[RoundingTheEarth] Pfizer Trial Fraud: The House of Cards Shakes
Let us summarize what is to come:

  • The trial reports should never have been read as demonstrating efficacy.

  • A trial whistleblower was buried for more than a year, then shared how poorly and dishonestly her trial site was run.

  • The FDA never checked around 94% of trial sites.

  • It appears some of the trial sites were purely fabricated. I leave my mind open for this to be incorrect, but I highly doubt it.

  • Evidence suggests that the vaccines are inducing COVID-19.

  • The method for confirming COVID-19 was both cherry-picked and inconsistently applied. Another method shows Zero Efficacy.

  • International data tells a Zero Efficacy story.

  • National data handlers seem to be "fixing" data to hide Zero Efficacy.

A Confidence Game

The code of the con is to know just enough about everything so you can lie about anything." -Dan Garfat-Pratt

It took me approximately 19.3 minutes to grow tired of hearing the phrase, "Well run clinical trial" after the December 10, 2020 publication of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine trial report. If you did not recognize the insertion of that catch phrase into the daily conversation of every standard American drone model, you probably need your hearing checked. But perhaps that was a perfectly reasonable assumption for a company like Pfizer that has a well-designed logo and ample advertising budget, and gets described as a "habitual offender" in journal-speak (Evans, 2010; Hat tip LifeSiteNews). Isn't a habitual offender who you'd trust to look after your children? Or does that sound a little cra-cra?

Document image left out to keep _me_ from going cray-cray.

What a beautifully type-set document, don't you think?

I remember thinking it sounded...less than classy when college football bowl games were sponsored. At least at that level we can mostly pretend there is no conflict of interest like an egotistical CEO sending a quarter of a million dollars in cash to five star recruits, or whatever the refs might get to keep the outcome of the game in line with positive association with the sponsor brand. And in bowl games, neither university gets to sponsor the game and pay the refs (legally). I wonder what it would buy them if they could?

Let us recall from the start that Pfizer was not even presenting a document in which enough trial participants were reported on to establish the claimed results.

That we still do not have answers as to whether all of this lopsided exclusion total represents injuries that might be fairly classified as COVID-19 stands out as criminal on its own. But this is only one of numerous serious problems that corporate and government actors seem to pretend away en route to the largest medical experiment in human history.

On January 4, 2021, Peter Doshi published an article in the BMJ with the simple message, "We need more details and the raw data." While Doshi covered many important points, the most obvious one that stands out are the thousands of participants with "suspected, but unconfirmed" cases of COVID-19 were not even evaluated for COVID-19. This does not even include hospitalized participants from Site 1231 (and perhaps many others), which we'll talk about below.

The trial additionally seemed to show around an 86% reduction in COVID-19 reinfection cases. This does not seem to fit reality since, which should make us wonder about the entire body of data.

Though we were promised transparency, and presented with a beautifully type-set trial report, there have always been questions about how the data was "processed" or "laundered" or whatever word you might want to use.

Go to the original site to see the whole thing, including all the images I don't want to deal with. The next two sections are titled "Poorly Conducted trial sites" and "Fake Trial Sites?"

[AoSHQ] Ignorant Techno-Policing
Over the past year, there have been some startling revelations about government and technology and how the government uses technology to achieve its ends. The common theme in all of it is the rank incompetence and profound ignorance that seems to permeate every interface between policing and technology. The examples that come immediately to mind are the Rittenhouse and Sussman trials.

During the Rittenhouse trial, I was horrified to see how lackadaisical people are with data and their gross overestimation of their own knowledge and expertise. The DA and his team were tossing files back and forth as E-Mail or SMS attachments. No good chain of custody, no verification that the files were unchanged, no robust protocol. This is unacceptable, and no technically-savvy organization would permit such behavior. When the police enhanced a video clip that ostensibly showed Rittenhouse doing ... something, the defense challenged it and the police put their expert up for questioning. The defense dismantled him.

He was not an expert, he was an operator who used software he had been trained to use. He didn't know how the software worked, and he didn't understand what underlying technologies were used. He just knew how to click the buttons and produce an output. Everyone involved in the prosecution was a technological cargo-cultist. They went through the motions but they didn't know how anything worked. Despite their profound ignorance and blind trust, however, they were thoroughly convinced they knew everything. They called themselves experts and then got humiliated by non-expert outsiders who trapped them with their own ignorance.

The revelations around the Sussman trial do nothing to improve the perception that these people are incompetent and not motivated by justice. The entire "secret connections to Alfa Bank" was predicated not on some known data channel or evidence that Trump's businesses were colluding with Russian information ops, but instead was based on misunderstanding communications related to E-Mail spam. Per my understanding, someone at Alfa was on a mailing list for spam. This is not nefarious. In this case the feds - unlike the locals in the Rittenhouse case - did have people with enough expertise to question this. These people were ignored, because it was good enough to keep pushing forward with their crimes and besides, they knew in their guts that Trump was guilty and so the ends justified the means - and it looked great to people who don't know anything. Very high-tech.

These people who have the gall to convert a republic into a technocratic police state are also ignorant and stupid in their chosen domain. Technology is magic, and it says what they want it to say. Anyone who questions it from the inside is ignored and anyone who questions it from the outside is called a white supremacist. They're not experts. They're not even armchair enthusiasts. They just press the buttons and railroad their opponents. They don't understand (or they ignore) "garbage in, garbage out" and fall back on "the computer says he's guilty!"

-Lurid Crime Tales-
From Crime-plagued California, Gavin Newsom Condemns Republicans over Texas Shooting
[Breitbart] California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) used the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to attack Republicans over gun control, though violent crime and homicides have increased dramatically in the Golden State in recent years.

Newsom reacted after a shooting in which an armed 18-year-old murdered 19 children and two adults after infiltrating the school. The perpetrator was killed by an armed Border Patrol agent who happened to be nearby and rushed into the school.

Despite Newsom’s claims, violent crime is up in much of the state, including homicide. The Associated Press reported last year:

Homicides in California jumped 31% last year, making it the deadliest year since 2007, and Black people accounted for nearly one-third of all victims as the nation’s most populous state struggled with the coronavirus pandemic and concerns over racial injustice, according to reports released Thursday.

The 2,202 homicides last year were 523 more than in 2019, while the rate increased by a similar margin — from 4.2 to 5.5 homicides per 100,000 people.

That’s the most slayings since 2,258 people were killed in 2007, and the rate is the highest since 2008. Black people make up 6.5% of California’s population but accounted for 31% of all victims last year. Hispanic people accounted for 45%, while 16% were white.

There have also been several mass shootings in California despite the state’s strict gun control laws, backed by Newsom.

Some of California’s gun control laws have also been unconstitutional. Earlier this month, the liberal Ninth Circuit struck down a ban on the sale of semiautomatic rifles — those that reload one bullet after one fire — to those between 18-20.

#1  Wasn't it just yesterday we had video on this site of a smash and grab attempt in a California jewelry store?

Here's another question: How many homeless freaks have overdosed on fentanyl and died on California streets during Newsom's time as governor? I'm guessing the number exceeds by quite a bit the number of kids who just died in Uvalde. And what about the homeless people who die from all kinds of other causes? How about we get some fentanyl control? Some homeless freak control?

It's never good when people die before their time like those kids in that school but Newsom is big hypocrite who should mind his own business.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Boilers have already begun to boil: What has changed after the liberation of Mariupol and the surrender of Azovstal
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Oleksandr Kots

[KP] It would seem, what does Azovstal and Mariupol have to do with it? And this is not only a military victory, but also a psychological one. Giving confidence to our fighters.

Do you feel how the front buzzed after the final liberation of Mariupol and the surrender of its entire garrison?

From Avdievka to Izyum, from Liman to Severodonetsk.

A huge military machine set in motion, which, it seemed, over the past month “got bogged down in positional battles”, “rested against the enemy’s defenses,” gnawing out new territories literally by a meter.

During the special operation, the command of the allied forces of Russia with the republics of Donbass, and we, the reporters, had enough opportunities to study the tactics of the Ukrainian troops. We must give them their due - they know how to defend themselves. Small maneuverable groups with Western anti-tank weapons, American counter-battery systems that allow us to open positions of our artillery in a minimum time, saturation with drones and powerful fortified areas that allow us to wait out the bombing ...

While the confrontation is at the level of artillery duels (that's why 95 percent of all losses are from fragments) and partisan attacks with Javelins from forest plantations, the Ukrainians hold on to positions with their teeth. But as soon as it comes to a direct collision, they prefer to roll back to the pre-prepared second and third lines of defense. They do not like close combat and "shooters," especially since 80 percent of Ukrainian soldiers are mobilized reservists and fighters of the defense, who took up arms for the first time. So they write ultimatums to Zelensky, refusing to "perform combat missions in inhuman working conditions."

WHO TO PREPARE AFTER MARIUPOL
What does Azovstal and Mariupol have to do with it? And this is not only a military victory, but also a psychological one. Giving confidence to our fighters. And undermined the faith in their authorities among the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU). Battalions are released from Mariupol, which will go to fight off the rest of the lands of the people's republics.

