Re Todays Photograph - Some of the entries in the beauty contest 7/4/1946 - This primary source comes from the Records of the Solid Fuels Administration for War.
National Archives Identifier: 540478
Full Citation: 245-MS-540L; Some of the entries in the beauty contest; 7/4/1946; Photographs of the Medical Survey of the Bituminous Coal Industry, 1946–1947; Records of the Solid Fuels Administration for War, Record Group 245; National Archives at College Park, College Park, MD - Original Caption: "Some of the entries in the beauty contest. Price is center of coal mining activities for Utah. Price, Carbon County, Utah."
In 1946, noted photographer Russell Lee was hired by the Solid Fuels Administration for War, a Federal agency, to take photographs for a survey of medical, health and housing conditions in coal communities around the country.
Located in remote areas and patrolled by mine company guards during times of labor unrest, coal communities were normally inaccessible to outsiders. But government seizure of the mines from private operators gave Lee an unprecedented view into coal fields from Pennsylvania to Wyoming.
Russell Lee took more than 2,000 photographs of the miners in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
[GEO.TV] In a harrowing incident, a school's headmaster allegedly raped a 10-year-old female student in the city's Moach Goth area on Saturday. "She was dressed provocatively. What else could I do?"
A case has been registered at the Mochko Police Station on the complaint by the victim's father, said the police officials.
The father, in the first information report (FIR), said that three of his daughters take tuitions from the headmaster.
"The headmaster called and asked to send our daughters on June 21, saying he wants to give them eidi. However,
ars longa, vita brevis... when I refused, the headmaster insisted after which I sent my daughters," said the FIR.
Following the incident, the girl also underwent medical examination. The police said they are waiting for the report.
The victim's parents and local residents of the area protested at the Hub River Road against the suspect not being arrested. Due to the protest, the traffic was affected.
In a similar incident last month, a principal of a private school was arrested for torturing and harassing a female student. He was accused of attempting to rape a Class 10 student at the school near Orangi Town.
The principal had been sending obscene messages and harassing the victim for several days.
During the incident, he allegedly turned the CCTV camera towards the ceiling and coerced the student to commit adultery, threatening to fail her in her matriculation exams and ruin her future if she did not comply.

[Substack] POP QUIZ: How did Julian Assange first become famous?
ANSWER: In 2007, Assange and his new Wikileaks website helped destabilize Kenya. Assange interfered in Kenya’s general election, helping to trigger a bloodbath that killed more than 1,100 Kenyans.
Assange freely admitted his role in the Kenyan color revolution. In 2010, he boasted to The Guardian that Wikileaks had "changed the result" of Kenya's 2007 election. Such operations, said Assange, were part of Wikileaks' "important" "global role."
Of course, Assange was exaggerating, overinflating his own importance. He obviously did not change the result of Kenya’s election singlehandedly. Assange accomplished this only with massive help from a sovereign government. Kenya is a former British colony and its 2007 color revolution appears to have been a British operation. Wittingly or unwittingly, Assange synchronized his efforts with those of the British Foreign Office and George Soros. I have previously written about Soros' ties to the British establishment.
British Cut-Out?
On April 20, 2019, Martin Minns of The Star (Kenya) wrote an in-depth investigative report in which he revealed—among other things—that Wikileaks.org was registered in Nairobi in October 2006. It shared a PO Box with Mars Group Kenya, an NGO partly funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID).
Mars Group Kenya was founded by Mwalimu Mati and his wife Jayne in December 2006. Mati had formerly headed the Kenya office of Transparency International, a Soros-funded "anti-corruption" group based in Berlin.
Mati thus had strong links to the British government and to Soros’s NGO network. He was perfectly placed to act as a go-between—a cut-out—between Assange and the other participants in Kenya’s forthcoming color revolution.
Much evidence suggests that this is exactly the role Mati played in the operation.
The Kroll Report
Assange boasts that he triggered Kenya's 2007 color revolution by releasing a secret report from Kroll Associates UK Limited, a private intelligence firm in London. The report accused former Kenyan president Daniel Arap Moi of massive corruption.
By accusing Moi, the Kroll report cast a shadow on sitting president Mwai Kibaki—who was running for reelection with Moi’s endorsement. Wikileaks published the Kroll report on August 30, 2007. The UK newspaper The Guardian showcased the story the next day.
The Star (Kenya) later quoted Assange saying that he had chosen the release date for "political timing"; that the leaked report "swung the election" by "shifting the vote 10 per cent"; and that Assange believed his actions had "changed the world."

The DNC Convention should be lit
With all the Hamasnik demonstrations nationwide, I have been surprised than no local feral gun-totin' yoof have shot up one or several of them. They've been hitting almost every other spontaneous gathering of groups: birthday parties for children, church-sponsored carnivals, back yard cookouts, etc.

[An Nahar] Hezbollah on Sunday fired rockets at an area deep in north Israel after an Israeli airstrike Saturday killed one of its operatives near the eastern city of Baalbek.
In a statement, the group said it launched dozens of Katyusha rockets at the Nimra military base west of Tiberias in response to the assassination near Baalbek. It described Nimra as "one of the main bases in the northern region" of Israel.
In an earlier statement, the group said it destroyed espionage equipment at the al-Raheb Israeli post with the "appropriate weapons."
Shortly after the Nimra attack, Israeli airstrikes hit a house in the Tyre district town of Maaroub and several border towns.
The Israeli army said Saturday that the slain Hezbollah operative was part of the group's air defense unit.
Hezbollah has traded near daily fire with the Israeli army across Lebanon's southern border since its Palestinian ally Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, triggering the war in Gaza.
"A local Hezbollah official" was killed in an "Israeli drone" strike on a vehicle near the eastern city of Baalbek, a source close to the group told AFP on Saturday.
Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) reported one person was killed when an "enemy drone" targeted a vehicle in the Shaat area, around 15 kilometers (nine miles) north of Baalbek.
The area is around 100 kilometers from Lebanon's southern border with Israel.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the air force "operated in the area of Baalbek to strike and eliminate... a key operative in Hezbollah's Aerial Defense Unit."
The Hezbollah operative "took part in the planning and carrying out of numerous terror attacks" against Israel and helped build up the group's "arsenal of Iranian weapons," the statement added.
Hezbollah announced that a fighter from the area had been killed, identifying him as Maitham al-Attar.

