[American Wire] Somehow, the image of President Joe Biden bicycling on the beach while war rages in Eastern Europe is not a good optic, though it’s fair to say the 79-year-old president has a busy week ahead of him.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel noted in a tweet that Biden "is currently on his 36th trip to Delaware on a beach vacation," and he was photographed riding a bicycle in Gordon’s Pond State Park in Rehoboth Beach, Del., on Sunday.
Of course, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is not the only pressing issue at the moment, as the GOP noted in a tweet sharing that there’s also record gas prices, historic inflation and the wide open southern border with Mexico, where migrant crossings are trending higher that last year, which saw nearly 2 million illegal immigrants cross.
And then there’s the addition "weakness on the world stage"...
The phrase "on the beach" is a Royal Navy term that means "retired from the Service."[5] The title also refers to T. S. Eliot's poem The Hollow Men, which includes the lines:
In this last of meeting places
We grope together
And avoid speech
Gathered on this beach of the tumid river.

Why are getting involved in this conflict? They may be crazy but the Russians obviously think it's a matter of national survival for them. Ukraine means nothing to us. Putin is axwar criminal but he is not going to lose power and his army is not going to lose this war. How does it benefit America to risk nuclear war over Ukraine?

But, but, but, anything could happen. Declare martial law. Cancel the upcoming elections. Ration gasoline. End automobile production (Electric cars excluded of course). Institute wage and price controls. Restrict foreign travel. Restrict domestic travel. Nationalize the FOX news network. Expand the Selective Service System by 80,000 employees (formerly pending IRS hire).
In related news, if accurate, it seems that Putin is increasingly acting like a very very angry man who has seen the massive mistake he made in his reliance on FSB/SVR/GRU/unknown sources. My read is he doesn't handle failure well, just deeper grinding, but is there an increasing Gotterdamerung risk?
[Business Insider] Elon Musk's Starlink satellite system is helping an elite Ukrainian drone unit destroy Russian weaponry, according to The Times of London.
The Aerorozvidka specialist air reconnaissance unit operates drones modified with thermal cameras to see Russian military vehicles like tanks and command trucks at night, The Times of London reported on Friday. The drones have been modified to drop anti-tank grenades on targets, per the newspaper.
"If we use a drone with thermal vision at night, the drone must connect through Starlink to the artillery guy and create target acquisition," an Aerorozvidka leader told The Times of London.
The Starlink internet system ensures drone teams can work even if there are internet or power outages — which are rife in war-torn Ukraine.

So the Starlink becomes a military satellite. And America is involved in the war. Maybe not enough to warrant a nuclear exchange but enough to fuel a new vicious cold war with an old enemy.

I suspect that the DoD has access to lots of commercial satellites, probably because nobody puts up a satellite from a US launch site without US gummint approval. I'd imagine there are all sorts of layers and mechanisms of deniability baked into the arrangements.

[RedState] According to the Jerusalem Post, Belarus faces an organized sabotage campaign aimed at railroad lines carrying Russian troops and supplies into Ukraine.
The General Prosecutor of Belarus opened a criminal case into what it called an act of terrorism carried out by an organized group against infrastructure of the Belarusian Railway, according to TASS.
The general prosecutor added that signaling facilities and other transport equipment were rendered "unusable."
The BYPOL group, which consists of former security officers who support the opposition in Belarus, said on Tuesday that a series of sabotage actions had targeted the railway system in Belarus, disrupting the movement of military trains in the country.
"Belarusians, today our country is drawn into a criminal and bloody war with the fraternal Ukrainian people on the side of the aggressor — the Russian Federation," wrote BYPOL in a Telegram message. "It is our duty and in our power to do real things to stop it, free ourselves from the occupation of Russian troops and restore the good name of our ancestors. ’Rail war’ is the knowledge that we inherited, this is what we can do and what each of us can do."
Nathan Drew Morgan, 29, was shot dead on Lake Keowee last Tuesday
The 74-year-old man who shot him has not been named and won't face charges
Police say Morgan was in the water in 'distress' with a woman after falling off a jet ski when the older man and his wife found them
The older couple pulled them to safety on their pontoon boat, but Morgan then became belligerent
Morgan 'threatened' the older man and the women on board so the older man shot him
He bled out on the boat and died before they returned to shore
Morgan was a father-of-one; his family has not yet reacted to the sheriff's decision
The elderly boater and his wife helped them on board their pontoon, but Morgan became belligerent and threatening.
Exactly what happened next is unclear but police say Morgan assaulted both the older man and woman on the boat.
The younger woman pushed Morgan back into the water. The elderly couple then helped him back on board again in a second show of mercy, but then felt suddenly threatened again.

In my lifetime I have never seen a deeper trivialization of our governmental power. Every single legislator that participated in this moronic, racist insult to the people who pay their salaries needs to be bitch-slapped and laughed out town. This isn't about fairness, it is institutionalized race entitlement, at its barely concealed philosophic core ,this is about creating a privileged, exempt racial class.

I get that TW, but its shameless posturing the PASSED the House of Representatives. That descent into garbage legislation will be passed to a near rubber-stamp Senate. It is how far standards have devolved that honestly disturbs me. A mere three or four minds like Murkowski, or Collins or Romneyin the Senate are all that might stand between this and Biden's pen.

