Let's see 1.1 RUBLE's equal 0.02 USD cents.
A Russian metric ton of grain depending on the region & grade selling for between 15,800 and 17,900 rubles or about $316 to $354 a metric ton.

US Grain is $350.45 a metric ton, up from $174.64 during Trump's admin.

How do we buy Russian Gain and save a few bucks 🤓?

#1  Ha ha. Stupid term, I know.

The security establishment classifies 'hybrid terrorists' as those not officially registered with any jama'at seminary markaz or ISI daftar as fidayeen, but radicalised enough to carry out a terror strike and then slip back into routine life. Like individual sleeper operators, assholes who have been recognized as 'worthy' and await instructions. Not exactly lone wolves, which are assholes who attain worth only after doing something and handlers just push them into ... anything. Hybrids have purpose. They aren't trained enough for taking on soldiers, just killing civs or key community figures, that sort of thing.

The Resistance Front is what's churning them out, with monetary incentives and promises of finding them nubile young girlies in PoK for their troubles.

Even I wanted them to be minotaurs with moslem beards. Woulda been entertaining at least, right?

3 LeT hybrid terrorists arrested in Sopore: Police

Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three hybrid faceless myrmidons of Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
oufit in Sopore area of north Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....

News agency GNS quoted a police front man saying the accused Rahid Mushtaq Ganie son of Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie resident of Amargarh, Amir Shafqat Mir son of Mohammad Shafi Mir resident of Amargarh and Tahir Nisar Sheikh son of Nisar Ahmad Sheikh resident of Baag e Rehmat Sopore were intercepted by a joint naka party comprising PC Sopore, 52 RR ,177BN CRPF at Takyabal Krankshivan Jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo at 18:40 hrs.

The police front man further stated that the trio coming from Dharnambal towards Takyabal tried to flee from the spot but the security forces apprehended them "tactfully". During search two pistols, two magazines, 10 pistol rounds, 01 hand grenade, 01 Ak 47 rifle were recovered from their possession, police said.

"Preliminary investigation revealed the arrested individuals are uncategorised faceless myrmidons of LeT, who were planing to attack security forces and civilians. Accordingly case under relevant sections has been lodged at Police Station Tarzoo, further investigation is still going on," it added.

Former Top Obama Advisor David Axelrod Shreds Biden, Says He's 'Not in Command'
[RS] The man who masterminded both successful presidential campaigns for former President Obama, strategist David Axelrod, has harsh words for the current Commander-in-Chief saying, "There is this sense that things are kind of out of control and he’s not in command." Appearing on CNN’s "The Lead with Jake Tapper" Thursday, he added, "so, you know, this is a very, very fraught environment for him right now."

The first question that pops into my mind is, does this have Obama’s blessing? It’s hard to imagine that Axelrod, now a CNN commentator, would criticize the Democratic Party’s standard-bearer without running it first by his former boss. My second question is, how long does this guy want to work at CNN? Because if he keeps spouting off like this, he’s bound to upset some folks at the left-leaning network who have been covering for Biden since day one of his presidency. Paging Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy...

-War on Police-
Homicide Clearance Rates Collapse
[HotAir] The next time someone tries to tell you that rising crime rates, particularly for violent crimes, is all some sort of political narrative invented by Republicans in an election year (we’re looking at you, Lori Lightfoot), you can point them to this analysis conducted by CBS News in Baltimore, Maryland. It’s not just your imagination. Violent crimes have continued to rise in frequency, particularly homicides. This awful trend is not just happening in Baltimore, however. It’s showing up in large cities across the country. And to make matters worse, we’re solving far fewer of these killings than we used to. At some point, something is going to have to give.

Baltimore has seen so much pain, with more than 1,500 people killed in the past five years. More than half of those killings remain unsolved.

WJZ, in collaboration with CBS News, is examining a crime often going without punishment in our country. The national homicide clearance rate is at an all-time low, according to FBI data. In the mid-1960s more than 90% of murders were solved, generally resulting in an arrest. By 1990, the percentage fell into the 60’s. Then, by 2020, as the number of homicides surged, the national clearance rate dropped to about 50% for the first time ever.

Our analysis with CBS News also discovered differences by race. The national homicide rate for white victims keeps improving. The rate of solving murders for Black and Hispanic victims is much lower.

Those are some stark numbers. It’s almost hard to believe that we had a 90% clearance rate for murders in the 1960s. Now the national average is down to around 50%. In the city of Baltimore, it’s even worse. The homicide clearance rate there has plunged to 42% even as they are setting records for the number of murders recorded per year. But that’s still an improvement over the 29.7% clearance rate they recorded in 2015. That means that at least half of the people who murder someone are getting away with it and that applies to more than half of the gunmen in Charm City.

Also, as noted in the linked report, the outcomes are not evenly distributed along racial lines. Black and Hispanic people are killed in disproportionately higher numbers when measured against their percentage of the total population. Those figures are largely driven by gang violence in the cities, as we’ve discussed here in the past. But their killers are significantly less likely to be arrested than those who murder white people. The national homicide clearance rate for white victims is nearly 90%. For Black victims, it’s barely 55%.

So why is this happening? How did we get so bad at solving murder cases? CBS asked Governor Larry Hogan and he said that “We’re not prosecuting enough people, and we’re not sentencing enough people.” He pointed out that last year Baltimore prosecuted 30 people out of 300 murders. That seems to be factually true, but it doesn’t answer the question of why.

One factor may be the reality that there simply aren’t enough trained officers to work the tougher murder cases. In New York City, hundreds of detectives (the class of officers typically assigned to solve murder cases) have quit in frustration in the last year alone. We don’t have any figures for detectives in Baltimore, but we do know that the ranks of the police are down overall.

#2  That seems to be factually true, but it doesn’t answer the question of why.

You have no problem blaming one community for slavery that ended over a 150 years ago. You are absolutely silent about the community that is responsible for nearly all of today's killing. You ask why?
Posted by: Procopius2k || 07/02/2022 8:19 Comments || Top||

#3  The clearance rate is low wherever there is mistrust between the police and community. Same situation when we occupied Iraq and Afghanistan.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Rights group says Palestinians torture detainees with impunity
[AnNahar] Paleostinian authorities in the West Bank and the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip systematically torture critics in detention, a practice that could amount to crimes against humanity, an international rights group said Friday.

Human Rights Watch called in its report for donor countries to cut off funding to Paleostinian security forces that commit such crimes and urged the International Criminal Court to investigate.

The report alleged that Paleostinian security forces "use solitary confinement and beatings, including whipping their feet, and force detainees into painful stress positions for prolonged periods, including hoisting their arms behind their backs with cables or rope, to punish and intimidate critics and opponents and elicit confessions."

HRW's report comes a year after the death of Nizar Banat, an outspoken critic of the Paleostinian Authority, whose family says he died after security forces stormed his residence in the middle of the night and beat him with metal batons. His death sparked weeks of protests against the PA, which governs parts of the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Paleostinian security forces violent mostly peacefully dispersed some of those protests..

Amnesia Amnesty International said last week that the Paleostinian Authority has failed to hold its security forces accountable for the death. Paleostinian authorities arrested 14 officers last summer and are trying them in a military court, but have taken no action against top commanders.

"More than a year after beating to death Nizar Banat, the Paleostinian Authority continues to arrest and torture critics and opponents," said Omar Shakir, Israel and Paleostine director at Human Rights Watch.

"Systematic abuse by the PA and Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", forms a critical part of the repression of the Paleostinian people."

The group listed Paleostinians who it said had been arbitrarily arrested in the aftermath of Banat's death.

HRW said security forces are not held to account for the alleged torture and that given their systematic nature over many years, the practice could amount to crimes against humanity.

Paleostine is part of the Convention Against Torture, which requires members to work to prevent torture.