How will the battle for Donbass unfold after the surrender of the Mariupol garrison?

Let's try to predict.

It is hardly worth waiting for swift marches with movement along the entire front. But since 2014, the APU has been known to be allergic to boilers, which 8 years ago Ukrainian troops fell into with fatal persistence. Indeed, in addition to the Ilovaisky and Debaltsevo boilers, there were smaller encirclements. But at that time, the most militant passionate Ukrainian units were also ground in them.

I would venture to suggest that now the fate of the Donbass will be decided in such fire bags.

SEVERODONETSK-LYSICHANSK
The most obvious today is the Severodonetsk boiler. It's actually framed. The city (by the way, formally - the capital of the part of the Lugansk region, which remained under the control of Kyiv) is already blocked from the North, East and South. And his communication with neighboring Lisichansk was actually interrupted. One bridge was blown up, the second - under the fire control of the allied artillery.

According to the third, it is possible, perhaps, to escape. And this will not be the worst option for the 2,000-strong Ukrainian garrison in Severodonetsk. "Polymorsos" (political and moral state) is clearly not in combat now, and skirmishes are already underway in the city itself. The very option that is so disliked in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, it can be assumed that the Severodonetsk garrison will at some point roll back to Lisichansk, where it will join up with a larger group.

But even here there will be no salvation, because Lisichansk is also close to the encirclement. Yes, this city is on a hill and is very convenient for defense. But the roads to Slavyansk and Bakhmut (former Artemovsk) still controlled by Ukraine are being shot through by Russian artillery. And that's about to be cut. Without the supply of ammunition, the Lisichansk garrison is doomed.

And an important point - with the capture of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, the territory of the LPR will be completely liberated.

AVDIEVSKOE NEST
To the north of Donetsk, Avdievka is gradually surrounded, where the Ukrainian garrison of up to 6,000 people settled. It is from this city that Donetsk itself, Gorlovka, and Yasinovataya have been shelled in recent years. And they're still shooting...

It is difficult to storm Avdievka directly - for 8 years powerful fortifications have been erected here. Most likely, the allied troops will bypass it on the flanks, block and compress the ring. The liberation of Avdievka will finally allow the residents of Donetsk and its suburbs to breathe easy, forget about the shelling and begin to establish a peaceful life.

And the final liberation of Donbass will be decided, apparently, in the battles for Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, where about 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have settled. However, Kyiv can manage to increase this figure by bringing reservists here.

The offensive to these cities is now going on in several directions at once. From the north - from Izyum and from the east - from Krasny Liman. From the southeast, after clearing the newly taken Svetlodarsk, the released forces can join them. From the south, the Allied troops will begin to prop up after the solution of the issue with Avdiivka.

Don't expect a quick win here. In 2014, Ukrainian troops were never able to break through the defenses of Slovyansk, where Strelkov's militia were. But everything was decided by the complete encirclement of the city. As a result, Strelkov then broke through with his garrison to Donetsk. But now the Ukrainians will simply have nowhere to go. Only captured.

DO NOT STORM DIRECTLY, BUT BREAK IN PARTS
The tactics of "small boilers" makes it possible to optimally use the forces of the republics of Donbass and a group of Russian troops. Minimize the losses that can be incurred during the storming of cities, block and destroy the main nodes of the Ukrainian defense and its supply routes. The most combat-ready formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass are fragmented into several fragments that are not connected to each other. As you know, it is difficult to break a broom through the knee. And on one twig - quite.

Artemovsk-Lysichansk highway cut
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] The Artemovsk-Lysichansk highway is cut.

It is reported that our troops took Belogorovka on the Artemovsk-Lysichansk highway, as well as the village of Nagornoye located near Belogorovka (other sources claim that the exit to the highway did not occur in Belogorovka, but near Belogorovka).

Thus, the main supply route of the Severodonetsk grouping was physically cut off (plus, in the Soledar area, it had been under fire control for 3 days already).

Also today Russian forces occupied Toshkovka (there are confirming videos), which posed a threat to the main supply line of the AFU grouping in the Gorsko-Zoloty fortified area. In fact, everything north of Belogorovka is actually in the operational environment, since the Ukrainian Armed Forces still have at their disposal the road through Seversk, which has a much lower capacity.

In fact, Seversk becomes a support for the neck of the Severodonetsk boiler. When moving towards Seversk from Yampol or when moving from Belogorovka to the Artemovsk-Seversk highway, the boiler from the operational one will become full. I believe that already this week we will see a large boiler, unless, of course, the Armed Forces of Ukraine urgently begin to retreat to Artemovsk and Slavyansk.

Staff propagandist Butusov confirms the loss of control over the Artemovsk-Lysichansk road and claims that the highway has been cut. Heavy fighting continues in this area. Ours are expanding the zone of control, and the enemy is trying to hold back the pressure of our troops in order to preserve the opportunity, through counterattacks, to try to push us out of the Belogorovka area.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine still have reserves in the Artemivsk area, but the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is well aware that these attacks will be costly and most likely entail irreparable losses, primarily in the material part, which will still be needed in the defense of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. So if in the next 1-2 days the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not make serious efforts to regain control over the road (if they are capable of such efforts at all), then the choice is simple - either put up with the fact that the entire Severodonetsk,

It will be interesting to look at this choice - it was previously known that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is in favor of a withdrawal, and the Zelensky gang and its owners are in favor of repeating Mariupol in Severodonetsk, with the death of the entire encircled group for the sake of delaying time.
Die in place: a time honored tactic
In general, the main intrigue of the coming days is the events to the south of Severodonetsk and Lisichansk and the struggle for control over the road.

Now the situation is more and more reminiscent of the Mariupol cauldron after the Russian marines, breaking through from Berdyansk, went to Mangush and began to bypass Mariupol from the west.

Then it was already called a cauldron, but for some time it was still possible to leave Mariupol along country roads in the north of the city, which were fired upon by our artillery. Over time, these roads were taken completely under control and the boiler became full when the troops of the DPR and the RF Armed Forces met north of the city.

This is approximately the situation that the Severodonetsk group finds itself in - the main supply line has been cut, but there are still possibilities for retreat along a secondary road. Well, or dubious supply opportunities through it.

Yuri Butuvov's remarks on Facebook:
Russian troops went out yesterday on the highway bahmut - Lysičansʹk in the area of the villages of Nagírne and Bílogorívka (this is the second Bílogorivka, a village on the highway, unlike Bílogorovki on the bank of the Siversʹkogo Doncâ).
Siversʹkogo Doncâ is the North Donetsk River
The road is blocked off.

The second day there are fights in the area. In just seven days the enemy tries to break through our defense and intercept the track. The opponent is looking to strengthen and expand the breakthrough zone.

If the opponent can strengthen, it will mean an operational environment of our troops in the areas of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.

The environment will be incomplete - but there will be only one secondary path.

Everyone sees the situation, of course. This should not become the second Mariupol.

So I am now in the area of Severodonetsk, with our troops, I have no doubt that everything necessary must be done to defeat the enemy in the area.

Our troops in Severodonetsk and Lysichansk will hold positions, all attempts of daily attacks on Severodoneck were thwarted with great losses for Russian troops. Our warriors are not going to surrender Luhansk region.

The threat from the rear can't help but cause concern, it has to be talked about to show understanding of the situation and taking action.

There is no reason for panic - it's war, and the result depends more on our initiative and competent command than on the actions of the enemy. This is why we need prudent actions, we need reinforcement. We are not victims, we have the strength and resources, the will, and the desire to win.

A separate report from a Censor.net reporter disputes that the road to Bakhmut/Artemovsk has been physically cut. Plus there is an admonition about spreading rumors. Censor.net news outlet, the Ukrainians are disputing Russia's claim they have cut off any road to Bakhmut/Artemovsk:
Luhansk region is not cut off, the route Lisichansk - Bakhmut is not blocked, - Gaidai

The information that the occupiers allegedly cut off the "Road of Life" is not true.

The head of OVA Sergey Gaidai reported about it, informs Censor.NET.

Luhansk region is NOT cut off! Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway is NOT blocked. Access to Lysychansk and Severodonetsk is available. In the afternoon the media started spreading news that the occupiers allegedly cut off the "road of life."

"Some headlines, in general, are outrageous." Russians cut off the Lysychansk-Bakhmut route. Luhansk region in the cauldron? "Irresponsibly and manipulatively. Keep your assumptions to yourself. Have you thought about what will happen to the relatives of the defenders who defend the Luhansk region and relatives of those who remained in the region when they read it? What cauldron? Think about people. Trust only official sources of information, " Gaidai added.

Ukraine's Electric Cavalry: The E-Bikes Being Used In Battle
[Radio Free Europe] Ukrainian fighters are ushering in a new era of battlefield tactics by using powerful locally designed electric bikes.

The image below of a packaged NLAW anti-tank missile mounted to what looks like an off-road motorcycle in Ukraine is causing a buzz in tech media. The two-wheeled vehicle is, in fact, an electric bicycle, and represents a historic tactical advancement in warfare.