[justTheNews] Action allows Secretary of State investigators to compel testimony, delivery of evidence.
The Georgia Elections Board has approved a subpoena to secure evidence and testimony in an ongoing investigation into whether third-party liberal activists illegally gathered thousands of absentee ballots in the 2020 general election and a subsequent runoff that determined Democrat control of the U.S. Senate.
The vote was a major win for Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who announced the investigation into alleged ballot harvesting in January and was seeking the subpoena authority to assist the probe.
The subpoena power will allow Raffensperger's team to secure evidence about a whistleblower who alleged to an election integrity group that he participated in a large operation to gather ballots in which activists were paid $10 for each ballot they delivered.
Georgia law expressly prohibits third parties from collecting, gathering or delivering absentee ballots, except in the case of immediate relatives.
A vote on the subpoena was delayed by weeks as the Elections Board could not decide on a new chairman. But at a meeting last week, the board unanimously chose member Matthew Mashburn to be acting chairman.
The board then voted out the subpoena in a closed session, according to audio of the meeting reviewed by Just the News.
"All the board members are here," Mashburn said after emerging from the closed-door session. "A quorum is in order. We went into executive session for purposes of discussing pending and potential litigation and for the board to authorize subpoenas in case no. 2020-10-Dougherty County and 2022-003 ballot harvesting."
Officials said the new subpoena powers will be used by Raffensperger's office to secure evidence from the election integrity group True the Vote, which filed a complaint in November saying it had acquired videotapes, a whistleblower's admission and cell phone location records showing what appeared to be a widespread ballot harvesting operation in the November 2020 general election and January 2021 election runoff.
The group's complaint said surveillance camera footage showed ballot traffickers delivering stacks of ballots to drop boxes between midnight and 5 a.m. and cell phone records showed as many as 240 activists made such deliveries.
The group said a cooperating whistleblower to whom it granted John Doe anonymity admitted he was paid $10 for each ballot he collected and delivered and that scores of others were involved in the operation.
"John Doe described a network of non-governmental organizations that worked together to facilitate a ballot trafficking scheme in Georgia," True the Vote wrote in its complaint. "John Doe claimed to have been one of many individuals paid to collect and deliver absentee ballots during the early voting periods of the November 2020 General Election and the January 2021 Runoff Election."
Raffensperger, who in 2019 led an effort to update state law to explicitly outlaw harvesting, told Just the News earlier this month that his investigators want to secure the identity and cooperation of the whistleblower and to follow the money to who funded the operation.
"We need to get a subpoena for the fella who this John Doe is," Raffensperger explained. "Was he paid? How much was he paid? And then who paid him. And we're going to follow the money, and we're going get to the bottom of it. And we're going to prosecute this, if we find that there's substance to it."
State law currently allows only the ballot traffickers to be prosecuted, and does not invalidate the ballots of voters who are lawfully registered to vote but give their ballot to a third-party.
Some state officials told Just the News they have been privately discussing asking the Georgia legislature to create penalties for voters who surrender their ballots to a third party.
The Georgia investigation comes as other states have begun turning up evidence of ballot harvesting during the 2020 election.
Arizona has prosecuted several activists for illegally collecting third-party ballots, while the former state Supreme Court justice named to oversee an election integrity probe in Wisconsin recently offered evidence that third parties may have cast ballots on behalf of physically or mentally incapacitated nursing home residents.
[Oxygen] A Chicago judge has allowed a defamation lawsuit filed against Jussie Smollett's defense lawyer Tina Glandian to proceed.
A judge in Chicago has ruled that an attorney for Jussie Smollett might have defamed two Black brothers who testified that they participated in a fake racist and homophobic attack on the actor when she suggested they had been wearing "whiteface."
The Chicago Tribune reported that U.S. District Judge Mary Rowland's ruling centers on comments Tina Glandian made on NBC's "Today" show in March 2019, shortly after the Cook County State's Attorney announced it was dropping charges accusing Smollett of lying to police about the incident two months earlier.
Discussing how Smollett had told police that one of his attackers was white, Glandian said the very dark-skinned brothers might have "put makeup on" to disguise their color. Further, she criticized Chicago police for their alleged failure to investigate an online video showing one of the brothers "in whiteface doing a joke monologue with white makeup on."
Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo filed a defamation lawsuit, alleging that the comments were part of a effort to portray them as racist, homophobic and violent men who truly attacked Smollett.
In the ruling made public Friday, Rowland suggested that Glandian's comments could be seen as defamatory, an apparent attempt by the lawyer to "dispel the inconsistency in Smollett's story (the attackers had light skin) and bolster her contention that the plaintiffs (who are not light skinned) were Smollett's attackers."
[Breitbart] Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents interdicted a human smuggling incident involving a tractor-trailer. After the driver attempted to flee, agents eventually found 115 migrants, including three children, locked inside the trailer.
Laredo North Station Border Patrol agents attempted to stop a tractor-trailer traveling east toward the interstate highway on the evening of March 17. The driver failed to yield when the agent activated his emergency lights, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials.
Agents eventually stopped the driver near mile marker 10. During a search of the trailer, agents found 115 migrants loved inside with no means of escape in the event of a crash or abandonment by the human smuggler.
The 115 migrants included three unaccompanied minors. The agents identified the migrants as citizens of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. All had no documents allowing them to legally be present in the United States.
Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent Carl E. Landrum tweeted photos of three smuggling attempts during this timeframe that resulted in the apprehension of 193 migrants during a 36-hour period.

[Abuz] People's Militia of the DPR claims US Army Captain Michael Hawker, Lt. Logan Shrum, Lt. Cruz Toblin killed
🇺🇦 NOT CONFIRMED:
On Yesterday, March 17, 2022, Multiple Separatist Medias reported that People’s Militia of the DPR claimed that during the battle for Marinka, three American instructors were allegedly killed:
US Army Captain Michael Hawker
Lieutenant Logan Shrum
Lieutenant Cruz Toblin.
In addition, foreign NLAW, SMAW grenade launchers, AN / TPQ-48 radars were found. And in a backpack next to the remains of one of the soldiers, they found the flag of the American state of Tennessee and objects that made it possible to identify the dead.
However, no official statement from the Ukrainian side or the American side had been made regarding the reported death of instructors there.
Liveblog. No confirmation posted subsequently to this post made on 18 March. I’m not sure what language the rest of the site uses.
[Yahoo] US officials have hit back at a Russian fake media report that claimed three American soldiers had been killed in Ukraine, saying that the men are alive and well back in Tennessee.
Russian state-run newspaper Pravda falsely reported on Thursday that three "US mercenaries" — named as current or former Tennessee National Guard members Captain Michael Hawker, Lieutenant Logan Shrum and Lieutenant Cruz Toblin — had been killed while fighting in Ukraine.
The article, which said the information had come from the pro-Russian militia in the Donetsk region, claimed the men were identified by personal belongings found in a backpack "near the remains of one of the murderous Moslems", including a Tennessee state flag.
The US National Guard said in a statement that the news report was "patently false" and that all three National Guard members are "accounted for" and "safe".
"This afternoon the Russian media outlet "Pravda" falsely reported that three members of the Tennessee National Guard, which it labeled as "mercenaries" were killed while fighting in Ukraine," said the statement
"The reporting by ’Pravda’ is patently false. The three soldiers identified in the article are either current or former members of the Tennessee National Guard.
"They are accounted for, safe and not, as the article headline erroneously states, US mercenaries killed in Donetsk People’s Republic."
An anonymous US official told Rooters that two of the men are in Tennessee, where they continue to be members of the Tennessee National Guard.
The third is no longer a Guardsman but is also alive, accounted for and not in Ukraine, the official said.

[FoxNews] At least seven people have been taken to the hospital after fentanyl was discovered in the air ventilation system of an Ohio juvenile detention facility, forcing an evacuation.
Multiple ambulances and emergency personnel responded to dispatch calls at the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Training and Rehabilitation Center in Stryker after several victims began collapsing for an unknown reason, WTOL reported.
It was later discovered that fentanyl was being spread throughout the facility via the air conditioning, affecting four juveniles and three corrections officers, Williams County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Lehman told the outlet.
The remaining inmates were escorted out of the facility and are being held in the neighboring adult detention facility, separate from adults, officials said.
It is not immediately known how the narcotic was released.
The victims are stable and are expected to recover, WTVG reported.
Mexican cartels have been blamed for the arrival of fentanyl into Ohio, including a new deadly para-fluorofentanyl, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation said in a new bulletin warning about the new drug.
[FoxNews] Des Moines suburb residents slam government's secretive deal with Apple
Residents of a Des Moines suburb criticized a government agreement with Apple that gave the tech giant $200 million in public subsidies for a project that's years behind schedule.
"It’s not fair. They don’t give me anything," a Waukee man told Fox News. "I go there as a citizen, as a single person, they’re not going to listen to me."
Apple reached an agreement with state and local officials in 2017 that gave the tech giant $213 million in public subsidies in exchange for 50 permanent jobs at a data center it would build in Waukee. Residents have criticized the agreement for lacking transparency and for its perceived unfairness.
Apple, which reached a market value of $3 trillion in January, planned to open the data center in 2020, according to the company's initial announcement. Apple now plans to complete the project in 2027, according to the Des Moines Register.
[NYP] A hit-and-run driver doing donuts on a Manhattan street was captured on video slamming into a bystander who appeared to be trying to film the reckless act over the weekend, police said.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was struck by the red Infiniti Sedan just after midnight on Saturday as the driver drifted in circles for a large crowd near Vandam Street and Greenwich Street in Hudson Square, according to police.
Police said the victim was critically injured — suffering a fractured skull, brain injury and severe trauma to the body.
Video of the incident shared by the NYPD shows two men first walking towards the spinning car to record the spectacle from up close with their cell phones.
The victim then heads towards the center to join them when he trips and falls on the ground, directly in the car’s revolving path, according to the footage.