[Daily Caller] In early World War II, on Nov. 30, 1939, a Soviet-Russian army invaded Finland in a surprise massive attack. The Finns were eventually outnumbered nearly three to one. The population of the Soviet Union in 1940 was 50 times larger than that of Finland’s.
Finland’s former anti-Soviet ally, Nazi Germany, had sold it out under the August 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, which made Germany and Russia de facto allies.
Finland’s other allies, particularly France and Britain, were slow in giving aid. Both were unsure whether Finland had any chance of survival. And they were further confused as to whether their archenemy Germany was friendly or hostile to Finland.
Yet for nearly the next four months, the Finns fought ferociously. They were led brilliantly by their iconic general and commander-in-chief, Carl Mannerheim.
By March 1940, however, the brave but exhausted Finns were being slowly ground down. Soon they were facing abject defeat — even after courageously inflicting nearly 500,000 Russian causalities, ten times the number of their own dead, wounded and missing.
Finnish ferocity shocked Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. Eventually, he was willing to abandon his original objective of controlling, if not annexing, Finland — in exchange for stealing nine percent of Finland’s territory.
Mannerheim reluctantly took the deal, stopped the war and saved an autonomous Finland.
The fallout from the Winter War directly influenced World War II.
[American Thinker] We now have a trend on the left: confusion. Leftists have fallen into an abyss. They are in the middle of full-throated chaos.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer group.
There has been this idea the left never makes mistakes, never falls into the whirlpools of self-destruction. Some on the right had begun to think of leftists as infallible. That’s one reason we are so feckless in countering their nonsense. They make themselves appear smarter and more powerful than they really are.
And here they are, caught. Their timing couldn’t be worse. Even better, they are facing choices that are not just difficult, but each choice will cause more problems.
Look at the confusion since the debate. Many of the party media apparatchiks immediately shared the truth: Joe had been a disaster. They became gloomy, donning sackcloth and groveling. Then Obama came out with his "one bad debate" line. Party bigs began using that same talking point, and all was well...really...
Hillary said she was behind Joe all the way. The campaign said Joe had a cold. Jill scolded America and her Cabinet for believing there was a problem.
Then it changed. Nancy Pelosi asking if this was an episode or a condition. It was reported that Obama was fine with an open convention to pick the nominee. Many other Democrats continue to say Joe may not be up to it after all, and he should step down.
Confusion reigns.
This has no easy fix — mainly because all their choices in this matter have negatives. Each one carries deep, difficult problems.
[G&G] Throughout the first half of the twentieth century, my paternal great-grandfather operated a general store in the unincorporated tobacco farming community of Hyman, South Carolina, that sold everything from "penny candy to coffins," my grandmother once said. Today, the old building at the intersection of North Pamplico Highway and Big Swamp Road remains, but the store itself is long gone, an echo of the past like so many other rural country stores replaced by Dollar Generals, Walmarts, and the might of Amazon.
Despite that corporate creep, a handful of stalwart enterprises endure across the South. In South Carolina, Cooper’s Country Store is still a popular pit stop between Columbia and the Grand Strand’s sandy shores, nearly a century after it opened. The two-story shop sells gas and other grocery basics, but it’s the locally cured country ham (sold whole or by the slice) that most folks seek. My parents often make the hour-and-a-half drive up from Charleston just to secure one of their famed hams, which they’ll slice and layer inside homemade biscuits, tailgate fodder for Clemson football games. In rural Gravel Switch, Kentucky, Penn’s Store—the nation’s oldest country store still run by the same family—is beloved by the G&G contributor and poet Maurice Manning.
Discover seven more country stores with deep roots and the kind of retro road-trip appeal that will have you rolling down the windows and hitting the blacktop, below.

[MAIL] A picture has emerged of the completely wrecked Dodge Charger that was carrying Minnesota Vikings player Khyree Jackson and two others when they tragically died in a car crash.
Jackson, 24, was killed along with former high school teammates Anthony Lytton Jr., 24, and Isaiah Hazel, 23, in a three-car accident in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
His mother, Ebbony Jackson, confirmed the news to TMZ on Saturday, saying she received a call about his death in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Jackson and Hazel were both pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services, Maryland Police said. Meanwhile, Lytton was transported to hospital where he later died.
Images show the completely disfigured and squashed Charger being taken away from the scene by a tow truck. The flattened vehicle appears to have had its back part completely torn off. Already declared alcohol was a factor

I've mentioned it before - this is why I'll never own a car with 8 cylinders, especially a f'n Dodge (which, ironically, I loved as a kid growing up).

Reading the article is seems like Jackson wasn't at fault for causing the accident. Not saying he might not have been able to pull out of it if he weren't partying at 3:00 am.

Some of that damage was from the fire department cutting the bodies out of the wreckage. I wouldn't expect that anyone at The Daily Fail to know that.
[JPost] An Israel Air Force aircraft struck the Khan Yunis municipality building in the Gaza Strip during an overnight operation, the military said on Sunday.
The strike was carried out using intelligence information provided by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Southern Command.
Among other things, in the building was an operational shaft that was connected to an underground route that served as a meeting place for Hamas terrorists, the military noted.
Before the attack, the military carried out several steps to reduce potential harm to civilians, the IDF added.
IAF KILLS TERRORIST WHO LAUNCHED ROCKET AT ISRAELI TERRITORY
The IDF further noted that an IAF aircraft had eliminated the terrorist who carried out a launch on Saturday, which crossed into Israeli territory from Shejaia and landed in open territory in the Nahal Oz area. The structure from which the terrorist operated was also destroyed.
During one of the activities, paratroopers destroyed a mortar launcher, and fighters located weapons, among which were an RPG, grenade, and an improvised explosive device.
The IDF also added that troops of the 162nd Division continued fighting in the Rafah area, killing more than 30 terrorists in close-quarters combat and IAF strikes.
[FOX] John Deere, the world’s largest seller of tractors and crop harvesters, on Friday announced another wave of layoffs, telling around 610 production staff at plants in Illinois and Iowa that they will be out of a job by the end of the summer.
The company is slashing around 280 workers from a plant in East Moline, Illinois, while another 230 employees are being let go at a factory in Davenport, Iowa. About 100 production employees at the company’s Dubuque, Iowa, plant will also be impacted. All layoffs are said to be effective from Aug. 30, the company tells FOX Business.
The layoffs are being made due to reduced demand for John Deere's products from those factories.
The company says it generated $10.166 billion in profits last year.

[Daily Caller] A former United States Space Force officer said Saturday morning that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is enforced by a "separate chain of command" at the Air Force Academy.
Former Space Force Lieutenant Colonel Matt Lohmeier, who was relieved of command after he spoke out against DEI initiatives in the military in 2021 and says he lost his pension, told guest host Joey Jones on "Fox and Friends Saturday" that the academy "has diversity and inclusion cadet officers" who "report to a separate chain of command." Jones had referred to an Arizona State University study that found service academies encourage reporting "private conversations that challenge DEI precepts," asking Lohmeier if he had similar experiences. (RELATED: ’Congress Has To Step In’: Judicial Watch Sounds Alarm On CRT At West Point)
"In fact, come to think of it, I did experience that. A fellow commander informed me that they’re aware of my kind of politics and that they’d be happy to turn me into the base commander if I continued to privately criticize our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives," he said. "But this problem has grown far beyond what I experienced, personally and professionally in the military workplace."
"My own alma mater, the U.S. Air Force Academy, has diversity and inclusion cadet officers who wear a special insignia within their cadet squadrons, they wear purple braided rope over the shoulders and they report to a separate chain of command other than their military chain of command, relating to diversity and inclusion issues," he continued. "It reminds one of Soviet political commissars that have been established both in the Soviet Union and in other Marxist revolutionary efforts throughout the last century."

[Washington Examiner] As President Joe Biden attempts to prove his mental fitness to voters, two radio hosts say the Biden campaign provided them questions for interviews with the presumed Democratic nominee.
On Saturday, CNN’s Victor Blackwell interviewed two radio hosts who interviewed Biden this week — Andrea Lawful-Sanders and Earl Ingram. During their conversation, Blackwell noted that both hosts asked the president nearly identical sets of questions and asked if the Biden campaign had given them questions for the interviews.
Lawful-Sanders, the host of The Source on WURD in Philadelphia, answered in the affirmative. Ingram, who invited Biden on The Earl Ingram Show on WMCS in Milwaukee, did not dispute her answer.
"The questions were sent to me for approval; I approved of them," Lawful-Sanders told Victor Blackwell, CNN’s host of First of All on Saturday.
"I got several questions — eight of them," the radio host said, referring to the questions she would ask Biden during a radio interview on Wednesday. "And the four that were chosen were the ones that I approved."
[Headline USA] Decomposing human remains have been found wrapped in a sleeping bag and left out on the sidewalk for trash collection in Manhattan, New York City police said Saturday.
The grisly discovery happened around 5 p.m. on Friday.
Police received reports of a suspicious package with a foul smell outside of a building in the Kips Bay neighborhood.
Responding officers found the remains in a sleeping bag left alongside other garbage bags set out on the curb for garbage pickup, according to police.
Video and photos shared on social media show what appears to be a full-sized body covered in a dark sleeping bag that was further wrapped in black trash bags.
The department has not released any details about the possible victim.
The victim’s age, sex, and size are all unreported at this time.
The medical examiner’s office is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death and whether foul play is suspected, police said.

