[IsraelTimes] British police say they have arrested five men, including four Iranians, on suspicion of “terrorism offenses.”
The arrests were carried out in London, Swindon and the Greater Manchester area and were related to “a suspected plot to target a specific premises,” London’s Metropolitan Police says in a statement.
The men aged between 29 and 46 were arrested on suspicion of “preparation of a terrorist act” and remain in custody, the police say.
The nationality of one of the men is still being established, they say.
“This is a fast-moving investigation and we are working closely with those at the affected site to keep them updated,” says Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism chief Dominic Murphy.
“The investigation is still in its early stages and we are exploring various lines of enquiry to establish any potential motivation as well as to identify whether there may be any further risk to the public linked to this matter,” he says.
[Twitchy] The British National Health Service has been dialing back the 'gender-affirming' insanity when it comes to kids, after several studies and reports showed things like puberty blockers do more harm than good.
Opponents of 'transitioning' kids have fought for years to stop the nonsense because of the harm done, and because a lot of supposed 'trans' kids are actually autistic and not experiencing 'gender dysphoria.'
So it's good that the NHS is recognizing this and testing accordingly:
The NHS will test all children who believe they are transgender for autism under new plans seen by The Telegraph.
Every child referred to a gender clinic will be 'screened for neurodevelopmental conditions' such as autism and ADHD under new guidance, to be introduced in the wake of the Cass review.
The review, by paediatrician Baroness Cass, found that the mental health conditions were disproportionately common among children and young people with gender dysphoria.
Medics will also evaluate each child’s mental health, their relationship with their family and their sexual development, including whether they are experiencing same-sex attraction.
As part of a proposal to incorporate Lady Cass’s recommendations, the health service will move away from the 'medical model' operated by the controversial Tavistock’s Gender Identity Development Service in favour of a 'holistic' approach.
This is good. Will American health care follow suit?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government missed an opportunity to reach a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Singer insists she’s not antisemitic after Cornell concert scrapped: ‘I’m anti-genocide’
R&B singer Kehlani appears to accuse Israel of ‘extermination of an entire people’ as she seeks to push back on criticism over messages that include ‘Long Live the Intifada,’ ‘f— Zionism’. Two people appear briefly in the background of the video. Kehlani said both were Jewish and identified one as her best friend and the other as her engineer. She also cited her work with pro-Palestinian Jewish organizations, including Jewish Voice for Peace, an anti-Zionist Jewish group.
”I don’t hate them because they’re Jewish, it’s just that Jews really are that awful. Besides, some of my best friends are Jewish.”
Tessa Veksler vividly remembers the wave of pain and panic she felt sweeping over her when she walked into a room at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in April 2024. She was about to face a recall vote as student government body president. Her ostensible infraction: mourning, on social media, the victims of the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led massacre and defending Israel’s right to exist.
Veksler recalls noticing “how many people showed up because they were passionate about removing me from office.” The 23-year-old also remembers seeing some empty chairs on the side of the room where her supporters had gathered.
Over several hours, she listened to accusations, insults and verbal abuse. When she gave her statement, students shouted, laughed and smirked. She didn’t waver, but there was fear in the back of her mind, she says, recalling thinking, “What if this motion passes? What if I get removed from office? Is this going to be my legacy on campus?”
The recall vote failed narrowly, and Veksler finished her term as president, all the while setting her sights on the future.
“I didn’t want to just survive this. I wanted to thrive,” she says.
She now lives in New York and works for a PR firm while traveling the country as a sought-after public speaker on antisemitism and anti-Zionism. She’s also one of the main interviewees in “October 8,” a documentary about the explosion of antisemitism on college campuses, social media and the streets of America immediately following the Hamas atrocities in southern Israel, in which some 1,200 people were brutally slaughtered and 251 abducted and taken to the Gaza Strip.
Veksler’s journey exemplifies what many Jewish students in the United States have undergone after October 7 and shows how this experience has created a new generation of Jewish leaders, says Jonathan Falk, vice president of the Israel Action and Addressing Antisemitism Program at Hillel International, the largest Jewish student organization in the world.

