Africa Subsaharan
Nelson Mandela's Dream Has Been Subverted
[RedState] With the end of Apartheid in South Africa came the dream of new beginnings, a "Rainbow Nation" that would make racial division a thing of the past. In the famous phrasing of President Nelson Mandela’s 1994 Inaugural Address: "Each of us is as intimately attached to the soil of this beautiful country as are the famous jacaranda trees of Pretoria and the mimosa trees of the bushveld — a rainbow nation at peace with itself and the world." The 2009 film "Invictus" helped many international audiences appreciate for the first time how South Africans of all backgrounds came together around the new flag and the new system out of common love of country during the 1995 Rugby Cup.

Unfortunately, the current leadership of the nation has abandoned Mandela’s dream in favor of democratic backsliding, antagonistic rhetoric and policies against minority groups, a troubling alignment with the world’s most vicious human rights abusers, and increasing levels of antisemitic scapegoating. Nowhere does this toxic stew of policies come together more noxiously than with South Africa’s case against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Trump Administration has rightly targeted the ICC for dangerously perverting its intended role as it targets democracies executing self-defense rather than genuine aggressors and perpetrators of atrocities. It is also time to trace the problem back to its source and demand change from the originator of the ugly ICC case against Israel — South Africa.

South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, has sought to distract from his domestic abuses by accusing Israel of "Apartheid." But Apartheid is an Afrikaans term unique to South Africa that describes an ugly system similar to segregation, whereby that country treated people differently based on their race, even prohibiting romantic relationships between people of different races. In Israel, in contrast, citizens of all races and religions have had full civil, social, and political rights since the country’s independence.

Actually, it is modern South Africa, not Israel, that is aggressively reducing the rights of minority citizens. South Africa’s Expropriation Act, signed into law by Ramaphosa on January 23, 2025, allows the South African parliament, as well as all local, provincial, and national authorities, to seize land from private citizens without any compensation if that is considered "just and reasonable." Ramaphose claims to be acting against "white privilege" and backs up these policies with inciteful rhetoric like, "Don't fear white people, their time has passed, and they no longer have power."

Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor Suggests Court Is Overturning Precedents Too Quickly
[Epoch Times] U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia
"Wise Latina"
Sotomayor said the conservative majority on the Court is overturning so many longstanding precedents so quickly that public confidence in it is flagging.

"I think my Court would probably gather more public support if it went a little more slowly in undoing precedent," Sotomayor said on Feb. 5 in remarks at the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in Kentucky.

Public approval of the High Court stood at 44 percent in September 2024, with 51 percent disapproving, according to Gallup polling. Court approval has been underwater since September 2021 when it was 40 percent to 53 percent. President Donald Trump’s third conservative appointee, Amy Coney Barrett, joined the Court in October 2020.
So public opinion has improved since the 'conservative justices' came into 'power'.
Since Trump’s first term began, the Court reversed Roe v. Wade, finding there was no constitutional right to abortion, ended affirmative action in the college admission process, and upheld broad immunity for presidents for official acts.

Sotomayor did not identify specific precedents but said the public becomes wary when the Court "moves too quickly in upheavals."
Well, the public must be super-hyper wary since January 20.

No, your other SCOTUS members are placing the Constitution before precedents. The reason the court is losing confidence is clearly displayed by the partisan hacks in robes who fail to grasp the text of the Constitution.

#5  Lots of brouhaha over the obvious overreach of so many federal judges outside of the Supremes and virtually no information about historical precedents and what Congress can do under the Constitution in regulating federal courts.
See Act of March 3, 1863, 12 Stat. 762 which eliminat the then-existing DC circuit court, district court, and criminal court without providing for continued service by the sitting judges. One problematic judge simply lost his position. New judges on the new court system were then appointed & ratified in the usual way and did the usual thing. The judge that was "fired" this way turned out to be appointed to the replacement court - in 1885. He died in 1889.
Does anything prohibit the Congress from abolishing the DC court system one more time? I expect in response to this, as per usual.

Government Corruption
USAID Funded Massive 'News' Platform, Extending 'Censorship Industrial Complex' To Billions Worldwide
[ZeroHedge] In addition to propping up far-left corporate media outlets like Politico and the BBC with taxpayer funds, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has funneled half a billion dollars to a secretive non-governmental organization operating a global news propaganda matrix.

WikiLeaks published the bombshell report in the overnight hours that shows the massive taxpayer-funded state propaganda network - operating as a shady NGO - called "Internews Network":

USAID has pushed nearly half a billion dollars ($472.6m) through a secretive US government financed NGO, "Internews Network" (IN), which has "worked with" 4,291 media outlets, producing in one year 4,799 hours of broadcasts reaching up to 778 million people and "training" over 9000 journalists (2023 figures). IN has also supported social media censorship initiatives.

The operation claims "offices" in over 30 countries, including main offices in US, London, Paris and regional HQs in Kiev, Bangkok and Nairobi. It is headed up by Jeanne Bourgault, who pays herself $451k a year. Bourgault worked out of the US embassy in Moscow during the early 1990s, where she was in charge of a $250m budget, and in other revolts or conflicts at critical times, before formally rotating out of six years at USAID to IN.

Bourgault's IN bio and those of its other key people and board members have been recently scrubbed from its website but remain accessible at http://archive.org. Records show the board being co-chaired by Democrat securocrat Richard J. Kessler and Simone Otus Coxe, wife of NVIDIA billionaire Trench Coxe, both major Democratic donors. In 2023, supported by Hillary Clinton, Bourgault launched a $10m IN fund at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). The IN page showing a picture of Bourgault at the CGI has also been deleted.

IN has at least six captive subsidiaries under unrelated names including one based out of the Cayman Islands. Since 2008, when electronic records begin, more than 95% of IN's budget has been supplied by the US government (thread follows).

Chicago Alderman: We're Getting More Upset at Trump for Enforcement than at Biden for Letting Criminals Into City
[Breitbart] On Friday’s broadcast of “NewsNation Now,” Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez discussed the lawsuit between the Department of Justice and the city of Chicago, Cook County, and the state of Illinois over sanctuary policies and stated that it’s bizarre that officials weren’t upset at the Biden administration for allowing dangerous illegal immigrants to remain in Chicago and are only getting “upset now that judgment has come” under the Trump administration.

Lopez said, “[W]hat I think is important for your viewers to remember is that the target list that Tom Homan is going off of was compiled under the Biden administration.
Oh?
They knew we had 2,000, at least 2,000 dangerous individuals in our city that were threats to our neighborhoods and our country that they allowed to come here that they are only now going after.”

He continued, “But yet, no one is questioning why Biden allowed that to happen, they’re only upset now that judgment has come.”

Lopez also stated that frontline police officers are frustrated by the sanctuary policy.

Government Corruption
Sen. Cynthia Lummis: Biden Admin Spent $8 Million Teaching Sri Lankan Journalists How to Avoid ‘Binary Gendered Language'
[Breitbart] The Biden administration wasted $8 billion of taxpayer money teaching Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid “binary gendered language,” Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) said, listing a variety of ways American taxpayers’ dollars have been wasted.

“Here are some of the ways the last administration have wasted your money,” Lummis, a member of the DOGE caucus, began. “More than $4.5 million to combat disinformation in Kazakhstan. And just whose disinformation is it? I think that’s probably in the eye of the beholder.”

“$20 million for a new Sesame Street show in Iraq. $25 million for Deloitte to promote green transportation in the country of Georgia. Nearly $8 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid quote ‘binary gendered language.’ Binary gendered language in Sri Lanka — you’ve got to be kidding me,” she continued.

Another $5 million, she said, went to EcoHealth Alliance, “one of the key NGOs — non-government organizations — funding bat virus research at the Wuhan lab,” she revealed.

“$20 million for a group related, by the way, to a key player in the Russiagate impeachment hoax,” she said. “$1.5 million to rebuild the Cuban media ecosystem, [and] 1.5 million on DEI programs in Serbia — diversity, equity and inclusion programs in Serbia,” she emphasized.

The examples come to light as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, moves to slash government waste, saving American taxpayers millions of dollars. Already, DOGE noted that taxpayers have saved $1 billion with the termination of federal DEI contracts alone.

Millions more have been saved by terminating the leases of underutilized buildings, and much, much more. In an update on Thursday, DOGE noted that 78 contracts “were terminated for convenience across DEI, Non-Performing, Media, and Consulting categories, including one for ‘groundwater exploration and assessment in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.'”

“Approximately $110mm of total savings,” it added.

President Donald Trump made waves this week after freezing millions of dollars in United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funds for foreign media, as he put a “90-day hold on all USAID’s foreign aid this week,” Breitbart News reported.

Karen Bass Awards Rebuilding Contract to Hagerty Behind Closed Doors
[Breitbart] Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass awarded the “rebuilding” contract for the recent fires to Hagerty Consulting for an unknown amount of money after a process that was conducted behind closed doors and without any public bids.

The contract appears to breaks a promise by Chief Recovery Officer Steve Soboroff, who told Breitbart News last month that there would be a competitive bidding process. According to the Los Angeles Times, the city considered three companies, not one of which is based in California, in a “closed door” process, agreeing on an undisclosed sum.

The Times reported:

“We have selected Hagerty, a world-class disaster recovery firm, to provide expertise and operational support to facilitate our comprehensive recovery effort,” Bass said during a news conference at which she provided updates on fire recovery and the city’s progress in the month since the Palisades fire wreaked widespread devastation on the coastal enclave and surrounding areas, destroying more than 6,800 structures. At least 12 people were killed.

In the days since Bass toured the Palisades with Soboroff, her search for a recovery contractor has been mostly shrouded in secrecy. The mayor, along with four council members and other city officials, heard presentations from three firms at a closed door meeting last week.

Hagerty, AECOM and the disaster recovery and response firm IEM gave brief Zoom presentations during the meeting.

As Breitbart News reported, Hagerty is a “woke” firm owned by former Evanston, Illinois, mayor Steve Hagerty, who “appointed his city’s first chief equity officer, and signed a resolution to recognize that his city’s land was stolen from Native Americans by ‘white colonizers’.”

Hagerty has given maximum contributions exclusively to Democratic candidates for federal office, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars over the past decade.

Bass has emergency powers to appoint consultants without a public competitive process, but that is not what Soboroff said the city would do. He also said that the mandate of the consultant firm would be to act as an “owner’s rep” to oversee rebuilding activities. But no terms for the contract awarded to Hagerty appeared to have been made public.

Soboroff has been criticized for his $500,000 salary over three months, funded by unnamed private philanthropists.

Europe
Germany Protests Against ‘Far-Right' Being Funded by Left-Wing Government: Report
[Breitbart] Hundreds of thousands of protesters took to the streets of Germany over the past week to demonstrate against the so-called “far-right”, however, a top publication has reported that activist groups involved have been funded by the left-wing government in Berlin.