[Ben Sellers, Headline USA] The implosion of President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign has been years in the making and highly anticipated.
Really, the biggest surprise, if any, has been how long the Left was able to milk the absurd notion that their political placeholder was a viable candidate.
As many have since noted, it speaks to the sheer toxicity that infects the corrupt conglomerate of corporations, information gatekeepers and partisan special-interests within the Beltway.
The Biden debate scandal and subsequent fallout effectively proved that not only has lying within the political Establishment become systemic, but it makes no difference if it is even a credible lie.
There is an almost taunting quality to putting forth something utterly implausible and challenging people to question it, knowing they lack the institutional power to hold the liars accountable.
GOING OVERBOARD
Most recognize that the current predicament is just another means to an ends—out with the old and in with the new: a candidate who must be capable of running on short notice with the existing funding sources and infrastructure needed to offset Trump’s advantage, and someone who both has the name recognition needed for a possible write-in campaign along with the perception of being a political outsider.

[ZERO] While the entire world - or rather Democrats - are shocked to learn that Biden's dementia is not a vast right wing conspiracy as they themselves had claimed prior to the catastrophic Trump-Biden debate, and that their eyes and ears had not in fact been deceiving them for the past three years, last week a Florida judge dropped a bombshell 150-page transcript related to a 2006 grand jury investigation of Jeffrey Epstein (readers may remember him if not his clients, none of whom it would appear are notable enough to be criminally charged), revealing that prosecutors were aware that Epstein sexually abused underage girls.
As Breanna Morello explains, the transcripts reveal that the deal between Epstein and prosecutors came two years after they learned that Epstein engaged in statutory rape of teenage girls, and resulted in minimal punishments for the billionaire human trafficker. In the end, Epstein was charged with only one count of solicitation of prostitution from a minor, despite evidence of multiple rapes and a pattern of behavior. Thanks to this slap on the wrist which meant he would be free shortly after, Epstein went on to sexually exploit children until his "suicide" in 2019 and made hundreds of millions from child trafficking with countless billionaires and political oligarchs, ferrying them back and forth on his Lolita Express to Epstein island, where countless underage girls were raped by the true ruling class which to this day remains immune from the legal system.
"Details in the record will be outrageous to decent people," Judge Luis Delgado wrote, adding that the transcript has (further) diminished public perception of the criminal justice system, which in recent months is best known for getting hijacked to serve Biden's failed crusade to incarcerate Trump before the election. The filings were released after a 2024 Florida law made it legal to do so for transcripts related to Epstein.
As noted above, the 2008 charges boiled down to a count of solicitation of prostitution from a minor, despite investigators’ knowledge of Epstein’s pattern of behavior, including numerous incidents of rape. The charge was significantly less severe than the evidence warranted, especially since investigators had knowledge of Epstein's pattern of behavior, including numerous incidents of rape. The limited charge ignored the full extent of Epstein's criminal activities.
The filing, which itself further unveils prosecutorial missteps that enabled Epstein’s later conduct, came years after the lenient, and delayed, sentence was criticized.
“The story of how Jeffrey Epstein victimized some of Palm Beach County’s most vulnerable has been the subject of much anger and has at times diminished the public’s perception of the criminal justice system,” Delgado wrote "Diminished the public's perception." Not certain if that is actually possible.
"How do Traffickers Control Victims?
Traffickers employ a variety of control tactics, the most common include physical and emotional abuse and threats, isolation from friends and family, and economic abuse. They make promises aimed at addressing the needs of their target in order to impose control. As a result, victims become trapped and fear leaving for myriad reasons, including psychological trauma, shame, emotional attachment, or physical threats to themselves or their family."
[Washington Examiner] It’s been more than a week since President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance rocked Democrats’ hopes to keep former President Donald Trump out of the White House.
While concerns from his own party have surged over the president’s cognitive decline, Biden has refused to heed calls to undergo neurological testing.
On Friday, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president rebuffed questions that he should consider listening to top Democratic leaders and take a cognitive test.
"Look. I have a cognitive test every single day. Every day I have that test. Everything I do," Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos during a 22-minute interview. "You know, not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world. "
It appears unlikely that the president will bow to pressure anytime soon. Should he change his mind and submit to neurological testing, he would turn to Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who has been the president’s personal physician since 2009.
Here are three things to know about the doctor who has the power to change the course of the 2024 election.

Pezeshkian, a 69-year-old cardiac surgeon, has pledged to promote a pragmatic foreign policy, ease tensions over now-stalled negotiations with major powers to revive a 2015 nuclear pact and improve prospects for social liberalisation and political pluralism.
However many Iranians are sceptical about his ability to fulfil his campaign promises as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...> , not the president, is the ultimate authority in the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
"Dear people of Iran, the election is over, and this is just the beginning of our working together. A difficult road is ahead. It can only be smooth with your cooperation, empathy and trust," Pezeshkian said in a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I extend my hand to you and swear on my honour that I will not abandon you on this path. Do not abandon me."
Turnout was almost 50% in Friday's vote, following historically low turnout in the first round ballot on June 28, when over 60% of Iranian voters abstained. The election was called after President Ebrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash in May.

If you have a strong horse vs. a dog faced pony soldier...
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin, is in italics
[ColonelCassad] A system for protecting infrastructure facilities that uses FPV drones has been successfully tested at one of the operating Russian civilian airfields without interrupting its daily operations, Dmitry Kuzyakin, the project developer and CEO of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CIS), told RIA Novosti.
“Our FPV-air defense security system is not only drones with a “gun,” but also the necessary ground equipment and special training for security pilots. We conducted all the necessary tests of the FPV complex at one of the domestic civilian airfields. When we were working, the facility functioned in normal mode. We were convinced of the radio-technical compatibility of the FPV system and the airfield systems. We conducted test work of FPV pilots under the control of airfield dispatchers. All work was carried out under the direct supervision of the flight director,” the agency’s source said.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, Kuzyakin previously reported that the FPV drones “Joker-10” developed by CIS were adapted to perform air defense and security tasks. FPV security crews can use them not only to monitor the perimeter of the facility, but also to hit long-range aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces using explosives, firing striking elements from special pipes, or ramming them.
The developer noted that the Central Design Bureau of the Russian Aerospace Defense System (CDBS) specialists have already trained the airfield staff to operate the FPV system, which involves operational monitoring of the facility and the physical destruction of "violator" devices both on the ground and in the air.
In normal mode, the FPV security crew carries out daily ornithological flights over the airfield and adjacent areas to disperse the birds.
According to him, during the tests, the specialists accumulated a knowledge base and competencies in organizing the work of FPV air defense security at an operating airfield. They also made sure of the effectiveness of the system and the absence of interference from it for the operation of the airport.
"
It became possible to "fly and see" very quickly. In our experiment, FPV pilots were at a special deployment point. Airfield controllers controlled not only air traffic, but also the work of FPV pilots. Tests have shown that they can interact very well, without interfering with anyone and successfully performing protective or regulatory functions. FPV security and air defense is a new reality that, in our opinion, should be implemented everywhere," the head of the Center for Design and Development of the Russian Aerospace Industry noted.
The Center for Design and Development of the Russian Aerospace Industry is engaged in the full cycle of issues related to the combat use of FPV systems: from piloting training and effective use to the production of the drones themselves. Over the years, the company has created a line of combat FPV drones "Joker" and a complex of ground equipment. The latest model to date, the "Joker-10", carries a payload of up to five kilograms, developing a speed of up to 100 kilometers per hour (up to 200 km / h without a payload). The scientific backbone of the Center are MIPT graduates.
Counter-drones are one of the promising areas of development in the FPV segment. The enemy is also actively experimenting with this, including on the battlefield, using FPV drones to attack our aircraft-type UAVs.
[Breitbart] Some grocery stores in Alabama and Oklahoma now have American Rounds vending machines which allow customers to buy ammo for their guns while getting a cart full of groceries for their families.
Cleveland.com reported on the vending machines, noting they are currently in six locations and “[use] artificial intelligence technology to verify a buyer’s identification and age through card scanning and facial recognition software.”
One of the locations is a Fresh Value store in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Terry Stanley, COO of the Fresh Value, said, “We’re always looking for ways to give our customers another reason to come visit our stores. Anything we can do to help them make their shopping trips easier, based on the feedback we’ve gotten from customers today, they are so excited about us having this ammo kiosk.”
American Rounds, the company which manufactures and distributes the ammo vending machines, has a statement on its website explaining that their system of purchase age and eligibility checks “ensures that all transactions comply with federal and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of responsible sales.”