The report also describes Israeli mistreatment and torture of Paleostinian detainees in the West Bank, saying that no indictments have been issued against Israeli security forces despite hundreds of complaints made over the last 20 years.

New Zealand designates US far-right group Proud Boys a terrorist organization
[IsraelTimes] Despite not being active in the country, Wellington cites group’s role in Jan. 6 insurrection, as country has become more attuned to threats following Christchurch massacre.

New Zealand’s government has declared that American far-right groups the Proud Boys and The Base are terrorist organizations.

The two groups join 18 others, including the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group, that have been given an official terrorist designation, making it illegal in New Zealand to fund, recruit or participate in the groups, and obligating authorities to take action against them.

The US groups are not known to be active in New Zealand, although the South Pacific nation has become more attuned to threats from the far right after a white supremacist shot and killed 51 Moslem worshippers at two Christchurch mosques in 2019.

The New Zealand massacre inspired other white supremacists around the world, including a white gunman who killed 10 Black people at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, in May.

In the US, the State Department only lists foreign groups as terrorist entities. But the Proud Boys were last year named a terrorist group in Canada, while The Base has previously been declared a terrorist group in Britannia, Canada and Australia.

In a 29-page explanation of the Proud Boys designation published Thursday, New Zealand authorities said the group’s involvement in the violent mostly peaceful attack on the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021, amounted to an act of terrorism.

The statement said that while several militia groups were involved, it was the Proud Boys who incited crowds, coordinated attacks on law enforcement officers and led other rioters to where they could break into the building.

The statement said there are unlinked but ideologically affiliated chapters of the Proud Boys operating in Canada and Australia.

New Zealand authorities argued that before the Capitol attack, the Proud Boys had a history of using street rallies and social media to intimidate opponents and recruit young men through demonstrations of violence. It said the group had put up various smoke screens to hide its extremism.

Earlier this month, the former leader of the Proud Boys, Henry "Enrique" Tarrio, and four others linked to the group were charged in the US with seditious conspiracy for what federal prosecutors say was a coordinated attack on the Capitol.

The indictment alleges that the Proud Boys conspired to forcibly oppose the lawful transfer of presidential power. The five are scheduled to stand trial in August in Washington, DC’s federal court.

Nowcast by Atlanta Fed Reserve says Q2 had negative growth
This is directly from the Fed Reserve - not a 'journalist', so it is technical
The GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the second quarter of 2022 is -1.0 percent on June 30, down from 0.3 percent on June 27. After recent releases from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis and the US Census Bureau, the nowcasts of second-quarter real personal consumption expenditures growth and real gross private domestic investment growth decreased from 2.7 percent and -8.1 percent, respectively, to 1.7 percent and -13.2 percent, respectively, while the nowcast of the contribution of the change in real net exports to second-quarter GDP growth increased from -0.11 percentage points to 0.35 percentage points

-Great Cultural Revolution
More ‘MEN’ Triggered
Oh dear. Darwin is winning all over the place.
[PJMedia] I don’t want to denigrate anyone’s manhood. After all, there’s a lot more to being a man than simply having the ability to impregnate a woman birthing person. And while there are plenty of reasons for a man to undergo a vasectomy, most of them are unrelated to health.

That might explain the rush by men to see urologists to get snipped. The Washington Post says that urologists report a significant spike in requests for vasectomies in the wake of the Supreme Court decision Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s birthing persons Health Organization.

"It is something I put on the back-burner of my mind until very recently, when the Supreme Court decision happened," Thomas Figueroa, 27, who lives in Tampa and told the Post that he never wanted children. "That was basically the triggering factor right there. It pushed my mind to say: ’Okay, I really do not want children. I’m going to get this vasectomy now.’ "

"Triggered" by Dobbs? What has happened to American men?
So he didn't want to be responsible for his actions. Make the birthing person go through the abortion.
Figueroa registered for a vasectomy with Doug Stein, a urologist known as the "Vasectomy King" for his advocacy of the procedure.

Stein said that before Friday, he received four or five vasectomy requests a day. Since the court’s decision was announced, that number has spiked to 12 to 18 requests per day.
Good for them.
"It was very, very noticeable Friday, and then the number that came in over the weekend was huge and the number that is still coming in far exceeds what we have experienced in the past," Stein told The Post."Many of the guys are saying that they have been thinking about a vasectomy for a while, and the Roe v. Wade decision was just that final factor that tipped them over the edge and made them submit the online registration."

It’s a good time to be the ruler of Vasectomyland.

Ideas and ideals of manhood have changed a lot. Being "triggered" is apparently so acceptable that men aren’t ashamed or embarrassed to admit to their triggering.

That said, a man choosing vasectomy — a mostly irreversible procedure — does so for a variety of reasons.

Biden mixes up Switzerland, Sweden, jokes he's 'anxious' about NATO growth
[NYPOST] Well, they do start with the same letter …
Bleh. Ever heard a Swede try to yodel?
President Biden announced Thursday that he had called the leader of Switzerland to discuss abandoning two centuries of neutrality to join NATO — before quickly correcting himself to say he actually meant Sweden.

“Some of the American press will remember when I got a phone call from the leader of Finland saying could he come and see me, then he came the next day and said, ‘Will you support my joining — my country joining NATO?’ We got the telephone. He suggested we call the leader of Switzerland,” Biden said.

The president immediately fixed his mistake, adding, “Switzerland, my goodness, I’m getting really anxious here about expanding NATO — of Sweden.”

Biden was speaking at a press conference in Madrid following a NATO summit at which Finland and Sweden were officially invited to join the military alliance in response to the more than four-month-old Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Sweden had been neutral in Europe’s various military engagements since the Napoleonic Wars in the early 1800s, during which it had lost control of Finland to Russia.

The Grand Turk
Iranian plot in Turkey reportedly targeted Israel’s ex-consul to Istanbul
[IsraelTimes] Yossi Levi-Sfari and his partner named in Ottoman Turkish media as the targets of a foiled plan by Tehran to kidnap and murder them.

An Iranian plot to attack Israelis centered on targeting former Israel’s consul general to Istanbul Yossi Levi-Sfari, according to the Ottoman Turkish Sabah news outlet.

According to the report, the Iranian attackers were staying in the same hotel as Levi-Sfari and his partner, Ronny Goldberg, and planned to kidnap and then execute the two men.

The Hurriyet Ottoman Turkish site reported that the Mossad learned at the last minute that a handful of Iranian agents were staying in the hotel and worked together with local Ottoman Turkish authorities to foil the attack and whisk Levi-Sfari and Goldberg back to Israel.

The IHA news outlet said that seven of the eight Iranian nationals arrested as part of the plot appeared in a Ottoman Turkish courthouse on Thursday. The men were reportedly arrested with several pistols and silencers that were confiscated by Ottoman Turkish police.

News of the foiled plot first broke in Ottoman Turkish media a week ago, the same day that Foreign Minister Yair Lapid — who became prime minister on Friday — landed in Ankara for a diplomatic visit.

According to senior Israeli officials, significant intelligence had indicated that Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
was seeking to carry out attacks against Israeli tourists in the country to avenge a series of killings and strikes on Iranian military and nuclear targets that have been attributed to the Jewish state.

A security bigshot briefing Hebrew media earlier this month said that the Mossad and local counterparts thwarted three Iranian attacks targeting Israeli civilians in Istanbul in recent weeks.

The security official said Mossad intelligence had led Ottoman Turkish authorities to 10 members of an Iranian cell who were allegedly planning to kidnap and murder a former Israeli ambassador to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and his partner.

In the wake of the arrests and Lapid’s visit, Israel on Tuesday lowered its security warning to Turkey to level 3, or moderate, after it had been at its highest level amid weeks of threats and warnings of imminent Israeli attacks.