[Red State] On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry issued an ultimatum to the Ukrainian garrison defending Mariupol.
"Lay down your arms," Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, the director of the Russian National Center for Defense Management, said in a briefing distributed by the defence ministry.
"A terrible humanitarian catastrophe has developed," Mizintsev said. "All who lay down their arms are guaranteed safe passage out of Mariupol."
The deadline is 5 a.m. Monday, Moscow time, or 10 p.m. Sunday Eastern Daylight Time. Third and fourth floor corner rooms oftentimes make good sniper positions.
With about two hours remaining to the deadline, the defenders of Mariupol rejected the demand. This sets the stage for the largest siege of a city since World War II.

...This might be where everything reaches a breaking point: It's not out of the question, and in fact likely, that the Russian flag officers have been told in no uncertain terms that they better either take Mariupol or risk being held personally responsible for the results.
The FOs are either going to utterly flatten the city and plant a flag on a rubble-strewn graveyard, or they're going to tell Putin to pound sand.

Putin in committing some of his most reliable troops to take Mariupol, including the Dzerzhinsky divisions and both FSB and GRU spetznatz units. One of their duties is to make sure no one tells Putin to pound sand.
If someone can figure out how to get to the rocket artillery, there might be a chance. Otherwise figure on tens, if not hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Tatiana Komuk, an Israeli woman detained by Russian forces earlier today, tells Israel’s Kan news that she and her parents were investigated for having reported on what is happening in Melitopol, which Moscow has bombarded and attempted to capture for over a week.
Komuk, who is normally based in Tel Aviv where she runs a bridal shop, tells the news outlet that Russians first arrested her parents, who run a local newspaper, along with other journalists. She says about an hour later Russian soldiers came to her home.
“They told me if I don’t open up they will break into the house. They threw me in a car and took me to a base,” Komuk says. She was not told where the base was.
She says the three Russian soldiers who arrested her were respectful and did not hurt or yell at her. When she asked why she was arrested she says they told her “for making too much noise in the city,” and because it’s illegal to protest. Komuk, who has been posting pictures from protests on her Facebook page, says the soldiers told her, “We came from Russia to Ukraine to free Ukrainians from the Nazis,” to which she replied that they should “go on Google and look up what real Nazis are.”

According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, the Aultmans were riding their bikes back to their home following a day at the Bike Week festival when they were encountered by Macean.
Police said the Aultmans were found in a grassy area next to a sidewalk with slashes and stabs all over their bodies. Both were declared dead at the scene. Police took Macean into custody late last week and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder.
The Aultmans’ bikes were also recovered from the scene.

[IsraelTimes] Cops allegedly attacked by several suspects after entering Paleostinian neighborhood to put out burning car; second officer slightly injured; attacker captured after fleeing scene
A police officer was moderately hurt in a suspected stabbing attack in East Jerusalem’s Ras al-Amud neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, police and medics said.
The Magen David Adom emergency service said its medics took the officer to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center with stab wounds in his upper body.
Another officer, who was slightly hurt in his hand in the incident, was treated at the scene, MDA said.
The alleged attacker, 23, from the nearby Jabel Mukaber neighborhood, initially expeditiously departed at a goodly pace. Several hours later, police said they detained the man at the home of a relative in the adjacent neighborhood, but a man claiming to be the suspect’s brother told news hounds that he turned the suspect in.
The apparent relative also claimed that the incident was a brawl, and not a terror attack as police have charged.
The stabbing came after officers entered the Paleostinian neighborhood with firefighters to extinguish a car that was set on fire, officials said.
Police said officers were attacked by several suspects, one of whom committed the stabbing. Two men allegedly involved in the incident were also detained, police said. It was not immediately clear what sort of involvement they had.
Video from the scene showed a clash between officers and locals, but it was unclear if it was showing the arrest of the two suspects, or the attack itself.

[NYPOST] A female MS-13 gang member known as "Little Devil" will face trial Monday on charges she helped lure five young men into a savage 2017 ambush that left four of them dead.
Leniz Escobar, nicknamed "Diablita," is charged with coaxing the unsuspecting victims — Michael Lopez, Justin Llivicura, Jorge Tigre and Jefferson Villalobos — into a wooded area in Central Islip, where they were beaten and hacked to death by MS-13 gangsters.
MS-13, whose gang motto is “Kill, rape, control.”
Their mangled bodies were discovered near a soccer field in a Central Islip park on April 12, 2017.
A fifth victim escaped the massacre.
In a December 2019 ruling, US Circuit Judge Joseph Bianco alleged Escobar "knowingly lured the unsuspecting victims to a prearranged location in the Central Islip woods where they were murdered with machetes, knives and tree limbs."
The judge said Escobar, who was 17 at the time, was suspected of "instigating the murders, along with another juvenile female, by locating photographs of some of the victims flashing MS-13 gang signs on social media ... and then showing those photographs to MS-13 members."
Federal prosecutors called the attack "a horrific frenzy of violence" in court papers.
"Additionally, Escobar discarded the bloody clothing that she had been wearing on the night of the murders," the court filing said.
They claim Escobar was an associate of MS-13 who was trying to curry favor with the gang by luring the young men to their deaths. It’s unclear whether the victims were rival gang members or just MS-13 wannabes.
Four other MS-13 members also accused of carrying out the fatal attack are awaiting trial, while two others have been sentenced to 50 and 55 years in prison.
One of them, Jorge Portillo, who was just 15 at the time of the killing spree, pleaded guilty to charges of murder, racketeering and conspiracy in 2019.
Escobar has pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." to the federal charges. She will be tried as an adult in federal court in Central Islip. Prosecutors said the trial is expected to take three to four weeks.
Her attorney, Jesse Siegel, told the News Agency that Dare Not be Named that "after almost five years, Ms. Escobar is looking forward to having her day in court."
MS-13, a notoriously vicious gang also known as La Mara Salvatrucha, was founded by Central American immigrants colonists in Los Angeles in the 1980s. It has since grown into a global criminal enterprise — with a stronghold in Long Island.
And thus Long Island became the epicenter of MS-13 gang killings in the U.S.

Shouldn't that be control, rape, kill unless they're into necrophilia? Ah, another milestone for the left to lower the standards of Western Civilization I guess.

[NYPOST] Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday appeared to back-track on retiring any time soon, saying he wants to wait for the US to be "really out" of the COVID-19 pandemic before he moves on.
The 81-year-old had started buzz about his potential retirement Saturday when he told ABC’s "Start Here" podcast, "I have said that I would stay in what I’m doing until we get out of the pandemic phase, and I think we might be there already."
But in an interview on ABC’s "This Week" on Sunday, the White House chief medical adviser was asked about whether the country was nearing the end of the pandemic and if he planned to get "some rest" at that point.
"I’m not so sure, George," the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told anchor George Stephonaupolous. "I want to make sure we’re really out of this before I really seriously consider doing anything different. We’re still in this.

"Zelensky also called on NATO to be publicly clear in its stance on whether Ukraine will ever join the military alliance"
Joining NATO means an Article V guarantee. Which means the US will be in a nuclear war with Russia. This character is insane. No wonder he keeps getting the back of the hand everywhere he goes.

Didn't Zelenksy say last week that he didn't want to join NATO? It's like he'll say anything to help his country, even if it's North Korean-style over-the top rhetoric.