[FoxNews] Authorities are attempting to link the gold heist to international gun trafficking, citing firearms recovered in raids
A police department in Canada believes over 6,500 gold bars have disappeared overseas after being stolen from an airport last year.
The incident, which took place in April 2023 at Toronto’s Pearson International airport, was perhaps the most valuable gold heist in history. Police reported more than CA$20,000,000 worth of gold was stolen in the form of 6,600 serialized bars. Clearly moved directly to NYC via cartel channels.
"We believe a large portion has gone overseas to markets that are flush with gold," lead investigator Det. Sgt. Mike Mavity said at a June 21 meeting of the Peel Police Service Board, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
He continued, "That would be Dubai, or India, where you can take gold with serial numbers on it, and they will still honor it and melt it down." ...
Mavity said he believes the gold was handed over to another party and melted down very shortly after the heist. QED
Suspects in the case include a jewelry store owner, a former Air Canada manager, and a warehouse employee. A total of nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Poss melted and cast as solid aircraft wheel assemblies for transport.
The suspects reportedly used a completed bill for a seafood pick-up to forge paperwork that was given to a warehouse attendant. Unlikely transported as lobster bisque.
Authorities believe a small amount of precious metal was melted down in the basement of a Mississauga jewelry store immediately following the heist. Only CA$90,000 has been recovered from the heist.
Police have attempted to draw connections between the stolen gold and cross-border gun trafficking, citing dozens of firearms seized from suspects in the investigation.
Two fully automatic weapons and several untraceable firearms were recovered, but authorities have not yet offered substantial evidence of connections to the illegal gun trade.

[Regnum] Ukraine is not against transferring its ideas on conflict resolution to Russia through other countries. This statement was made by Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the office of the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, on the air of a telethon.
“We are ready to submit our proposals, which are within the framework of preparations for the second world summit, including Russia, including on the format, as was the case with the grain agreement,” Podolyak said.
Meanwhile, the Kiev political scientist clarified that not all countries are suitable as mediators. In his opinion, those states whose leaders "will publicly come out and say rather banal things" are not suitable for these purposes.
Podolyak believes that when they say “we are for an immediate ceasefire,” it means that the country is not ready for a mediation mission.
“Because in big wars it’s a completely different kind of work,” explained the adviser to Zelensky’s office.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin's plan will be able to stop the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated on his YouTube channel by British analyst Alexander Mercuris.
Putin clearly outlined the conditions for a ceasefire, one of which is the withdrawal of Ukrainian armed forces from four regions of the Russian Federation: the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, as well as the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
According to Merkuris, this position is unpopular in the West, but supporters are already emerging.
According to Vladimir Putin, Russia and Ukraine could have reached an agreement long ago if the Ukrainian military had been commanded by people who were guided by the interests of the nation, and not by the interests of their masters overseas and in Europe.
Western politicians have not contacted the Kremlin regarding the peace initiatives to resolve the conflict in Ukraine that the Russian president outlined, the head of state's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

The Azov Brigade has made it clear no capitulation. No betrayal. Not even one millimeter left in Russian control. To back stab the Ukrainian people will cause death to whomever instigates such efforts. Direct warning to Zelensky. History repeats itself. War ending in Germany with country destroyed efforts maintained towards to the bitter end. Following generations will view with pride such efforts.
Interesting thought that Lincoln and Putin both being lawyers have acted similarity in their efforts to prevent war. Opposition however had no interest in entertaining any compromise. Any compromise is defeated before idea is delivered.

I don't recall Lincoln trying to conquer a sovereign country for the greater Soviet United States but your mileage may vary. I guess. Putin was a lawyer Besides being a KGB/FSB agent?

Putin stidied law, but his degree was in economics.
Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.
[Korrespondent] 22:52 During the day on July 6, the air defense of southern Ukraine destroyed eight drones: six reconnaissance (two ZALA and Supercam and one Merlin-VR and Orlan-10) and two Lancet attack UAVs. In addition, Russian troops attacked the Odessa region with two ballistic missiles, presumably Iskander-M, the South Air Command reported.
22:41 Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleshchuk said that Russian troops destroyed Ukrainian mock-ups of equipment instead of Patriot air defense systems and aircraft on July 3 and 6. "I thank everyone who helps with high-quality mock-ups of aircraft and air defense systems. The enemy has fewer Iskanders, and more mock-ups will be delivered," the commander wrote. Earlier, Russian propagandists showed a video of Iskander strikes allegedly on an airbase in Krivoy Rog and on a Patriot air defense system in the Yuzhny area.
21:10 Biden claimed that he managed to stop Putin and unite NATO: "You know, I'm not just running a campaign, I'm running the world. And without sounding hyperbolic, we are the most important nation in the world... I'm the one who united NATO. Nobody thought I could expand it. I'm the one who stopped Putin."
19:56 Zelensky said in an evening video address that the Ukrainian Maritime Strategy will soon be approved at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council: "We clearly understand that the war has changed the balance of power in our entire Black Sea region, and the Russian fleet will never again dominate in this water area. We are strengthening our interests, taking into account Ukraine's new technological capabilities and our new relations with partners. Ukraine will always be a state capable of protecting its own interests at sea, transport arteries, and the interests of our allies and partners."
The president also noted that this week "we have already significantly increased the strength of our air defense," and next week, according to him, "will be a time to continue such steps." "Every day, in detail, with our team, we work with partners on the relevant agreements - both within the framework of the air defense and F-16 coalitions, and on a bilateral basis - in particular with America. We are preparing the result that Ukraine needs and our common security with our partners," the head of state added.
19:42 Russia wanted to encircle Odessa and then land a naval assault, said Navy Commander Alexey Neizhpapa: "A naval assault operation, as a rule, is not the main type of operation during full-scale military operations. It is an auxiliary operation in the coastal direction. To carry it out, the enemy first had to achieve success on land. Not to seize Nikolayev, although this was also in his plans, but to bypass it from the north in order to encircle Odessa."
19:15 In Kyiv, two thirds of the generating capacity destroyed by Russian attacks have been restored, said Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleyev: "A colossal amount of work has been done, and now two thirds have been restored. What is important is that the most modern European technologies and equipment are being used. As a result, the city's energy facilities, built mainly during the Soviet period, are being modernized and are becoming much more efficient."
18:31 The Biden administration is working to organize his bilateral meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, an unnamed White House official said at a briefing.
17:50 On Sunday, July 7, from 7:00 to 15:00, electricity consumption will not be limited. From 00:00 to 7:00 and from 15:00 to 24:00, regional power companies will apply two stages of shutdowns simultaneously, Ukrenergo reported.
16:24 Ukraine received short-range Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems and missiles for them from Estonia, the Estonian Ministry of Defense reported.
15:18 This week alone, Russia used more than 600 guided aerial bombs, more than 60 Shahed drones and about 40 missiles of various types against Ukraine, Zelensky said.
14:50 A schedule of temporary power outages for household consumers is being introduced in the Rostov Region, the Rosseti Yug company reported. "After the power deficit is eliminated, the consumption restriction schedules will be cancelled and electricity supply will continue in normal mode," the company clarified, without explaining the reasons for the "deficit."
13:36 Russians fired Smerchi at Ukrainsk in the Selidovo community of Donetsk Oblast - currently, one person is known to have died and two to have been wounded. Four two-story buildings and one private home were damaged. Another person, according to preliminary information, was wounded in Pokrovsk. An administrative building was damaged in the city, said OVA head Vadim Filashkin.
11:12 As a result of yesterday's Russian strike on Selidovo in Donetsk Oblast, five people were killed and 15 were wounded, the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin specified. 21 private houses, three administrative buildings, an enterprise, a coffee shop, four stores, and market stalls were damaged.
11:07 Zelensky reported that Ukraine returned 3,310 of its citizens as a result of 53 exchanges.
10:41 Ukrenergo clarified that today power outages will not apply from 10:00 to 15:00 throughout Ukraine.
09:34 Bulgaria intends to offer itself as a mediator in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine at the NATO summit in Washington, said the country's acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. "I sincerely believe that we should advocate for peace talks, and Bulgaria will act as a mediator... But in order for us to be recognized as mediators, consent is necessary. It is important to emphasize that these peace talks must comply with the UN Charter and international law. These are conditions that, in my opinion, are not subject to discussion," he said.
09:26 In Donetsk Oblast, 11 people were killed as a result of Russian shelling on July 5: five in Selidovo, three in Chasovy Yar, one each in Komar, Toretsk and Ukrainsk. Another 43 people in the region were injured in the past 24 hours, said OVA head Vadim Filashkin.
08:48 The Russian army shelled one of the settlements in the Berislav district of the Kherson region with artillery at night, killing two people, the prosecutor's office reported. According to the OVA, over the past 24 hours, as a result of Russian shelling in the region, one person was killed and five were injured. A critical infrastructure facility and a gas pipeline were damaged.