A supposedly organic outpouring of opposition to the surging Alternative for Germany (AfD) ahead of the federal elections on February 23rd has been called into question by a report from Bild, the highest circulation newspaper in Europe, which quipped that the “distances from the government district to the mass demonstrations are quite short.”

Last Sunday, around 160,000 people demonstrated in Berlin over the decision by the centrist Christian Democratic Union (CDU) to join with the populist AfD on an immigration vote.

One of the main organisers of the event was the “Together against the right” activist network, which was identified by Bild as a being a cutout for the leftist group Campact. According to the paper, Campact is the main shareholder in the NGO HateAid, which has received nearly 2.5 million euros from the federal government since 2020.

The Association for Environmental Protection and Nature Conservation (BUND), which has also been active in organising against the rise of the political right in Germany, was found by the report to have secured around two million euros in funding from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, led by Green chancellor candidate and outgoing finance minister Robert Habeck.

The left-wing environmentalist group is also said to have received six-figure handouts from both the Ministry of the Environment and Education in 2023.

Bild also noted the group’s politically nepotistic nature. Verena Graichen, the deputy chairwoman of BUND, is married to Michael Kellner, the Parliamentary State Secretary under Habeck. Graichen is also the sister of the former State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Another group active in organising against upswell in support of the AfD has been the “grandmas against the right”, which was involved in a demonstration of around 24,000 people in Hanover on Saturday. The group has reportedly received at least 23,000 euros from the federal government.

It is not the first time that left-wing organisations funded by the German government have targeted the anti-mass migration party. In 2023, the taxpayer-subsidised and Soros-funded non-profit Correctiv published an “undercover” investigative report claiming that a conference attended by AfD members and Austrian identitarian activist Martin Sellner had seen calls for the “deportations of people from Germany based on a set of racist criteria, regardless of whether or not they have German citizenship.”

Attendees, including a member of the centrist Christian Democratic Union (CDU), denied the leftist organisation’s claims, which were based on hearsay rather than in-person journalism.

Nevertheless, the ensuing scandal resulted in millions of protesters taking to the streets and the AfD suffering a setback in the polls.

In addition to facing government-funded activism, there have been calls to ban the Alternative for Germany party altogether to supposedly protect democracy. Despite this, the party has continued to grow in support, particularly in the wake of multiple terror attacks over the past year committed in Germany by migrants.

This has coincided with a drastic decline in support for the governing leftist Social Democratic Party (SPD). According to a poll by the Tyson Group, conducted on behalf of the American-based EU-US Forum, a “staggering” 70 per cent of Germans disapprove of SPD Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s job performance.

Tyson Group Vice President Alex Alvarado noted that it comes amid a broader pushback against leftist governments throughout the European Union, with the survey finding that a majority in France, Germany, and the Netherlands believe the EU is heading in the wrong direction.

“Issues like the rising cost of living, healthcare, and migration remain top concerns, while conservative solutions like stricter border controls and a focus on domestic food production garnered widespread support. This survey highlights a clear shift toward conservatism across Europe, with citizens expressing frustration with high taxes, government inefficiency, and the perceived rise of the far-left,” he said.

Energy experts blast failed billion-dollar [Obama] DOE project as 'financial boondoggle,' 'disaster'
[FoxNews] A major solar power plant project that was granted over a billion dollars in federal loans is on the road to closure, with energy experts blasting the project as a "boondoggle" that harmed the environment.

In 2011, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) under former President Barack Obama issued $1.6 billion in loan guarantees to finance the Ivanpah Solar Power Facility, a green energy project that consists of three solar concentrating thermal power plants in California.

The facility was touted by then-Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz as an "example of how America is becoming a world leader in solar energy." But after 10 years, the federally funded plant is now on track to close.

"Ivanpah is yet another failed green energy boondoggle, much like Solyndra," Jason Isaac, CEO of the American Energy Institute, an American energy advocacy group, told Fox News Digital in a statement. "Despite receiving $1.6 billion in federal loan guarantees, it never lived up to its promises, producing less electricity than expected while still relying on natural gas to stay operational."

"Now, with its power contracts canceled, Ivanpah stands as a testament to the waste and inefficiency of government-subsidized energy schemes," Isaac said.

Ivanpah consists of three individual units, two of which were contracted by Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) in 2009 and scheduled to run until 2039.

In January, PG&E announced plans to cancel its agreement with Ivanpah 14 years early, determining that "ending the agreements at this time will save customers money compared to the cost of keeping them through 2039" – ultimately putting Ivanpah on notice for closure.

"The Ivanpah plant was a financial boondoggle and environmental disaster," Julia Dowell of the Sierra Club, an environmental activism group, said of the power plant.

OVERRIDE - Inside The Revolution Rewiring American Power EKO
[EKO Loves You] The clock struck 2 AM on Jan 21, 2025.
In Treasury's basement, fluorescent lights hummed above four young coders. Their screens cast blue light across government-issue desks, illuminating energy drink cans and agency badges. As their algorithms crawled through decades of payment data, one number kept growing: $17 billion in redundant programs. And counting.

"We're in," Akash Bobba messaged the team. "All of it."

Edward Coristine's code had already mapped three subsystems. Luke Farritor's algorithms were tracing payment flows across agencies. Ethan Shaotran's analysis revealed patterns that career officials didn't even know existed. By dawn, they would understand more about Treasury's operations than people who had worked there for decades.

This wasn't a hack. This wasn't a breach. This was authorized disruption.

While career bureaucrats prepared orientation packets and welcome memos, DOGE's team was already deep inside the payment systems. No committees. No approvals. No red tape. Just four coders with unprecedented access and algorithms ready to run.

"The beautiful thing about payment systems," noted a transition official watching their screens, "is that they don't lie. You can spin policy all day long, but money leaves a trail."

That trail led to staggering discoveries. Programs marked as independent revealed coordinated funding streams. Grants labeled as humanitarian aid showed curious detours through complex networks. Black budgets once shrouded in secrecy began to unravel under algorithmic scrutiny.

By 6 AM, Treasury's career officials began arriving for work. They found systems they thought impenetrable already mapped. Networks they believed hidden already exposed. Power structures built over decades revealed in hours.

Their traditional defenses—slow-walking decisions, leaking damaging stories, stonewalling requests—proved useless against an opponent moving faster than their systems could react. By the time they drafted their first memo objecting to this breach, three more systems had already been mapped.

"Pull this thread," a senior official warned, watching patterns emerge across DOGE's screens, "and the whole sweater unravels."

He wasn't wrong. But he misunderstood something crucial: That was exactly the point.

This wasn't just another transition. This wasn't just another reform effort. This was the start of something unprecedented: a revolution powered by preparation, presidential will, and technological precision.

The storm had arrived. And Treasury was just the beginning.

THE FOUNDATION
"Personnel is policy."

For decades, this principle, articulated by conservative strategist Troup Hemenway, remained more theory than practice. Previous administrations spent months, even years, trying to staff key positions. Trump's first term saw barely 100 political appointees confirmed by February 2017.

Every delay meant another victory for the permanent bureaucracy.

But this time was different.

While media focused on campaign rallies and political theater, a quiet army was being assembled. In offices across DC, veteran strategists mapped the administrative state's pressure points. Think tanks developed action plans for every agency. Policy institutes trained rapid deployment teams. Former appointees shared battlefield intelligence from previous administrations' failures.

By Inauguration Day, over 1,000 pre-vetted personnel stood ready—each armed with clear objectives, mapped legal authorities, and direct lines to support networks. This wasn't just staffing; it was a battle plan decades in the making.

"This is the new normal," Vice President JD Vance declared from his West Wing office, studying real-time data flows across agency systems. "He's having the time of his life," he added, referring to the President's relentless drive. "We've done more in two weeks than others did in years."

German Vice Chancellor: Israel Will "Certainly And Hopefully Bear Responsibility" For Gaza War
Link is to an article in German mostly about domestic issues.
This is the passage about Israel in translation.

[DieWelt] In response to a student's question on Friday, Habeck also commented on his decisions regarding arms deliveries to Israel. The pupil called Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip "contrary to international law" and wanted to know how Habeck, as Economics Minister, justifies such supply decisions. Habeck replied that he had "weighed up" which weapons systems to give to Israel - just as he did with other "difficult" countries.

The line was therefore: "What Israel needs for protection, it gets. What can be used in direct combat in the Gaza Strip, sometimes not." The "things that clearly go in the direction of exceeding the rules of international law in a war operation", Habeck continued, had not been "released".
Remember when Germany claimed they were not either holding up Israel’s weapons orders — it was just that shipments to Ukraine in combination were overwhelming German manufacturers? This sure sounds like they were gaslighting…
"According to all that is known, Israel has repeatedly transgressed the rules of international law in the Gaza Strip," said Habeck, "and will certainly and hopefully bear responsibility for this, because there are lawsuits against Israel for this."
One of the reasons for 'Direct combat in the Gaza Strip' is freeing the hostages. One of the hostages who was released on 2/8 and was still held by Hamas on 2/7 when Habeck spoke is a German citizen.

CNN says concern over massive government payouts to outlets like Politico is a 'false right-wing conspiracy theory'
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] The federal government spent over $8 million on subscriptions to PoliticoPro during the Biden administration, a fact which was not known to the American public on the lam until it was revealed on Wednesday amid the fiscal investigations of the Department of Government Efficiency. In response to the critique from taxpayers, politicians and officials alike, Politico released a statement saying that the media outlet "has never been a beneficiary of government programs or subsidies."

Brian
"Mr. Potato"
Stelter called the claim that Politico was receiving government subsidies "rampant right-wing misinformation." He shared the memo from the outlet's heads, Goli Sheikholeslami and John Harris, which claimed that the outlet had not received government funding. The BBC also put out a statement to justify the funding that their BBC Media Action group has received from USAID.

Addressed to the "Team," that memo reads: "As surely many of you saw today, there was a spirited discussion at the White House and among officials connected to the Department of Government Efficiency on the subject of government subscriptions for journalism products, at POLITICO and other news organizations.

"This is a fine conversation to have, and we welcome it. The value of POLITICO subscriptions is validated daily in the marketplace. Some parts of today's conversation, however, were confusing and left some people with false understandings. For this reason, we want you to hear from us on several points. POLITICO has never been a beneficiary of government programs or subsidies—not one cent, ever, in 18 years.

"We have offered a professional subscription service, starting with POLITICO Pro, since 2012. It provides both private and public sector clients with granular, fact-based reporting, real-time intelligence, and tracking tools across key policy areas. We are proud of the value our POLITICO Pro platform and policy journalism gives to all subscribers. As a practical matter, the overwhelming majority of our professional subscriptions under POLITICO Pro are in the private sector.

#3  CNN continues to try to gaslight us as DOGE shovels all the evidence out into the sunlight for public inspection. A theory is accepted or rejected based on evidence. We don’t have all of it, but we can extrapolate from what we have. We know that there is a $8M subsidy that was probably paying from 16 to 80 people. I don’t have Politico’s balance sheet, but the $8M will represent 10 to 30 percent of their revenue. Even if it’s 3 percent, that might be enough to make the enterprise viable. We can know more about the viability based on what they do going forward.