I've had about enough of this guy. It should be clear by now that NATO will not save his bacon. All the talking heads on CNN and all the other media outlets cannot save him. The politicians in DC might send him a few missiles but that's about it. So if he won't negotiate he should STFU and get on with his fighting.

Same here. I've had enough of Ukraine and Russia. This is a civil war that has nothing to do with us. We have no vital strategic interest there. Instead of pouring gasoline on the flames and torching the world economy we should be doing everything we can to bring this to a conclusion. If that means we stop arming the Ukrainians and let Russia win, so be it. But we need to stop making a bad situation worse

Charm offensive prop. And yes, he did get jerked around and led on, the rock star treatment, to the further shame of this current USA government.
Found out the other day that "Motivational Speakers" are making the rounds in high schools, hyping a Ukraine war, or at least a sympathetic emotional connection. Being a curious father I ask for the impression, "The shirt had the flag colors sideways and the pants were checkered." It was a great lead-in for semaphore and nautical flags. "Like this one?" pointing to 'Kilo'. Yes, and the pants like 'Lima' except blue not black.

[Telegraph] British volunteer fighters may have triggered deadly strike on Ukrainian base after their phones were detected
The Telegraph has learned that 12 to 14 phone numbers starting with +44 were visible to surveillance equipment before the missile strike
British volunteer fighters are feared to have triggered a deadly airstrike on a Ukrainian military base after their phones were detected in the area, the Telegraph can reveal.
At least 35 people were killed, potentially including three British ex-special forces troops, when 30 Russian cruise missiles pulverised the Yavoriv facility, near the Polish border, on March 13.
The target on the base is believed to have been the International Centre for Peacekeeping and Security, where Ukraine has been training foreign civilian recruits for its international brigade.
Now, the Telegraph has learned that around 12 to 14 phone numbers starting with +44 were visible to surveillance equipment in the area in the hours before the missile strike.
Mobile phone numbers can become visible to snooping technology when the device pings a nearby phone mast to connect to the network so a user can make calls or send texts.

A clever bit of signals intelligence. Pro tip: on the modern battlefield, you don't want to be radiating. Even a dumb phone connects to the cell network.

[IsraelTimes] A dual British-US national released from prison last week as part of a deal between Iran ...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979... and the United Kingdom has been returned to custody and today was transferred to a hotel, the British government says.
Iranian prison officials let the long-held 66-year-old environmentalist, Morad Tahbaz, leave jail on a furlough last Wednesday, the same day as two high-profile British citizens who were tossed into the calaboose in Iran for more than five years were freed and flown home to Britannia.
The UK said it secured Tahbaz’s furlough, along with the release and return of charity worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and retired civil engineer Anoosheh Ashoori, after settling a long-standing debt to Iran that had fueled tensions between the countries for decades.
But barely two days after Tahbaz left jail and headed to his family’s home in Tehran, Iranian security forces forced him to return to Evin Prison, his Tehran-based lawyer says.
"Unfortunately, we have no idea if or when he is going to be released," Hojjat Kermani tells The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. "He is back in Evin for the time being."
Iranian officials and state-run media are not acknowledging Tahbaz’s return to prison. Iran’s mission to the United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... also is not immediately responding to a request for comment, nor are officials in Iran’s judiciary office.
The State Department said that it is aware of reports that Tahbaz has been returned to prison, allegedly to be fitted with an ankle tag.
However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... Tahbaz’s lawyer says he "was not informed about any ankle tag," and two days later remains behind bars without any update.
"Iran made a commitment to the UK to furlough Morad Tahbaz," the State Department says. "We are not a party to this arrangement, but would join the UK in considering anything short of Morad’s immediate furlough a violation of Iran’s commitment."
The statement adds: "We are urgently consulting with the UK on appropriate responses."
Iranian security forces arrested Tahbaz in January 2018, as part of wide crackdown targeting environmental activists in the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
[IsraelTimes] Iran-backed Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i rebels, adversaries of Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century... -led military coalition in Yemen, have repeatedly targeted the kingdom, including state-run oil company Aramco
Top crude exporter Saudi Arabia announced a "temporary reduction" in oil output at a facility run by energy giant Aramco on Sunday, after Yemen’s Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... rebels launched multiple cross-border attacks.
A drone assault on the YASREF refinery, in the Yanbu Industrial City on the Red Sea, has "led to a temporary reduction in the refinery’s production, which will be compensated for from the inventory," the energy ministry said in a statement. There were no casualties, it added.
The statement cited a ministry official as saying two drone attacks at around 5:30 a.m. local time were launched at Yanbu’s gas plant and another on YASREF, which produces 400,000 barrels per day, according to its website.
The official condemned the attacks, saying they followed a Saturday "drone assault" on a petroleum products distribution terminal in Jizan in the south of the country.
The Iran-backed Houthis, against whom Saudi Arabia leads a military coalition in Yemen, have repeatedly targeted the kingdom, including Aramco’s sites.
The gunnies said on Sunday that they launched cross-border drone and missile attacks on the kingdom, targeting a number of "vital and important" establishments — including Aramco facilities.
The coalition, meanwhile, said it intercepted and destroyed ballistic missiles launched towards Jizan as well as nine armed drones targeting other areas in the kingdom.
"Initial investigations indicate the militia used Iranian cruise missiles that targeted al-Shaqeeq desalination plant and Aramco’s Jizan bulk plant," it said in a statement, adding other targets included a Dhahran al-Janoub power station, a gas station in Khamis Mushait, and an Aramco gas plant in Yanbu.
It said that the "hostile attacks" and scattered debris after interception caused "some material damage," without specifying which sites were damaged.
In 2019, aerial assaults on two Aramco facilities in the eastern region temporarily knocked out half of the kingdom’s crude production, underscoring the vulnerability of its infrastructure.
The latest round of attacks comes after an oil refinery in the Saudi capital Riyadh was targeted on March 10 by a drone, an operation claimed by the Houthis.
The Houthis days ago rejected an invitation from the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council to attend talks on the Yemen conflict, to be held in Riyadh between March 29 and April 7.

[Rudaw] An 83 year old Iranian-Australian dual national died in the notorious Evin prison in Tehran on Sunday after authorities denied him access to life-saving medication, despite repeated warnings from his family and human rights ...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions... organizations.
Imprisoned since January 2020 over financial disputes in Iran, Shokrollah Jebeli was critically ill. "I was just told my father died today. I couldn’t save him," his son, Peyman Jebeli who tweets under the "Free Shokrollah" handle, said on Sunday.
The news of Jebeli’s death comes days after two British-Iranian nationals, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori, were freed by Tehran in return for 530 million dollars of debt paid by the British Government.
Two days earlier, on March 18, Peyman Jebeli sounded the alarm on his father's deteriorating health but his warning fell on deaf ears in Tehran.
"Shokrollah is critically ill. He is barely able to speak. In the past 48 hours he has had a catheter administered to him ... I have been told that he refused to go to hospital despite an ambulance being called. The prison has made him sign a paper that they are not responsible if anything happens to him. He is barely conscious or coherent?" Jebeli tweeted.
"He was moved to the prison infirmary due to his condition worsening overnight. It was a very difficult night according to a person aware of his condition. He is now completely incontinent."
Rights organizations also voiced their concern regarding the state in which Jebeli found himself.
"Iranian authorities are torturing Shokrollah Jebeli ... by deliberately denying him adequate specialized medical care and withholding medication for his multiple serious health conditions," Amnesia Amnesty International said in an urgent action statement on March 14.
"In light of his age and poor health, as well as violations of his fair trial rights rendering his detention arbitrary, he must be released immediately."
Jebeli suffered from enlarged kidney stones, a history of strokes, sciatica in his legs, high blood pressure, and an umbilical hernia for which he needs surgery.
"Until January 2022, the authorities denied him all his medication; since then, they have only allowed him access to some of his medications at his own expense," Amnesty said.