08:02 Russians attacked a power facility in Sumy Oblast at night with a drone, Ukrenergo reported. Household and industrial consumers in Sumy and some areas of Kharkiv Oblast were cut off from power. By morning, power supply to most consumers had been restored. The city water utility of Sumy reported that due to the power outage at all water utility facilities, water supply to the city was temporarily cut off.
07:29 Drones attacked Krasnodar Krai at night, damaging an oil depot and a communications tower, the regional operational headquarters reported. Objects in Yeisk, Leningradsky and Pavlovsky districts were attacked. In Yeisk, according to official reports, all UAVs were shot down, "minor damage to a cell phone tower" was recorded. In the village of Pavlovskaya, "after UAV fragments fell," fuel storage tanks caught fire at an oil depot. A fuel tank is also on fire in the village of Leningradskaya. Local publics specify that a LUKOIL oil depot is on fire in the village of Pavlovskaya.

According to Reuters, several cases have emerged in recent months of Indians being lured to Russia with promises of lucrative jobs or education, only to end up fighting in Ukraine. Also in May, Indian police arrested four people linked to a human trafficking ring behind the practice. At least four Indian citizens have died in the war, prompting the Modi government to call for the immediate release of the Indians. The country estimates that 30 to 40 of its citizens may already be serving in the Russian military.
[LIFESITENEWS] The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) announced July 5 that it had declared former U.S Nuncio Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò to be guilty of "schism" and automatically excommunicated.
In a statement issued without warning to the Holy See press corps, the DDF stated that its Congress met on July 4 to decide against Viganò. The statement read:
On 4 July 2024, the Congress of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith met to conclude the extrajudicial penal process referred to in canon 1720 CIC against the Most Reverend Carlo Maria Viganò, titular Archbishop of Ulpiana, accused of the reserved delict of schism (canons 751 and 1364 CIC; art. 2 SST).
His public statements manifesting his refusal to recognize and submit to the Supreme Pontiff, his rejection of communion with the members of the Church subject to him, and of the legitimacy and magisterial authority of the Second Vatican Council are well known.
At the conclusion of the penal process, the Most Reverend Carlo Maria Viganò was found guilty of the reserved delict of schism.
The Dicastery declared the latae sententiae excommunication in accordance with canon 1364 § 1 CIC. The lifting of the censure in these cases is reserved to the Apostolic See. This decision was communicated to the Most Reverend Viganò on 5 July 2024.

He's publicly blistered the current Pope as illegitimate and said one could not simultaneously be in communion with this Pope and the Holy Catholic Church.

A lot of this relates to Theodore McCarrick. He was accused of basically running a homosexual cult. While he was stripped of his priestly offices, the other members of his cult seem to have gotten little or no punishment. Vigano vocally and in writing made this a point of discontent.

After Kámala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful, and Joe Biden's wing nut... ' campaign for president flamed out in late 2019, her Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, power-player ex advised against her accepting any offer to be second banana on the Democratic ticket, warning that the vice presidency would actually be the nail in the coffin to any future White House ambitions.
Former the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... mayor Willie Brown - now 90 - wrote an op-ed in the San Francisco Chronicle warning his one-time lover Harris to decline Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. ‘This Is A Man ThatDoes Not Seem Demented’... 's summer of 2020 offer, because 'historically, the vice presidency has often ended up being a dead end.'
'The glory would be short-lived, and historically, the vice presidency has often ended up being a dead end,' Brown wrote. 'For every George H.W. Bush, who ascended from the job to the presidency, there’s an Al Gore ...Former Vice President, Nobel Prize winner, Global Warming prophet and speculator, and crazed sex poodle Al Gore... , who never got there.'
But as Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... are now falling back in love with Harris out of necessity as they scramble to try and replace Biden at the top of the 2024 ticket following last week's cringe-worthy presidential debate performance, it appears that Brown got it all wrong.
Or at least he didn't account for opportunity knocking, because it is precisely Harris' position as VP that, despite her polling and behind-the-scenes unpopularity, has now made her the obvious choice in the eyes of many to replace Biden.
While Biden has insisted that he is fit to stay in the race and govern should he beat Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... in November, Democratic operatives have reportedly already chosen Harris, and are now even discussing who her running mate should be.
[FoxNews] The Canadian Pacific Kansas City train derailed with between 10 to 15 of the rail cars catching fire.
Rail cars carrying hazardous materials derailed in North Dakota on Friday and caught fire, the latest train derailment in the U.S. as concerns over railroads remain high.
Twenty-nine cars of a Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) train derailed around 3:45 a.m. in a marshy area surrounded by farmland that’s about 140 miles northwest of Fargo, according to Andrew Kirking, emergency management director for Foster County.
Video from the scene shows intense flames and thick black smoke rising high into the clear morning sky and the fire burned for at least 12 hours after the initial derailment. Kirking said it appeared that 10 to 15 of the rail cars caught fire.
By late afternoon Friday, responders were able to "go on the offensive" in fighting the flames and have had "some success knocking the fire down," Kirking said. With water on both sides of the tracks, officials were still working to get equipment close enough.
There were no injuries reported – with the engineer and conductor getting away safely-- and the threat to those living nearby appeared to be minimal.
It is unclear what caused the derailment.
The cars were carrying anhydrous ammonia, sulfur and methanol, with ammonia posing the biggest risk, according to Bill Suess, spill investigation program manager for the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality. However, wind was carrying the smoke away from the nearby town of Bordulac, which has about 20 residents.
Exposure to high concentrations of ammonia in the air can cause burning of the eyes, nose, throat and respiratory tract, and can result in blindness, lung damage or death, health officials say. Exposure to lower amounts can result in coughing and irritation of the nose and throat.