This is why everyone is freaking out about the DOGE boys. Once they get done mining the databases, all these connections will be apparent.

Side Note: A bit of half-hearted poking around on the Politico website did not turn up a price for the Politico Pro subscription, although there is a link to chat with their sales force and request a 'demo'.

International Criminal Court condemns US sanctions against officials
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The International Criminal Court (ICC) has condemned the issuance by the United States of an Executive Order seeking to impose sanctions on the court's officials and harm its independent and impartial judicial work.
"independent and impartial"? The Wh0re doth protest too much
The ICC said in a press statement that it ''stands firmly by its personnel and pledges to continue providing justice and hope to millions of innocent victims of atrocities across the world, in all Situations before it.''

''We call on our 125 States Parties, civil society and all nations of the world to stand united for justice and fundamental human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
,'' the court concluded.

Last night, US President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
signed an executive order imposing sanctions on the ICC for alleged ''illegal actions'' against the United States and Israel.

The order, which was published by the White House, includes a ban on the entry of ICC officials, staff, and personnel into the United States, as well as their immediate family members. Additionally, the decree stipulates the freezing of their assets within the United States.

The ICC, based in The Hague, had previously issued arrest warrants on November 21, 2024, for Israeli officials Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant for war crimes against the Paleostinian people.

Imagine the political power Canada would have in US elections.
IF it became part of the USA?

It adds 41.5 Million person and that would have it (overall) with, MORE US House seats than California or any other US State.

NOTE:
Canada has 10 provinces in 3 territories.
So That's either 6 New Senate seats or 20 New Senate seats.
That a lot of NEW US Senate Canadian leaning seats and a tipping weight on many issues. All depending on whether each Province, or Territory, is treated as a New State.

Also remember their usual semi-Democrat Social-Capitalist form of rule and freebies the Canadian citizens are used to, and would likely support if annexed. eg. Insulin and many medications are about 1/3 the cost in Canada vs the USA. Big Pharm is going to love that.

Newsom approves $50 million to fight Trump admin, deportation policies
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Governor Gavin Governor Hair Gel Newsom
...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland...
has approved $50 million in state funding to fight legal battles over immigration policies as tensions with the Trump administration escalate. The newly signed laws allocate $25 million to the state's Department of Justice to challenge federal legal battles and another $25 million is going to legal groups providing defense for immigrants colonists facing deportation.

Newsom said action will "bolster funding for legal services programs that are vital to safeguarding the civil rights of California's most vulnerable residents, including people with disabilities, youth who are homeless, victims of human trafficking and wage theft, people facing unlawful evictions, immigrants colonists and more," according to Fox News.

Although the $25 million will go to fight deportations with the legal groups, Newsom added that the funds are not "intended to be used for immigration-related legal services for noncitizens convicted of serious or violent mostly peaceful felonies."

During Trump's first term, California fought the administration on a range of issues, including environmental regulations and immigration laws, filing over 100 lawsuits. With Trump back in office, state officials have been preparing for renewed legal battles, reportedly beginning preparations as early as November following his election victory.

Republicans have criticized the legal funding for cases relating to immigration policies, calling it a diversion from more pressing state issues such as the California wildfires. State and local officials have faced significant backlash from Angelenos who believe they did not take the necessary precautions prior to the wildfires breaking out, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Adam Kinzinger accused of exaggerating 2006 story of saving woman's life in Milwaukee: report
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a well-known anti-Trump Republican who endorsed Kamala Harris
former senatrix from California, 2020 Dem presidential hopeful and ultimately Joe Biden's intended successor
for the 2024 election, has been accused of exaggerating a story where he helped save a woman's life.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Kinzinger - who has been praised for saving a young woman's life in 2006 in Milwaukee when he wrestled a man to the ground who had a knife - has been accused by the woman he was on a date with that day of exaggerating his role. Kinzinger has fallen out of favor with many Republicans because of his vote to impeach Donald Trump
...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania...
as well as serving on the January 6 subcommittee.

Megan Boschi, 41, was reportedly out with Kinzinger that evening on a date and told the outlet that it was not just Kinzinger who saved the young woman, but that she as well as others nearby ''played pivotal roles'' in stopping the murderous boyfriend.

According to the Mail, a 2006 police report shows that Thundercloud, who was schizophrenic and skipped a dose of medicine was out with his girlfriend Jerriann Lobermeir. Thundercloud got into an argument with Lobermeir and subsequently punched her and then cut her neck open with a pocketknife. She was on the sidewalk, begging for help from vehicles passing by when Kinzinger and Boschi stopped. Kinzinger fought the boyfriend to the ground and two other men stopped, helping to restrain him until police arrived.

Boschi took the knife away, threw it over a fence, and said that she was the one to flag down a car and get Lobermeir taken to the hospital where her neck required dozens of stitches. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
in a new documentary Kinzinger has put together about his career, Boschi said the politician did not mention her name at all.
A "new documentary" on Animal Planet at 2AM on Sundays
In the documentary, Kinzinger recalled that he was able to overpower Thundercloud and pin him until law enforcement arrived. ''That moment on that street in Milwaukee utterly changed my life,'' he added in the film.

Boschi told the outlet, ''But I was there, the man who jumped off his cycle of violence was there, and the girl who let a complete stranger bleeding from her neck get into her car was there as well. We all played pivotal roles in what happened that night.''

Boschi recalled to the outlet, ''When Jerriann approached us, we knew immediately that she needed to get to a hospital but could see Thundercloud following her.''

"So while Adam approached him, she and I were trying to flag down a car to get her into a vehicle and get her medical attention as soon as possible,'' Boschi added and said she was able to get Lobermeir to safety. ''I came back and saw Adam on top of Thundercloud and another man on top of Adam, who had stopped his cycle of violence to help.''

''I ran up to them and grabbed the knife out of Thundercloud's hand and threw it as far away as I could. They kept him pinned down until the police showed up,'' Boschi added.

Boschi said that Kinzinger took the lead to confront the knife-wielding boyfriend, but that other heroes that were there have been forgotten. ''I think given Adam's role in the military, most people concentrated on his story,'' Boschi told the outlet. Kinzinger was a 28-year-old pilot in the Air Force at the time.

"I don't know that Adam oversold his role that night, because he did take the initiative and risk approaching Thundercloud,'' she added, ''But there were definitely a few others that were involved to help save her.''

Lobermeir has since had her name changed to Aminah Hamdan
WTF??
, told the outlet that she is grateful for Kinzinger's actions as well as Boschi's and others, but also added that she is not sure who took down Thundercloud during the incident. She is now 40 years old and has four children.

DOJ agrees not to publicly out FBI agents involved in Jan. 6 cases
[BIZPACREVIEW] As part of a legal settlement, the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) has agreed to not publicly out the FBI agents who'd worked on Jan. 6th cases.

Last month, acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove ordered the FBI to start compiling the names of every FBI agent who'd worked on a Jan. 6th case.

It's suspected that a LOT of FBI agents were involved in the cases:

In response, attorneys for two separate groups of FBI employees filed suit Tuesday demanding the agency stop compiling the names of Jan. 6th agents.

''Attorneys for nine of the plaintiffs [part of one group], who filed their suit anonymously in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, said the compilation of the list was retaliatory and a possible precursor for unlawful firings,'' according to The Washington Post. ''Using case assignment information as a basis to terminate FBI employees would violate civil service protections, they said.''

''The lawsuit also raises concerns that Trump administration officials might make public the names of the agents who were assigned to work on the cases, exposing them and their families to retribution from now-pardoned defendants charged in the Jan. 6 attack,'' the Post's reporting continues.

The other seven plaintiffs and the FBI Agents Association, a nonprofit advocacy group, filed a similar suit.

Two days after they filed suit, a DOJ lawyer told U.S. District Judge Jia M. Cobb that the department wasn't interested in making the list public.

''He said the list would be used for an internal study, citing an executive order Mr. Trump issued on his first day in office demanding a Justice Department review of what the administration described as the 'weaponization' of law enforcement under President Biden,'' according to The New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

Government Corruption
Republican Senator sets internet ablaze as he sets the record straight on DOGE
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Republican Senator has won plaudits online for his no-holds-barred speech on Capitol Hill defending Elon Musk's work at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

John Kennedy, of Louisiana, lauded Musk as a national hero for his relentless audit of government spending under President Donald Trump's directive.

'They're very, very, very upset at President Trump,' Kennedy declared in his signature Southern drawl. 'And they're very, very, very upset at Elon Musk.'

'People have been screaming like they're part of a prison riot!' he proclaimed, shaking his head at the outrage directed at Musk's forensic financial deep dive.

'Love this Man!' wrote one X user, with another promptly agreeing, 'He's my hero!'

'Keep this man for the humor. I can imagine it will only get better as he gets older,' added one user.

'His is worth sharing with those on the left who are willing to listen and are not completely blinded by their ideologies. The information Mr. Kennedy presents is so clear and compelling. I am so thankful for what DOGE is doing,' tweeted a fourth.

During his 16-minute speech Kennedy wasted no time in painting a picture of Musk as a modern-day crusader, a genius businessman with a top-secret security clearance.

'Musk is doing what the American people have wanted for years,' Kennedy said. 'But in Washington, common sense is illegal.'

Musk was handpicked by President Trump to fulfill a campaign promise: a line-by-line, no-nonsense audit of every single dollar the federal government spends.

'President Trump issued an executive order and he turned to Mr. Musk and said, 'I want you to do for me what I said I was gonna do in the election,' Kennedy explained. 'I want you to go through all the spending line by line.'

According to Kennedy, the findings thus far have been nothing short of scandalous, exposing a breathtaking level of taxpayer-funded absurdity.

With each revelation, his voice took on a mix of disbelief and righteous indignation.

Musk's audit began with USAID, the agency responsible for handling America's foreign aid budget, a $40 billion behemoth with 10,000 employees.

Kennedy described it as a bloated, unchecked institution that had become a piggy bank for Washington insiders looking to throw money around the world, regardless of where it ended up.

Musk highlighted some of the more unusual causes to which fund were directed.

$20 million spent producing a new Sesame Street show in Iraq; $7.9 million funneled into a Sri Lankan journalism project to teach reporters to 'avoid binary gendered language'; $1.5 million dedicated to LGBT advocacy in Jamaica; $4.5 million spent combating 'disinformation' in Kazakhstan; $2 million earmarked for sex changes in Guatemala.

'We're literally sending American taxpayer dollars to change people's genders in foreign countries while our own veterans are sleeping on the streets,' Kennedy fumed. 'How does that make sense?'

Kennedy's voice dripped with sarcasm as he repeated each expenditure, punctuating the details with a rhetorical gut punch.