Government Corruption
Durham Trial: The Guy Who Ran FBI Counterintelligence in Trump Russia Scam Has a Really, Really Bad Memory
[PJ Media] On opening day of week two of the Michael Sussmann trial about "Trump Russia Collusion," we found out that when it comes to remembering a domestic threat to the national security of the United States — supposedly from a person who could become the President — the guy who used to run the FBI Counterintelligence department has a really, really bad memory.

The Special Counsel prosecution team put former FBI counterintelligence chief Bill Priestap on the stand to ask him about the Alfa-Bank hoax. This was a smear of Donald Trump by Hillary Clinton’s campaign that used bogus data to tie Trump to the Kremlin in order to entice law enforcement into opening an investigation before the 2016 election. Prosecutors called it an "October Surprise."

Priestap left the bureau after a 21-year career to found a security company called "Trenchcoat Advisors" in 2019, the same year the Inspector General issued his report naming the former high-level FBI man as the person who green-lighted all other investigations into Trump-Russia Collusion.

In trial testimony, Priestap produced notes from a meeting with the former FBI General Counsel, James Baker. The notes confirmed that Sussmann, a former DOJ prosecutor, did not bring the bogus information to the FBI on behalf of his clients, Hillary Clinton or the DNC, or the cybersecurity executive who produced the data. Rather, he did it because he was a concerned American and not because he was paid to do so by Hillary’s campaign. That’s important because prosecutors contend that Sussmann lied to the FBI about this material point in bringing that data to them.

Priestap didn’t remember much and seemed cagey about the Alfa-Bank debacle. He didn’t remember details of the Alfa-Bank investigation, nor meeting with reporters about it, nor thinking that the Chicago FBI field office assigned to the investigation needed to know about the provenance of the dirt. That information was kept from line officers investigating the case.

Terror Networks
US sanctions target international network of Hamas bean-counters
[IsraelTimes] The US Treasury Department announces that it has sanctioned a Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, official along with a network of backers to the terror group.

The network is overseen by Hamas’s Investment Office, which manages the day-to-day management of more than $500 million in assets, including firms in Sudan, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
, Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
, Algeria, and the United Arab Emirates. The targeted individuals are being sanctioned by the Treasury Department under a 2001 executive order that allows for the financial holdings of designated individuals or groups to be blocked in order to stem terror funding.

"Today’s action targets the individuals and companies that Hamas uses to conceal and launder funds," says Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes Elizabeth Rosenberg while in Israel to discuss terrorism financing efforts.

"Hamas has generated vast sums of revenue through its secret investment portfolio while destabilizing Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, which is facing harsh living and economic conditions. Hamas maintains a violent mostly peaceful agenda that harms both Israelis and Paleostinians. The United States is committed to denying Hamas the ability to generate and move funds and to holding Hamas accountable for its role in promoting and carrying out violence in the region," she adds in a statement released by her office.

The list of sanctioned individuals includes Ahmed Sharif Abdallah Odeh, a Jordanian national who officially headed Hamas’s international investment portfolio until 2017 but remained involved even after stepping down from the post.

He was replaced by Osama Ali, who in 2019 was appointed to Hamas’s Shura Council — a quasi-legislative branch and he later served on Hamas’s Executive Committee, maintaining direct contact with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, the bureau’s deputy Saleh al-Arouri and others.

Also designated is Hisham Younis Yahia Qafisheh, a Ottoman Turkish based Jordanian national who served as Osama Ali’s deputy and was involved in transferring funds on behalf of various companies linked to Hamas’s investment portfolio.

Qafisheh has served as a board member at the Sudan-based Agrogate Holding, deputy board chair at the Turkey-based Trend GYO, board chair Sudan-based Al Rowad Real Estate Development, manager at the Saudi real estate firm Anda Company. All four firms have been designated by the Treasury as well.

Hamas’s investment office also covertly held assets in the Algeria-based Sidar Company and the UAE-based Itqan Real Estate JSC, which posed as legitimate businesses but were controlled by Hamas and transferred money to the group and its military wing, the Treasury Department says, justifying its decision to designate the two firms.

Lastly, the US has designated Abdallah Yusuf Faisal Sabri, a Kuwait-based Jordanian accountant who has worked in the Hamas Finance Ministry for several years.

"Since at least 2018, Sabri has managed Hamas’s operational expenses and oversaw the transfer of large sums of money on behalf of Hamas, including transfers from Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
and Saudi Arabia, which he sent to Hamas members, units, and industries," the Treasury says.

In 2018, Sabri was appointed chair of a key financial committee that likely made him privy to the terror group’s financial planning, investment projects and sources of income, the Treasury says.

India-Pakistan
Day 2: State flexes its muscles to curb PTI power show
[Dawn]
  • Section 144 imposed in major cities; PTI claims over 1,200 leaders, activists ‘picked up’
    • Lahore and Islamabad sealed with containers; M1, M2 and GT Road blocked at different points

After deciding not to allow Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
’s ’Azadi March’ on the capital, the government on Tuesday rounded up over 1,000 PTI leaders and workers in a crackdown designed to derail the party’s plans for a massive power show in Islamabad.

Section 144 was imposed in Lahore, the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...

3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

government sought the deployment of Rangers to control the law and order situation.

Punjab Home Secretary Syed Ali Murtaza confirmed that assistance of Rangers personnel had been requisitioned.

Traffic plying between Lahore and the twin cities was also brought to a standstill after all entry and exit points leading towards Islamabad were closed down. According to the Lahore district administration, no one would be allowed to cross its district boundary and containers and barricades were installed on all major roads including link roads leading toward motorways and GT Road.

The government has also directed transporters not to provide buses, cars and vans to PTI workers.

The Attock Bridge on GT Road has also been closed, while the M1 motorway has been closed near Swabi. Containers have also been placed on the Ravi Toll Plaza, leading to the M2 motorway from Lahore. According to police sources, 150 freight shipping containers have been placed on road sides to block the roads in Rawalpindi district while 4,000 police from Multan
    ...Home of the Multan Sultans...
, Lahore, Farooqabad and Sargodha have been called to assist Rawalpindi and Attock police.

Reacting to the government’s arrangements, former human rights
...which often include carefully measured allowances of freedom at the convenience of the state...
minister Shireen Mazari — who was detained and later released on court orders a few days ago — told a ’Meet the Press’ programme at the National Press Club that PTI never stopped protests and sit-ins while they were in power.

"State machinery is being used to stop people from attending the march. I want to make it clear that the marchers will stand firm if the government uses violence as a tactic to disperse them," she said.

    WORKERS’ ARRESTS
Official documents seen by Dawn indicated the authorities had prepared a list of around 2,076 PTI workers and office bearers from different areas of the province, who were to be prevented from participating in the long march.

According to an official tally, law enforcement agencies have arrested over 1,200 PTI workers and leaders from different divisions of the province including 149 from Lahore, 93 from Sahiwal, 139 from Faisalabad
...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after...
, 89 from Gujranwala197 from Sargodha, 32 from Bahawalpur, 183 from DG Khan, and 314 from Multan. In addition, 86 PTI workers and local leaders were picked up in Rawalpindi district, most of whom were sent to Adiala Jail.

Separately, following a series of pre-dawn raids by the Karachi police, only MNA Saif ur Rehman Mehsud was arrested from his Sohrab Goth residence while raiding parties returned empty handed from nearly all other places, fanning anger among party ranks.

A police officer told Dawn on condition of anonymity that they had been directed to arrest PTI workers, MPAs, MNAs and office bearers. He said every district police officer had been directed to stop PTI in their respective jurisdictions. "We have also been directed to conduct raids on houses and impound vehicles bearing pro-PTI slogans or flag and stickers," he said.

Police are currently said to be seeking detention orders from the deputy commissioners of their respective areas so they could hold these people for violating Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, under which police can detain these individuals for up to 90 days.

Punjab government spokesperson Ataullah Tarar rejected reports of the arrest of over 1,200 PTI workers in the province and told Dawn that around 250 workers and leaders of PTI were taken into custody for violating section 144 imposed by the government.

It was learned that police also conducted raids in Murree, Gujar Khan, Kahuta, Taxila and Rawalpindi to detain a number of PTI workers and activists. However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
most of the party’s top leaders have so far avoided arrest by going into hiding.

PTI Islamabad President Ali Nawaz Awan told Dawn that police was arresting party workers and harassing them in violation of orders of Islamabad High Court (IHC).

"According to our estimates, 1,100 houses have been raided and around 500 workers have been arrested to discourage people from attending the march," he said.

    Imran Khan’s march to chaos
[Dawn] THE country seems to be heading towards political confrontation following the government’s decision to ban the PTI march on Islamabad. Crackdowns on the opposition leaders and the sealing of the capital have created a highly volatile situation. The government already seems to be panicking.

    Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
had earlier this week called upon his supporters to storm the capital. He begins what he describes as a ’battle for real freedom’ today. He is demanding the immediate dissolution of the National Assembly and the announcement of an election date. He plans to gather more than a million people to bring down what he describes as an ’imported government’ installed through a ’foreign conspiracy’.