[LI] U.S. State Department and Pentagon say there are plans to ’disrupt’ new stations.
In April, my colleague James R. Nault noted that our country was facing major delays in the construction of Naval ships; meanwhile, the Chinese were going full steam ahead in expanding their fleet.
It appears the Chinese have also been busy constructing new spy stations. While that is not surprising, the location is rather disturbing.
Satellite imagery has reportedly identified four of these stations in Cuba.
Images captured from space show the growth of Cuba’s electronic eavesdropping stations that are believed to be linked to China, including new construction at a previously unreported site about 70 miles from the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, according to a new report.
The study from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington-based think tank, follows reporting last year by The Wall Street Journal that China and Cuba were negotiating closer defense and intelligence ties, including establishing a new joint military training facility on the island and an eavesdropping facility.
At the time, the Journal reported that Cuba and China were already jointly operating eavesdropping stations on the island, according to U.S. officials, who didn’t disclose their locations. It couldn’t be determined which, if any, of those are included in the sites covered by the CSIS report.

[REGNUM] Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has confirmed his status as the main enfant terrible of European politics. Four days after Hungary took over the European Union's presidency for six months and three days after visiting Kiev, the Hungarian leader made a surprise visit to Moscow for a nearly three-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Orban's visit was the first by a Western leader to Russia since April 2022. IA Regnum closely followed the statements of Putin, Orban and representatives of their teams, but it is worth looking in more detail at the different versions of why this meeting became possible and what consequences it may have. [GEO.TV] The chief organiser of an Indian preacher's event where a stampede killed 121 people this week surrendered to police on Friday, a lawyer for the preacher said, after police had launched a manhunt.
Devprakash Madhukar was named a key suspect in an initial report registered by police under charges including attempted culpable homicide. Police had announced a reward of 100,000 Indian rupees ($1,200) for information leading to his arrest.
AP Singh, lawyer for self-styled godman Bhole Baba, said Madhukar was the main organiser of the Hindu religious event on Tuesday attended by about 250,000 people in a village in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. District authorities had permitted an event of only 80,000 people.
"He has surrendered from Delhi. We are not seeking an anticipatory bail," Singh told news hounds. He denied any wrongdoing by the event's organisers and said Devprakash was getting medical treatment in a hospital after the stampede.
The preacher said on Saturday he was saddened by the incident and his aides would help the injured and families of the dear departed.
"I have faith that anyone who created the chaos will not be spared," he told Indian news agency ANI, in which Rooters has a minority stake.

[REGNUM] Ukraine has not been living for a long time, but surviving due to the influx of Western money, while due to huge and non-transparent expenses, the country has been repeatedly predicted to go bankrupt. Nevertheless, Western countries keep Kyiv afloat, negotiating new tranches for Ukraine. Ukraine's Western allies have spoken more than once about the current dangerous economic situation for the Kiev regime. As The Economist wrote, the Ukrainian authorities could declare default as early as August if they fail to agree on debt restructuring. Continued on Page 49

'Those who crossed border were sentenced to death': Gantz backs civilian action on Oct. 7 "The evidence regarding the citizens arrested on suspicion of unlawfully killing terrorists is not in my hands, and I trust the law enforcement forces. Along with this, it is important to say on a principled level - anyone who dared to cross the border line that day was sentenced to death [commited a capital offense]. All of them posed a clear and immediate danger," Gantz affirmed.
..."Therefore - in this situation, of chaos, surprise, and guerilla fighting for many hours, we must give a broad backing and full support to those who are fighting - soldier, policeman, or citizen. This is our duty towards those who saved human lives and protected our country, and I believe that the law enforcement system will also act in this spirit," Gantz concluded.
Last week, it was approved for publication that three civilians had been arrested on suspicion of killing a Nukhba terrorist on October 7. According to the police, that the three were not part of the combat forces at the time of the incident.

"Look at the destruction," the 39-year-old farmer told AFP, holding an uprooted tomato plant.
He pointed to his greenhouse’s metal frame and its white plastic sheeting strewn across the plot, inside an area designated a humanitarian zone by the Israeli army.
"People were sitting peacefully on their farmland ... and suddenly tanks arrived and fired at us, and then there were (air) strikes."
Abu Jazar said the Israeli operation in late June destroyed about 40 dunams (10 acres) of land and killed five labourers.
His is not an isolated case. Across Gaza, 57% of agricultural land has been damaged since the war began, according to a joint assessment published in June by the UN’s agriculture and satellite imagery agencies, FAO and UNOSAT.
The damage threatens Gaza’s food illusory sovereignty, Matieu Henry of the Food and Agriculture Organization told AFP, because 30% of the Paleostinian territory’s food consumption comes from agricultural land.
"If almost 60% of the agricultural land has been damaged, this may have a significant impact in terms of food security and food supply."

[IsraelTimes] Officials had long claimed explosion which killed 91 in Tyre was a gas leak, but investigation headed by former general finds intentional attack to be far more likely
After more than 41 years, a new commission of inquiry into a deadly explosion at Israel’s military headquarters in Tyre during the First Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... War has determined that the blast was a suicide kaboom, officials said Wednesday

[Regnum] The authorities of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger have decided to form a confederation of Sahel states, France Presse (AFP) reported on July 6, citing a statement by the leaders of these African countries.
Brilliant idea. The United Arab Republic (Egypt plus Syria) lasted for an entire three years, so this is sure to be a winner.
At least these are on the same continent.
The article specifies that this decision was made following the results of the 1st summit of the Alliance of Sahel States held in Niamey, which was attended by the leaders of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
Thus, following the summit, a statement was adopted stating that the countries had decided to take another step towards greater integration. To this end, they concluded an agreement to create a confederation between Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
There are 12 countries in the Sahel region of Africa.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, in mid-March, the Niger authorities broke the agreement with the United States, which allowed American troops to be on the territory of the West African country. A representative of the new Niger authorities explained that this decision was made after Washington violated diplomatic protocol.
In May, Reuters reported, citing a Pentagon spokesman, that Russian troops had appeared in Niger's capital Niamey, on the grounds of an air base housing U.S. troops. The move followed a decision by Nigerien authorities to expel nearly 1,000 U.S. troops from the country.
In June, the United States officially began withdrawing its troops from Niger. According to the chief of staff of the republic's ground forces, Colonel Mamane Sani Kiau, 269 American troops and 946 tons of military equipment have already left the country.