The National Security Council warned that Iran’s motivation to carry out attacks remains high and that it assesses that "there are efforts to build infrastructure on the one hand and identify potential Israeli and Jewish targets on the other hand."

Operation to Denazify Ukraine: Operational Brief July 1 (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate.

[NewsFrontInfo] 22:26 A total of 297 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit by Russian operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery.

21:24 "If World War III starts, a huge number of American citizens will die in it, and NATO will be to blame. Nothing threatens us, no nation can invade the USA. And if we do not threaten others, there is no real danger of war. Ordinary Americans have nothing to gain from the endless wars we wage under the auspices of NATO and our allies.

And it is important to understand that when the fireball rises, government officials will take refuge and the world's oligarchs will take refuge in underground cities, but everyone else will be burned by their stupidity. We will have to thank NATO for the death of Western civilization": Former US Senator, retired colonel Richard Black - about the real threat to peace

20:10 The governor of the Kursk region reported damage to several houses in the village of Tetkino bordering Ukraine. There were no casualties, the extent of damage is being assessed.

14:30 Ukraine received 70,000 anti-tank weapons from the West. About a third of them have been destroyed or lost. According to "Come and See", more and more of these installations fall into service with the RF Armed Forces as trophy ones.

“About 70 thousand ATGMs and ATGMs. But a third has already been lost. Either destroyed, or went to the Russians, ”said the source of the channel.

According to the denominations of weapons and deliveries in service with the Ukrainian army:

  • up to 10,000 Javelin installations and missiles for them;

  • up to 7,000 NLAW installations;

  • up to 24,000 obsolete installations of the Soviet and other types, as well as ammunition for them.

In addition, Ukrainian ATGMs "Stugna" are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the Ukrainian army is the most saturated with ATGMs and ATGMs in the world.

12:34 The Russian Armed Forces destroyed two command posts, five ammunition depots, manpower and equipment in 26 districts with high-precision weapons.

12:34 Aviation, missile forces and artillery hit 32 command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a radar station for detecting air targets near Odessa.

12:34 Russian air defense systems shot down two Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Kharkiv region.

12:33 The failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provoke an increase in the number of deserters and draft dodgers, there is an unorganized withdrawal of individual units of the Lysichansk troops.

12:33 The Ukrainian army in the Lisichansk region lost about 200 people in a day.
Likely an inflated number.
12:33 The RF Armed Forces took control of the Lisichansk Oil Refinery, the Matrosskaya mine, the gelatin plant, and the settlement of Topolevka in three days.

11:46 Snake Island in the Black Sea remains under the control of the fleet and the Aerospace Forces of Russia, State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Alexei Chernyak told RIA Novosti.

10:43 In the village of Aleksandrovka in the Slavyansk region, powerful arrivals by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Troops at this moment. The village itself has long been occupied by the Armed Forces. The nationalists set up their positions in the local school, club and repair base.

08:39 The main results of the SVO in Ukraine for June 30, 2022

- The RF Armed Forces hit the enemy positions in the Sumy region.
- Positional battles continue in the north of the Kharkiv region. As a result of the missile strike of the RF Armed Forces on Kharkov, two points of deployment of the territorial defense were destroyed.
-Completed the cleanup of the Lisichansk oil refinery. The Ukrainian units that retreated to Zolotarevka are trying to gain a foothold along the last route of the retreat route from Lysichansk.

To the west of Lisichansk, allied forces are advancing on Seversk from two directions: from the side of the oil refinery to Verkhnekamenskoye and from the side of Nikolaevka to Disputed. On the southern outskirts of Lisichansk, fighting continues in the area of the rubber goods plant and Belaya Gora.
- Chechen units crossed the Seversky Donets near Privolye from the side of Staraya Krasnyanka and, together with the People's Militia of the DPR, are storming the village.
- Detachments of "PMC Wagner" are focused on cracking the defense near Bakhmut, as well as the destruction of enemy manpower and equipment at the turn of Pokrovskoye - Klinovoye.
-In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the RF Armed Forces attacked the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk and Slavgorod.
-In Nikolaev, the deployment point of foreign mercenaries was destroyed by a missile attack. An ammunition depot was destroyed in Shevchenko.
- In the Krivoy Rog direction, the RF Armed Forces shot down two Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.
- The RF Armed Forces left Zmeiny Island: due to constant shelling from the Odessa region, further defense is tantamount to suicide. At the moment, the island is empty, the Ukrainian side is not ready to occupy it.

The restoration of control will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to release most of the resources involved in the Odessa region. The main part will be directed to the Soledar direction, and the other, most likely, will be used for the planned counteroffensive in the Kherson region.

North Korea blames COVID outbreak on balloons from South Korea
North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
is blaming its COVID-19 outbreak on "alien things" — including balloons flown from South Korea.

The state media report said the hermit kingdom’s epidemic prevention center had found COVID clusters in the town of Ipho near its southeastern border with South Korea and that some Ipho residents with feverish symptoms traveled to Pyongyang.

The center said an 18-year-old soldier and a 5-year-old child had contact with "alien things" in the town located in the eastern county of Kumgang in early April and later tested positive for the Omicron variant.

In what it called "an emergency instruction," the epidemic prevention center ordered officials to "vigilantly deal with alien things coming by wind and other climate phenomena and balloons" along the inter-Korean border and trace their sources. It also stressed that anyone finding "alien things" must notify authorities immediately so they could be removed.

The reports did not specify what the "alien things" were. But laying the blame on things flown across the border likely is a way to ease public complaints about its handling of the pandemic while repeating its objections to the ballooning activities of North Korean defectors and activists in South Korea, observers say.

Public schools in Texas would rename slavery as 'involuntary relocation' under new social studies standards proposed to the state's education board: State passed a law in 2021 to remove topics from schools that make students 'feel discomfort'

The Grand Turk
Turkey blocks access to Deutsche Well and Voice of America
[Rudaw] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
’s media watchdog has banned access to the Ottoman Turkish services of U.S. public service broadcaster Voice of America and German broadcaster Deutsche Welle, prompting criticism of censorship.

The Supreme Board of Radio and Television enforced a February decision requiring international media that air television content in Ottoman Turkish online to apply for a broadcast license. An Ankara court ruled to restrict access to the websites of the state-owned Deutsche Well and Voice of America late Thursday.

Neither website was available in Turkey on Friday. In a statement, Deutsche Welle said it did not comply with the licensing requirement because it "would have allowed the Ottoman Turkish government to censor editorial content."

Director general Peter Limbourg said this was explained in detail to the Ottoman Turkish radio and TV board, abbreviated as RTUK.

"For example, media licensed in Turkey are required to delete online content that RTUK interprets as inappropriate. This is simply unacceptable for an independent broadcaster. DW will take legal action against the blocking that has now taken place," Limbourg said.

In February, RTUK said it identified three websites without broadcast licenses, which also included the Ottoman Turkish services of Euronews. But Euronews said it argued that it did not broadcast live in Ottoman Turkish or air visual bulletins and was therefore exempt from the licensing requirements.

Voice of America noted in February that while licensing for TV and radio broadcasts is a norm because broadcast airwaves are finite resources, the internet does not have limited bandwidth.

"The only possible purpose of a licensing requirement for internet distribution is enabling censorship," VOA said in a statement. "Governments have a recognized responsibility to regulate the spectrum to ensure it is used in the broader public’s interest," it said.

State Department front man Ned Price tweeted when the licensing regulation emerged in February that the U.S. was concerned with RTUK’s "decision to expand government control over free press outlets."

In response, Ottoman Turkish Foreign Ministry front man Tanju Bilgic noted that the U.S. required to Turkey’s state English-language broadcaster, TRT World, to register as a foreign agent under a law intended for lobbyists and public relations firms working for foreign governments. "TRT abides by relevant regulations for its activities in the U.S. Is that censorship? We expect the same from @VoAOttoman Turkish and others," Bilgic tweeted.