Whether or not Khan succeeds in his objective, the situation is becoming increasingly untenable for the present dispensation. The government’s actions could set fire to a combustible situation. That’s exactly what the former prime minister wants. He has already announced he will defy the government’s ban. The impending confrontation could cause the entire political edifice to collapse, raising the possibility of extra-constitutional intervention.

Curiously, Imran Khan has warned the security establishment to stay neutral in the political fray, marking a complete turnaround from his criticism of the military leadership’s decision not to rescue his government. He has, however, urged the families of military personnel and ex-servicemen to join the march.

The former prime minister’s demagoguery weaponised nationalist sentiments.

It is evident that he actually wants the security establishment to be on his side rather than stay neutral in the political power struggle. The campaign against the military leadership by PTI supporters seems to be a part of the effort to bring the institution under pressure. It’s an extremely dangerous game that could have serious implications for the unity of the institution.

Pak politics has been on a roller coaster forever. But what’s happening now on the country’s political stage is bizarre. Just a few months ago, before his ouster from office, Imran Khan’s popularity graph seemed to have plummeted to a new low. Bad governance, the rising cost of living and erratic decision-making had eroded his support base. The creeping demoralisation in party ranks had triggered defections. The hybrid project had fallen apart and an epitaph was being prepared.

But within days of the vote of no-confidence move, the situation changed dramatically. The party rose like a phoenix from the ashes. Khan’s narrative of a ’foreign conspiracy’, however false, hit a chord with large sections of the population that held deep-rooted anti-American sentiments. His demagoguery weaponised nationalist emotions.

It is, however, not the only factor contributing to the exponential rise in the former prime minister’s political fortunes, as is evident by his massive public rallies. His narrative of ’imported rule’ that, according to him, has marked the return to power of a ’tainted and tried’ leadership, has proved to be extremely effective in rallying support, particularly among the urban middle classes and the youth.

The tide seems to have turned in the PTI’s favour, with the political situation getting messier. With the de-seating of PTI defectors in Punjab, the fate of the newly installed PML-N chief minister hangs in the balance. Effectively, there is no government in the country’s most powerful province. The situation is not very different at the centre, where a weak coalition government is unable to take the hard decisions required to prevent the economy’s free fall. The government has decided against holding early elections and to complete the term of the National Assembly. But the situation is dicey, with growing political instability and an economy in dire straits.

What seems to have given impetus to Khan’s narrative is the growing perception that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif
...served two three non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts...
is calling the shots from London. This view was reinforced when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and some key cabinet ministers flew to London for consultations with the senior Sharif. The former prime minister has also reportedly been participating via video link in meetings on administrative issues.

All that has undermined the position of the junior Sharif. The reported differences between the brothers over the issue of early elections added to the uncertainty and has further weakened the capacity of the coalition government to take hard decisions to salvage the economy.

It has been more than six weeks since the installation of the new government, but nothing has been done to stop the financial hemorrhaging caused by subsidies. While the talks with the IMF are on, the finance minister has reiterated that the government would not remove the subsides on petroleum prices. The latest development has increased political uncertainty and is bound to have an adverse effect on negotiations with the Fund and diminish the possibility of getting a bailout from friendly countries.

It seems that the coalition government has decided to preside over a possible economic meltdown rather than going to the hustings. Its decision not to dissolve the Assembly also seems to have been driven by Imran Khan’s policy of confrontation. Fearful of taking any unpopular action on its own, the Sharif government is now looking towards the security establishment to help it salvage the situation.

There has been some talk about involving the National Security Committee in taking hard decisions on the issue of subsidies. The suggestion to seek the military’s support has further exposed the government’s incapacity in dealing with the crisis. A redundant parliament has worsened the government’s predicament, raising questions about its sustainability.

It appears that the country may be moving towards a new hybrid arrangement with a weak administration seeking the military’s support in propping it up. The latest development could put the military leadership, which is already under attack by the PTI supporters, in a serious quandary. Imran Khan’s warning seems to be directed at the security establishment. While once he himself had been propped up by the establishment, the former prime minister is now on the warpath against his former patrons. This situation has raised the possibility of the military getting mired more deeply in the political power game. It is perhaps the most serious crisis the country has faced in recent times.

    Britain
British Parliament: UK’s Withdrawal from Afghanistan was a “disaster”
[KhaamaPress] Members of the British House of Representatives recently stated that the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from Afghanistan last year was a "disaster" and "betrayal" that will harm the country’s interests for years.

The findings of the inquiry, released on Monday (May 23rd), demonstrate that the British government’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was marred by "systematic leadership failure."

Intelligence, diplomacy, and planning "systemic failures," according to the Foreign Affairs Committee.

    Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, Buford bit the snake and Eloise began speaking in tongues...
a senior British military general who has also served in Afghanistan recently told the BBC that UK government officials and leaders should be ashamed of leaving their allies and colleagues alone in Afghanistan.

Many Afghans working with the British army in Afghanistan were left behind, according to a report by the House Foreign Affairs Committee, because the details of their application were left with the British Embassy.

According to the report, the lack of coordination was due to the unpredictability of Afghanistan’s downfall.

The British government’s biggest failure during the evacuation, according to the report, was not having a clear plan for evacuating Afghan colleagues.

The Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament also called on the British government to build a comprehensive strategy for future engagement with Afghanistan in their report.

Despite the presence of UK personnel in Afghanistan, combat operations stopped in 2014, leaving hundreds of troops to help in the training of the Afghan government’s army.

    The Taliban

gained rapid conquests as the US withdrew troops following the US withdrawal agreement with the Taliban. Consequently, the Taliban assumed the control of Afghanistan in mid-August last year.

    Afghanistan
Three Power Pylons Repair Time Takes Weeks
It used to be the Taliban causing trouble for the Afghan government. Now, of course, the Taliban is the government, and they get to deal with the lack of power, the annoyed citizenry, and yet another expense their government cannot afford without generous and regular Western cash transfers.
[KhaamaPress] Unidentified individuals have blown up and demolished three electricity importing power pylons from Uzbekistan in Samangan province, according to local Taliban
    ...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
    officials.

According to the state-run Bakhtar News Agency, local Taliban officials said on Monday, May 23rd, that a landmine blast in Samangan entirely destroyed three electricity importing power pylons from Uzbekistan, which would take weeks to repair.

The substations’ demolition has cut off parts of Afghanistan, and Taliban officials report that a technical team has been assigned to repair them.

No group or individual has grabbed credit for the destruction of the power pylons, and the Taliban say they are investigating to identify and arrest those responsible.

    Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, there was only one thought in the mouse's mind: I can do this! I can do this! Then the trap sprung...
due to the damage of two power pylons in Salang, Kabul and 11 other provinces have been without electricity for almost three weeks.

Unknown individuals fully demolished the two substations, in Salang on April 30, and the power company has been unable to provide electricity to Kabul and neighboring provinces for the past 20 days.

The electricity company, also known as Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat 9DABS), had previously stated that each power pylon would cost $100,000 to repair.

Population decline in Russia: ‘Putin has no other choice but to win' in Ukraine
[France24] With a slumping birth rate, a death rate on the rise and immigration slowly falling, Russia is experiencing population decline. Despite having launched some of the most encouraging childbirth policies, Putin is now facing a "major problem for someone who believes population is synonymous with power", says French demographer Laurent Chalard.

Russia’s population has been declining at a dizzying rate for the past 30 years. The demographic trend has been steadfast since 1991, when the Soviet Union fell and Russia counted 148.2 million inhabitants within its far-reaching borders. By 2021, that number had fallen to 146.1 million, according to Russian statistics agency Rosstat. What’s even more striking is that, according to demographic projections, the country’s population will continue to fall and reach between 130 and 140 million inhabitants by 2050.

"Russia is paying the cost of the 90s," explains Alain Blum, a demographer at the National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) in France. "When the Soviet Union fell, the country plunged into a serious demographic crisis. For the first time, Russia’s mortality rate significantly exceeded its birth rate, leading to a decline in its population." By the early 2000s, Russia had a population of only 143 million.

"Today, people of childbearing age are those who were born during that period, and there simply aren’t enough of them to drive population growth," the researcher explains. Especially given that Russia is also facing an increased mortality rate at the moment as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Biden Had a Chance to Say the Right Thing on the Uvalde Shooting - but He Didn't
[Red State] Joe Biden delivered remarks on the shooting on Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. At least 21 have died at the hands of the shooter, including 18 children and one teacher. The shooter has been identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos. A border patrol agent was shot responding to the incident. He was just trying to help out; there was no immigration nexus to the matter. Ramos allegedly shot his grandmother earlier in the day, drove to the school, and began shooting up the school.

Biden ordered the flags on the White House to be flown at half-mast as a "mark of respect for the victims of senseless acts of violence."

"I had hoped....I wouldn’t have to do this again," Biden said, noting that the parents will never be the same.

    Government Corruption
Census Bureau Undercounted 5 Red States, Overcounted 6 Blue States
[Breitbart] The United States Census Bureau undercounted five red states and overcounted six blue states in the 2020 Census, according to a report issued by the agency this month.

For years, the establishment media and left-wing think tanks went after former President Donald Trump’s administration by accusing officials of using the 2020 Census to undercount constituencies that leaned Democrat.