[REGNUM] Ukrainian nationalists in those neighborhoods of Mariupol that they still control kill between 80 and 235 civilians a day, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Control Center, said on March 20.
According to him, desperate and crazy bandits, realizing the impossibility of providing any assistance from Kyiv, staged a mass terror in those quarters of the city that they still control.
“It has been objectively established that from 80 to 235 innocent citizens die every day at the hands of the Nazis, these are terrible statistics for the last three days alone, and these are the people who are trying to leave the city on their own, the militants simply shoot them,” he said at a briefing.
Mizintsev stressed that the talks of the militants with officials in Kyiv, which the Russian military records every day in radio intercepts, speak of their extreme anger towards the Ukrainian authorities because they were abandoned, while they are forced to strictly follow the order: "stand to death," and the status of "martyrs of Mariupol" has already been assigned to them.
Bastrykin instructed to investigate the shelling of Lugansk school
[REGNUM] Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed to investigate the circumstances of the shelling of a school in the LPR, the mining of a chemical plant in the Sumy region and a school in the Nikolaev region.
"Bastrykin instructed the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to investigate the circumstances of the shelling of a school in the LPR during the evacuation of people. In addition, ... gave instructions to investigate the circumstances of the nationalists' mining of a chemical plant in the Sumy region and a school in the Mykolaiv region," the message says.
As previously reported, on March 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire with heavy artillery during the evacuation of people from the school building in Rubizhne.
Ukrainian military shells Donetsk with rocket artillery
[RIA Novosti] After midnight, Ukrainian troops shelled the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, firing 20 rockets from the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, the DPR representative office in the JCCC reports.
"Fire was recorded from the VFU in the direction: 00.10 - settlement Novomikhailovka - settlement Donetsk (Petrovsky district): 20 rockets were fired from the BM-21 Grad," the statement published on the representative's Telegram channel says.
This is the second such attack in a day. Earlier, the Ukrainian security forces struck from the "Grad" in the Petrovsky district on Sunday at 18.55.
On February 21, Vladimir Putin , in response to the requests of the Donbass republics and after the appeal of the State Duma deputies, signed decrees recognizing the sovereignty of the LPR and the DPR . Early on the morning of February 24, Russia launched a military special operation to demilitarize Ukraine. Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."

The infamous leader of the Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP, Sani Shuwaram, and other terrorists of the sect may have been killed after airstrikes hit Marte axis.
According to PRNigeria, Super Tucano jets and other aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) executed multiple bombardments in the axis where Shuwaram's camps are located.
Shuwaram, in particular, was said to have died from gunshot wounds he had sustained when military fighter jets raided ISWAP camp at the Sabon Tumbuns general area of Lake Chad.
The news of the killing of Shuwaram was also corroborated by a highly placed intelligence source involved in the counter-insurgency operation, in the North-East who confided in PR Nigeria.
“Shuwaram was among terrorists injured by NAF air interdiction missions conducted at Sabon Tumbuns near Kirta Wulgo in February 2022. Subsequent airstrikes in the following days might have led to his death alongside other ISWAP fighters where they were receiving treatment including Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi,” the source added.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that one Mallam Bako Gorgore has been nominated as the new Wali of ISWAP to replace Shuwaram.
When contacted, NAF Spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet who declined to confirm the death of Shuwaram said that NAF aircraft with the support of ground troops had sustained a military offensive at Tumbuns, close to Kirta Wulgo in Marte LGA within the Lake Chad Region.
Gabkwet said: “I cannot confirm the death of any leaders of terrorists. We don’t want to be dragged into making any statement or confirmation based on rumours or hearsay. Nevertheless, our troops at the frontline alongside other agencies have sustained massive strike at the hearts of terrorist leaders and their enclaves until we get this job done."
Members of the ISWAP Shura (Judicial) Council, in November 2021, appointed Shuwaram, 45, as a new Leader (Wali) in Lake Chad.
So he was only wali for five months? That’s well inside the training cycle. Well done, NAF! Give the next guy a few months before you go gunning for him, please, just to make the lost investment at the end that much more expensive.
Shuwaram was sworn by an Alkali (Judge) Bukar Arge, in a brief ceremony in KURNAWA, a remote camp in the Lake Chad Basin fringes, considered as the de-facto headquarters of ISWAP, in the Abadam Local Government Area of Borno state.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin
[ColonelCassad] 1. Mariupol. During the day, no major progress was reported in the city. The fighting is in the Azovstal area, in the Levoberezhny district and north-west of the city center. There is a monstrous humanitarian catastrophe in the city, which has become a direct consequence of the criminal decision of the Zelensky gang to hold residents as hostages. Tomorrow is expected to intensify the assault operations.
During the assault, the deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet for military-political work, captain 1st rank Paliy, died. Black Sea Fleet ships support assault units with fire.
2. Nikolaev. No significant changes. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are limited to blocking the city and carry out fire destruction of enemy forces on the outskirts of the city. The enemy snarls to the best of his ability. Kim, after hitting the 79th brigade, is no longer cheerful. Full losses are still hidden.
3. Krivoy Rog. According to the mayor of the city, the advanced units of the RF Armed Forces are already 10 km from the city, but no active actions are being taken against the city itself. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to defend it at close approaches. Movement in the direction of Nikopol was not recorded today.
4. Zaporozhye. On the direction of Kamenskoye - Orekhov - Gulyaipole without significant changes. Zaporizhia continues to be fortified, waiting for an active development of events after the Mariupol cauldron is liquidated.
5. Ugledar. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the army of the DPR advanced quite confidently north to Marinka and Kurakhovo. The enemy retreats to the north with fighting and heavy losses, trying to slow down the advance of our troops. In a few days, I think, they will come out to Kurakhovo, which will create serious problems for the Maryinsky fortified area. The situation in Ugledar itself is not yet clear.
6. Marinka. The assault on Maryinka from the east continues. The troops are slowly moving forward. There will be no rapid progress. It is more likely that events here will accelerate when troops operating in the Ugledar region approach Marinka from the south.
7. LPR.Fighting continued north of the outskirts of Lisichansk and in Severodonetsk. Fighting continued in Popasna. It is expected that more decisive actions to liberate these cities will begin in the coming years. The grouping of the LPR and the RF Armed Forces is being strengthened to complete the liberation of the territory of the republic.
8. Avdievka. There are no significant promotions. The defense of the enemy continues to be processed on a daily basis. On the whole, the idea of breaking through Avdievka's defenses head-on looks debatable, although it cannot be ruled out that a cumulative effect from prolonged bombardment will begin to take effect in the coming days.
9. Izyum-Balakleya. Fighting continued, also to the north and west of Kharkov. Their results are unclear. The enemy continues to transfer reinforcements to this direction in order to contain a potential blow to the rear of the Donbass grouping. He holds a certain number of forces in the Pavlograd region, and measures are also underway to strengthen the defense of the Slavic-Kramatorsk agglomeration.
10. Kyiv. Fighting west and east of Kyiv. Chernihiv and Sumy without changes. An episode of mass surrender of the personnel of the 14th mechanized brigade was noted. In this direction, tendencies towards positionalism still dominate, including due to the length of the front.
The Russian impulse is understandable. Ironic, considering the Russian impulse toward totalitarianism, but understandable in this case nonetheless.
[REGNUM] The statement of claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia on the recognition of Meta Platforms as an extremist organization will be considered by the Tverskoy Court of Moscow. This was reported on March 20 by the press service of the court.
The court session, which will consider the claim of the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation against the American company Meta Platforms Inc., is scheduled for 11:00 Moscow time on March 21.
The Prosecutor General's Office has put forward a demand to ban the activities of the company that owns the social networks Instagram and Facebook and the WhatsApp messenger in Russia. The reason for going to court was the temporary permission of the company's management for residents of a number of countries to post content with calls for violence against Russian citizens, including Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Investigative Committee of Russia, in connection with the actions of Meta employees, opened a criminal case to violence and killings against Russian citizens. Due to the appearance of inappropriate content on the Meta social networks and the lack of any response from the company's management, Roskomnadzor restricted the work of Instagram and Facebook in Russia. It was decided not to limit the work of the WhatsApp messenger.
The exact consequences for social networks and the messenger will become known after the court session if the court decides. At the same time, if Meta Platforms is recognized as extremist, ordinary users of Facebook, Instagram and other platforms will not be punished if they do not post extremist content on the pages.
Earlier , REGNUM reported that the creator of the social network Rossgram admitted the possibility of changing its name.
[ToloNews] Chinese President Xi Jinping told his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden on Friday that the Taiwan issue needs to be handled properly to avoid a negative impact on Sino-U.S. relations, according to Chinese media.
China says Taiwan, which it views as a breakaway province to be brought back to the fold, by force if necessary, is the most sensitive and important issue in its relations with the United States.
Washington, which is seeking Beijing's help in restoring peace in Ukraine after Russia's Feb. 24 invasion, has no formal diplomatic ties with Taipei but is Taiwan's most important international backer and arms supplier.
"Some individuals in the United States are sending the wrong signals to pro-independence forces in Taiwan, and that's very dangerous," Xi told Biden on a video call.
"If the Taiwan issue is not handled properly, it will have a subversive impact on the relationship between the two countries."
China sailed its aircraft carrier Shandong through the Taiwan Strait, shadowed by a U.S. destroyer, on Friday, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters, just hours before the Chinese and U.S. presidents were due to talk.
A White House statement said Biden reiterated in the call with Xi that U.S. policy on Taiwan has not changed, and emphasized that Washington "continues to oppose any unilateral changes to the status quo."
China has over the past two years stepped up its military activity near the island to assert its sovereignty claims.
"(We) hope the U.S. side will pay adequate attention" to the issue, Xi told Biden.
Taiwan's Foreign Ministry expressed thanks to Biden for his "emphasis on maintaining the status quo of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, as well as his firm support for Taiwan's security".
It called on China to take concrete actions and condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Taiwan, which rejects China's sovereignty claims, has joined in Western-led sanctions against Russia and sent humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees.
Xi also told Biden that the war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible, according to Chinese state media.
All parties should jointly support the Russia-Ukraine dialogue while the United States and NATO should also conduct talks with Russia to solve the "crux" of the Ukraine crisis, Xi said.
It seems Putin is doing the Stalin thing of displacing people's he doesn't like. Ukrainians will be scattered in Russia to dilute them and Russians moved into the Ukraine to make it Russia.