[APNEWS] Shootings and other violence during the extended Fourth of July weekend have left at least 33 people dead, including 11 in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... , and injured dozens more nationwide, authorities said.
The Fourth of July historically is one of the nation’s deadliest days of the year. A flurry of shootings around the holiday a year ago left more than a dozen people dead and over 60 maimed. And a year before that, seven people died in a mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade near Chicago.
Violence and mass shootings often increase in the summer months, with more people gathering for social events, teens out of school and hotter temperatures.
Chicago ’in state of grief’
In Chicago alone, 11 people had been killed and 55 maimed in shootings as of Friday morning during the extended July Fourth weekend, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The violence included a mass shooting on Thursday that killed two women and an 8-year-old boy.
The recent violence "has left our city in a state of grief," Mayor Brandon Johnson ...Hizzonner da Mare of Chicago. He was elected in April 2023 to replace the disastrous Lori Lightfoot and immediately set about out-Richtering her. A member of the Democratic Party (naturally), Johnson previously worked as a social studies teacher in the city's stellar public schools system. He helped organize the 2012 teachers strike. Prior to becoming Da Mare, he served on the Cook County Board of Boodlng Commissioners from 2018 to 2023... said.
A community rally was planned for Friday evening, and the city will beef up police presence over the weekend, Johnson said in a statement.
[BREITBART] During an interview with ABC News on Friday, President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity.... said that he realized he was doing poorly in last week’s presidential debate when he noticed that "even when I was answering a question, even though they turned his mic off," his opponent, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... , "was still shouting. And I let it distract me." Biden elaborated that he isn’t blaming that for his performance, but that caused him to realize "that I just wasn’t in control."
ABC host George Stephanopoulos asked, "And how quickly did it come to you that you were having that bad night?"
Biden responded, "Well, it came to me that I was having a bad night when I realized that, even when I was answering a question, even though they turned his mic off, he was still shouting. And I let it distract me. I’m not blaming it on that. But I realized that I just wasn’t in control."
Elsewhere in the interview, Biden also gave other reasons for his poor performance in the debate, like being sick and tired, not following his instincts when it came to preparation, the toll of his first term in office, and said the blame solely falls on him for having a bad night.

[BREITBART] Singer-actress Bette Midler, star of Disney’s Hocus Pocus 2, suggested that President Joe Biden arrest Republican members of Congress and allow the FBI to use deadly force in order regain Democrat House majority.
Back before she got stupidly political, Bette Midler was the kind of performer who could be known as the bawdy Barbra Streisand of her generation. Now she is described by the latest stupid thing she said and a cheesy, straight-to-video Disney sequel. Sad.
“Now that Joe has total immunity, many are urging him to be GOP ruthless. Here’s a suggestion for implementing his new powers,” Midler wrote in a Friday X post, sharing a screenshot from an opinion piece published by The New Republic.
The Ruthless People actress shared a specific section of the article that fantasized about a scenario in which Biden orders the arrests of several Republican members of Congress, which included a scene depicting Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) getting shot and killed while resisting arrest.
“I regret to inform you that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has been arrested. A number of other members of the House Republican Conference have been taken into custody,” the fantasy read.
“Jim Jordan, unfortunately, attempted to resist arrest. After wrestling with an FBI agent, he met a tragic fate. In the sudden absence of those members, there is a new majority in the House,” it continued.
The hypothetical scenario concluded, stating, “I look forward to a long and cooperative relationship. I can say proudly, gridlock is at last broken. And we can all give thanks to the Supreme Court.”
Midler is not the only actress fantasying about killing Republicans and urging Biden to take measures that would result in assassinations.
This week, Netflix’s Orange is the New Black actress Lea DeLaria, literally and emphatically called on Biden to assassinate former President Donald Trump in response to the Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, posting a video for her 1.1 million Instagram followers urging Biden to “blow him up.”
“Joe, you now have the right to take that bitch Trump out. Take him out, Joe,” DeLaria said. “If he was Hitler, and this was 1940, would you take him out? Well, he is Hitler. And this is 1940. Take him the fuck out! Blow him up, or they’ll blow us up. Facts.”

[BREITBART] CLAIM: During an interview with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos, President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family... repeated a false claim that former President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... told people to "put bleach" in their arms.
VERDICT: FALSE. Trump was talking about experimental ultraviolet (UV) light technology and how it is used as a disinfectant and questioned whether it might be possible to "inject" into the human body.
During an interview with Stephanopolous on Friday, Biden claimed Trump was a "congenital liar" and referenced how Trump told people "to put bleach" in their arms in order to "deal with" COVID-19.
"The man is a congenital liar. As I said, they pointed out in that debate, he lied 27, 28 times. Whatever number, over 20 times," Biden said. "Talk about how good his economy was, how he brought down inflation. This is a guy, who unlike all the other presidents, other than him is Hoover, lost more jobs than he created. This is a guy who told us to put bleach in our arms to deal with COVID. Over a million people died."

The health ministry in the Hamas-run territory, which condemned the strike as an "odious massacre", said 50 injured were taken to hospital from the school.
Some 7,000 people were sheltering in the school at the time of the attack, the Hamas government press office said. Dozens of people scrambled through the rubble after the strike to find survivors.
The press office said the school was run by the UN agency for Paleostinian refugees, UNRWA, and most of the casualties were "children, women, and elderly".
"This is the fourth time they have targeted the school without warning," said one woman, Samah Abu Amsha, who told how some children were killed as they read the Holy Koran in a class when the missile hit.

[Axios] Axios is on the Biden Defenestration Assault. Popcorn anyone?
President Biden's White House went around its normal processes for his first post-debate interview with a Black radio station earlier this week.
Why it matters: The White House helped draft the questions that the host asked the president. Then the Biden campaign sent them to the radio station, given it was technically a campaign interview, a person familiar with the matter tells Axios.

[PJMEDIA] One Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, district attorney is determined to ditch the soft-on-crime policies of Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... in the state and hold brutal murderers accountable.
Orange County (OC) DA Todd Spitzer’s Twitter/X profile says he is "ensuring OC never becomes LA" or the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... , and that’s obvious from his new announcement. While San Fran uses taxpayer dollars to buy booze for homeless alcoholics, and a Los Angeles DA sits on a backlog of 15,000 unfiled criminal cases amidst spiking crime, murderers of an elderly grandma in OC could receive the death penalty if convicted. One of the murderers in question has a criminal history in LA County, but unfortunately, too many California DAs in woke areas prioritize criminals over victims and refuse to take decisive action. That allows for egregious repeat offenses.
Spitzer says the three LA County men arrested for a daylight robbery and murder of a grandma in Newport Beach will all face charges of "special circumstances" murder, Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin posted. That means the criminals will be eligible for the death penalty if they are indeed convicted. One killer is a "third-striker" with a "lengthy" LA County criminal history, as noted above.
"This is Orange County and we refuse to accept this is the new normal," Spitzer’s statement emphasized. "Criminals will be held accountable and violence will never be acceptable."

[HOTAIR] When you think of President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Gave an airbase and billions in military hardware to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... and called it an "extraordinary success"... these days, who does he remind you of? You might invoke your impression of an elderly relative who is similarly struggling with cognitive issues. The less charitable among us might make a reference to Elmer Fudd or some other frequently befuddled character. But that's not the view that Democratic Congressman Don Beyer of Virginia holds. While introducing Biden at a fundraiser earlier this week, Beyer compared the President to none other than Jesus Christ. This was a case of setting the bar very high, to say the least. But what is it about Joe Biden that reminds Beyer of the Savior so much? Apparently it's his ability to endure hardship and suffering. A Beyer spokesperson later attempted to deny that his boss was drawing such a comparison, but a transcript of the remarks leaves little doubt as to what he was saying. (Free Beacon)
Embattled president Joe Biden has had a rough life, much like Jesus Christ, according to a House Democratic ally of the president.
Rep. Don Beyer (D., Va.) invoked the crucifixion of Jesus during introductory remarks at a McLean, Va., fundraiser, one of the president’s first appearances since a disastrous debate performance last week. "He died to demonstrate the universality of human suffering—that suffering was not the end," Beyer said of Jesus. "We each endure tragedies in our lives and hardships and suffering."
"But few had to endure more than this man," Beyer said of Biden, according to a White House press pool recording of the event. "Losing his wife, losing his daughter, and losing his son. The vicissitudes of American politics."
[FoxNews] The Biden administration recently allowed Iranian citizens to vote in the totalitarian regime's sham presidential election from makeshift booths in a handful of U.S. hotels, drawing the ire of the terror-sponsoring nation's critics.
Biden green-lighted Iranian regime voting stations across America for election of the president of the Islamic Republic. The contest on Friday resulted in the victory of Masoud Pezeshkian, a heart surgeon, over the former nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili. Pezeshkian secured secured 53.3% of the vote while Jalili received 44.3%.

