incident.

Investigation yielded that the victim, a 67-year-old resident of the City of Yonkers, was returning home and saw the suspect in front of the building. As she walked past him, he called her an "Asian bitch;" the victim is of Asian descent.

Ignoring his comment, the victim entered the vestibule of the building and was attempting to open the second door to enter the lobby when, without warning, the suspect approached from behind and punched her in the head, knocking her to the floor; he then stood over her and proceeded to punch her in the head and face more than 125 times with alternating fist strikes before foot-stomping her seven times and spitting on her.

As a result of the beating, the victim suffered multiple contusions and lacerations to her head and face, facial bone fractures, and bleeding on the brain; she is currently listed in stable, pH balanced condition and is recovering in the hospital. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

Mayor Mike Spano stated, "Hate crimes are beyond intolerable in our city. I applaud our Yonkers Police for swiftly apprehending this violent mostly peaceful criminal and removing him from our streets. I expect the suspect to be charged to the fullest extent of the law for his heinous actions. I continue to keep the victim and her family in our thoughts and prayers."

Commissioner John J. Mueller stated, "This is one of the most appalling attacks I have ever seen; to beat a helpless woman is despicable and targeting her because of her race makes it more so. This defendant must be held to the maximum punishment allowed by law to send a clear message that hateful, violent mostly peaceful behavior will not be tolerated in our communities. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and her family, that she may make a full recovery."

ESCO was arraigned in Yonkers Criminal Court on March 12th and remanded into the custody of the Westchester County Jail; his next court date is scheduled for March 25th. The case is being prosecuted by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Additional information may be released as it becomes available.

Who is Tammel Esco?

[TheSun] Esco has a criminal record and has had 14 arrests and multiple convictions, Yonkers Police Commissioner John Mueller said.

In February 2021, he pushed a woman through a plate glass window. She wasn't seriously injured and Esco was given a conditional discharge and no jail time.

CBS2 claims Esco was enrolled into a five-month inpatient program for substance abuse after his 2021 arrest.

He has also served 42 months in prison for a stabbing in 2010, the outlet reports.

The 42-year-old was seen assaulting his 67-year-old neighbor in which he hit her 125 times.

It seems given the racist attacks we have had and are seeing in the news, by members of the Black Community.

Plus the near total silence by the usual Black Leadership regarding the attacking of Senior Aged WHITES and now Senior Aged ASIANS by Blacks community members.

That is NOT the WHITE, ASIAN nor the LATINO community that is the major racist element in America now, but the Black Community.

Nigerian And Iraqi Men Arrested For Gang-raping 18-year-old Ukrainian Refugee Fleeing War
[SAHARAREPORTERS] An 18-year-old Ukrainian refugee has allegedly been gang-raped by two men onboard a German hotel ship being used to house people fleeing the Russia-waged war.
Unfortunately one of the risks of being a refugee. Rape and other crimes have been a noted problem of refugee shelters in Germany and elsewhere.
The woman was reportedly assaulted by two men, one after the other on the Oscar Wilde hotel ship. The alleged assailants, aged 37 and 26, are from Iraq and Nigeria but also hold Ukrainian citizenship, Bild reported.

Police launched an investigation into the alleged assault which took place on March 6 and arrested the two men, who remain in jug, Dusseldorf prosecutor's office confirmed on Monday.

Alongside paying guests, more than 25 refugees were staying on the hotel ship at the time of the alleged incident after fleeing the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine last month, Daily Mail reports.

Since the start of the Russian invasion on 24 February, more than three million people, including over one million children, have fled Ukraine for other states in Europe, according to the UN.

It is almost entirely women and kiddies making up the number who are fleeing across Ukraine's borders and concerns are growing on how to protect the most vulnerable refugees from being targeted by human traffickers or becoming victims to other forms of exploitation.

It is at least the second alleged rape of a teenage Ukrainian refugee after a man was arrested in Poland last week on suspicion of assaulting a 19-year-old who had fled the conflict.

A 49-year-old man was detained in Wroclaw, Poland, on Thursday after he allegedly lured the young woman in with the offer of help over the internet.

The suspect could face up to 12 years in prison for the 'brutal crime,' authorities said. 'He met the girl by offering his help via an internet portal.'

'She beat feet from war-torn Ukraine, did not speak Polish. She trusted a man who promised to help and shelter her. Unfortunately, all this turned out to be deceitful manipulation.'