Sure, let's have war on two fronts. With two nuclear armed major powers that care a hundred times more about Ukraine and Taiwan than we would (or should) ever care
[LocalNews8] Six people were killed after a car crashed into a crowd of people who had gathered to attend a local carnival on Sunday morning in Strépy-Bracquegnies, near La Louvière, Belgium.
Abnother 10 people were sent to nearby hospitals with life-threatening injuries and 27 were "slightly injured," Deputy Crown Prosecutor Damien Verheyen said.
As a group of carnival-goers were marching towards the town center, "a car came from the back at high speed and crashed into group, pulverized a large number of people, continuing its way before stopping a little further down," La Louvière mayor Jacques Gobert told news hounds.
The two men who were in the car, both from La Louvière and born in 1988 and 1990, were arrested, Verheyen said. He added that a "reconstruction of the facts" will be held in order to establish the exact route of the vehicle and any potential motive.
The incident happened at 5 a.m. local time. Strépy-Bracquegnies is located 30 miles (50km) south of Brussels. 5AM?? Was everybody hammered?
There was no evidence that a chase with police led to the incident, officers said, contrary to earlier reports. They also said as yet "no elements" showed that the incident "could be considered as a terrorist attack."
Authorities said five emergency vehicles and 16 ambulances were sent to the scene to transport the victims to various hospitals in the region — 70 non-injured people were evacuated from the scene.
Investigators said the suspects were born in 1988 and 1990 and came from La Louviere, a town near the French border in Belgium's rust belt. They were not known to the authorities for similar acts.
Chief prosecutor Christian Henry said the two were coming from a nightclub "and had just dropped off another person just before the events".
Blood test results were expected on Monday and "will allow us to say if they have consumed drugs", he told RTBF news.
"Nothing goes in the direction of radicalism or extremism," he said.
"The facts have been qualified as murder but we will see what the investigation will reveal and if we should requalify the thing as manslaughter," he added.

[TOLO] "Dude. We told you! They're all gone. Like to Pakistain or someplace. K?"
General Kenneth McKenzie, the commander of the US Central Command, talking to reporters on Friday raised concerns regarding Daesh’s presence and activity in Afghanistan.
He said Daesh has a few thousand fighters in Afghanistan, and they have carried out some high-profile attacks in the past several months since the collapse of the former government.
"So we assess probably a couple thousand, more or less, ISIS fighters in Afghanistan. Of course, when the Taliban opened Pul-e-Charkhi and Parwan prisons and infused new talent and new energy into ISIS -- and so they're now reaping the result of that very shortsighted decision," he said.
McKenzie said if the pressures on Daesh are gone, the group will regenerate in the country. "But absent effective pressure, it's going to be -- we would expect that ISIS will continue to regenerate in the ungoverned spaces, principally in eastern Afghanistan but not exclusively there, and we're going to see them on down the road," he added.
The Islamic Emirate, rejecting McKenzie's remarks, said Daesh hideouts have been discovered and destroyed in the country. Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said such remarks are baseless.
"These claims are baseless and there is no evidence. Daesh’s activities in Afghanistan have been shut down and no one will be allowed to create insecurity," Karimi said.
This is not the first time that McKenzie has made such remarks. On Wednesday he said that the Islamic Emirate is committed to fighting Daesh but has found it difficult.
"Daesh exists in Afghanistan and with its attacks on Shia mosques and schools it wants to attack the government," said Tariq Farhadi, a political analyst.
"The Americans again have plans to have an intelligence presence in Afghanistan and so they make such excuses, while Daesh does not exist," said General Samar, a former military officer.
Previously the UN said in a report that Daesh’s fighters have increased from 2,000 to 4,000 since the opening of prisons in the country. The Islamic Emirate, however, has repeatedly rejected such figures and reports about Daesh.