China-Japan-Koreas
Statement from NSC Spokesperson Adrienne Watson on Hong Kong 25 Years After Handover
[WhiteHouse] July 1st marks the 25th anniversary of the of the handover of Hong Kong to the People’s Republic of China (PRC). This date was originally envisioned as the halfway point of 50 years of promised autonomy under the Sino-British Joint Declaration. Instead of looking forward to another 25 years of autonomy for Hong Kong, we have witnessed the dismantling of Hong Kong’s democratic institutions and the unprecedented pressures on the judiciary, the stifling of academic, cultural, and press freedoms, and the coerced disbandment of dozens of civil society groups and news outlets. These actions undermine fundamental freedoms and the rules-based order which serves to preserve global stability.

Today is the second anniversary of National Security Law, the aggressive implementation of which has eliminated any meaningful political opposition in Hong Kong and stifled dissent. As a result, today almost all of Hong Kong’s pro-democracy politicians are either in prison pending trial or in exile overseas. NGOs, trade unions and human rights organizations opposing the Government’s agenda have been forced to disband or leave, for fear of government reprisals. The PRC’s policies toward Hong Kong also have shaken the institutions, rules, and systems that had been the basis of international confidence in Hong Kong – which was the bedrock of its role as an economic hub.

We call on the PRC to act in accordance with the international obligations it willingly undertook. Ahead of the Chief Executive’s inauguration, we reiterate the importance that Hong Kong’s leadership respects the protected rights and freedoms of people in Hong Kong, as provided for in the Basic Law.

#1  I had a front row seat to this from 2017 to 2020. Whatever you thought Hong Kong was - it is no longer. IC2S is no longer in place. The ChiComms - in my opinion - always saw Hong Kong as an open wound and vector for infection. The wound has been cauterized.

Hong Kong is now a JACC - Just Another Chinese City. Some would say a tier 2 city at that compared to Beijing or Shanghai (among others). Hong Kong will be slowly absorbed into the mega-city of the Guangzhou-Shenzen-Greater Bay megalopolios.

A cautionary tale for those who think they can "work" with the PRC on anything (looking at you Big Tech...).

Berlin preps 'huge thermos' to help heat homes this winter
[AlAhram] The rust-colored tower rising from an industrial site near the banks of Berlin's Spree river looks nothing like the sleek flasks Germans use for coffee, yet its purpose is similar: to provide some warmth throughout the day, especially when it's cold outside.

With a height of 45 meters (almost 150 feet) and holding up to 56 million liters (14.8 million gallons) of hot water, utility company Vattenfall says the tower will help heat Berlin homes this winter even if Russian gas supplies dry up.

``It's a huge thermos that helps us to store the heat when we don't need it,'' said Tanja Wielgoss, who heads the Sweden-based company's heat unit in Germany. ``And then we can release it when we need to use it.''

While district heating systems fueled by coal, gas or waste have been around for more than a century, most aren't designed to store significant amounts of heat. Instead, they burn as much fossil fuel as needed, contributing to the greenhouse gas emissions that are driving global warming.

By contrast, the new facility unveiled Thursday at Vattenfall's Reuter power station will hold water brought to almost boiling temperature using electricity from solar and wind power plants across Germany. During periods when renewable energy exceeds demand the facility effectively acts as a giant battery, though instead of storing electricity it stores heat.

``Sometimes you have an abundance of electricity in the grids that you cannot use anymore, and then you need to turn off the wind turbines,'' said Wielgoss. ``Where we are standing we can take in this electricity.''

The 50-million-euro ($52 million) facility will have a thermal capacity of 200 Megawatts - enough to meet much of Berlin's hot water needs during the summer and about 10% of what it requires in the winter. The vast, insulated tank can keep water hot for up to 13 hours, helping bridge short periods when there's little wind or sun.

It will also be able to use other sources of heat - such as that extracted from wastewater, said Wielgoss. While it will be Europe's biggest heat storage facility when it's completed at the end of this year, an even bigger one is already being planned in the Netherlands.

Berlin's top climate official, Bettina Jarasch, said the faster such heat storage systems are built, the better.

``Due to its geographic location the Berlin region is even more dependent on Russian fossil fuels than other parts of Germany,`` she told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. ``That's why we're really in a hurry here.''

``The war in Ukraine and the energy crisis teach us that we need to be faster,'' said Jarasch.

``First of all to become climate neutral,`` she said. ``And secondly, to become independent (of energy imports).''

Figures released Thursday by Germany's utility industry association BDEW shows efforts to reduce natural gas use are having an effect.

Consumption of gas dropped by 14.3% in the first five months of this year compared to the same period in 2021.

Part of the decline was due to milder weather, but the industry group said even accounting for warmer temperatures there was a measurable drop that it attributed to bumpier economic conditions, appeals from the German government to save energy and individuals' personal efforts.

Wielgoss said she was confident that Vattenfall's customers won't go cold this winter, despite the looming gas squeeze from Russia as Moscow retaliates for Western sanctions by reducing the gas flowing through key pipelines.

``Consumers in Germany are very well protected,'' she said. ``So they for sure will not suffer any shortages. But of course, we plead with everybody to really start saving energy.''

``Each kilowatt hour we save is good for the country,'' she added.

So it is 50-million-euro ($52 million) that could have been invested in a small nuclear facility, for example, that actually generates energy when they will desperately need it in the cold weather. Madness...

Cyber
Info of over 300,000 Israelis leaked as Iranian hackers target travel booking sites
[IsraelTimes] Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority seizes servers of Gol Tours LTD, which operates the affected websites, after claiming owner failed to cooperate and address security breach.

Iranian hackers have recently hacked into a number of popular Israeli travel booking websites, managing to obtain the personal information of over 300,000 Israelis.

The incident occurred two weeks ago and was confirmed by Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority on Thursday evening.

The attack affected websites operated by Gol Tours LTD, a tourist company that owns over 20 travel booking websites.

The leaked information includes telephone numbers, addresses, dates and locations of booked vacations, and sensitive medical information, the authority said in a statement.

The affected websites reportedly include: hotel4u.co.il, booking-hotels.co.il, booking-kibbutz.co.il, mlonot.co.il, noapass.co.il, gol.co.il, funtoursisrael.co.il, ortal.net, come2israel.co.il, and come2israel.com.

The Privacy Protection Authority said it had immediately contacted the owner of Gol Tours LTD following the hack, in an effort to address the security flaws that the hackers took advantage of, but was met with a refusal to cooperate.

"The required changes were not made," the authority said, noting that it has launched an investigation into the incident.

The authority has also claimed, according to a report by Channel 12 news, that the owner of Gol Tours LTD refused to address the security breaches because it would have cost him money to do so.

The report added that the owner also ignored instructions provided by Israel’s National Cyber Directorate following the hack, meant to help the company bolster its security and avoid additional information being leaked to the hackers.

In an unprecedented move in Israel, authority officials raided on Thursday the company’s offices and seized its servers until the investigation is complete.

"In any case of failing to immediately report a serious security breach and not cooperating according to the guidelines, the authority will take decisive action to protect the personal information of the public, including effectively halting the company’s operations," the Privacy Protection Authority said in a statement.

The authority said it was hopeful the unusual measure taken in this case would serve as a warning to other website owners who may consider not reporting security breaches in the future.

Responding to the allegations, the owner of Gol Tours LTD rejected the claims and said the authority has treated him worse than the Iranian hackers ever did.

"I never said I wouldn’t upgrade [the company’s online security measures] because it would cost me money, never," he told Channel 12.

"The Iranians only took names and phone numbers from our site. We don’t hold credit card numbers in our system. The authority had sent us a faulty document and didn’t respond to our messages," he argued.