'I don't know what the hell binary gendered language is. I think I do. But do you think most taxpayers would support that?', he asked.

But the real bombshells came when Kennedy detailed Musk's discovery of U.S. taxpayer dollars allegedly finding their way into the pockets of terrorist-linked organizations.

$164 million in USAID funding was reportedly used to support radical organizations worldwide with $122 million of that sum allegedly going to groups aligned with foreign terrorist organizations.

Millions of dollars reportedly flowed to organizations in Gaza controlled by Hamas, some of which, according to Kennedy, 'called for their lands to be cleansed from the impurity of Jews.'

Kennedy's frustration boiled over as he pointed out the glaring silence from the other side of the aisle.

'Why aren't my colleagues talking about that?' he thundered. 'How can you look the American people in the eye and support this kind of waste, support this kind of spending porn?'

The Senator drew a sharp contrast between the Trump administration's approach and what he said was the fiscal recklessness he attributed to the Biden and Obama years.

'For twelve years, all I heard from President Obama and President Biden was 'Who needs to pay more in taxes?' Kennedy said. 'Well, that's not the issue today. We have a new president, and the real question now is: What the hell happened to all the money?'

Kennedy's impassioned rebuke of past administrations didn't stop there.

He lambasted the $36 trillion national debt, calling it a betrayal of the American people and a direct result of unchecked spending.

'You don't get to rack up 36 trillion in debt and then act shocked when someone wants to take a look at the receipts,' Kennedy scoffed. 'That's like setting your house on fire and complaining about the smoke.'

'It takes my breath away,' he said. 'Our debt's growing faster than our economy.'

He then walked the chamber through a staggering timeline of Biden-era spending.

$1.9 trillion on the American Rescue Plan; $1.2 trillion on the so-called Infrastructure Bill; $1 trillion on the Inflation Reduction Act; $280 billion in corporate welfare for Big Tech through the CHIPS Act.

'And that's how we got $36 trillion in debt,' he said.

The Senator likened Musk's efforts to that of a wartime strategist exposing the rot within Washington's bureaucracy even suggesting he should expand his audit beyond USAID, proposing that 'he go through every agency and look at everybody's budget.'

'We ought to be giving Mr. Musk a medal,' Kennedy declared. 'We ought to be thanking him.

'But instead, what do we get? We get Democrats foaming at the mouth, calling him dangerous, saying he's stealing Social Security numbers. Give me a break!' Kennedy exclaimed.

'This is a guy who puts rockets into space for breakfast and builds cars that drive themselves. I think he can handle a calculator.'

Yet, in Kennedy's eyes, the resistance to Musk's findings from Democrats was not about process or legality, but about fear.

'They don't wanna talk about what he's found. They just wanna talk about how mean he is,' he scoffed. 'Well, he is doing his job. And the American people get it.'

Kennedy ended his fiery speech with a direct challenge to Congress to bring Musk in to testify, expose every last dime of wasteful spending and put an end to Washington's reckless spending spree.

'We need all the help we can get on reducing our spending because we can't continue at this pace,' he warned.

'You don't want Musk looking at your budget? Then what the hell are you hiding?'

As Kennedy left the podium, his words reverberated beyond the chamber, spreading across social media, where supporters hailed his speech.

'The tax payer loves what is being done! Keep going!' praised one user.

'I'm so disgusted and yet so happy . I'm so happy about the big reveal and yet so disgusted about the spending,' added another.

'That's our guy from here in Louisiana. Kennedy tells it like it is,' tweeted a third.

'They are simply doing what they said they were going to do...' summed up a fourth.

Musk retweeted the speech without comment.

#1  Kennedy’s voting record is marginal. He often comes out of the bullpen to help McConnell-Schumer initiatives. He does have a folksy Will Rogers way of exposing things to the American people that is very helpful. When I read his quotes, my mind automatically hears it in his unique voice.

#2  I believe Trump anticipated the lawfare and is using it the drag out the revelation for the next 18 months leading up to the midterms. Each indefensible position the lying Left takes will be repeated day after day, week after week, month after month. The alternate media will be feeding it more and more to the public skipping the ever decreasing hysteria of the old media.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
'Soon we'll be free and ISIS will be revived': Jihadi brides' threat to the West as Syrian prison camp guards admit the 40,000 inmates are on verge of freedom and Islamic State could return 'in just days'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] ISIS families living in Syria's largest refugee camp have declared the terror group is 'ready to rise again' as guards warned the scourge of Islamic extremism could spread through the Middle East and threaten the West 'in a matter of days'.

Since the jihadist organisation lost its final stronghold in Syria in 2019, tens of thousands of ISIS fighters and their families have been held in prisons and refugee camps in Rojava - the Kurdish-led autonomous region in northeast Syria.

The largest of them - Camp Al-Hol - holds almost 40,000 people, many of whom are extremist families who go tent to tent, abusing refugees and indoctrinating their children.

Now, the instability following the toppling of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime by Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) has created fertile ground for a horrifying ISIS resurgence.

Military officials in Rojava told MailOnline that ongoing clashes between Rojava's Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Turkish-backed militias may force camp guards to abandon their posts and head to the frontlines.

If this happens, security at the camp could collapse and Islamic State could stage a breakout.

It comes just weeks after the former head of MI6 Sir Alex Younger said the UK and US must commit to locking down Al-Hol and other ISIS detention centres to prevent a prison break in the 'hotbed of radicalisation'.

ISIS inmates at the camp are well aware of the opportunity at hand.

Jihadist sleeper cells have launched several attacks on Kurdish authorities in Rojava and in the rest of Syria in recent weeks, while inmates at Al-Hol have gleefully told camp administrators they will soon be liberated and re-establish their brutal caliphate.

When the SDF and the US-led international coalition crushed ISIS in 2019, the region's authorities were confronted with a tidal wave of captured fighters and their extremist families.

The fighters were hustled into old schools and hospitals transformed into penitentiaries, but the under-resourced administration had no choice but to corral tens of thousands of ISIS women and children into Al-Hol camp.

It has since become a self-policing dystopia where extremist gangs spread their doctrine through intimidation and abuse to raise a new generation under their black flag.

Camp authorities conduct regular raids on the camp as ISIS routinely smuggles in weapons, explosives, communications devices and other contraband.

They have also discovered various dugouts and tunnels created by the inmates to move the weapons, or attempt to break out.

Jihan Hanan, one of the chief administrators of Al-Hol, spoke with MailOnline during a visit to the camp about the threats ISIS families have delivered.

'They tell us: 'Soon, we will be liberated from this camp and you will be inside it',' she said.

'They call us pigs and say they'll round us up. They believe they will get out of the camp and that ISIS will be revived again. The people of this camp are ready... they are ready and waiting for something to happen.'

In the wake of Assad's toppling in December, Sir Alex Younger sounded the alarm about the prospect of ISIS rising again.

'There is a key operational issue for the UK which is going to be driving a lot of our policy which is that the SDF, the Kurdish group, are holding many, many ISIS prisoners and their families who were taken after the end of the caliphate,' the former head of MI6, who is known as 'C', told the BBC.

'The camps represent a hotbed of radicalisation and haven't been sorted out. If the SDF were to go off the job, our security situation here would worsen,' he said, declaring the West must 'make sure at least the eastern part of Syria remains stable'.

Sir Alex's warning is not overblown.

The SDF is stretched thin, fighting the Turkish-backed SNA militia in northwestern Syria while preparing for a potential future clash with HTS.

If the conflict escalates, military chiefs will be forced to pull guards away from the camp to fight on the frontlines.

Siyamend Ali, a spokesperson for Rojava's People's Protection Units (YPG) that lead the SDF, said this would mean ISIS could stage its resurgence almost overnight.

'If you're guarding these camps and you hear that the SNA are going to your city, to murder your family and your people, what are you going to do? Are you going to stay and guard the camp or are you going to leave and protect your family?

'This is the choice we are faced with, and if Turkey, HTS and the international community do not put this war to an end, we will have no choice but to defend ourselves.

'If that happens, ISIS could be back in a matter of days,' he declared.

Jihan and other officials in Rojava are insistent that nations whose people travelled to join ISIS must take responsibility for their citizens now wreaking havoc in Al-Hol - particularly Western countries reluctant to act.

They argue that by abandoning their citizens in Syria and refusing to repatriate them, the governments of these nations are only aiding the terror group to consolidate its influence in the Middle East and prepare for a comeback.

'We want our partners in the international community, who fought with us against ISIS, to not forget the sacrifices our people made. Because the case of Al-Hol is directly connected to the case of ISIS,' Jihan said.

'We call upon all the countries around the world to come and take their citizens. We need logistical and political support from the countries that have citizens here.'

Meanwhile, the SDF, which allied closely with the US to defeat ISIS during Syria's Civil War, is appealing once again for the West to provide more resources to ensure the extremists can be contained.

In the wake of Donald Trump's return to the White House, the SDF are concerned that US troops could pull out of Syria altogether - a move which would undoubtedly embolden ISIS.

'The reason for them (US troops) to stay is still present because Daesh is still strong,' SDF commander Mazloum Abdi said yesterday, using an Arabic acronym to refer to ISIS.

'We hope that the coalition does not withdraw... We ask them to stay.'

Al-Hol is now home to around 40,000 primarily ISIS-linked women and their children, including almost 7,000 highly-radicalised foreigners.

Authorities know these extremists are receiving orders from jihadist cells outside the camp, waiting for the moment to rise up.

'There are ISIS members outside and they can communicate with ISIS members inside. We don't allow (the most extreme section of the camp) to have phones... but somehow they still sneak them in,' Jihan said.

'The situation in Syria has changed. The ISIS members consider the mindset (of HTS) is similar, so they say: 'Come and bring us outside and free us, just how you took over all of Syria.'

'In their logic, they can take over this region (Rojava) and Al-Hol camp as well.'

Only a small enclave within the camp - known as Section 6 - is fully separated from the rest of the facility. This area, containing almost 7,000 people, is where hardcore foreigners who travelled from around the world to join ISIS are kept.

But the Asayish, Rojava's internal security forces, do not have the numbers or resources to conduct proper patrols, so around 33,000 inmates are free to roam around the camp undeterred.

This means there is nothing to prevent ISIS gangs from going tent to tent and terrorising refugees. More than 150 murders have been recorded in the camp since 2019 - an average of more than two per month.

'Before 2019 the camp was open. It had a council, a committee, people were free to come and go, with visiting allowed,' Jihan explained.

'But in 2019 ISIS came and infected the camp, distributed weapons... we had daily murder cases and because of that our security measures changed.

'We didn't close it just because we wanted to make it a prison. You don't do that without reason.'

Netanyahu vows to eliminate Hamas and return all hostages
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a promise to destroy the Hamas movement and return all hostages held in the Gaza Strip in a special video address to the nation on February 8.