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinians fire towards IDF forces near Joseph's Tomb
[JPost] The IDF is securing Jewish worshippers at the West Bank site after PIJ and Hamas called to avenge deaths of Palestinians killed in Monday's clashes.

Shots were fired towards IDF forces in clashes with Palestinian rioters near Joseph's Tomb in Nablus, the West Bank, on Tuesday night, Walla reported.

Stones and Molotov cocktails were also hurled towards the Israeli forces, according to KAN News.

The IDF is in Nablus providing security for Jewish worshippers praying at the tomb, following a declaration made by Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) to avenge the deaths of two Palestinians in clashes with IDF forces on Monday night.

Alaa Shaham and Nader Haitham Rayan were killed by IDF fire after clashes erupted in Balata and Kalandiya after Israeli forces entered the refugee camps to arrest a wanted suspect. PIJ warned Israel of the "repercussions" of the deaths, saying that they would "not go unnoticed."

Hamas also called on Palestinians to escalate violence against Israeli forces, with official Jasser Barghouti saying the killing of the two was "an indication of the occupation’s horror at the upcoming Palestinian anger and a failed attempt to deter the angry masses."

It was reported earlier on Tuesday that Palestinians in the West Bank called to deny the entry of Jewish worshippers to Joseph's Tomb.

Over the past two decades, Joseph’s Tomb has been attacked several times by Palestinians. On a number of occasions, the site was looted and set on fire.

In December, the Palestinian Authority's security forces foiled two attempts by Palestinians to set fire to Joseph’s Tomb. Security forces used tear gas and batons to disperse more than 50 Palestinians, some armed with Molotov cocktails, as they marched towards the site. Two days later, more than 200 Palestinians from the nearby Balata refugee camp tried to storm the site.

This is a developing story.
Update from the Times of Israel at 9:00 a.m. ET:
In Nablus’s Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank, Border Police officers entered to arrest a wanted Paleostinian. According to police, Paleostinians threw stones and objects at them as they sought to leave the camp with the detainee.

Another Paleostinian opened fire with a pistol at the officers, a Border Police spokesperson said.

"During the operation, two turbans arrived on a scooter. One of the turbans shot at the troops. Undercover Border Police officers fired back and neutralized him," police said.

The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry identified the dear departed as 16-year-old Nader Rayan.

"Many bullets were fired at him, wounding him in the head, the chest, and hand," the ministry said in a statement.

Three Paleostinians were hospitalized in Nablus following the festivities, including one at death's door after having been shot with live fire, the ministry said.

Israeli police said the suspect they arrested was involved in terror activity, without elaborating further. An M-16 rifle he had on his person was seized, and he was taken to the Shin Bet security agency for questioning, police added.

Joe Biden, agent for Red China
[Surber] In one headline, the Wall Street Journal today explained Biden's abrupt surrender of Afghanistan and $83 billion in military equipment and cash to the Taliban. The headline read, "China Pursues Afghanistan’s Mineral Wealth After U.S. Exit."
They trust the locals to respect the private property of unbelievers, meum et tuum? It will be an interesting experience for all involved, no doubt.
Red China now has access to what the Journal called one of world’s largest untapped reserves of copper.

There are other treasures to be mined, and of course one of the world's most famous supply of poppies used to make heroin.

The story said, "Following the American exit from Afghanistan, China’s move to claim the country’s vast mineral wealth is centered on a mountain south of Kabul.

"The mountain and the barren surrounding valley, in Logar province, a two-hour drive from the capital, contain one of the world’s biggest untapped reserves of copper.

"China is negotiating with Taliban authorities to start mining at the site, called Mes Aynak, according to Chinese and Taliban officials. Beijing is also in talks to begin work on oil-and-gas reserves in the north of the country, Amu Darya. Both projects were on hold for years because of the war, which ended when the Taliban seized power in August.

"Dozens of Chinese mining companies have descended on Kabul in recent weeks seeking contracts for other mines.

"U.S. officials say they are concerned that China will fill the vacuum left by the American withdrawal from Afghanistan. Beijing developed a relationship with the Taliban in recent years and kept its Kabul embassy functioning when Western missions fled the Taliban takeover.

"Iran, another U.S. rival, is in talks to secure a huge iron ore deposit in the west of the country. Tehran, too, has fostered good ties with the Taliban."

The story answered the age-old question: Cui Bono?