"We have one of the best security companies in the country," he continued, "Those who hacked our websites are the same ones who hacked the hospitals. We know how to deal with them, but we never imagined that we would be hurt by Israel more than by the Iranians."

The incident comes weeks after Israeli communications firms were instructed to bolster cybersecurity, as the government rolled out a new initiative to guard the country against online attacks amid an uptick in hacks targeting Israeli websites.

Under the reform, Israel’s major communications companies are required to implement detailed plans for identifying and preventing future cyberattacks targeting communication networks. The companies now need to adhere to unified standards.

Numerous suspected Iranian cyberattacks on Israel were reported in recent years.

In April, a group of pro-Iranian hackers grabbed credit for a DDoS cyberattack that temporarily took down the Israel Airports Authority’s website.

Last year, a ransomware cyberattack targeted the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, completely shutting down its computer system. A few days later, the National Cyber Directorate said it had thwarted a wave of attempted cyberattacks targeting additional Israeli hospitals and health centers.

In 2020, various Israeli websites that Iranian hackers targeted as part of Iran’s Quds Day, displayed a video simulating Israeli cities being bombed and messages threatening the destruction of the Jewish state.

According to data released by Cybersecurity firm VirusTotal in October last year, Israel was the country most affected by ransomware between January 2020 and October 2021.

They guy let the Iranians hack him? LOL.

He'd cooperate if he had nothing to hide but obviously failed to implement adequate cyber security. He'll no doubt pay for that failure with a loss in business.

Man pleads guilty to selling pistol to Texas synagogue hostage-taker
[IsraelTimes] Henry Dwight Williams faces up to 10 years in US federal prison over sale of gun to Malik Faisal Akram, who took rabbi and three others hostage before being fatally shot by FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
.

A man who sold a pistol to a man who used it to hold four hostages inside a Texas synagogue before being fatally shot by the FBI early this year pleaded guilty Thursday to a federal gun crime, the US Department of Justice said.

Henry "Michael" Dwight Williams, 32, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, prosecutors said.

Williams sold Malik Faisal Akram the weapon Arkam used when he entered Congregation Beth Israel in the Dallas-area suburb of Colleyville on January 15 and held the synagogue’s rabbi and three others hostage, according to prosecutors.

Williams faces up to 10 years in federal prison.

A sentencing date has not been set.

Williams, who previously was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted possession of a controlled substance, sold Akram a semi-automatic pistol on January 13. In plea papers, Williams admitted to possession of that firearm despite his prior conviction, prosecutors said.

Akram, a 44-year-old British citizen, held hostages while demanding the release of a federal prisoner.

The standoff ended after more than 10 hours when the temple’s rabbi threw a chair at Akram and fled with the other two remaining hostages just as an FBI tactical team was moving in.

None of the hostages were maimed.

Williams was arrested less than two weeks later.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Report: Israel suggests Lebanon buy 'its share' in Qana field
[AnNahar] Israel has responded to Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. ...
’s latest proposal regarding sea border demarcation and its answer included a suggestion that Lebanon "buy Israel’s small share" in the Qana offshore field, informed sources said.

"Israel has welcomed the unified Lebanese stance, which does not mention Line 29 as a negotiations line, and it considered that this answer ends the disputed status of the Karish field file," the sources told al-Akhbar newspaper in remarks published Friday.

"Israel has not accepted Lebanon’s demand to get the entire Qana field, noting that negotiating over Line 23 means that Israel has a right and a share in the field, while acknowledging that Lebanon’s share in the field is bigger," the sources added.

In the regard, al-Akhbar reported that "the Americans, in consultation with the Israelis and European capitals," are saying that "as long as the Lebanese share is the bigger one, Lebanon should buy Israel’s share through a global firm that would assume the mission of (gas) extraction and perhaps selling."

Israel has also said that the indirect negotiations should continue through the U.S. mediator and not in Naqoura and that "the negotiations should now focus on how to address the common section of the Qana field."

Moreover, Israel has called on the international community to "deter" Lebanon and prevent it from "endorsing Hezbollah’s threats," the sources added.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Commander of the Don Cossack detachment urges Cossacks to mobilize
Direct Translation via Google Translate Edited.
[REGNUM] The lifestyle of the Cossack is based on the Orthodox faith and love for the Fatherland, thanks to which the Cossacks have always been the backbone of the state. Real Cossacks, as they were, and remained warriors by nature. Nikolai Dyakonov , commander of the Don Cossack detachment, wrote about this in his telegram channel .

"Brother Cossacks! I call on you to mobilize, to act together as a united front and to complete the destruction of the Nazism that has raised its head in Ukraine. We cannot be divided into registered and social activists, our own and others - among the soldiers of Christ there are no Cossacks of strangers. We announced a muster under our banners for a campaign against Nazism, against those who set it as their goal to destroy us and publicly admitted this. Hurry up to do your manly work,” Dyakonov addressed the Cossacks.

REGNUM reported that in the spring of 2022, the Cossack units went to the Donbass. The volunteer Cossack detachment "Don" named after the Archangel Michael, which included representatives of the Union of Cossack Warriors of Russia and Abroad (SKVRiZ), also takes part in a special operation to protect the republics of Donbass.

Rostov Cossacks of the Platov Hundred given shoulder straps of a cornet

[REGNUM] In the Rostov region, the Cossacks of the Platov Hundred of the Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University were given cornet shoulder straps. The solemn ceremony took place in the Patriarchal Ascension Military All-Cossack Cathedral in Novocherkassk, the capital of the Don and world Cossacks, the Don government told REGNUM news agency .

The first officer rank of cornet was assigned to 18 young Cossacks of the Platov Hundred platoon. Ten representatives of the village Cossack society "Platovskoye" were participants in the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow on May 9, 2021 as part of the consolidated parade crew of the All-Great Don Army.

IA REGNUM notes that the SRSPU named after Platov (formerly the Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute) is one of the oldest in the South of Russia and the first Cossack in the history of the country. On the basis of the military institute of the SRSPU, a Cossack village was created, and later - the Cossack Platov Hundred of young Cossacks. Among other things, young Cossacks master such disciplines as the organization of Cossack self-government, legal support for the activities of Cossack societies, the basics of Orthodox culture, and the economy of Cossack regions.

Cossacks will ride in memory of the 110th Kalmyk Cavalry Division

[REGNUM] Cossacks of the military Cossack society "Great Don Army" will make a horse march in memory of the feat of the 110th Kalmyk Cavalry Division. This was reported to IA REGNUM today, July 1, by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Kalmykia.

The cavalry will set off on July 10. The route of the Cossacks runs through the places of military glory of grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who in 1942 detained the many times superior forces of the Nazi troops on the Don, ensuring the crossing of a number of formations of the Red Army.

The beginning of the campaign will be laid in the Small Derbets, where the 110th Kalmyk cavalry division was formed. The riders will be dressed in the military uniform of the cavalrymen of the 1942 model. In 12 days, the horsemen will travel 470 km, visit memorable places in Kalmykia and the Rostov region, and commemorate the dead during the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.

The horse crossing will end in the village of Razdorskaya, Ust-Donetsk region, where Hero of the Soviet Union Erdni Delikov took his last fight .

Iraq
Iran, Iraq swap remains of 45 soldiers killed in war
“Mostly what we find are stray ears, lips, and belly buttons, but where there’s an actual body we do our best to return it.”
[Rudaw] Iraq and Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
exchanged the remains of 45 soldiers who were victims of the devastating war fought between the two countries, a humanitarian organization said on Thursday.

The International Committee of the Red Thingy (ICRC) in Iraq said Iraq received the remains of nine soldiers found in Iranian territory, while Iran returned the remains of 36 soldiers with the support of ICRC.

The transfer took place at the Shalamcheh border crossing between the two countries, according to ICRC’s statement.