[THEWEEK] On Saturday and Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invoked his emergency powers under martial law to suppress several opposition political parties and implement a "unified information policy."
In an address to the nation delivered Sunday, he announced a temporary ban on "any activity" by 11 political parties.
The ban includes the Opposition Platform — For Life party, which holds 43 seats in Ukraine's national parliament and is the largest opposition party.
Opposition Platform — For Life is a pro-Russia party, but on March 8, party leader Yuriy Boyko demanded that Russia "stop the aggression against Ukraine," according to Ukrainian outlet LB.
That same day, Viktor Medvedchuk, who was accused of treason against Ukraine in May and beat feet from house arrest shortly after the invasion began, was removed from his post as the party's co-chair. Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... is godfather to Medvedchuk's daughter.
Zelensky's information policy involves "combining all national TV channels, the program content of which consists mainly of information and/or information-analytical programs, [into] a single information platform of strategic communication" to be called "United News."
Rooters notes that, until Saturday, privately owned Ukrainian media outlets "continued to operate" independently.
Zelensky said the measure was necessary to combat Russian misinformation and "tell the truth about the war."

[FUNKER530] More footage from the Azov Battalion BTR crew that's been putting in work in the Defense of Mariupol against Russian forces. We've seen these guys in action before.
All of the far-right neo nazi stuff aside, the Azov Battalion has been putting up a heroic last stand in Mariupol. For the last week or so, they've been entirely surrounded by Russian forces and fully cut-off from any sort of resupply. This BTR crew, which we've posted about before in the link above, has been putting in a ton of work, and in this video they can be seen supporting ground troops attacking Russian forces.

"All of the far-right neo nazi stuff aside, the Azov Battalion has been putting up a heroic last stand"
Why put it 'aside'? Zelensky and Ukrainians don't. They're open supporters of that shit 'far-right neo-Nazi stuff'
#3
Azov Battalion is just the most notorious of several openly bel-Nazi outfits that have been murdering and torturing Russian speaking citizens of the Donbas for at least 8 years. Here is an review of MRI-Nazi Praviy Sektor and its close ties to the Ukrainian Army. They're an important part of Zelensky's government as well.
"On January 16, two more fighters were killed in Peski… The presence of openly neo-Nazi armed formations, barely subordinate to the current government (and numbering up to 2,000 fighters) continues to be a stark characteristic of the contemporary Ukrainian state. As they say, there is no fascism in Ukraine…"

I admire the Azov guys. They're fiercely anti-moslem and very committed, fully dedicated to toxic masculinity, just the way I like it. You may not agree but everyone needs such groups nowadays in this age of Loki.
And this Nazi schmazi? I could point you to a hundred outfits in hindoostan that use the swastika [it's ours you see] and are openly militant. Everyone from the BBC to the Indian media itself calls them hitler's spawn and modern wannabe eichmanns.
Of course I'm rootin' for Putin. But talent is talent. And courage is courage. It's like I said to this pashtun merc before ... well I told him I greatly value his bravery and madness.
I wish there could be some easy resolution to all this, the globalLeft could be told to fuck off and Zelensky would content himself with running a sovereign country of industrious people instead of tried to pied piper them into the Eww. And that both would find a way to channel all that slavic energy into culling moslems. Now wouldn't that be great?
#8
^ I suppose you admire the ones who slaughtered your Kashmiri Hindus too? Because that's what the Azov battalion and other paramilitary organizations like it did in Donetsk, not to muslims but to regular people who only rejected the Globalist appointee Zelensky and wanted to belong to Russia proper. No dialogues no debate or democratic process they are used by Zelensky to silence opposition. Thugs not soldiers.

#7 I wish there could be some easy resolution to all this
The traditional "easy solution to all this" is a decisive and crushing victory by one side over the other. This resolves the uncertainty and tension and allows the hegemonic interstate order to be reestablished*: Seventh Coalition over Napoleon at Waterloo. Red Army winning the Battle of Berlin, followed by the US firebombing of Tokyo followed by Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And so forth.
*Randall Schweller, Ohio State U.'s brilliant International Relations theorist, builds on Robert Gilpin's theory of hegemonic war and uses a physics analogy to explain.
"According to Schweller, two features of the international system yield increased entropy—the impossibility of hegemonic war and the closed state system. First, Schweller posits that hegemonic wars, a topic most famously theorized by Robert Gilpin, are necessary for the regular maintenance of world order. These calamitous conflicts between dominant powers and rising challengers leave the victor with an institutional tabula rasa and clarify the pecking order among the remaining great powers. That is, a hegemonic war presents an opportunity to impose order. If no such conflict comes to pass, entropy will continue its otherwise inexorable rise."

#8 I suppose you admire the ones who slaughtered your Kashmiri Hindus too
Those were thugs now. And moslems, so they're not included in the civilizational spectrum you can co-exist with long term. And I already said I'm with Russia on this. People who haven't fought anything in their life and only cheered or booed others who do will not understand. Everybody can't be guilted into conforming to a single mindset by simply waving the word 'nazi' in their face. By the millennials' definition of the word, I'm a nazi!

"And I already said I'm with Russia on this. People who haven't fought anything in their life and only cheered or booed others who do will not understand"
Excellent. Extremely well said.
Have you heard John Mearsheimer? Here is Mearsheimer in 2015: See the 'Consequences' part of the lecture (skip to the 38th minute): "We're effectively driving the Russians into the arms of China! We need the Russians on China. We need the Russians on Iran. on Syria, on a whole host of issues! Russia is not a peer competitor! The CHINESE are a peer competitor. NATO is going to disappear.... The gang in Washington us not one to rely on..
"The Japanese wonder if we're going to be there for me. And they see us picking a fight with Russia, picking a fight with ISIS, picking a fight with Isis ... and they're not going to see us [as reliable]... This is the gang that doesn't shoot straight...THEY HAVE THE MIDAS TOUCH IN REVERSE! Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya...
"The United States since 1989 has been the greatest power in the world. And we are incredibly secure – the most secure power in history. And that has allowed us to pursue all these foolish policies..."
"The US is leading Ukraine down the primrose path and the end result is that Ukraine is going to be BE WRECKED. It would be in our interest to BURY this crisis as soon as possible. It would certainly be in Russia's interest to bury this crisis. And it would definitely be in Ukraine's interest ..."

^ I have seen some of his talks with Indian media. One of the voices calling for a stabler, more responsible India and I agree. My view was we should be more aggressive too, but that is obstructed by the representational politics.
His analysis of world governments and states negotiating survival and dominance is based though on the assumption that they are led by rational men at all times, or at least most of the time.
My theory is rather basic, and hopelessly flavored with my conviction in the spiritual, because unlike 'experts' I am free to think outside one limited paradigm.☺ I think Putin would agree with me on this.
Human society, like every system in the universe, moves from desperately enforced order to chaos. It's been happening since the garden of eden. And violence is required to keep re-enforcing order. But every time the irrational bastards who give in to what they call 'liberty' are in control, chaos encroaches a little more. States are brought back to order by say, a Trump or a Modi... but the order imposed is decidedly weaker every successful comeback. Thus everything is moving toward anarchy, with bloated bureaucracies and useless legislatures and figurehead Presidents and Chairmen trying to barely keep things on track, riding their respective tigers.
It is Babylon, mon ami. And it's all going up in mushroom clouds sooner than people here want to believe. Until it does, all we must do is keep our individual spheres of influence in order. And that takes violence. As chaos encroaches everyday it takes greater and fiercer violence. Until we are left with one bullet for ourselves.
Putin spent his life enforcing an order in his realm, and is still trying to push at the chaos represented by Europe and the US. He was not challenged because the west thinks Ukraine is important or because of populist sympathy. He is challenged by chaos itself, which regularly uses the nation States its got its hook into. America is sadly one of these States. But today people will never believe this, they have grown up believing 'Rooshia bad! Bad Rooshia!' They have seen 007 diving out of planes being fired upon by slavic misfits and every russian and his metal teeth out to invade the good ol' countryside. In reality Putin and Trump had the same basic vision. To re-enforce order, and weed out the cretins and devils who serve chaos. Which is why they understood each other.
The US was a great nation. All because of it's silent majority, the solid christian nationalist base which gave it the military, the industry, the economy and the morality imbuing its edifices of justice and force projection. But for the past few decades, that majority was slowly disenfranchised, using violence to impose a different kind of order. One that serves the globalist ideal, the false gods of enacted virtue and self-righteous imposition of some dead mescalin addicts' vision for humanity. An order that intends to unleash chaos to remake nations in some textbook utopia.
No one can fix what is happening. The greater violence, like always, will win. Must win. It is the mark of the beast and it is how those tanks will be filled and that AC will cool. The clever ones in the US know this too. Zelensky was promised great things, a chance to strut in the Louise Weiss, but he was never really getting it. Instead thousands were destined to die over the possibility.