"We will destroy Hamas and return our hostages. We will do everything to return all our hostages. We will take care of their safety. This is the instruction I gave to the negotiating team - to convey this to the mediators and demand this," the Israeli prime minister, who is visiting the United States, emphasized.

Netanyahu added that US President Donald Trump "fully agrees" with Israel's position and that there will be no Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.

The prime minister's statement comes after three hostages were released from Hamas captivity after being held for 500 days. The men returned exhausted and in poor physical condition.

Earlier, Regnum reported that the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the emaciated appearance of three hostages released by the Palestinian Hamas movement on February 8 shocking. The office said that Israel intends to take action because the hostages in Gaza were held in poor conditions.

In exchange, Israel must release 183 Palestinian prisoners from prison.

An agreement on a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was reached on January 15. It is to be implemented in three stages. The first is the withdrawal of IDF troops from Gaza and the release of 33 hostages by Hamas. The second is the release of the remaining Israeli prisoners and a permanent ceasefire. The third stage involves the exchange of bodies of the dead. Then reconstruction work in the Gaza Strip will begin under the supervision of Egypt, Qatar and the UN.

Europe
Baltics Declare Energy Independence From Russia
[Townhall] The Baltics were the first nations to break away from the Soviet Union. 35 years later, they’re finally declaring their energy independence from Russia.

This Sunday, February 9th, all three will officially synchronize with the European Union’s electric grid after being tethered to the joint BRELL grid with Belarus and Russia. Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania weaned themselves off of Russian oil and gas. The three Baltic Republics, good NATO dues-paying members, cite energy security as a top reason for decoupling.

The Baltics fully untethering themselves from Russia’s energy infrastructure is a good first step to achieving energy independence. It puts other EU countries depending on Russian natural gas on notice. But the European Commission says integrating the Baltic States into the Continental European Network (CEN) will "facilitate the uptake of renewable energy, supporting them [to] achieve the European Green Deal objectives."

In 2023, POLITICO Europe bizarrely argued Russian dictator Vladimir Putin — a top recipient of their Green 28 Class of 2023 — is "the invader making the EU green."

"It took a war criminal to speed up Europe’s green revolution," the publication boasted. "By invading Ukraine and manipulating energy supplies to undermine European support for Kyiv, Russian President Vladimir Putin has achieved something generations of green campaigners could not — clean energy is now a fundamental matter of European security."

Much to the EU’s chagrin, energy independence and net-zero are incompatible. The EU Green Deal calls for carbon neutrality by 2050—a goal that mirrored the Biden-Harris administration’s radical climate policies. At best, net-zero policies only reduce global temperatures by 0.2 degrees Celsius—not 1.5C—but will lead to total economic destruction.

Massive 7.6-magnitude earthquake shakes Caribbean
[NYPOST] A magnitude 7.6 earthquake was reported in the middle of the Caribbean Sea Saturday night — triggering a tsunami warning around the region, including the threat of waves up to 10 feet in Cuba.

The earthquake was reported just before 6:30 p.m local time about 129 miles south-southwest of George Town in the Cayman Islands at a depth of about 6 miles, according to the US Geological Survey.

The event sparked a tsunami warning, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Jamaica, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Belize and Haiti are currently under a potential threat of a tsunami.

Tsunami advisories have been issued in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands — though that warning was later cancelled, reports show.

World's largest religious gathering in India underway as hundreds of millions visit 45-day festival
[FoxNews] Festival expected to draw up to 420 million tourists and pilgrims.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, or Great Pitcher Festival, is drawing hundreds of millions of pilgrims and tourists to India. The 45-day festival, which began Jan. 13, is the largest gathering of humanity in the world. It is expected to draw approximately 420 million.

That is about 200 times the number of Muslim pilgrims who participated in the annual Hajj in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia, last year. It is so large it can be seen from outer space.

According to Hindu scriptures, gods and demons once churned the cosmic ocean in search of the nectar of immortality. During this struggle, drops of nectar fell at four sacred sites. The spiritual Hindu festival takes place once every 12 years at one of those four locations.

This year, it is being held in the city of Prayagraj in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This year’s event is considered particularly special because it aligns with a rare, once-in-a-century celestial configuration.

Stephen A. Smith sounds off on Superbowl black national anthem, tells why he'd mop the floor of Dem contenders for president
[BIZPACREVIEW] The ESPN host offered his take on the upcoming Superbowl's black national anthem performance in a Daily Mail interview this week.

'I understand that society can be very polarizing at times, but the reality is that segments of our population have a right to be prideful about their culture, their people. Everybody has a right to feel the way that they feel— if you're not doing harm to anybody else, leave it be,'' Smith said.

'Well, black people have a right to feel the way that they feel — about whether there's a black national anthem or anything— as long as it's not something that's harmful to America, the nation itself or to any segment of our population, what's the problem?' he asked.

Smith made waves recently when he admitted feeling ''like a damn fool'' for supporting Kamala Harris
once a marijuana-busting Caliphornia DA
and explained how the Democrat Party has become completely out of touch on the issues Americans care about.

He even praised President Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
for keeping his promises, ''he's doing what he said he was going to do,'' Smith told Bill Maher in recent weeks.

Trump rules out deporting Prince Harry
[NYPOST] Prince Harry
can breathe freely in Montecito, because President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
has ruled out deporting the self-exiled British royal.

Harry's immigration status is the subject of litigation in Washington DC, with the Heritage Foundation alleging that he may have concealed past illegal drug use that should have disqualified him from obtaining a US visa.

But the president told The New York Post Friday that he isn't interested in throwing Harry out of the country.

''I don't want to do that,'' he said. ''I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible.''

Government Corruption
The US Treasury Spent HOW MUCH Illegally? Now You Know Why the Left Wants to Stop DOGE
[RedState] Congress illegally spent at least $516 billion in 2024 on programs for which there was no authorization. Yes, billion, with a "b." A stunning report by the Congressional Budget Office underscores the reason for the legal assault upon President Trump's right to audit payments by the Treasury Department.

In a report titled "Expired and Expiring Authorizations of Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2024," the CBO observes: "Historically, House and Senate rules restrict lawmakers from considering an appropriation if it lacks a current authorization." Nevertheless, "CBO estimates that $516 billion was appropriated for 2024 for activities with expired authorizations, which the agency identified for each House and Senate authorizing committee and appropriations subcommittee." That $516 billion in illegal payments cover "1,264 authorizations of appropriations that expired before the beginning of fiscal year 2024 and 251 authorizations of appropriations that were set to expire by the end of fiscal year 2024." The legal authority for some of these payments expired 40 — that's not a typo — years ago.

This data reveals a couple of things. First, Congress has established a shadow funding stream for pet projects of either the institution or of senior members that allows money to be shoveled into a porkulus spending bill under the guise of preventing a government shutdown. The money is paid even though there is no legal authority for the disbursement. This is what, among lesser beings, would be called embezzlement, but no word exists to describe the activity on this scale. Where embezzlement gets the plebians a stiff jail term, it gets members of Congress reelected and seats on corporate boards.

Making this all the more intriguing is that it would seem that the President could stop those payments without worrying about violating the Impoundment Control Act as they are not legal appropriations by Congress's rules.

I will guarantee you that when DOGE really digs into this, they are going to find other ongoing illegal payments on a Biblical scale.

Judge won't block DOGE from accessing Labor Department systems
[THEHILL] A federal judge Friday evening refused to block the Labor Department from giving Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to confidential systems or firing employees for refusing to hand over the credentials.

U.S. District Judge John Bates found the plaintiffs hadn't show enough injury to have legal standing to bring the lawsuit.

''This data includes the medical and financial records of millions of Americans,'' wrote Bates. ''But on the current record, plaintiffs have failed to establish standing. So although the Court harbors concerns about defendants' alleged conduct, it must deny plaintiffs' motion at this time.''

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday by the AFL-CIO and several of its affiliate government employee unions, claims that giving Musk's team access to the Labor Department systems violates federal privacy law and is without any legal authority.

At a hearing earlier in the day, Bates voiced concerns about the DOGE team's access and its broader efforts to rapidly implant itself across the federal bureaucracy in the early weeks of President Trump's administration.

''A couple people who, according to public reports, are very young, who have never been in the federal government, never had any training with respect to the hands of confidential information — you're asking me to just put absolute confidence in the fact that nothing inappropriate will happen,'' said Bates, an appointee of the younger former President Bush.

''Doesn't seem to me to be a setup that would very easily give me confidence that there will be no misadventure,'' the judge continued, laughing under his breath.

Bates's ruling doesn't reach whether the access is unlawful, however, by finding the challengers had no legal standing.

Heading into the weekend, the plaintiffs have indicated they will expand their lawsuit to other areas where DOGE has implanted, including the Department of Health and Human Services and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They also are considering adding the Education Department but may instead defer to Public Citizen's lawsuit on that front, which has already commenced.

I expect that Trump will work his way back through Russiagate to the lovebirds but we will see. There is a level of behavior that has been broken for a lot of these clowns including the 51 that has qualified them for clearance whack-a-mole for starters.

Oregon high school teacher arrested on multiple child sex crime charges with different victims: police
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] An Oregon high school math teacher has been arrested on several child sex crime charges involving multiple alleged victims. Wymon Wayne Smith, 66, of McMinnville, was taken into custody on Thursday after the sheriff's office said they identified a second victim. The teacher, who was placed on administrative leave from Banks High School last month, was first arrested on January 14 on suspicion of having had "sexual contact with a student," the Oregonian reported.

Smith faces a series of charges by the Washington County District Attorney's Office, including four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, first-degree sodomy, and two counts of luring a minor, court records show.

Authorities launched an investigation on January 7 after a minor female student alleged Smith had groped her and discussed "sexual conduct" the day prior, according to an indictment. He was immediately placed on administrative leave and the school notified the sheriff's office.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that they "learned Smith had sexually inappropriate conversations with multiple students and had sexual contact with at least one student on school property." Smith was arrested on January 14 and booked into the county jail on $25,000 bail. Records show he bailed out on January 28.

Wymon Smith has been charged with several child sexual abuse crimes by the Washington County District Attorney's Office

Shortly after his arrest, the Sheriff's Office said they believed there could be additional victims. A second female victim came forward to authorities and alleged that Smith sexually abused her while she was a student under the age of 18 between 2009 and 2010. Smith was arrested again on February 6 and booked into jail.

There have been 20 reports filed since Smith's first arrest, resulting in new charges, the Sheriff's Office said.

Brian Sica, the superintendent of Banks High School, said in a statement: "We share in the deep concern that this causes within our community."

The Oregonian reported that Smith began teaching in the Banks School District in 2004, working as the athletic director. The Sheriff's Office said that Smith worked as a teacher in Astoria in the early 2000s and in Nevada in the early 1990s.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said anyone who may be a victim or has further information is encouraged to contact the office at 503-846-2500.

Cyber
How big tech's ad systems helped fund child abuse online
[BBC] Some of the biggest tech companies in the world served ads on a website featuring images of child abuse, helping to fund its operations. It shines a light into the dark corners of digital advertising.