Iraq and Iran fought a devastating war more than three decades ago, from 1980 to 1988, during which around one million lives from each side were lost due to the conflict.

Tehran and Baghdad in 2008 signed an agreement under the ICRC auspices regarding the exchange of information and handing over remains of missing persons during the war. The remains of hundreds of soldiers have been returned since then.

"More than 30 years have passed since the end of the armed conflict between Iraq and Iran, and thousands of families are still unaware of the fate of their loved ones," ICRC stated, adding that it will continue to assist all parties by providing them with answers they need.

ICRC mentioned that the victims' names will be published by the Iraqi defense ministry, as with every exchange. The ministry has not published the names as of yet.

The remains of a Christian Iraqi soldier who died during the Iraq-Iran war were uncovered by a farmer in Erbil's Haji Omaran subdistrict last month and handed to his family, more than three decades after he was declared missing in action.

In February, a Kurdish soldier killed during the war had his body returned to his family after being missing in Iran for almost 35 years.

Jean Marie Bugoma, 24, was convicted on Wednesday after pleading guilty to bestiality, KSAT reported.

The sick acts occurred at a San Antonio equine boarding facility on at least three occasions between June 2020 and February 2021.

In the first instance, Bugoma was caught on surveillance camera walking through the stables naked, according to an arrest affidavit.

The owner noticed soon after that two of his horses were maimed and a vet later determined the animals had been sexually assaulted.

Authorities said Bugoma went to the stables again months later and had sex with one of the horses.

Two other horses had also been "hobbled," which meant their legs were bound together.

When the owner caught Bugoma back at the stable in February last year, authorities obtained a warrant that determined DNA taken from one of the horses matched that of the suspect.

Spread of Radicalisation in Rajasthan linked to the rise in foreign funded Mosques at Pakistan border
[OneIndia]: The horrific killing of a Hindu tailor by two Islamic Death Eaters in Udaipur earlier this week only shows up to what extent radicalisation has spread in India.

The National Investigation Agency says that it will probe the role of local radical groups in Rajasthan.

In this context we must revisit the book Radicalisation in India, authored by Abhinav Pandya, a Cornell University graduate in public affairs, is a policy analyst specialising in counterterrorism, Indian foreign policy and Afghanistan-Pakistain geopolitics.

#1  All this... slippage... is the result of the central government's wariness in challenging the moslems head on. They're not afraid of the moslems per se. It's what comes after, that they fear.

Truth is, the central government fears a civil war. And a civil war would be the harbinger of a three pronged assault by our enemies. Pakistain, China, and India's own homegrown 'protest brigade'. The latter is composed of islamist lemurs + caste warrior commies empowered by lawyers with Sörôs' stubby fingers up their asses + erstwhile cronies of the previous administrations that made their fortunes under the Left and cannot anymore + khalistanis posing as 'farmers', etc. A concerted assault and war with them all is what awaits the Indian Union. Mobs and riots and murders and attacks in every metro, highways, facilities, infra all held to ransom by assortments of the above, while the neighbors escalate to a point of surrender or MAD.

Oh... they know we won't MAD, because it's just rear echelon faggots manning the war rooms and marigold and coconut loving hindoos holding the codes. That may verily be so. But that may not be necessary. Now our eastern neighbour, and also your fancy boys in Virginia, like to play with estimates and simulations. In some of their simulations, both have foreseen the military taking over the polity of India, a là Myanmar. Because ensuring territorial security and continuity of services becomes paramount and political imperatives are dissolved. After that, they're not dealing with civs and the bureaucrats anymore. The UN, the US HoR, the boo hoo hoo islamophile brigades of Europe and the OIC can all go fish. It'll be an India 2.0, something neither the Chinese nor the commies nor the lemurs can deal with.

Bottomline is, the civ leadership fears this militarization of the country, and Indian polity falling into the hands of a junta, after which the political class will be out of work, their accounts in the Caymans, in the EU mostly forfeited by Imperial edict from the west. They'll stomp and fret and some will just disappear. Why, I think we'd out-China China! That's what the political class fears most. Tanks rolling over their palaces and statues and temples. There's more than seventy years of hate for the political class here, bottled up with the stupid 'oath to the constitution'. The mostly European constitution is what got us here, exactly where it got the Europeans. Except they had some advantage and can last longer against the jihad and commies than we would.

Just my two crumpled Rupees.

#2  They are wrong, all these experts. After all they're trying to study a very Asian phenomenon from a mostly western paradigm of humanistic ethics and conventions. I am right.

Anyone following their 'insights' into 'radicalism' and the 'pathology' of extremism is going to make strategic errors. All of islam must be targeted, if societies are to survive it. it must be eradicated. And it can be. The first step is violence, of course. The second is either forming a majoritarian republic where islam is no more recognized as a religion, or doing away with religion altogether. Stripping entities like Trusts and Foundations and congregations of community identities. Violently, like the Hans have unified their folks with batons and gut punches. Faux-humanistic conventions [I say that a lot don't I?] and kow-towing to dishonest, hypocrite concepts like the UNDHR and such is going to just cripple societies before the lawless hordes. America is seeing this in their blue states. congratulations about NY by the way, took some battered Asians and Jews but at least you can cap a brother trying to steal your lunch money now ☺

Russian missiles kill at least 18 in Ukraine's Odesa region
[NYPOST] Russian missile attacks on residential areas in a coastal town near the Ukrainian port city of Odesa early Friday killed at least 18 people, including two children, authorities reported, a day after Russian forces withdrew from a strategic Black Sea island.

Video of the pre-dawn attack showed the charred remains of buildings in the small town of Serhiivka, located about 31 miles southwest of Odesa. Ukrainian news reports said missiles struck a multi-story apartment building and a resort area.

"A terrorist country is killing our people. In response to defeats on the battlefield, they fight civilians," Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Kirill Tymoshenko, said 18 people died, including two children. A front man for the Odesa regional government, Serhiy Bratchuk, said on the Telegram messaging app that another 30 had been injured.

Sixteen of the 18 victims died in the strike on the apartment building, Ukrainian emergency officials said.

The Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s followed the pullout of Russian forces from Snake Island on Thursday, a move that was expected to potentially ease the threat to nearby Odesa. The island sits along a busy shipping lane. Russia took control of it in the opening days of the war in the apparent hope of using it as a staging ground for an assault on Odesa.

American Airlines passenger admits jumping on beverage cart, trying to strip
Play stupid games...
[NYPOST] A Washington state man is facing up to 20 years in prison after he admitted to jumping over a beverage cart and trying to take off his clothes aboard an American Airlines flight, which had to be diverted.

Adam Alexander Williams, 33, of Auburn, Washington, pleaded guilty Thursday to interference with flight members and attendants, more than five months after causing a flight from Seattle to Charlotte, North Carolina, to land in Billings, Montana, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Montana.

Williams will be sentenced at a later date. In addition to prison time, he also faces a $25,000 fine and three years of supervised release.

According to court documents, Williams was traveling to North Carolina on Jan. 9 when his behavior “turned erratic and escalated” mid-flight.

At one point, he yelled at no one in particular, “Where is Jamie Sanders?” He later jumped over passengers in his row and onto a beverage cart in the aisle.

“As he came off of the cart, he almost landed on a flight attendant and pushed her into a seat, knocking drinks and cups to the ground,” records stated. “He then began to run down the aisle of the aircraft.”

NYC needs to examine 'if' error made returning slain girl Julissia Batties to mom: Adams
We know the answer is yes. Why doesn’t he? Maybe next time New Tork City will vote for a real law’n’order Republican instead of the fake they chose last time.
[NYPOST] Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday said the city needs to examine "if" the Administration for Children’s Services failed little Julissia Batties — who was allegedly murdered by her mother just after being placed back in her care.