[Regnum] 70 weapons and 255,000 rounds of ammunition were confiscated from citizens preparing a coup d'etat in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the RIA Novosti publication, citing the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan.
According to media reports, as a result of the searches, "50 weapons, 20 pistols, 255,000 units of ammunition were discovered." The security forces also found other items that indicated a planned coup. For example, 200 sets of law enforcement uniforms, 38 bulletproof vests, two drones, radios, homemade explosives, and extremist literature were seized.
Also during the search, "personal documents of a number of citizens were found, including a military ID belonging to the deputy of the Zhogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Marlen Mamataliev." It is specified that additional investigative and operational measures are being carried out on this fact.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on July 5, Kyrgyzstan's special services prevented an attempt at a coup d'etat in the country, neutralizing a group of people who were planning to seize power by violent means. Five people were detained as part of the criminal investigation.
Earlier it became known that the Kyrgyz special services accused the director of a construction company and activist Imamidin Tashov of attempting a coup d'etat. A criminal case was opened against him for the violent seizure of power and abuse of authority.
[LI] Somebody watched the debate and interview Taipei Times: "Chinese aircraft flew into airspace to the north, center and southern part of Taiwan."
Amid looming doubts about President Joe Biden’s mental fitness, Taiwan is reporting Chinese military activity around the island nation. Taiwanese military detected Chinese fighter jets and warships near its territorial waters, Taiwan’s media reported Saturday.
Dozens of Chinese warplanes breached the Taiwanese air defense zone from multiple directions in last 24 hours. Taiwan’s "Ministry of National Defense (MND) tracked 30 Chinese military aircraft and nine naval vessels around Taiwan" between Friday morning and early Saturday, the news website Taiwan News reported. "Of the 30 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, 23 crossed the Taiwan Strait median line and entered the northern, southwestern, and southeastern air defense identification zone (ADIZ), according to the MND."
The Chinese military provocation comes as Beijing works on advance battle plans to capture the island. In late May, the China’s People Liberation Army (PLA) conducted "two days of war games around Taiwan in which it simulated attacks with bombers and practiced boarding ships," Reuters reported. "The Chinese military’s Eastern Theatre Command, whose forces carried out the drills, released a video on its social media accounts on Saturday called "A six-word rhyme on smashing independence", set to stirring martial music."
The war game was followed by a "joint combat readiness patrol" by Chinese fighter jets and warships near Taiwan. "There has been a significant increase in Chinese military flights since Thursday, according to Taipei, as Beijing conducted a "joint combat readiness patrol" near the island," Germany’s DW TV reported June 24. "From Thursday to Sunday, Taiwan reported detecting 115 Chinese military aircraft in the vicinity, with some coming as close as 31 nautical miles (57 kilometers) from the island’s southern tip."
The newspaper Taipei Times reported Saturday:
The Ministry of National Defense yesterday reported renewed Chinese military activity nearby with another "combat patrol," as the government called on Beijing not to escalate tensions after the seizure of a Taiwanese fishing boat.
On Tuesday, China Coast Guard officials boarded and detained a Taiwanese fishing boat for illegally operating in its waters, in what the head of the National Security Bureau on Thursday said might be an act of psychological warfare.

Volchansk: The Russian Armed Forces have pushed back the enemy in the central part of the city, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces have expanded their zone of control on the eastern outskirts of Volchansk. The fighting, as before, is essentially of a counter nature. The Russian Armed Forces are seeking to establish control over the central part of the city.
The enemy, in turn, is trying to counterattack using the transferred reserves in order to push the RF Armed Forces into the northern part of the city, and if they are lucky, to bring Volchansk back under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The prolongation of these battles in the current circumstances is more advantageous for the RF Armed Forces, since the enemy reserves transferred here are tied to these battles and cannot be quickly transferred to Chasov Yar, New York or Ocheretino, where there is an obvious shortage of reserves to stabilize the front

[KavkazUzel] The niqab problem is far-fetched for Russia, but its ban in Dagestan and Karachay-Cherkessia will be followed by an attack on the hijab and other attributes of Islam, Islamic scholars interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" are sure. The discussion about the niqab has become a test of society's reaction to a sensitive issue, but it is unlikely to be followed by a ban on the hijab, their colleague objected.
As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Karachay-Cherkessia (SAM KCR) banned the wearing of niqabs "until the threats are eliminated and a new theological conclusion is reached." The chairman of the presidium of the SAM KCR, Ismail Berdiev, explained the decision by the corresponding resolution of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, which he also heads.

[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] The state of Washington has effectively abolished its long-standing residency requirement for voter registration.
The decision, led by Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs (D) and Attorney General Bob Ferguson (D), is another attempt by Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... to cheat on the presidential election.
The Center Square reports that through agency rLearned Elders of Islamking, Hobbs’ office has removed a provision that has been a part of Washington’s electoral framework since the state’s original 1889 Constitution.
This move follows a consent decree earlier this year, settling a 2023 lawsuit that claimed the residency requirement violated federal law, due to a 2018 state law.
Article VI, Section 1 of the Washington Constitution mandated that a person must be a resident of the state for 30 days before the election to register to vote.
However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome... the Washington State Alliance for Retired Americans filed a lawsuit in November 2023, arguing that this requirement was in violation of the U.S. Voting Rights Act Amendments of 1970, which prohibits residency requirements for federal elections.
The lawsuit claimed that this "pre-election durational residency requirement" — which voters must attest to satisfying on voter registration forms — "is longer than the registration deadline and...therefore prevents voters who could otherwise lawfully register and cast ballots from doing so just because they moved into the state, county or precinct too recently."
The plaintiff contends that Washington’s durational residency requirement disenfranchises voters who move to the state or within the state (to a new county or precinct) fewer than 30 days before Election Day.
As a result, these individuals are barred from voting in the upcoming election and cannot elect state or local officials who would represent their current residence. This regulation is crucial for maintaining the fairness of our elections and preventing voter fraud.
In response, the state Legislature passed Senate Bill 6021 in 2018, allowing voters to register as late as 8 p.m. on Election Day.
"Voter registrations submitted electronically or through the mail must be received eight days before an election for a person to be eligible to participate in that election. Voter registrations may be submitted in-person at the county auditor’s office, county elections office, or another location designated by the county auditor up to 8:00 p.m. the day of the election for a person to participate in that election. A person may update their voter registration information up to 8:00 p.m. the day of the election."

Monitoring the process? Don't tell me the technology isn't available. The "house" watches every play, and at the end of the day the house never loses.

Certainly, it is a loss but I don’t see how this case significantly changes things even in Washington. Voting in national elections by non-citizens remains a crime. Voting more than once in the same election remains a crime. I have never seen a ballot for a national election that didn’t include local issues and candidates as well. The residency requirement for local elections remains in place or Washington will have even more chaos than it already has. Washington is not a contested state.
Additionally, the significant cheating on national elections is all either electronic or via fake absentee ballots tied to unused or registrations. No fake voters were ever intimidated by a residency requirement.
Non-citizens that register and vote in Ohio are prosecuted. In Washington that surely does not happen, but even there voter rolls are public records and can be searched and challenged. Does the residency exist? Can the residency hold 200 people? Make trouble and the cockroaches scurry like Biden shills.