Sometimes you come across an image online that's so horrifying you can't unsee it. For Krzysztof Franaszek, it happened at work.

Franaszek runs the advertising research firm Adalytics based in the US. Recently, he was studying where ads for the US Department of Homeland Security end up online, and the project took him to an image-sharing website called ImgBB. There, Franaszek uncovered something sickening: sexually explicit images of a very young child, with adverts for Fortune 500 companies running alongside them.

He immediately reported the content to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and child safety organisations. The Canadian Centre for Child Protection – one of those Franaszek alerted – says it found at least 35 images flagged by Adalytics on the site that meet its classification of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The Centre says it notified ImgBB, and the images were taken down. An FBI spokesperson says the bureau reviews all allegations of criminal conduct but does not comment on tips from the public. The DHS did not respond to questions.

The more Franaszek dug, the clearer the problem became – and his findings raise questions about how the adverts you see online may also be inadvertently pumping large sums of money into undesirable, and at times illegal, corners of the internet.

According to a new report from Adalytics, advertising systems run by companies including Google, Amazon and Microsoft have inadvertently funnelled money to the owners of a website hosting illegal images of child sex abuse. In addition to CSAM, Adalytics documented ads for more than 70 large organisations and Fortune 500 companies running alongside hardcore adult pornography, including MasterCard, Nestlé, Starbucks, Unilever and even the US Government. "Many advertisers whose ads appeared on this website probably had no idea that they were funding this kind of content," Franaszek says.

On 7 February 2025, US Senators Marsha Blackburn and Richard Blumenthal sent letters to Amazon, Google and other ad tech companies mentioned in the report, demanding answers about whether this problem represents a widespread issue across the internet. "The dissemination of [child sexual abuse material] is a heinous crime that inflicts irreparable harm on its victims," the letter to Google reads. "Where digital advertiser networks like Google place advertisements on websites that are known to host such activity, they have, in effect, created a funding stream that perpetuates criminal operations and irreparable harm to our children."

While a few images of child abuse on a single website have alarmed many both inside and outside the industry, they also provide a glimpse of some of the wider problems afflicting the inscrutable world of digital advertising. Most people who use the internet will be familiar with the clamour of digital ads fighting for their attention. They are the product of a system so vast and complex that even the companies who run it don't always know where their money is going. For years, critics have warned that the tech industry will unwittingly line the pockets of bad actors across the web without serious regulatory oversight. Lawmakers are still catching up.

Meanwhile, it is relatively easy for anyone to set up a website that can make money from ad networks. "It doesn't cost much to operate a website that serves a few million images per month," Franaszek says.

Google, Amazon and Microsoft insist they are committed to fighting online child sexual exploitation and abuse. All three companies say they have now banned ImgBB and its subsidiary site IBB from their advertising systems.

"We have zero tolerance when it comes to content promoting child sexual abuse and exploitation and both of the accounts in question are terminated," a Google spokesperson told the BBC. "Our teams are constantly monitoring Google’s publisher network for this type of content and we refer information to the appropriate authorities."

'WE HAVE NO IDEA WHERE OUR ADS ARE GOING'
Ads are the fuel that powers the internet. The best estimates say spending on digital advertising reached an all-time high of $694b (£559b) in 2024. The marketing industry brings in untold sums for its clients, and the majority of ads are served on legal, appropriate sites. Sometimes, advertisers have a direct relationship with the platforms that run their adverts and commercials. But most of the time, the process is far more complex.

Almost every time you see an ad online, it's the result of a chain of dozens of platforms and services – some competing, others working together – in an automated process that plays out in fractions of a second. Advertisers usually don't pick the websites that show their ads. Instead, advertisers pay an "ad network" whose business is to find the most suitable audience on the most suitable site.

Amazon, Google and Microsoft all run ad networks of their own, but Google's are the largest by far. It's so dominant, in fact, that the company is currently fighting allegations of operating an illegal monopoly. Google disputes this and argues it faces steep competition in the digital advertising business.

These ad networks have untold millions of websites in their inventories. When a network serves an ad, the website gets paid. But anyone can plug their website into the ad networks and start making money. That means it's up to Google and other tech companies to do their due diligence to ensure they don't run ads on websites that fund criminal enterprises or damage brands' reputations.

But research by Adalytics and others suggests Google and the ad tech industry have sent advertising money from clients including US senators and multinational corporations to a long list of questionable websites, in ad campaigns that add up to tens of billions of dollars, and perhaps even more. The list includes websites featuring foreign propaganda, calls for racial violence, extremist political content and pornography, as well as sites based in countries facing US trade sanctions such as Iran, Syria and Russia.

According to Arielle Garcia, chief operating officer at the digital advertising watchdog group Check My Ads, incidents like this expose one of the key problems with digital advertising – that the systems running these adverts are so impenetrably complicated that it's difficult for anyone to figure out what's actually going on, especially from the outside.

"That isn't a mistake, it's intentionally opaque," she says. "The ad tech industry weaponises complexity." A growing chorus of advertisers complain that the big players in the ad tech business have been providing them with less and less information, Garcia says, and that lack of transparency makes it hard to detect waste and bad practices.

Google, Amazon and Microsoft are not the only companies that served ads on ImgBB. Adalytics found ad networks run by a list of other, smaller companies that ran ads on the site as well.

However, Google's dominance over the ad industry means it should share an outsized proportion of the blame, says Laura Edelson, a computer science professor who studies the digital economy at Northeastern University in the US.

"No one is more responsible for this than Google," she says. "Sure, this stuff might be hard to fix. That's why Google gets paid so much money. This is merely an engineering problem – the kind of problem they solve every day. Google should be held accountable. This is harming our society." ImgBB may also be an example of a much larger problem, Edelson says. "It is very unlikely that there's nothing else like this that's [able to] monetise in the same way."

Addressing these issues requires a layered approach that involves every stakeholder in the digital supply chain, Marcoux says. Ad networks who onboard websites should engage in much more robust review processes; advertisers should demand accountability to ensure their ads don't appear next to harmful or illegal content; and the payment processors who handle transactions and compensation along the ad tech chain should apply more rigorous conditions and Know Your Customer practices as well, Marcoux says.

"We are not going to fix this problem without better regulation and actual, real, serious consequences for delivering ads that fund horrific companies and activities," Edelson says. "It's too profitable to just ignore this. It's going to be impossible to solve without changing those incentives."

The problem of sorting the wounded
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the Telegram channel of tactical medicine courses by Head of the Tactical Medicine Courses project, call sign "Latish"

[ColonelCassad] Errors in triage of casualties in the civilian sphere and in the special military operation (SMO) zone are one of the key problems affecting the effectiveness of medical care. Triage is the process of distributing casualties into categories based on the severity of their condition and the urgency of care. In conditions of mass influx of wounded, whether as a result of man-made disasters, natural disasters or military action, errors in triage can lead to significant human losses, even if sufficient resources are available to provide care.

In the civilian sphere, errors in triage are often associated with insufficient training of medical personnel, the absence of clear protocols or their failure to comply with them. For example, during the 2010 Haiti earthquake, many seriously injured victims did not receive timely care due to chaotic medical evacuation arrangements and a lack of prioritization. Similar problems have been observed in other major disasters, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, where inadequate preparation by local medical services delayed care for thousands of people.

In a special military operation zone, triage errors are compounded by challenging conditions: the constant threat to the lives of medical personnel, limited resources, the mass influx of casualties, and the need for rapid decision-making. For example, in armed conflicts in the Middle East, such as the Syrian civil war, medical services were often overwhelmed by the large number of casualties, leading to prioritization errors. Studies in active war zones have found that up to 20% of casualties who might have survived with timely care died due to poor triage.

Statistics from various conflicts show that triage errors have similar roots, regardless of the geographic region or type of conflict. For example, during the war in Afghanistan (2001–21), US military medics noted that up to 15% of wounded received care with a delay due to incorrect assessment of their condition. During the conflict in eastern Ukraine (2014–22), there were also cases of seriously wounded victims not receiving timely care due to the lack of a clear triage system on the front lines.

One of the key reasons for errors is the insufficient training of medical personnel to work in extreme conditions. In the civilian sphere, this may be due to the rare use of triage skills in everyday practice, and in the SVO zone - to the lack of experience working in conditions of mass influx of the wounded.

Another problem is the lack of uniform triage standards. Different countries and even different regions of the same country may use different prioritization systems, which complicates the coordination of efforts to provide assistance in major disasters or conflicts. For example, in Europe, the START (Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment) system is widely used, while in some countries in Asia and Africa, less standardized approaches are used.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that errors in triage of victims are not only a medical but also a humanitarian problem. They lead to an increase in the number of victims, which is especially tragic in conditions when many lives could have been saved. Eliminating these errors requires a comprehensive approach, including both technical and organizational measures, as well as international cooperation in the field of disaster medicine and military medicine.

Dzerzhinsk's Heat. Russia Returns to the Heart of Donbass
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Dmitry Gubin

[REGNUM] The city of Dzerzhinsk in the DPR — which the Kiev regime calls Toretsk — was effectively liberated by Russian troops by mid-January. All that remained was to suppress individual pockets of resistance by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the northern districts of the city and in individual sections of the industrial zone. And now, finally, the Ministry of Defense officially reports the capture of the city.

If Donbass is the industrial heart of Russia, then now our troops have taken control of the heart of Donbass. After all, it was here, on the banks of the rivers Kazeny Torets and Krivoy Torets, that more than three hundred years ago the Russian state began mining coal.

THE VINE SPEAKS THE TRUTH
There are several versions of how coal mining began in the Donbass region. According to one legend, the mineral, which produces intense heat when burned, was first reported to Peter I in 1696, when the young tsar was conducting his second campaign against Azov.

The other is connected with esoteric practices, as they would say in our time.

On December 7, 1722, the first Emperor of All Russia issued a decree "On the search for coal and ores in the Don and Voronezh province." The sovereign's will was passed on to the authorities: first to the Berg Collegium (then the Ministry of Natural Resources), then to the first team of ore prospectors (geologists) created in Russia, and they sent "to the land" a dowser named Grigory Kapustin, originally from near Kineshma (today's Ivanovo Region)

The search for underground minerals, aquifers and other subsurface contents using a forked branch - a vine, a frame or something similar - is nowadays considered an activity that is questionable from a scientific point of view.

But if we are to believe the reports of the head of the ore prospectors Vasily Lodygin, the dowser Kapustin studied the banks of the Seversky Donets and the Verkhnyaya Belenkaya River “to find coal” – and found it, sending to the capitals “as many as three poods of samples”

Monument to the ore prospector Grigory Kapustin in Makeyevka
A monument to the discoverer of Donbass coal, ore prospector Grigory Kapustin, now stands in Makeyevka (DPR).