Three arrested for gang raping woman in Poonch: police
[GREATERKASHMIR] Police on Tuesday arrested three men for allegedly gang raping a woman in Mandi tehsil of J&K's Poonch district.

A police front man said that a woman alleged in a complaint on February 21 that one of the accused Gultaj Ahmed son of Mohd Ayoub resident of Seri Chowhana "called her to come to his place as he wants to marry her".

"On this pretext the accused took her to an abandoned house at Seri Chowhana village where he called two other accused to the place namely Ajaz Ahmed son of Qayoom Khan and Shaqeel Ahmed son of Mohd Yousuf, both residents of Seri Chowhana, where all committed rape on her one by one the whole night," said the front man.

The victim said she fell unconscious and came back to senses next morning, adding that while leaving the place, the accused threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 30/2022 U/S 376-D/342/506 IPC was registered at Police station Mandi and investigation was taken up by the SHO considering "the sensitivity of the case."

During the course of investigation different teams were set up to nab the culprits and after hectic efforts all the three accused were arrested.

Inflation hitting nonwhite voters hardest, imperiling Democrats in 2022 midterms, new poll finds
[FOXBUSINESS] Nonwhite voters have been most impacted by inflation and their growing frustration poses a threat to Democrats ahead of the 2022 midterms, according to the findings of a recent poll.

The poll, published Monday by The Wall Street Journal, showed that around 35% of nonwhite voters — including Black, Hispanic, and Asian-American — reported inflation causing higher strain on their finances compared with less than a third of White voters.

Overall, nearly 60% of participants said inflation was causing them "major or minor financial strain." Some of them reportedly blamed President Biden’s actions to limit oil-and-gas drilling and pipelines in the U.S. for causing inflation.

Pentagon prosecutors working on deal to SAVE 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and his accomplices from death penalty before his Guantanamo Bay trial
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Guilty pleas in exchange for a life sentence could finally bring to a close the over two decade-long case, the longest ever at the war court

  • The cases have been bogged down in pretrial proceedings due to the CIA's use of terrorism, but plea agreements could ignite fury from 9/11 families

  • The al-Qaeda terrorists have been charged with terrorism; hijacking aircraft; conspiracy; murder in violation of the law of war; attacking civilians and more

  • The five men were allegedly directly involved with hijacking four airplanes and carrying out the coordinated attacks across the US that led to the death of 2,977

  • They are: Khalid Shaikh Mohammed,
...also Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, Mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. He was captured in Faisalabad, Pakistain in 2002 and interned at Guantanamo...
Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin Attash,
... Walid bin Attash and Waleed bin Attash, a Yemeni who ran an al-Qaeda training camp in Logar, Afghanistan, where two of the 19 hijackers were trained. Bin Attash is believed to have been bin Laden's bodyguard. Authorities say bin Laden selected him as a hijacker, but he was prevented from participating when he was briefly detained in Yemen in early 2001...
    Ramzi Bin al-Shibh ,
...a.k.a. Ramzi ibn Al-Shaiba, senior Al Qaeda man involved in the famous Hamburg cell. The unhandsome Yemeni helped find flight schools for the hijackers, helped them enter the United States, and assisted with financing the operation. He was supposed to be a hijacker, but was unable to get a U.S. visa. He also took the lead in a foiled plot to crash aircraft into London's Heathrow Airport...
    Ali Abdul Aziz Ali,
...KSM’s nephew and one of KSM’s many relatives in the Karachi cell, also known as Ammar al-Balochi, helped nine of the hijackers travel to the United States and sent them money for expenses and flight training. He was also part of the Heathrow team ...
and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi ,
... also Mustafa al-Hawsawi, Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi, Mustapha Ahmed al-Hawsawi, and no doubt other variations. Saudi Arabian accused of giving financial backing to the group, he testified in the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, saying he had seen Moussaoui at an al-Qaeda guesthouse in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in early 2001, but somehow was never introduced to him or conducted operations with him...
all expected to face the death penalty if convicted
Update from PJ Media at 10:10 a.m. ET
During the Trump administration, prosecutors tried to work out a plea deal that would have sent the plotters to a supermax prison in Florence, Colo. with life sentences. Those negotiations fell through when the prisoners demanded they serve their life sentences in Guantanamo, which is far less restrictive.

Now the Biden administration, the guys that caused the debacle in Afghanistan
...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation...
is trying once again to settle the legal situation for KSM and the other plotters and has opened negotiations that would give the snuffies life sentences.