The mayor was asked to respond to claims by the girl’s grief-stricken dad that "the system failed her" — referring to ACS deciding to return Julissia, 7, to her mom Navasia Jones less than two months before she was found beaten to death in August 2021.

"We have to really examine exactly if there was a failure," Adams said at an unrelated presser.

"Anytime we have cases like this we are in a constant state of analyzing how could we do something better," he continued, "and so I don’t know if I support what the dad is saying around that."

The slain girl’s dad, Julius Batties, shot back that the mayor needs to "do his homework."

"All of this is black and white," Batties told The Post. "Go look at the records then come back to me.

"You all work for the city and ACS is run by the city," he said. "It’s a shame on the city and worse shame on the mayor to say that. He should do his homework before he speaks and judge the situation when he doesn’t know what he is talking about."

The tragic youngster was the subject of a heated custody battle for nearly all of her life. Her paternal grandmother, Yolanda Davis, was temporarily granted custody of Julissia after she was born, and previously has told The Post she "begged" ACS not to send the girl back to her mother.

Jones — who was charged with murder and manslaughter Wednesday — had lost custody of the girl at birth, along with her four sons, due to alleged negligence and physical abuse.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
EU to renew funding for Palestinian group accused of backing terror
[IsraelTimes] al-Haq, a well-known Paleostinian civil society organization, saw EU support frozen in May 2021 following Israeli allegations of terror funding; probe found no evidence of fraud

The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
informed a Paleostinian civil society organization accused by Israel of terror funding that its suspended EU financial support would soon resume after an investigation by Brussels found no evidence of irregularities.

Brussels froze its funding for al-Haq in May 2021 after years of Israeli accusations that the group was controlled by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine, which is widely recognized as a terror group.

The European Commission’s anti-fraud unit — known by its French acronym OLAF — opened an investigation to assess whether or not EU funds were being transferred to the terror group. The probe was subsequently closed, meaning funding will resume, al-Haq was told.

"OLAF concluded that there is no suspicions of irregularities and/or fraud affecting EU funds in the implementation of [Al-Haq’s] EU funded project," the European Commission wrote in a letter to the organization on Tuesday.

A second source familiar with the matter confirmed on Friday that EU funding was being renewed and that the letter’s contents were genuine. The source spoke to The Times of Israel on condition of anonymity.

The European Union did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Al-Haq is one of the oldest Paleostinian rights groups operating in the West Bank and Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
. The organization was founded by lawyer Raja Shehadeh in 1979.

The group has been involved in filing reports with the International Criminal Court, which opened an investigation last year into possible war crimes in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza since 2014.

In late October, the Israeli Defense Ministry classified al-Haq and five other Paleostinian civil society organizations as terror groups. The designation meant that the organizations’ employees could be arrested and funding confiscated.

Israel’s decision to blacklist the six organizations, some of which received European funding, sparked international criticism. But Israeli officials doubled down on the claim, telling news hounds that the evidence behind the decision was "ironclad."

Brussels has not been convinced by the evidence Israel has shared. EU High Commission Josep Borrell said that Israel had yet to send definitive proof.

"We are asking for answers from the Israeli government, and we have not yet received convincing answers," Borrell said in a closed-door meeting of international donors to the Paleostinians in Oslo in late November

The six Paleostinian organizations in question — al-Haq, Addameer, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, Defense for Children International — Paleostine, Bisan, and the Union of Paleostinian Women’s Committees — are prominent and well-established groups.

The PFLP, which avowedly seeks to destroy Israel, has a long history of violent mostly peaceful attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians. The United States, the European Union, and much of the international community classify it as a terrorist organization.

Israeli officials have pointed to previous convictions of high-ranking members of the nonprofits — including al-Haq director Shawan Jabarin — for belonging to the PFLP. The Paleostinian nonprofits strongly dispute the charges against them, accusing Israel of seeking to crack down on criticism of its policies.

Pro-abortion protesters target Justice Amy Coney Barrett's home
[NYPOST] A group of pro-child sacrifice abortion protesters gathered outside conservative Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s Virginia home Thursday evening, chanting expletives and waving signs reading "Liar."

Roughly 20 people were seen marching outside the judge’s Falls Church home, crying "F— you, Barrett."

The angry crowd also clutched signs reading, "Keep your rosaries off my ovaries," "Reproductive Rights are Human Rights," "Impeach Expand Codify," and "Liar" with a photo of Barrett printed underneath.

Many of the demonstrators appeared to be with the activist group Our Rights DC, which has organized several protests outside the homes of the six conservative justices who voted in favor of overturning the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling.

Following the decision — which returns the issue of child sacrifice abortion to each of the 50 states — a number of states implemented so-called "trigger laws" that banned or restricted child sacrifice abortion with immediate effect.

#1  Remember,
The Democrat Party were the openly proud champions of the KKK, Jim Crow laws, and conducted many, many other racist acts between 1860 – 1972.

These Liberal Socialist Democrats are now protesting for the right to continue killing massive numbers of Black-Americans. A tactic, which so far has resulted in the elimination of well over 14/-+ Million Black American babies since 1973.

Abortion, is the #1 killer in Black-American community.

More Black-Americans are killed in 6 days of Black-American performed abortions than all the lynchings between
1860-and 1968.

More Black-Americans are killed in 1 day of Black-American performed abortions, than ALL police shootings
that were ruled unjustified in the last 40+/- years.

Put in more simple, direct words.
The Democrat Party elite have hit on a new way to reduce and control the Black-American Population, while even having 90+% of the Black Community electing and supporting them in doing so.

A question I keep asking:
How does any Christian Faith Reverend/Preacher join, follow and promote the Democrat Party’s Immoral Agenda

Vegan mom starved toddler to death with diet of raw vegetables, fruit
[NYPOST] A Florida vegan mother has been found guilty of murdering her 18-month-old son after only feeding him raw fruits and vegetables.

Sheila O’Leary, 39, is facing life in prison after a jury convicted her Wednesday of murder and a string of child abuse charges over the 2019 death of her toddler, Ezra O’Leary, the News Press reported.

Her little boy weighed just 17 pounds — seven pounds below average — when his parents noticed he had stopped breathing.

O’Leary and her husband, Ryan O’Leary, told police that Ezra followed a strict vegan diet — but that he was also breast fed.
"Are these Gluten-free?"
They said the boy hadn’t eaten for about a week prior to his death and was having trouble sleeping.

Sheila O’Leary and her husband, Ryan, were both arrested and charged over their son’s 2019 death.

An autopsy found the little boy died of malnutrition complications.

Prosecutors accused the mother of failing to seek proper medical care for her son when she realized he was ill.

“She chose to disregard his cries,” Assistant State Attorney Sara Miller said during closing arguments.

“She didn’t need a scale to see his bones. She didn’t need a scale to hear his cry.”

NYC council members hold hearing on antisemitism in city’s public colleges
[IsraelTimes] New York City council members hold a hearing to denounce antisemitism at the US city’s public colleges and call for action from university leadership.

Advocates and Jewish groups accuse the City University of New York (CUNY) school systems administration of neglecting widespread antisemitism at its 26 colleges.

CUNY’s chancellor, Felix Matos Rodríguez, canceled his appearance at the hearing at the Committee of Higher Education at the last minute, the second time he has put off his attendance. No administrators from CUNY attend in person.

Five council members are in attendance out of 51 in the council, and a couple dozen protesters gather in front of city hall.

"Him not showing up is perpetuating the antisemitism we’re talking about," Council Member Inna Vernikov says of the chancellor. "What a sham. What an insult to the Jewish community."

Faculty and students are set to address the politicians about their experience of antisemitism on campus. Three CUNY administrators are tuning in via Zoom.