When Trump sought to put the American citizenship question back on the Census, left-wing Brookings Institute executives accused the administration of trying "to hijack" the process and "imperil America’s future."

The Washington Post editorial board, in March, alleged that the Trump administration "got exactly what it wanted" when the Census Bureau found that minority communities in the United States had been undercounted in the final tally.

"The Trump administration might have failed in its effort to exclude undocumented immigrants from the U.S. Census. But it still managed to get exactly what it wanted: a less accurate count that diminishes minority communities in the United States," the Post editorial board wrote.

Now, the Census Bureau has issued a report detailing how a number of states were undercounted while otherwise were overcounted. The states that were undercounted include Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas — all but one of which voted twice for Trump in the last two presidential elections.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene edges out five competitors in GOP primary
[Washington Examiner] Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday edged out five GOP challengers in a primary election that tested the Republican firebrand and former President Donald Trump's influence in Georgia.

Greene beat out her closest challenger, Jennifer Strahan, in the crowded primary contest for Georgia's 14th Congressional District, several television networks projected.

The other Republicans in the race were Erin Cunningham, Charles Lutin, James Haygood, and Seth Synstelien.

Greene spent the weekend leading up to Tuesday's primary slamming President Joe Biden. During a "Bikers for Trump" event for former Sen. David Perdue, Greene was brought onstage to chants of "Let's go Brandon!" — a shorthand insult to the president.

She said she felt "great" about her chances Tuesday despite a growing anti-Greene sentiment in her district.

Suspected Turkish warplanes bombard village in Duhok
[Rudaw] A village on the border of Duhok province’s Akre was bombarded by suspected Ottoman Turkish warplanes on Tuesday without resulting in any casualties, local officials told Rudaw, presumably targeting positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the mountainous regions of the area as The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
continues its operations against the Kurdish opposition group in the Kurdistan Region.

Bombardment from the suspected Ottoman Turkish warplanes targeted two locations in Shinye village in the town of Dinarte, according to Shaaban Khalil, the head of the town, who added that the village has been deserted but locals still visit to herd their livestock and tend to their farms.

"At 3:30 pm this afternoon, Ottoman Turkish warplanes bombarded areas near Shinye village. The bombardment was near locals of the village but they were unharmed," Bakhtiyar Aziz, Shinye’s chieftain, told Rudaw on Tuesday.

The PKK does not have clear positions inside the village, but it is believed that it has positions in the village’s mountainous areas.

Also on Tuesday, two rockets targeted the facilities of Khani media agency in Duhok, disrupting its live television and radio broadcasts. Mushir Ahmed, the mayor of Zakho, blamed the PKK for the attack.

Turkey frequently targets PKK positions beyond its southern border with the Kurdistan Region. It recently launched a fresh phase in a series of anti-PKK operations. The operation, dubbed Claw-Lock, is an air and ground assault that heavily focuses on mountainous border areas where the gang maintains a presence.

On Saturday, two suspected Ottoman Turkish drones targeted a vehicle in the sub-district of Aghjalar in Sulaimani province, killing five passengers including at least two members of the PKK, according to a local official. The PKK is an gang that is designated a terrorist organization by Turkey.

ISIS attack kills six civilians in Diyala, says official
    [Rudaw] Suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) forces of Evil on Monday attacked Diyala, killing at least six people and injuring several others, a local official told Rudaw as the terror group exploited the thick dust storm that has engulfed Iraq to launch its assaults.

At around 10:00 pm, ISIS attacked the disputed territory of Diyala’s Gulala town, known as Jalawla in Arabic, killing at least two people, local security head Shamal Abdulrahman told Rudaw.

The corpse count later climbed to six after the forces of Evil launched an assault on a family residence in the area, killing four of its members, Abdulrahman added. At least eight others, including two Iraqi soldiers, have been injured.

The terror group has not commented on the assault.

ISIS has exploited the heavy dust storm that has enveloped Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to launch attacks.
Al Ahram’s take on the tale:
Militants from the Islamic State group killed 12 civilians and wounded at least six in two separate attacks in Iraq, apparently taking advantage of a sandstorm that sharply reduced visibility across the country, security officials said Tuesday.

The attacks occurred on Monday evening in Kirkuk and Diyala provinces, where farmers came under fire while harvesting their crops.

The Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement that six civilians were killed in the attack in the village of Sami Asi, south of the city of Kirkuk. The Kurdish news network Rudaw said after the killings, an Iraqi federal police force that arrived on the scene was ambushed and three policemen were killed.

Earlier, IS launched an attack in Diyala's town of Gulala, killing six residents, two Iraqi security officials said.

The Sunni extremist group claimed responsibility late Monday for the Kirkuk attack, claiming it killed five Shiites in their agricultural fields in al-Rashad area in Kirkuk and set fire to five vehicles. It said its fighters clashed with a supporting unit from the federal police and destroyed one of their vehicles.

Court sentences 9 men to death for 2011 vendetta shootings that killed 11 in Minya
“The al-Hatfieldullahs and the al-McCoyallahs have been feuding for two millennia, Effendi. The only thing we can do now is hang all of them and shoot the rest.”
[AlAhram] The Minya Criminal Court sentenced on Tuesday nine men to death for killing 11 others in a 2011 vendetta shooting in the governorate.

The court sentenced the nine men to death by hanging and one other to life in prison for the killings that took place in the city of Maghagha, located in the north of the governorate.

The victims were reportedly killed in retaliation for the killing and mutilation of one of the defendants’ relatives.

The court also sentenced another defendant in the trial to 15 years in prison.

Vendetta shootings and blood feuds between families or tribes are not uncommon in Upper Egypt. To deal with the violence the government has enlisted the help of religious institutions like al-Azhar, which launched an initiative for reconciliation between families.

17:00 Medvedev: LNR and DNR will not return to Ukraine

“Obvious nonsense and cheap projecting. The decisions about their fate of the Republic of Donbass were made final and will not return [to Ukraine]. This is unacceptable for everyone who remembers the fate of the Minsk agreements and the killing of civilians in the LPR and DPR.”

"About 30,000 killed Russian soldiers. More than 200 downed aircraft. Thousands of lost Russian tanks, armored vehicles and their other equipment. The Russian missile ammunition is almost completely used up. And they want to cover this up with a lie that they are allegedly fighting not at full strength? pitiful. And the time will come when they themselves will admit it."

22:59 The United States will not renew a key license for the Russian Federation, which expires on May 25 and which allowed Russia to make payments to American bondholders. This could bring Moscow closer to the brink of default, writes Reuters.

22:56 Zelensky, in an evening video message, announced the need to supply weapons: "The longer this war lasts, the greater will be the cost of protecting freedom not only for Ukraine, but for the entire free world. Therefore, the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine - multiple launch rocket systems, tanks , anti-ship and other weapons - this is the best investment in maintaining stability in the world and preventing many of the severe crises that Russia is still planning or has already provoked."

22:38 In Liman, Donetsk region, Russian troops either entered the outskirts of the city or captured half of it, Arestovich said on Feygin.Live. Also, according to him, the enemy is advancing in the Dronovka area, east of Liman, and plans to organize a crossing towards Seversk.

22:21 Military analyst, Professor Michael Clark said on Sky News that he expects the complete encirclement of Severodonetsk in the next 1-2 days. According to him, the Russian Federation "puts all its efforts into this particular part of the front."

"The Russians have effectively surrounded Severodonetsk, although not completely. Their northern and southern pincers to the west of the city are 10-12 miles [16-19 kilometers] apart. <...> But I expect they will close their ticks, their surroundings, in the next 24-48 hours," Clark said.

22:09 Zelensky said that on the eve of a special meeting of the European Council on May 30-31, he spoke with its head Charles Michel: "Aid to Ukraine will be a cross-cutting issue of the meeting. 21:51 In Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region, the invaders are introducing a "ruble zone", said the "acting mayor", collaborator Alexander Saulenko. According to him, as early as May 25, the payment of pensions in rubles will begin. The official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the ruble is set at 1:2.

21:49 The Russian occupiers in the last week have significantly stepped up their offensive in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Slowly, but the invader is advancing, creating a threat of encirclement of Ukrainian units in the area of Severodonetsk and Lysichansk. For more details, see What to Expect .

21:26 George Soros said in Davos that Russia's invasion of Ukraine may have been the beginning of the Third World War, so it is important for the West to defeat Putin: "The invasion could be the beginning of the Third World War, and our civilization may not survive it. Best and "perhaps the only way to save our civilization is to defeat Putin as quickly as possible. That's the point."

According to Soros, Putin, declaring that the "special operation" in Ukraine is going according to plan, is already aware that the invasion was a mistake, and is preparing to negotiate a ceasefire. "But a truce is unattainable because it cannot be trusted. The weaker Putin becomes, the more unpredictable he becomes," the billionaire added.

Kissinger also said that Ukraine must become a bridge between Russia and Europe, and the war must be completed within two months, otherwise its consequences will not be easily overcome.