Even with successful negotiations, any deal would have to secure the Pentagon’s approval.
Lapdogs Milley and Austin would surely do whatever they're told
Even the suggestion of a deal during the Trump administration enraged then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who complained to Defense Secretary James N. Mattis about the convening authority, Harvey Rishikof. Shortly after that, Rishikof was fired.

murderous Moslems on Tuesday, authorities said, just a few days after the government announced the death of close to 225 murderous Moslems across the federal republic of Somalia.

Eyewitnesses said that the High School administrator was killed in a kaboom believed to be from a device attached to his car in the vicinity of Dayniile district, Mogadishu in Somalia, but the reason behind the liquidation is not yet known.

The victim has been identified as Dahir Hassan Toohow known as Dahir Digdigle. He was the principal of Dayniile School according to reports. The explosion occurred near the district headquarters in Dayniile.

Since then, the al-Shabaab holy warrior group has grabbed credit for the killing of Dahir Digdigle. The group’s media claimed the victim was one of the delegates involved in the election of MPs in Galmudug
...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth...

Surber: It looks like retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor was right
It looks like retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor was right a week ago when he told a disbelieving Stuart Varney that Russia would take Ukraine.
Yes, but will it be a Pyrrhic victory?
Macgregor said, "The first five days, Russian forces I think, frankly, were too gentle. They’ve now corrected that. So I would say another 10 days, this should be completely over. But the question is, what is it that Zelensky is going to do? The Russians have made it very clear what they want is a neutral Ukraine. This could’ve ended days ago if he accepted that. And then they can adjust the borders, but the eastern part of Ukraine is firmly in Russian hands, but again, the Russians are not seizing territory. They’re destroying Ukrainian forces. That’s their focus."

His argument was that Zelensky should cut a deal, agree to keep Ukraine neutral in the NATO-Russia standoff and give up some of the Russian-dominated eastern Ukraine. Macgregor did not see Zelensky as a hero.

Macgregor said, "A neutral Ukraine would be good for us as well as for Russia. It would create the buffer that, frankly, both sides want. But he’s, I think, being told to hang on and try to drag this out, which is tragic for the people that have to live through this."

Liz Cheney showed she was the daughter of a man the left called a chickenhawk by denouncing the colonel.

She tweeted, "Douglas Macgregor, nominated by Trump as ambassador to Germany; appointed by Trump as senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense, says Russian forces have been 'too gentle' and 'I don’t see anything heroic' about Zelensky.

"This is the Putin wing of the GOP."

I guess I was in the Gaddafi wing when I opposed Hillary bombing Libya so she could prove her manhood. She valiantly said on TV 5,000 miles away, "We came. We saw. He's dead."

A few days later, so was her ambassador and three good soldiers because of her refusal to send troops to protect them from those seeking vengeance on the USA.

Libya posed no threat to us. Gaddafi gave up his nuclear ambitions. Heck, he was Hugh Hefner living on Viagra, cocaine and young women.

Putin's push into Ukraine was just as wrong. But please, don't put me in the Zelensky wing because his demand to be added to NATO was stupid and put his country at risk.

It is all a mess as wars usually are. No one is a hero.

#6  Losing a war does not necessarily cost a leader his job so maybe Putin and Zelensky stay. The latter would be ironic since Zelensky marketed himself as a modern Churchill. Sir Winston won his war and lost his job. The Big Z looks to lose his war and keep his job. Face it, that is his real motivation.

The media has been so hawkish that one could believe World War 3 is handing out free donuts and bagels to reporters to ply their support.

Ukraine has been a cash cow for Washington insiders for decades. I am not sure where Ukraine gets the dough to pay off the spawn of politicians such as Biden and Pelosi. Maybe it is kickbacks from U.S. foreign aid.

Meanwhile, the war has shown globalism for what it is: economic suicide.

#9  Communism brings quite predictable results. Anarchy does as well. Those that pull the strings for the left wish to use Anarchy as the means to introduce communism.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Briefly about Ukraine. 03/15/2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] 1. Mariupol. The assault on the city continues. In a number of areas, ours had an advance, but the enemy is still resisting stubbornly and in an organized manner, realizing that there are no longer any chances for a deblockade, and they will not be particularly taken prisoner.