And then the process went on - Peter issued a new decree:

“To dig up the coal and ores that the clerk Kapustin announced, send a messenger from the Mining Collegium, and in those places dig that coal and ores three or more fathoms deep, and, having dug up five poods, bring them to the Mining Collegium and test them.”

"IN THAT GULLY, THERE IS COAL UNDERGROUND, IRON"
While there is some debate about how exactly coal mining began in the future Donbass, it is known for sure where exactly they first started digging “black gold”.

In the Skelevataya ravine, a long and wide ravine that today separates the main urban development of Dzerzhinsk and the Zabalka district (which was a long-term support base for the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the recent January battles).

This type of “ravine” terrain is typical for this part of the DPR, and the name Skelevataya or Skelevaya (i.e. Rocky) ravine is used by many ravines where ancient rocks of the Donetsk Ridge come to the surface.

But perhaps, thanks to the “engineering and geological surveys” of the dowser Kapustin, it was in this Skelevata ravine, 25 versts, or 26.6 kilometers, from Bakhmut, that coal mining began in 1721 at the outcrops of the seams on the daylight surface.

As Donetsk regional historian Mikhail Kulishov writes, the supply of coal to the empire began under the control of the commandant of the Bakhmut fortress, captain of the Izyum Sloboda Cossack regiment Semyon Chirkov and Nikita Vepreisky, a landrat (adviser from the nobility) of the Kiev province, who managed the Bakhmut Sloboda and, at the same time, the salt mines.

The last position of Mr. Vepreisky is mentioned for a reason - Russian people began to extract salt on the Torskie Lakes near today's Slavyansk back in the 16th century; it was a long-standing and powerful industry in this Russian borderland.

As for the new “national project” for coal mining, its significance can be judged by a document called “ A reliable land map of the borders of the Dnieper and Donets rivers at distances from the mouth of the Samara to Izyum and Lugansk stanitsa...” for 1749–1750.

Apparently, this is the first topographic and geological map of Donbass in Russian history. Between the rivers flowing into Krivoy Torets, a ravine is marked with the inscription "earth coal", on a copy of this map from 1750 it is written more precisely: "in this ravine there is coal underground iron".

During the reign of Anna Ioannovna and Elizabeth Petrovna, more than one geographical description of Skelevata Balka was made, as well as many reports on the extraction of fuel almost at the daylight surface.

The first mention of a settlement on this site dates back to the time of Paul I, in 1800: part of the population of the Zaitsevo settlement moved to the Shcherbinovsky farm.

In 1827, mining engineer and future Minister of Public Education of the Russian Empire Evgraf Kovalevsky mapped 25 mineral deposits known to him and actually came up with the concept of the “Donetsk Coal Basin” and outlined the boundaries of this largest storehouse of “black gold” in European Russia.

A little later, the miners' farm Shcherbinovsky and neighboring farms united into the village of Shcherbinovka - a future city that would change its name several times.

And “earth coal” in the vicinity of Skelevataya continued to be mined in modern times - next to the ravine is the “Central” mine of the “Toretskugol” enterprise, in Soviet times - the Dzerzhinsky mine.

RUSSIAN PEASANTS - MINE OWNERS
There was a lot of documentary evidence about Shcherbinovka in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The most detailed of them was left by the future academician Alexander Skochinsky in 1917.

In his report, “Explosion in the Dvoinoy Seam of the Shcherbinovsky Mine,” he examines not only the disaster at the mine in December 1915, but also provides an analysis of the development of the village, where three coal mines and two industrial enterprises operated.

“The total number of workers in December 1916 per shift was: 600 during the day, 400 at night. In particular, in the Dvoyny layer, there were 70-75 people in the day shift, and 30-40 people in the night shift in each wing.”

Writers of the populist movement did not pass by Shcherbinovka either.

Thus, the owner of perhaps the longest full name in the history of Russian literature, Nikolai Elpifidorovich Karonin-Petropavlovsky, left very detailed notes about his visit to the mining region. From the notes published in 1899, it turns out that the subsoil was actively developed by peasant "small business":

"In Shcherbinovka, in Nelepovka and in many places, the land containing coal seams belongs to peasant societies. In most cases, the peasants lease this land, under various conditions, to large owners and companies, but in some places, like in this Shcherbinovka, the peasants, in addition to leasing it out, have tried and are still trying to develop coal themselves.

The land containing coal, like all other peasant lands, is divided into souls, and each soul gets, for example, a fathom (of course, a fathom of surface, not depth), and these pieces are then put into development.”

Among those who directly dug coal in the Shcherbinovo mines (and workers came here from all over the empire) was the future Russian and Soviet writer of Tatar origin, Sharif Kamal (Baigildeev).

According to him, at the turn of the century in Shcherbinovka there already existed, as they would say now, a compact settlement of internal migrants - a Tatar community headed by a mullah.

Unlike the owners of the “peasant lands”, the future classic of socialist realism and holder of the Order of Lenin did not have the brightest memories of working at the coalface.

“A miner is an earthworm. For him, neither day nor night exists. He is always digging in the ground, getting as deep as possible. For what? Of course, he, like an earthworm, needs to be satisfied, ” Kamal wrote in 1910. “ A miner cannot enjoy the beauty of nature… almost all of his hard life is spent underground, hundreds of fathoms below the beautiful, bright world.”

Be that as it may, at the same time, by the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century, the oldest coal mining center of Russia became one of the important "valves" in the industrial heart of the country - along with Yuzovka, which arose nearby, but much later, the future Donetsk. In Shcherbinovka, there were three coal mines and two industrial enterprises, including a coke plant founded under Alexander III in 1890.

So Shcherbinovka did not meet the February and October revolutions with a plough.

TWO LIBERATIONS FROM NAZISM
The new government, to its credit, used the base laid by the "old regime" to the fullest. Even after the destruction of the civil war, in 1923, local miners were able to produce 1 million tons of coal, and by 1936 the local trust was already mining 9 thousand tons daily.

In the same year, Shcherbinovka, which until then had been considered a workers’ settlement, received city status and a new name: Dzerzhinsk.

The Great Patriotic War came here in October 1941. The Nazi occupation (the first Nazi occupation, if we don’t forget about the Ukrainian Armed Forces) lasted until September 1943, when the city was liberated by the troops of the Southern Front during the Donbass Operation. Among the notables were the 63rd Rifle Corps under the command of Major General Petro Koshevoy, a native of the Kherson region, the future Marshal and Commander of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany.

On December 30, 1962, Dzerzhinsk received the status of a city of regional subordination - by that time, about 50 thousand people lived here. Most of them worked at enterprises that were built, as usual, by the entire Union (primarily, of course, with the participation of the RSFSR): a coke plant, a phenol plant, an acid-proof products plant, a processing plant were in operation... A mining technical school trained specialists for six coal mines. The city "graduated" its doctors and music teachers. Of the events of the late Soviet era, the city residents best remember Vladimir Vysotsky's concert in 1977.

By the early 2020s, only three of the six mines were operational, and the factories had closed. This was the price of Ukrainian independence.

The 1991 choice in favor of "independence" brought privatization with bankruptcy and an ongoing socio-economic crisis to the residents of Dzerzhinsk. And at the same time, forced Ukrainization, which was especially painful in a city where 87% consider Russian their native language (according to the 2001 census).

It is not surprising that in May 2014, Dzerzhinsk, having expelled the Ukrainian government, made a choice in favor of the independence of the DPR. The forces of the defenders of Donbass, alas, turned out to be insufficient to hold the city, and already in July 2014, Dzerzhinsk was occupied by the "ATO forces"

For Kyiv security forces, the city has become a staging area aimed directly against Gorlovka, a city under DPR control no more than 15 kilometers away in a straight line. Donetsk, located to the south, is about 43 kilometers away. Ukrainian artillery has been shelling Gorlovka from positions in Dzerzhinsk for years, including during the "Minsk process" that began in 2015.

Then, in 2015, in the order of decommunization, the city council renamed the city Toretsk, in honor of the Krivoy Torets River, that is, it gave it a name that it never had.

The battles for the liberation of Shcherbinovka-Dzerzhinsk began in June last year. Part of the heavy fighting in this direction was the operation to take one of the suburbs, which became known by its name - the Donbass New York.

The battle for the city of Dzerzhinsk itself has been going on since the summer, it was especially difficult, considering that the enemy had fortified itself in multi-story buildings built in Soviet times and on waste heaps. Of course, after months of intensive assault actions, the city lies in ruins. But the underground wealth of the region, the very same "coal" that Russian people "found" three hundred years ago, inspire faith in the revival of life on the banks of Torets.

Violent clashes after armed neo-Nazis drape swastika flags from Ohio overpass
Why are people so viciously stupid?
A group of neo-Nazis caused outrage in a historically Black Ohio community after they draped white supremacist signs from a busy overpass while armed with rifles and waving around swastika flags.

Residents were shocked when 13 men
…cumulative IQ of about 47…
waved six bright red flags with a swastika plastered in the middle above I-75 near Lincoln Heights and Evendale in the Cincinnati area on Friday afternoon.
Less than ten miles from my house.
Among the group's disturbing display was a large sign that read: 'America for the White Man.'

'We're a community at heart, and a proud historical African American community,' Lincoln Heights Village Council member Daronce Daniels told Local 12 News.

'So things of that nature don't stand here, you know, that's a symbol of hate,' Daniels added. 'We're a community of pride and love.'

Traffic cameras captured the men, each dressed in black clothing and red face masks, as they hung white supremacy messages off of the overpass.
It’s time to go back to requiring protesters to show their uncovered faces. People ae more willing to be vile when they can hide their identity.
Among swastika symbols, the banners also displayed Anti-Defamation League symbols - often used by white supremacist groups and the Nazi party.
Huh? I thought the Anti-Defamation League was Jewish. Is there another one?
Jamaal Howard, a Lincoln Heights resident, told Local 12 News that he couldn't believe what he was seeing while on the way home from school.

'I'm like, wow, are we still doing that in 2025?,' Howard told the outlet.

'We just have to have some meetings about it because I'm fearing for my life, like I walk outside all the time, and now I have to be in fear just in case anything could happen.'

The Evendale Police Department responded to the 'unannounced protest' shortly after 2pm where they said they were working on 'keeping the peace.' Traffic cameras showed dozens of patrol cars blocking off traffic on the overpass.
I thought protests needed permits from city hall — which in this case would be in Lincoln Heights. Has that changed, too?
The sickening display led to a counter-protest from residents who said that hate has absolutely no place in their communities.

'You will not win,' Julian Cook, a pastor in Lincoln Heights, told WCPO News. 'You will not win. You may try, but we have a history of being able to push past these things, as difficult as they may be. You will not win.'

Shortly before 3pm, residents began to retaliate. Nearly 100 people yelled at the neo-Nazi group to leave, quickly leading to a confrontation.