Podolyak wrote on his Twitter: “Just as easily as Mr. Kissinger proposes to give part of Ukraine to Russia, he would allow Poland or Lithuania to be taken away. It’s good that Ukrainians in the trenches do not have time to listen to the advice of “Davos alarmists.” A little busy, defending freedom and democracy."

20:09 In Europe, there is growing support for a naval operation to export Ukrainian grain, which provides for the escort of bulk carriers by warships, including minesweepers, Estonian President Alar Karis said in an interview with Bloomberg during a forum in Davos. The Polish president recalled that Warsaw had transferred a large number of tanks to Ukraine. According to him, this weakened the military potential, and the country hoped for the support of NATO, the United States and Germany. He added that most of the tanks are German Leopards.

"If Germany supported us, if we received a replacement, then we would be very happy," Duda said, adding that the German government is doing too little to support Ukraine.

No one had much influence on the adoption of this decision."

I said then that he could be exchanged after the verdicts of the courts. Yes, technically this is possible."

19:27 Orban announced a state of emergency in Hungary, which will allow "immediate response" to the consequences of the situation in Ukraine, writes Bloomberg.

19:25 EU leaders at the May 30-31 summit will not be able to agree on the adoption of an embargo on Russian oil imports, Ursula von der Leyen said in an interview with Politico: "I think this is not an appropriate topic for a decision in the European Council, because what we very technical we are talking about landlocked countries that need alternative pipeline supply so you have to talk about investment in pipelines to increase supply and we are talking about refineries that need to be upgraded as well about investments and renewable energy sources".

Images from Maxar Technologies dated May 19 and 21 show the Russian ships Matros Pozinich and Matros Koshka, which are moored next to a grain silo. Grain is poured from the belt into the open hold. According to the ship tracking website MarineTraffic.com, both ships have left the port: Matros Pozinich is sailing in the Aegean Sea, while Matros Koshka is still in the Black Sea.

04:33 "Authorities" of the Kherson region will ask to place a Russian military base in the region, this will guarantee its security, said "deputy head of the military-civilian administration" Kirill Stremousov. He also stressed that the Kherson region does not plan to be a separate independent republic, "the goal is to become a subject of the Russian Federation."

03:16 The Russian language, along with the Ukrainian language, will receive the status of "state" in the Kherson region, said the "deputy head of the military-civil administration" Kirill Stremousov.

"The Russian language, along with Ukrainian, will become the state language in the Kherson region. The Russian language will become the main language for office work, communication and all issues of national importance. We do not prohibit the Ukrainian language and will not somehow play some kind of language stories," he specified he added that "the expediency of giving the status of the state language to the Crimean Tatar language, as it was done in Crimea, we will discuss in detail at a meeting with the community."

    Home Front: WoT
ISIS Plotting To Assassinate George W. Bush In Dallas
[Forbes] Two confidential informants and surveillance of the alleged plotter’s WhatsApp account reveal plans to smuggle assassins into the U.S. to murder the former president, according to a search warrant application discovered by Forbes.
Another jihadi idiot tells all to his BFFs in the FBI. With that level of emotional intelligence, it boggles the mind that they would try to pull off a Steele Dossier plot for six years, not to mention the rest of their unmitigated nonsense.
An Iraqi man in the U.S. accused of being linked to ISIS operatives was plotting to kill George W. Bush, going so far as to travel to Dallas in November to take video around the former president’s home and recruiting a team of compatriots he hoped to smuggle into the country over the Mexican border, according to an FBI search-warrant application filed March 23 and unsealed this week in the Southern District of Ohio.
All sorts of interesting things are quietly done in Cincinnati...
The FBI said it uncovered the scheme through the work of two confidential informants and surveillance of the alleged plotter’s account on the Meta-owned WhatsApp messaging platform. The suspect, Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab,
...his parents were completely unimaginative when it came to baby names, though they seem to have avoided the omnipresent variations on Mohammed...
based in Columbus, Ohio, said he wanted to assassinate Bush because he felt the former president was responsible for killing many Iraqis and breaking apart the country after the 2003 U.S. military invasion, according to the warrant.
Play stupid games, get your country destroyed. Or in the case of very former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein, get your entire bloodline killed off in a variety of uncomfortable ways...
The case shows how federal investigators continue to monitor threats from ISIS even as the group has been severely weakened by American intelligence and military operations in recent years. It also shows how the FBI, despite its claims of being prevented from investigating major crimes because of Meta and other tech providers’ use of encryption, has been able to work around WhatsApp security by using old-school policing with sourcing of informants and tracking the metadata they can get from the messaging company.

Shihab is an Iraqi national who’d been in the U.S. since 2020 and had an asylum application pending, according to the FBI’s search-warrant application. Federal agents used two different confidential sources to investigate the plot, one who claimed to offer assistance obtaining false immigration and identification documents, the second a purported customer of the alleged people smuggler, who was willing to pay thousands of dollars to bring his family into the country.

(As the criminal complaint against the suspect has not been made public, Forbes is not publishing the full warrant. According to NBC, he was arrested earlier today, a fact later confirmed by the Department of Justice.)

In November 2021, Shihab revealed to the FBI insider the plot to assassinate Bush and asked the confidential source if he knew how to “obtain replica or fraudulent police and/or FBI identifications and badges” to help carry out the killing, and whether it was possible to smuggle the plotters out of the country the same way they came in after their mission was complete, according to the warrant. The alleged smuggler said he also wanted to find and assassinate a former Iraqi general who helped Americans during the war and whom he believed was living under a fictitious identity in the U.S., investigators said.
Oh? The general’s idea or ours?
The alleged plotter claimed to be part of a unit called “Al-Raed,” meaning “Thunder,”
Oooohhh — too kewl for school!
that was led by a former Iraqi pilot for Saddam Hussein who had been based out of Qatar until his recent death, the warrant said. As many as seven members of the group would be sent to the U.S. to kill President Bush, according to a conversation described in the warrant, and the Shihab’s job was “to locate and conduct surveillance on former president Bush’s residences and/or offices and obtain firearms and vehicles to use in the assassination.”

After traveling to Dallas with the informant to take video of Bush’s residence, the accused took more footage at the George W. Bush Institute, according to federal agents.

Bush, a Republican who was in the news last week when he inadvertently referred to the U.S. invasion of Iraq in a speech about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, was president from 2001 to 2009.
Do Forbes readers really not know that? Or is it Forbes journalists who find the idea startling?
In one conversation with a confidential FBI source, the suspect said he was planning to get four Iraqi national males located in Iraq, Turkey, Egypt and Denmark into the U.S., according to the warrant. In a later conversation, he claimed that one of the four was “the secretary of an ISIS financial minister,” the FBI said. The alleged smuggler described the men as “former Baath Party members in Iraq who did not agree with the current Iraqi government and were political exiles,” the FBI said. He was planning to charge each $15,000 to be smuggled into America, the FBI said. The Baath Party was the political organization of Hussein, who was deposed in the 2003 U.S. invasion.

His plan, according to the warrant, was to get Mexican visitor visas for the ISIS operatives, using passport information he would send to the informant over WhatsApp, before getting them over the border.
This is why the illegal alien traffic across our southern border is filed under War on Terror. That’s the ocean in which our dear little jihadis swim.
Meanwhile, he was communicating with a contact in Egypt over a fake Facebook profile, which carried a profile picture of two individual hands each holding a rose, designed to look romantic and “not suspicious,” according to the FBI’s account. In 2021, the FBI got a warrant to search that Facebook account, though it’s unclear what they obtained.

Though Shihab seemed convinced his WhatsApp account was secure, he was unaware that the confidential sources were passing on messages to the FBI. Nor was he aware that starting in October he was using a phone that he was given by the informant at the FBI’s request. The informant noted that the target was a keen user of WhatsApp and was a member of Baath and ISIS chat groups on the app. In another conversation with an informant, the suspect claimed to have “been in recent communications with a friend in Qatar who was a former minister in Iraq under Saddam Hussein who had access to large quantities of money” and was messaging him over WhatsApp, the FBI said.

Also in the FBI court filing, the alleged plotter claimed to be a member of “the resistance” and had killed many Americans in Iraq between 2003 and 2006, packing vehicles with explosives and detonating them when U.S. soldiers were near.
You’re toast, buddy. And your little playmates, too.
    Deutsche Welle adds:
The 52-year-old Iraqi could face up to 30 years in prison and $500,000 in fines if convicted.

The 52-year-old arrived in the US in September 2020 on a visitor visa, and sought asylum in March 2021 after it expired.

    The FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
had informants contact him shortly after his asylum application and until this month, according to the complaint.
More from The Times of Israel:
Shihab was ordered held without bond by federal Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Preston Deavers during a short hearing in court Tuesday. Deavers scheduled a detention hearing for Friday.

Shihab was not required to enter a plea. Soumyajit Dutta, a federal public defender representing Shihab at the hearing, declined to comment.

Shihab worked at restaurants in and around Columbus and also at a market in Indianapolis where he had an apartment, the government said.

Shihab met a confidential informant a Columbus hotel room in March to examine weapons and US border patrol uniforms, according to the complaint. Shihab allegedly planned to use a Columbus car dealership to help transfer money from an Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
    official into the US

Last fall, Shihab accepted thousands of dollars for what he thought was payment for him to smuggle another Iraqi citizen into the US, according to the complaint, but the transaction was entirely coordinated by the FBI.