[IsraelTimes] Israeli troops arrested two suspects armed with knives as they tried to enter Israel from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip, according to the military.
The Israel Defense Forces says the two were taken for questioning.
[REDSTATE] Inflation continues to slam the American people in ways not seen in over 40 years following the Jimmy Carter administration. The February number clocked in at 7.9 percent, and there are no signs things are going to slow down. Will we soon be at 10 percent inflation? That’s not a bad bet, at this point.
That reality has left poor and middle-class Americans scrambling as they have had to essentially absorb a massive pay reduction due to the increased costs of goods and services. Of course, gas prices are also nearly double what they were when Joe Biden took office.
So, how is our intrepid media handling that? Are they holding the powerful to account? Nah, they are giving advice like this.
Inflation stings most if you earn less than $300K. Here's how to deal:
➡️ Take the bus ➡️ Don’t buy in bulk ➡️ Try lentils instead of meat ➡️ Nobody said this would be fun https://t.co/HGJEoXL5ZZ
The Bloomberg.com article itself is behind a paywall, but you get the gist of its contents in the above tweet. There are also some things within the article to enter into the realm of psychotic. For example, this is an actual quote by the author.
If you’re one of the many Americans who became a new pet owner during the pandemic, you might want to rethink those costly pet medical needs.
The answer to inflation is now to…let your pets die? Also, don’t eat meat, ride a non-existent bus if you live anywhere outside of a major metro area (or get robbed and assaulted on one, if you do live in a city), and suck it up, you big baby, because no one said this would be fun. Or you could just make $300,000...

The mainstream media are the enemy of the people.

All grains a problem. Eggs and so on. This is not going to get better anytime soon. Democrats demand money to fix and nothing happens, truly trickle down economics in play now.

It is one thing to lust for power and control. It is another thing entirely to understand the levers of power and which ones to pull when.
Most food is transported by truck
These morons don’t want to admit that petroleum is the prime mover in costs of most commodities

Will the LSD handling of the economy and its Anti-Fossil Fuel agenda, which has in a large part resulted in inflation. Turn the USA into their pipe dream of a United Socialist States and America?
When buying in bulk the purchases cannot easily be transported in those little carts one sees old people pulling on the streets of New York City — a car is needed. Also, it selfishly takes limited supplies away from others less foresightful, you vile hoarder and waster.

They have ZERO intent on "correcting" what they have previously publically stated is NOT a problem. The "white church lady" crowd elected these bozos. Not literally of course--the election was stolen. But the "white church lady" crowd stupidly gave them enough votes to make the margin of the steal something the criminals could handle.
I hate 45% of my fellow citizens right now for stupidly believing that "trans rights" combined with "mean tweets" meant we needed to crater our country.
[PJMEDIA] There are times when reading about how we are adapting to a many-gendered world that I have to check to make sure I’m still on good old Planet Earth and have not been transported to Cloud Cuckoo Land to live with people who deny the reality of existence.
The Cloud Cuckoo Landers who 30 years ago may have been living under lock and key in some insane asylum are now taking their place in positions of authority and are dictating how the rest of us should view reality.
It would be amusing if there weren’t real-life victims of this nonsense.
A British woman reported to police that she had been raped during a stay in a hospital. But the police were told that simply wasn’t possible because the ward where the woman claims she was raped was for "females only." And since there "was no male in the hospital, therefore the rape could not have happened."
Eh? Even XX females — or X0 females, for that matter — can commit rape. It requires equipment not provided by nature, but objects to meet the need are easy enough to find. I’m sure even in benighted England the law defines rape as unwelcome penetration, not unwelcome p3nile penetration.
Update: According to Wikipedia, England is actually that benighted. Only p3nile penetration is rape; otherwise it is the lesser crime of assault by penetration. In America we are more logical.
Emma Nicholson, the Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, stood before the members of the House of Lords and pointed out that the rape was caught on CCTV, but it took nearly a year for the hospital to admit there was a transgendered person in the ward who raped the victim.
Nicholson claimed that the alleged incident was the direct result of a National Health Service policy known as Annex B, which orders hospitals to place patients in single-sex wards according to their preferred gender identity.
"The result of Annex B is that hospital trusts inform ward sisters and nurses that if there is a male as a trans person in a female ward, and a female patient or anyone complains, they must be told that it is not true, there is no male there," Nicholson said.
She added that the policy "gives priority to trans people over women" and, as a result, erodes the "dignity, privacy and safety" of women and girls. (emphasis added)
According to the baroness, the victim came close to a nervous breakdown after spending nearly a year being told that the rape that she experienced never happened. And the hospital would have actually kept denying the victim’s claims if the CCTV cameras hadn’t shown the truth.

The law does prosecute women for seducing boys and sexually abusing minors. Why can't a case be made for a 'girl with penis' (ugh) raping a woman. After all it is all about the penis?
The law just wants to keep creating categories of people it does not have to bother with enforcing itself upon.

[NYPOST] A Florida woman who was released on a $120 bond after plowing an SUV into a playground and killing a 4-year-old girl is now being held without bail, according to reports.
Kiara Morant, 18, was initially released on the paltry bond after being charged with driving without a license when her Jeep Cherokee barreled into a daycare center playground Wednesday.
After Morant was sprung, one of the children she allegedly struck died — prompting cops to upgrade charges to felony counts of driving without a license resulting in serious injury or death, WWSB-TV reported.
She surrendered to Fort Myers police, who had issued a warrant for her arrest.
Police said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Arcadia when Morant allegedly lost control of the SUV and drove through a chain-link fence at the daycare.
The 4-year-old, identified as Maleena Valdez, later died from her injuries, while a 5-year-old girl remains at death's door.

[IsraelTimes] Ten million people — more than a quarter of the population — have fled their homes in Ukraine due to Russia’s "devastating" war, says the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... refugees chief.
"Among the responsibilities of those who wage war, everywhere in the world, is the suffering inflicted on civilians who are forced to flee their homes," says UNHCR chief Filippo Grandi. "The war in Ukraine is so devastating that 10 million have fled either displaced inside the country, or as refugees abroad."
UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, says that 3,389,044 Ukrainians had left the country since the Russian invasion began on February 24, with another 60,352 joining the exodus since Saturday’s update — a flow roughly the same as the day before.
Some 90% of those who have fled are women and kiddies. Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 are eligible for military call-up and cannot leave.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