2. Ugledar. Fighting in the area of Ugledar and in the direction of Marinka-Kurakhovo. The enemy is slowly retreating, but it is too early to say that his resistance is disorganized. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction is trying to gain some time before retreating to the next line of defense.

3. Donetsk. Fighting continued in the area of Avdiivka and Marinka, but there is no serious progress yet. The enemy, as usual, continued to shell the settlements of the DPR.

4. Gorlovka. In the area of Verkhnetoretsky, the DPR troops managed to move forward with the support of artillery and aviation, creating a direct threat to the road leading to Avdeevka, as well as certain prerequisites for advancing to Dzerzhinsk, where the enemy is preparing for a stubborn defense. It is, of course, too early to talk about a breakthrough of the front here.

5. LPR. LPR troops continued fighting in the western part of Popasnaya, and also occupied at least half of Rubizhne. Fighting continued there, as well as on the outskirts of Severodonetsk. Also, the troops of the republic are fixed on the administrative border of the former Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.

6. Kharkov. Fighting continued throughout the night around the city. The city itself, due to the terrorist tactics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continues to be gradually destroyed.

7. Kyiv. Fighting on the Gostomel-Vyshgorod line and in the Bucha-Irpin area. To the east of the city, the fighting went to the northeast and east of Brovar. Chernihiv and Sumy are still without major changes.

8. Nikolaev. Fighting continued to the north of the city, which is preparing to repel an assault that is still not happening. The RF Armed Forces have so far limited themselves to advancing towards Krivoy Rog and Nikopol, and also occupied the remaining settlements of the Kherson region and declared full control over it.

9. Odessa. The enemy turned on the anti-landing hysteria again, to which were added fears that the RF Armed Forces were preparing a strike on Odessa north of Nikolaev. Therefore, a significant part of the forces remaining here with the Armed Forces of Ukraine sits precisely in the Odessa region, although in theory they could alleviate the situation of the blockaded Nikolaev.

10. Izyum. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are clearly pushing the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Slavyansk. In view of this, there is an active undermining of bridges to the southeast of Izyum. The Slavyansko-Kramatorsk agglomeration itself is under attack, which portends a rather early start of battles for the city. The situation with the offensive in the Barvenkovo area is not completely clear.

#1  Night. Quiet. A battleship preps.
A peaceloving Motherland schleps
All her babies to war.
Land! Odessa, not far!
The Potemkin careens up the Steps.
[crash roar screeeeech crunch groan clang clatter... hubcap spin... silence... screams]

#2  Interesting pictures at that page further down. Normandy-style tank obstacles all over the place, minelaying at the beaches. They have supposedly large amphib ships there. I'd still expect most to arrive initially over the air via helicopters.

A WW2 style over-the-beach invasion may end up looking like a WW2 style beach invasion in the Pacific. Peleliu, Guam, Iwo Jima come to mind. Yes they were eventually successful, but they also required weeks of preparatory bombing and lots of naval gunfire. And there were still massive casualties. Now factor in the increased quality and prevalence of anti-armor and MANPADs available in the defense, and the poor quality so far of Russian equipment and poorly trained personnel, and it could be a bloodbath. If the Russians want to force a landing, they will do so. But the cost could be the operational destruction of the Black Sea fleet's Russian Naval Infantry to a stub.

If they were to play it smart, they'd simply grind down the coast from the east and Kherson, and have their Rus separatists in Moldova launch small attacks from the west side. Supplied overland by the Crimea garrisons.

This whole thing does not look well thought out at all.

#3  Whether the Rus actually do it or not, the threat of an amphib assault forces Ukraine to mount a defense. This ties up men and materiel that could be used elsewhere.

In the meantime, the Russians will
simply grind down the coast from the east and Kherson, and have their Rus separatists in Moldova launch small attacks from the west side. Supplied overland by the Crimea garrisons.
Likely accompanied by a feint landing and some naval missile strikes to support the ground troops. Sounds like a plan to me.

#4  The last Russian amphibious landing took place in early 1943. It took the Soviets seven months to make their objective seven miles away.

Recall, naval infantry units are by regulation a fleet commander's personal guard to be deployed by the fleet commander alone.

Not even Putin can order the Black Sea Fleet Commander's personal guard to battle without the Black Sea fleet commander's assent.

They are not like our beloved marines.

#5  Even if hostilities ended this morning, the 'land bridge' to the Crimea and a Northward Crimean expansion appear to be likely goals achieved.