    Well, he's not wrong.

It also shows how the FBI, despite its claims of being prevented from investigating major crimes because of Meta and other tech providers’ use of encryption, has been able to work around WhatsApp security by using old-school policing

Interesting. So the criticism they've been getting for relying on spying instead of investigating is hurting them, so they had to trot out a patsy to show that they're doing their jobs. Keep up the heat, everyone.

    Briefly about Ukraine 24.05.2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

    [ColonelCassad] 1. Svetlodarsk.
Today, the entire Svetlodarsk arc collapsed. The operational factor that existed for 7 years was dissolved in 1 day. The troops liberated Svetlodarsk, Lugansk. The enemy is still holding Novoluganskoye, but there are signs of preparations for a further withdrawal of troops. The enemy also lost the villages of Vozrozhdenie and Roty. To Artemovsk - 15-20 kilometers.

    2. Artemovsk.
There is no assault on the city yet, although the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city are already being fired upon by our artillery. The enemy is preparing the city for defense, and is also trying to hold on to Pilipchatino, preparing to withdraw to Pokrovsky, where he is preparing for a longer defense.

    3. Soledar.
Fighting continued near Novaya Kamenka, Stryapovka and in the direction of Yakovlevka. There is no assault on Soledar yet. The road north of Soledar is increasingly being bombarded by artillery. The enemy admits supply problems, but continues to use the Soledar-Lysichansk highway.

    4. Avdievka.
The DPR army announced that it would not storm Avdievka head-on, but would occupy it bypassing and blocking Avdievka. Now the fighting is going on in the area of Kamenka, Novselovka-2 and Krasnogorovka. Fighting also continues on the outskirts of New York.

    5. Gorskoe-Zolotoe.
The cleansing of Kamyshevakhi and the fighting on the southern outskirts of Zolote continue. Fighting continues in Toshkovka. It is reported that Lipovoye has been occupied by our troops. The position of the enemy in the Gorsko-Zolotoy fortified area worsened again.

    6. Severdonetsk.
Fighting continues on the outskirts of the city. The enemy also reports the resumption of active fighting near Belogorovka, which implies that the Russian Armed Forces have accumulated forces on the other side of the Seversky Donets to resume fighting for the village. The loss of Belogorovka threatens to quickly cut off Severdonetsk and Lisichansk from the main group.

    7. Slavyansk.
During the day, the battles for Krasny Liman continued. More than half of the city has been liberated. The enemy suffered heavy losses in killed and captured. It can be expected that the remnants of the AFU grouping in Krasny Liman will soon retreat beyond the Seversky Donets. Krasny Lyman will most likely be taken within 1-3 days.

    8. Izyum.
Fighting continued in the area of Kamyshevakhi, Dolgenkiy and Kurulka. The enemy notes that the RF Armed Forces are now accumulating forces in this direction to develop the offensive. Attempts to counterattack the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the flank of the Izyum group were not successful.

    9. Kharkov.
Fighting continued on the lines of Cossack Lopan, Liptsy, Ternovaya, Rubizhnoye. In general, tendencies towards positionality prevail here.

    10. Marinka, Zaporozhye, Vuhledar, Nikolaev and Odessa - no change.
In the medium term, an intensification of hostilities is expected in the Zaporizhia and Nikolaev directions, as well as new attempts by Ukraine to attack Serpent Island.

    More on Svetlodarsk
    Svetlodarsk liberated

[ColonelCassad] Good news in the morning.

The city of Svetlodarsk was liberated. Like Mironovskoye, Svetlodarsk was liberated by Wagner PMC.

Under the threat of encirclement (after the loss of Troitsky and Mironovsky), the enemy was forced to abandon their positions in the Svetlodarsk area and retreat in the direction of Artemovsk. Yesterday an unsuccessful attempt was made to blow up the dam of the Uglegorsk TPP.

Thus, today the Svetlodarskaya Bulge, which existed for more than seven years and which could not be cut off during the battle for Debaltseve in 2015, is gone. Then there were plans for a large cauldron, which assumed a large cauldron in the direction of Artemovsk.

As a result, only a small boiler was obtained after breaking through Uglegorsk and closing the ring at Logvinovo (and even then, part of the APU grouping was able to escape with vegetable gardens). After 7 years, the Svetlodar fortified area somehow routinely came under the control of our troops without big fights.

    Government Corruption
Pete Buttigieg, in Europe, Says U.S. Backs ‘Marshall Plan' to Rebuild Ukraine
[Breitbart] Gee thanks, Butt-Gig. Graft opportunities for the Biden Crime Family will abound
Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg told the UK Guardian this week while in Europe that the U.S. backs a plan to rebuild war-torn Ukraine after Russia withdraws with a "Marshall Plan" that will involve billions of dollars in aid.
Having failed completely as secretary of transportation, is he about to be Peter Principled into the secretary of state job?
Buttigieg was in Europe for a meeting of transportation ministers from all over the world — though the U.S. is suffering supply chain shortages, a baby formula crisis, and jammed cargo ports that theoretically fall within Buttigieg’s portfolio.
    See? Failed.
The idea of a "Marshall Plan" has been championed by former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko, whose tenure was widely associated with corruption, leading to the election in 2019 of current president Volodymyr Zelensky in protest.

It is unclear how the U.S. and other donor nations would monitor the disbursement of aid funds to the notoriously corrupt nation. A recent U.S. military aid bill offering $40 billion in new spending lacked oversight by an inspector general.

Butgigieg told the Guardian: ""With the memory of the Marshall plan in mind, what we’re talking about is not only about how we fund immediate needs and support their ability to maintain the war effort, but how we support the ability of Ukraine to be economically viable and generate a sustainable future for themselves, even as they’re under attack."

Buttigieg argued that spending money on rebuilding transportation in Ukraine was necessary to alleviate global food and fertilizer shortages.

"The Centre for Defence Strategies, a Ukraine-based think tank, said Russian troops were advancing across the Donbas at high speed and were within a mile of the supply line to Severodonetsk....

Rochan Consulting, a military analyst, said Ukrainian defensive lines “had crumbled near Popasna, Lyman and Severodonetsk” in recent days. "Attacks near Severodonetsk have gathered pace since Sunday. Russian forces are on the verge of entering the city,” it said on Tuesday.

Franz-Stefan Gady, of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, said ending Kyiv’s control of the road would “massively complicate” Ukrainian attempts to resupply forces in the Donbas.

“Russian forces are slowly but methodically advancing and are systematically trying to cut off Ukrainian forces from their supply lines,” he said.

“The situation for Ukrainian forces is increasingly becoming critical as there is mounting anecdotal evidence that they are running low on ammunition, fuel and other supplies in the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk area.”

Zelensky told Ukrainians today that even though things are collapsing for them, they "should be proud" of what they've managed to accomplish. This is the kind of speech a coach gives to his players after they've lost: "no reason to hang your heads," "you ought to be very proud" and so on. He's not even talking about "victory" anymore.

#20  Interesting: a new proposal in Ukraine's legislature (Verkhovna Rada) aims to remove a sentence in existing law stipulating that commanders may not cause death to servicemen when attempting to stop insubordination or desertion.

Evidently there's now a great deal of mutiny and desertion in the Ukrainian ranks -- understandable, given that they're press-ganging the halt lame & elderly into their depleted ranks and sending them off to be slaughtered in Mariupol or Severodonetsk. Link to the proposed legislation:

#21  In one of today’s translated liveblogs — Korrespondent or News Front Info — it is reported that at Davos one of the EU VIPs spoke about using confiscated Russian assets to pay for rebuilding Ukraine. An interesting trial balloon, if that’s what it is, but it’s always pleasanter to pay with other people’s money than one’s own.

#22  I like what Milton Freidman said:

    1) You can spend your own money on yourself.
If you spend your own money on yourself, you’re very careful on what you spend it on. You make sure you get the most for your dollar.

    2) You can spend your own money on someone else.
When you spend your own money on someone else, you’re careful on not spending too much. You don’t worry as much about the gifts you buy for other people as the things you buy for yourself.

    3) You can spend somebody else’s money on yourself.
You’re careful to get good things for the money. But you’re not very worried about getting the best bang for your buck. You’re happier to spend more of somebody else’s money within reason.

    4) You can spend somebody else’s money on somebody else.
You become a “distributor of welfare funds.” You’re interested in making your own life as good as you can. But you’re not going to be anywhere near as careful as spending this money on other people.

    #33  Indian diplomat MK Bhadrakumar:

The Western narrative that Russia is facing defeat at the hands of the Ukrainian military is falling apart. The contrived narrative that Ukraine was “winning” made Kiev delusional which in turn created conditions for Washington and London to extend the war and incrementally enter into it laterally and turn it into a war of attrition against Russia.