One of the people who confronted the protestors, 16-year-old Ethan Eley, told The Enquirer that he pulled off the highway after reading a sign that read along the lines of, 'Save the white man's America.'
Ugh. As if skin colour were the issue. America is about the content of one’s character.
Eley said police were trying to keep the two groups separated while dozens of people continued to confront the neo-Nazis.

One officer, who was armed with an AR-15 style rifle, pushed back residents who had come to the scene in opposition, according to Eley.

More than 20 residents ended up breaking through the police barricades and rushed towards the men, who began packing their items into a U-Haul parked nearby.

During the rush, someone ended up snatching one of the flags, WCPO reported.

'The Nazis began to back off,' Eley told The Enquirer. 'They quickly jumped in the back of the U-Haul truck and took off.'

'There was just a general sense of unity for pushing people like that out of their community,' he added.

One women counter-protesting the group pulled out lighter fluid and set the flag ablaze, as others joined in - stepping and spitting on the burning flag.

Residents also slashed the tires of a Jeep which they believed belonged to one of the men in the group.

Once the U-Haul pulled off, residents began forming a prayer circle where they joined hands and stayed together well after the hate group dispersed.

Evendale Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department responded to the demonstration, which they said was 'short lived' and the protestors left on their own accord.

The department added that 'the protest, while very offensive, was not unlawful.'

Lincoln Heights Council Member Daniels said that this protest will be at the very top of his mind during the next meeting. He also wants to talk to both the sheriff's office and the police department about why they didn't break up the protest sooner.

'I'm more proud than our residents for showing up and saying that, "Hey, we're not going to allow anybody to come in and bully us in any type of way, especially in this moment,''' he told Local 12.

A group that refers to themselves as 'The Hate Club' - the same group behind the November neo-Nazi march in Columbus - has taken credit for Friday's protest.

November's shocking display, which was done in broad daylight, also enraged Americans as the suspects were heard airing chants disparaging people of color and those who are Jewish on circulated video footage.

There have been no arrests made in either protests, though multiple residents believe that there should have been.

'They just let these people drive off and disrespect us and our heritage,' resident Kachara Talbert told NBC News.

'And y'all going to let these terrorists and racists come over here and do that?'

The Anti-Defamation League Center on Extremism is now tracking down the group that is known for its black and red face masks, according to Local 12.

Several people publicly responded to the twisted demonstration, including Mayor Aftab Pureval who released a statement to X on Friday afternoon.

'Messages of hate like this have no place in our region. It was shocking and disgusting to see swastikas displayed in Evendale today,' he said. 'This is not what we stand for, and it will never be what we stand for.'

The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati also released a statement explaining how it was 'deeply disturbed' by the entire demonstration.

'We will not be intimidated. Our response to hate is to reaffirm our commitment to strengthening community bonds, advancing education, and advocating for a society free of antisemitism and all forms of hate and bigotry,' the group said.

'We urge all citizens of Cincinnati to stand with us in rejecting hate and building a community where all people can live without fear or intimidation.'

The Cincinnati NAACP, a leading civil rights organization, addressed the protest while suggesting that the demonstrators may have been from out of town.

'Recently, in the area, there was a group of individuals waving a symbolism of hate,' the organization said.

'We are aware of the presence and based on the location they chose to display their message of hate; we question their residency in the city of Cincinnati.'

Lincoln Heights also made a statement the following day, which said: 'Racism is ugly, and it was on display yesterday,' The Enquirer reported.

'This kind of activity has no place in Lincoln Heights or anywhere else. We are proud of the restraint our community showed in response to this demonstration,' the statement added.

The response added that the incident is still under investigation.

The Cincinnati NAACP said that the country's current administration, may have, in part, motivated the neo-Nazi group to take to the overpass on Friday afternoon, The Enquirer reported.
They have nothing to do President Trump , but OrangeManBad deserves to be blamed anyway.
'It is well known that people receive messages and actions in different manners,' they said. 'The current executive orders and actions have angered many and emboldened others.'
If only we hadn’t had years of Antifa, BLM, and Hamas-lovers of all sorts showing us in turn how to do it.
In January, Trump called for the elimination of government diversity programs.
…which does nothing to forbid private diversity programs, should someone feel a need to soend their own money to encourage left-handed redheads from Upper Wallonia pursuing advanced degrees in Plumbing Science.
Additionally, the president has followed through on his promises of mass deportations across the country.
Mass deportations of illegal aliens with criminal records at this point. Surely the reporter doesn’t think we are required to submit to being preyed upon by strangers come here for the purpose, when we have perfectly good criminals of our own to keep entertained?
'No matter the political climate in the country, no matter what people seem to think or do, hate will never prevail,' Eley told The Enquirer. 'Freedom will always win out.'
Hear, hear!

Depending on which $$$$ making, Racist Pimp foundation you cite. The numbers for Racists or Racist groups in the USA greatly differ.

BUT !!!
We must also remember to break it down further, instead of allowing such groups to portray a generalization.

Because breaking it down, we quickly see a vast majority, in total human numbers, are: Blacks, then smaller Hispanic, Arab & Asian groups. Which violently attack, commit arson, and Riot and loot from Whites and/or Jewish persons.

NOTE: The Money Making Race Pimps understand their days are coming to an end. So, watch for more of the STAGED or blown way out of proportion events. As the Liberals, Democrats and Media try to stir a pot for attention, that has pretty much drained itself years ago.

Musk's Doge Team Reveals The Biggest Fraud In U.S. History‐$100 Billion Stolen From Taxpayers Through Medicare!
[X] Elon Musk has detonated the most explosive revelation in history, A staggering $100 BILLION—siphoned from the American people, funneled through a system designed not to provide healthcare, but to fuel covert operations, line elite pockets, and sustain an agenda that was never meant to be uncovered.

With Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) peeling back the layers of corruption, Musk’s team has gained limited yet damning access to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the agency responsible for over one billion Medicare claims annually. What they’ve uncovered isn’t just a broken system—it’s a well-oiled criminal empire.

Medicare serves 68 million Americans, Medicaid another 73 million—one in four citizens trapped inside a system designed for plunder. Between June and October 2024, CMS was forced to suspend 850 agents and brokers for fraud, from unauthorized enrollments to illegal plan switches. These were not isolated incidents. They were part of a larger, calculated financial attack embedded in the very core of government healthcare.

The Justice Department has been aware for years. In June 2024, the DOJ indicted 193 defendants—76 of them medical professionals—in a $2.75 billion Medicare fraud operation. Yet these were only the foot soldiers. The true architects remain untouched, operating above the law. Since 2007, over 5,400 defendants have been charged, with more than $27 billion stolen.

The missing $100 billion isn’t missing at all. It’s been redirected into black ops funding, financing CIA shadow programs, experimental weapon development, and covert global influence campaigns. Big Pharma’s role is undeniable, using fraudulent Medicare payouts to keep hospitals, doctors, and insurers locked into their control. Stolen funds also grease the wheels of political machinery—untraceable slush funds financing election interference and opposition suppression. The laundering mechanisms are intricate, cycling through shell companies, offshore accounts, and private equity firms, ensuring those at the top remain untouchable.

Now, the Deep State is preparing its counterattack. The media is mobilizing a disinformation blitz, branding Musk’s findings as “exaggerated” and dismissing his team as “unqualified.” The DOJ and intelligence agencies are poised to retaliate, likely fabricating an investigation into Musk’s access to CMS data under the guise of “national security concerns.” Expect sudden SEC probes into Tesla, antitrust pressure on SpaceX, and government threats against Starlink—all calculated moves to silence him.

The evidence itself is in danger. Cyber warfare and “system glitches” could conveniently erase key data before the public ever sees it. If that fails, personal attacks are inevitable. Expect leaks, “anonymous sources,” and strategically timed scandals designed to discredit Musk before the truth fully surfaces.

This is the moment that will determine who truly controls America. The $100 billion Medicare heist is more than just financial fraud—it’s a revelation that threatens to unravel the entire power structure. If the full extent of this operation is exposed, it won’t just shake Washington—it will collapse the entire corrupt establishment.

This is the war Trump’s DOGE was created for.

Migrants turn back home after Trump tightens border security: report
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Immigrants colonists who were looking to enter the country illegally have turned back after President Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election. Then he beat Kamala while dodging bullets...
's crackdown on illegal immigration, according to a report from Fox News. This comes amidst Trump's actions to secure the southern border as well as pressure Canada and Mexico to police their own borders.

According to the outlet, an internal Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) memo indicated that there were two groups of immigrants colonists looking to cross the border illegally that ended their trek to the southern border and turned around to go back to their home countries.

A group of 23 immigrants colonists that were previously heading to the United States ran into Honduran officers on Wednesday. The group came from the countries of Honduras, Panama, El Salvador, and Venezuela

...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south...

. The memo indicated that when the officers interviewed the immigrants colonists, they said they had to end their journey after "learning about the multi-agency force security on the Southwest Border in social media and through family members in the United States."

The CBP memos also noted another incident where on Feb. 3, Honduran coppers encountered a group of 26 immigrants colonists. They were also going to the US when they found out that Trump had tightened up security and was deporting illegal immigrants colonists.

Fetterman admits Dems are 'toxic' party that 'scolds' and 'talks down to people'
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman criticized his own party for being ''toxic,'' arguing that the Democratic Party alienates voters by "talking down" to them.
Been goin' on forever. Remember "Vote Your Need, Not Your Greed?" That was either 1988, or maybe even 1984.
Speaking on the podcast Somebody's Gotta Win last week, Fetterman discussed with journalist Tara Palmeri the Democratic Party's losses in 2024 and its growing image problem.

"I think their primary currency was shaming and scolding and talking down to people and telling them 'Hey, I know better than you, or you're dopes, or you're a bro, or you're ignorant or, how can you be this dumb? I can't imagine it. And then, by the way, they're fascist
...anybody you disagree with, damn them...
s. How can you vote for that?'" Fetterman said.

Fetterman argued that Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
have lost touch with voters, particularly in working-class states like Pennsylvania.

"I know and I love people that voted for Trump, and they're not fascist. They don't support insurrection and those things. And if you go to an extreme, and you become a boutique kind of proposition, then you're going to lose the argument. And we have done that,'' he said.

He pointed out that the 2024 election should be a wake-up call for the left, calling it a ''gut-check kind of vote'' where Americans wanted a party that was "going to protect or project [their] personal view of the American way of life.'' Fetterman also highlighted the Democratic Party's recent struggles with male voters.

"I think that's been seriously eroding for a while. And in some cases, in the conversations I've had, a lot of people, they don't even want to say it publicly, but they just feel like the other side seems like—the men's the problem," Fetterman explained. "Men are to blame. Or their masculinity is toxic. Or unless you're able to conform to our very strict kinds of definition of what we think is appropriate, well then, hey, I'm going to find an alternative. And they've done that. That's absolutely true."

"And once [they've] kind of turned their back on that demographic, it's going to be difficult to rebuild and replace that with those voters, because I think that migration has been an ongoing phenomenon for several years and that has been in front and center in part of the election in '24," he added.