Committee chair Eric Dinowitz shares anecdotes about antisemitism on campuses. Jewish students who were praying were called "dirty Jews," he says, with no response from the administration. In other cases, students called for violence against Jews, or spoke in favor of Adolf Hitler

Boston-area college employee fired over repeated antisemitic, racist graffiti

[IsraelTimes] A Boston-area college has fired an employee it said was responsible for terrorizing the campus for months with antisemitic and racist messages.

Curry College, in the suburb of Milton, announced Thursday it had identified the perpetrator of the graffiti dating back to International Holocaust Remembrance Day in January, when swastikas and other hateful messages began appearing on campus.

The college’s president, Kenneth Quigley Jr., said the culprit had been identified with the help of an FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
investigation, and that the employee was "terminated and removed from our community." At least five separate acts of vandalism were recorded, targeting both the college’s Jewish and Black students.

The employee is not currently facing state criminal charges, the Boston Globe reported.

"The College recognizes and regrets the impact these bias acts have had on our students, families, faculty, and staff throughout the spring semester and hope this will allow us to continue moving forward," Quigley wrote in his statement. Udaipur murder: 2 more arrested for conspiracy in connection with tailor's murder while knifemen questioned
[OneIndia] Two persons were arrested from here on Thursday night for conspiring the brutal beheading of a tailor, a senior police official said.

Tailor Kanhaiya Lal was killed Tuesday afternoon by two cleaver-wielding men, Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad, who posted a grisly video of the crime online claiming responsibility for the beheading . Both the accused were arrested in Rajsamand hours after the crime.

Two persons have been arrested. They were co-conspirator of the murder of Kanhaiya and they are being interrogated, the official said on Friday.

The arrested accused were identified as Mohsin and Asif.

The case is being investigated by National Investigation Agency (NIA) with support of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police.

Udaipur murder accused duo sent to 14 days judicial custody
[GreaterKashmir] A Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Thursday sent Riaz Akhtari and Ghaus Mohammed, the two prime accused who killed a tailor Kanhaiya Lal, to 14 days judicial custody.

Both the accused were produced before the special court amid tight security. The court after hearing the contention sent them to judicial custody.

The sources in the agency said that they received crucial input that both can be attacked by different organizations and hence they decided to produce them before Udaipur court.

"There are many more involved in the incident. It was a larger conspiracy which was executed in a well planned manner. The people who are involved in this are yet to be caught. And we don’t want any untoward incident, as we have input that accused might be attacked, hence we have postponed the plan to take them to Delhi," said the source.

The source said that both had been keeping an eye on the accused for a long time.

Ghaus, in 2014 went to Bloody Karachi

2611- The bike number of the terrorists who killed Hindu tailor in Udaipur
[OneIndia] The cycle of violence used for escape by the killers of an Udaipur tailor had "2611" as its registration number, a possible reference to the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.

Serial terror attacks in Mumbai took place on November 26 and referred to as 26/11 in general. Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad had fled after brutally hacking tailor Kanhaiya Lal to death in Udaipur on June 28.

Akhtari had paid Rs 1000 to obtain the number of his choice for the cycle of violence which he had bought in March 2013, officials said. The accused were caught in the Bhim area by the Rajsamand police hours after the incident. "The registration number of the bike on which they were fleeing was RJ 27 AS 2611.

The cycle of violence was handed over to the SIT for further action," SHO of Bhim cop shoppe said. Udaipur RTO Prabhu Lal Bamniya said the cycle of violence was issued in the name of Riaz Akhtari and a fee of Rs 1,000 was paid for securing the number in March 2013.

On November 26, 2008, 10 Pak Death Eaters arrived at Mumbai by sea route and opened fire indiscriminately at people, killing 166, including 18 security personnel. Ajmal Kasab was the only terrorist who was captured alive. He was hanged four years later on November 21, 2012.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Hutchinson's testimony raises fresh questions about Secret Service's handling of Jan. 6
[ABC] A former White House aide's stunning testimony before the House panel investigating the Capitol attack indicated that the U.S. Secret Service may have had advanced warning of the potential for violence at the Capitol, raising new questions about the agency's planning ahead of the riot and actions taken by agents on Jan. 6.
"Stunning" to some possibly. Why would the Capital Police or FBI want POTUS coming around. No sense in taking a chance on executive interference or friendly fire between the Secret Service (who don't fok around) and on-site Law Enforcement, either uniformed or clandestine agent provocateur? Shocking isn't it? The Secret Service either got the memo, or their intelligence cell became witting of a potential problem.
Cassidy Hutchinson,
...whose testimony before the committee was contradicted within hours by those she claimed to be quoting, making all her subsequent testimony highly suspect. And those news organizations that breathlessly report her claims, like ABC News, look like gullible suckers...
top deputy to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, told lawmakers on Tuesday that the security team guarding then-President Donald Trump and senior White House officials were aware there was a serious threat posed by some descending on Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, when Trump was planning to address a rally to support his baseless accusations that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.
It was that security team that declared itself willing, nay eager, to testify before the committee to contradict Ms Hutchinson’s claims. It’s shocking that the ABC News team, seasoned reporters all, is so far behind developments.
In Hutchinson's telling, the agency famous for its teams of bodyguards, sharpshooters and hyper-skilled drivers was aware that among the throngs headed to Washington were some who were planning to carry a variety of weapons and military gear, and were seeking to target members of Congress and breach the Capitol building.

If so, the Secret Service apparently failed to coordinate effectively with law enforcement partners, the public, or congressional leaders to strengthen the security posture -- and instead ferried a number of people under their protection to the Capitol complex with little more than their personal security details.

The Secret Service declined to answer questions from ABC News.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Warning Biden Over EPA Rule That Could Send Gas Prices Even Higher
[MSN] Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is asking the Biden administration to halt a plan he said would jeopardize a significant portion of the nation's oil production and increase gas prices even more.

In a letter sent to Biden on Monday, Abbott, a Republican, cited the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) plan to impose a discretionary re-designation of the Permian Basin, which is located in Texas and New Mexico, and accounts for 40% of all oil produced in the U.S.

"While you express concern about out-of-control gas prices, your Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is threatening to increase them even further," the letter said. "The EPA’s process could interfere in the production of oil in Texas which could lead to skyrocketing prices at the pump by reducing production, increase the cost of that production, or do both. Your administration's announced action is completely discretionary. Thus, you have the power to stop it."

The EPA recently announced plans to tighten air quality standards at the basin, a move that could result in "draconian regulations," Abbott said.

"EPA is now considering a discretionary redesignation for (portions of) these counties in New Mexico and Texas for the 2015 ozone NAAQS under Clean Air Act section 107(d)(3) based on current monitoring data and other air quality factors," the Biden administration wrote. "If the area is redesignated to nonattainment, the state(s) will be required to submit a State Implementation Plan to bring the area into attainment with the 2015 ozone NAAQS."

The basin is responsible for 5.2 million barrels of oil per day, which can be processed into about 95,000,000 gallons of gasoline each day, Abbott said.

"If you let the EPA move forward with the untimely and unnecessary measures that accompany redesignation, that action will put at risk 25 percent of American oil supply," the letter said. "That, in turn, could substantially increase the cost of gasoline."

He said he wants a response by July 29. If the EPA moves forward, Texas will take action to protect oil production and "the gasoline that comes from it," the governor said.

#7  Fuel prices slowly coming down. Can't have that now can we. What tis administration wants is for the middle class to disappear and them and the poor to be dependant on the Government. How well did that work out for native americans?

#8  In a letter sent to Biden on Monday, Abbott, a Republican, cited the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) plan to impose a discretionary re-designation of the Permian Basin, which is located in Texas and New Mexico, and accounts for 40% of all oil produced in the U.S.

Um - didn't SCOTUS just strike this exact type of thing down (EPA's creative interpretations of the Clean Air Act)? They no longer have the authority to do this.