In reality the Russian forces are now close to establishing full control of the Luhansk region of Donbass. The Ukrainian governor of the eastern region admitted on Tuesday that “The Russians are advancing in all directions at the same time; they brought over an insane number of fighters and equipment.” The situation is looking increasingly precarious for the Ukrainian forces. (Listen to the podcast The Battlefields of the Donbass and Beyond, War on the Rocks)

The key signposts are Popasnaya and Severodonetsk in Donbass and the city of Izyum just to the north in the Kharkiv region. Popasnaya and Izyum are under Russian control already while Russian troops entered Severodonetsk yesterday. ...
    Posted by: Slineling Chusong5031 || 05/25/2022 16:48 Comments || Top||

#34  ...The next big target in the Russian sights is Slovyansk. Controlling it would enable Russian forces to drive west and link up with the forces pushing south-east of Izyum. The objective is to control the supply lines by road and block Ukrainian access to rail routes from the west. Ten Ukrainian brigades were deployed in the east when the war began in February, which were regarded as the best-equipped and best-trained soldiers that Kiev has.

Indeed, the fall of Mariupol to the Russian military represents a turning point. Russia now has a land corridor to Crimea and has ended Crimea’s water and power blockade. The freshwater canal connecting the Dnieper River to the arid Crimean Peninsula is now in Russia’s hands. So is a nuclear power station to the north of the peninsula, not to mention the power grid in southeastern Ukraine which can be now connected to Russia. These are strategic gains for Russia.

Beyond Donbass and Crimea, Russia might have other objectives too in the southern region. There have been demands — at the local level so far — for merger of the southern regions of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv with Crimea (Russia), which have large Russian population. Some degree of integration of this region with Russia seems to have begun.

In Kherson region, Russian currency ruble has been introduced; Russian, along with Ukrainian, will become a state language and will become the main language for office work, communication and all issues of national importance; teaching in schools and universities will be conducted in Russian. The authorities of the Kherson Region have voiced the demand for establishment of a Russian military base in the region.

Iraq's Intelligence Agency arrested terrorists in Baghdad, Diyala, and Kirkuk

On Tuesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 13 "terrorists" in the governorates of Baghdad, Diyala, and Kirkuk.

The Security Media Cell said, "The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency launched security operations in Baghdad and other governorates and arrested nine bandidos forces of Evil in the capital, one of whom worked in the so-called "security sector of Fallujah."

This terrorist fled outside the country in 2016. He has three brothers who worked with ISIS and were killed during the liberation operations."

According to the Cell, the Agency also arrested two bandidos forces of Evil in Diyala and another in Kirkuk who worked in the so-called Diwan al-Jund."

In 2017, Iraq declared final victory over ISIS after Iraqi forces drove its last remnants from the country; the bad boy group captured about a third of Iraq's territory. The war has had a devastating impact on the areas previously controlled by the bad boys. About 3.2 million people remain displaced.

Yet, ISIS still has sleeper cells in several Iraqi Governorates.

Recently, the terrorist organization has become more active, as sleeper cells target civilians and security forces, especially in the governorates of Kirkuk,

Iraqi forces shot down a drone near Baghdad airport, SMC confirms

The Security Media Cell confirmed, on Tuesday, that the Iraqi forces shot down a drone near the Baghdad International airport.

The Cell said in a statement that the drone did not get authorization to reach the area.

Iraqi forces repel a drone attack on a US support area in Baghdad

Iraqi forces repelled earlier today a drone attack on the US diplomatic support area in the Baghdad international airport, a security source reported.

The source told Shafaq News agency that the security forces shot down a drone that attempted to target the US diplomatic support area in the Baghdad international airport, which hosts US and foreign personnel.

He noted that no casualties were recorded.

Earlier today, a security source reported that an attack targeted the US Victory Complex military base near Baghdad International Airport.

A security source told Shafaq News agency that it might be a drone or a missile attack, noting that the air defense system was activated in the base.

Bases hosting the Coalition units are constantly attacked since the liquidation of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani
    .

Washington accuses pro-Iranian factions of being behind such attacks.
    Rudaw adds:
According to data compiled by Rudaw English, at least eleven rocket and drone attacks were reported on bases and facilities housing US forces and personnel in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region since the start of the year.

Uvalde, Texas school shooting: 18 students, one adult killed, suspected shooter dead
[FoxNews] Salvador Ramos,18, killed multiple children and a teacher at an elementary school in Uvalde, a small city located 80 miles west of San Antonio, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said

A mass shooting at a Texas elementary school killed 18 children and one teacher Tuesday and the suspected gunman was killed, Gov. Greg Abbott said.

Abbott identified the suspect as Salvador Ramos, a Uvalde resident, who is also dead and acted alone, authorities said. He had a handgun and possibly a rifle when he opened fire at Robb Elementary School, he said. Two police officers were shot and wounded but were expected to survive, Abbott said.

"Texans across the state are grieving for the victims of this senseless crime and for the community of Uvalde. Cecilia and I mourn this horrific loss and we urge all Texans to come together to show our unwavering support to all who are suffering," he said in a statement.

The shooter was likely killed by responding officers but the investigation was still ongoing, authorities said.

As the incident unfolded, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told Fox News that the shooter had become barricaded inside. The school, located 80 miles west of San Antonio, serves students in the second, third and fourth grades.
PJ Media was liveblogging the story, and adds:
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott identified the shooter as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, a student at the local high school.

According to reports, Ramos first killed his grandmother and then proceeded to the school, where he began shooting. He eventually barricaded himself in a room and was later killed by police.

The gunman who slaughtered 19 kids and two teachers at a Texas elementary school reportedly exhibited increasingly bizarre behavior leading up to the rampage – including cutting up his face with knives just “for fun,” friends said.

Gunman Salvador Ramos’ friend Santos Valdez Jr., 18, said the two had been close, playing video games and basketball regularly, until his friend’s behavior began to “deteriorate,” the Washington Post reported.

At one point, he recounted, Ramos showed up at a park with scratch marks across his face and said he had been attacked by a cat.

“Then he told me the truth, that he’d cut up his face with knives over and over and over,” Valdez told the newspaper

“I was like, ‘You’re crazy, bro, why would you do that?’” he said. Ramos told him it was just “for fun,” Valdez said.

From the Russian Perspective: Operation on Denazification of Ukraine: operational summary May 24th (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFrontInfo] 21:59 Since March 2, the Russian Federation has delivered 22,430.8 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

21:59 According to information received from captured Ukrainian servicemen, SBU officers, at the suggestion of Western curators, prepared another provocation at grain storage facilities in the cities of Rubizhne, LPR and Orekhov, Zaporozhye region. The goal is to accuse Russian military personnel of allegedly indiscriminate strikes on civilian infrastructure.

17:28 The Russian military for the first time used the latest Su-57 in operations in Ukraine.

What you need to know about the latest fifth generation fighter?

▪️The Russian Su-57 surpasses all similar foreign models - the F-22 from the USA and the J-20 from China.

▪️Armament - 15 types of the latest air-to-air, air-to-surface missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhals.

▪️Its "chip" is artificial intelligence, which allows the Su-57 to independently perform 90 percent of the tasks.

▪️Another plus is its cost, which is several times lower than that of the American F-22 - $164 million against $410 million per unit.

Charlie Kirk interviews Jack Posobiec after he's detained by WEF police
[PostMillennial] Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec appeared on the Charlie Kirk Show on Monday following his detention at the World Economic Forum (WEF) event in Davos, Switzerland.

Posobiec says that he had shown police his passports and press badge an hour prior, and said that he was asked by authorities what Turning Point USA was, and why they were in Davos.Posobiec told Kirk that authorities asked him to turn over video and tried to separate him from his crew, but he did not do so.

"Never once did they explain to us why we were targeted. I want to be clear on something, we had already given our name, our passport, and our press pass, about an hour prior," said Posobiec who then speculated that authorities had independently looked him and his team up after showing them their info.

"We have the First Amendment within the United States of America, however, I am not in the confines of the United States of America right here. So, these police have the ability if they want to, to confiscate things from us... confiscate our cards, start deleting things, and before we can even get legal involved, they could have taken down all of the footage that we've already filmed today for this project... this docuseries to go along with the book that's coming out that's called 'The Great Global Reset.'"

Unlike the experience @JackPosobiec had at #DAVOS, we spent a lot of time with reporters at #CPACHungary. @breeadail https://t.co/eKLNlhba56 pic.twitter.com/nktzlHc2NA— Matt Schlapp (@mschlapp) May 23, 2022

"We've been filming all day for this, we've been doing live vids, my own Human Events podcast, and the idea that they would come in, take down all of the stuff that we were doing, delete it, and the potential detain me even further. My wife wasn't with me, my brother wasn't with me, we didn't know where everybody was, I didn't even know when the next time I'd be able to get contact out, because again they do not have the First Amendment here, they do not have freedom of the press the same way we do in the United States, with that kind of latitude."

"Unfortunately where you are right now, the most dangerous thing where you are is the government," said Kirk in response, saying that the US wanted to put a similar system in place.

Posobiec signed off from his appearance by giving a direct message to WEF chairman Klaus Schwab, saying: "Mr. Schwab, we're not going anywhere."

    This is bullshit, #FREEPOSO https://t.co/iIavOSmULE