[IsrelTimes] Legal experts accuse police of violating city law barring cooperation with federal immigration authorities by providing arrest record of Leqaa Kordia at anti-Israel rally last year
New York City’s police department provided US federal immigration authorities with an internal record about a Paleostinian woman they arrested at a protest, which the White House is now using as evidence in its bid to deport her, according to court documents obtained by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. The report — shared by the NYPD in March — includes a summary of information in the department’s files about Leqaa Kordia, a New Jersey resident who was arrested at a protest outside Columbia University last spring. It lists her home address, date of birth and an officer’s two-sentence account of the arrest.
Its distribution to federal authorities offers a glimpse into behind-the-scenes cooperation between the NYPD and the Trump administration, and raises questions about the city’s compliance with sanctuary laws that prohibit police from assisting with immigration enforcement efforts.

[IsraelTimes] Russian-Israeli citizen appears bandaged in second sign of life in past month; Egyptian official tells Hezbollah-aligned outlet that Hamas can’t be forced into ‘further concessions’
Hamas published a propaganda video on Saturday showing signs of life from Maxim Herkin, the second such clip of the hostage put out by the terror group in the past month.
In the latest video, Herkin appeared to be severely bandaged up. Hamas claimed that he was in a tunnel allegedly targeted in an Israeli airstrike.
Most Israeli media do not carry the video clips themselves. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum requested that media outlets not publish the video or stills from it unless Herkin’s family provides approval.
Government hostage point man Gal Hirsch spoke with Herkin’s family after the release of the video. According to Hirsch’s office, the Herkins implored that Israeli news outlets not air the video of their son.
Last week, Hamas published a highly-produced propaganda video showing operatives rescuing a hostage, claimed to be Herkin, from under sand inside a tunnel.
Last month, the terror group published a video showing him and fellow hostage Bar Kupershtein. Both hostages were kidnapped by terrorists from the Nova music festival near Re’im.
Hamas has previously issued similar videos of hostages it is holding, in what Israel says is deplorable psychological warfare.
Herkin and Kupershtein are among the 24 hostages that Israel has said it believes to still be alive of the 59 total hostages that remain in captivity in Gaza, though Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife Sara said this week there are fewer than 24 living captives.
Herkin, a dual Russian-Israeli citizen, was 35 at the time of his abduction, has a three-year-old daughter, and was the primary provider for his mother and 11-year-old brother. He attended the Nova festival by chance, invited by friends at the last minute. It was the first time he had gone to a rave.
In February, Hamas said that Herkin would be prioritized during the second stage of the hostage deal, if it were to be signed, as a gesture to the Russian government. However, the agreement between Israel and Hamas fell apart after its first stage, with Israel renewing the fighting in Gaza in March.
‘NOTHING NEW TO NEGOTIATE’
Meanwhile, an Egyptian official familiar with the negotiations for a hostage release and ceasefire deal in Gaza said on Friday, “There is nothing new to negotiate, and no further concessions to force Hamas to make.”
Speaking to Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar, a news outlet affiliated with Hezbollah, the unnamed official claimed that the real issue was the absence of “an American-Israeli will to end the war.”
The official additionally warned that the Trump administration’s bet that Israel will be able to extract further concessions from Hamas, presumably through military force, is a “mistake.”
The report said that Egypt was backing a proposal that would see all the hostages released at once in exchange for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and a long-term truce.
However, the outlet said there are also “discussions” for an alternative formula that would see a temporary truce of less than a year, to be implemented in two phases and with American guarantees.
It is unclear who was involved in the talks on the secondary proposal.
According to the report, that plan would include a preliminary Israeli commitment to complete the negotiating process that would eventually lead to the end of the war, with the first phase seeing Hamas handing over more than half of the living hostages and the remains of some of the slain captives.
The outlet did not give further details on the second phase.
Hamas opposes partial or temporary truce proposals, while Netanyahu has rejected plans that would see an end to the war before the complete dismantling of Hamas as a military and governing power.

[IsraelTimes] Soldiers to show up in coming week; ministers set to vote on army’s plans in Sunday cabinet meeting, after premier authorized them over weekend

The tens of thousands of reservists being called up would begin to show up in the military in the coming week, according to the IDF. The reservists have likely been called up multiple times already during the war.
On Friday, during a security consultation, the military presented Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with its planned staged offensive in Gaza, which will require substantial mobilization.
Israel’s security cabinet was slated to convene on Sunday so ministers could vote to approve the military plans authorized by Netanyahu.
Currently, three IDF divisions are operating in Gaza, in an offensive that the military has said is aimed at pressuring Hamas back into a hostage deal, and not destroying the terror group.
Israeli officials have repeatedly warned that if no hostage deal is reached soon, the military would launch a major offensive aimed at defeating Hamas. The intensified offensive would see the IDF operating in new areas of the Strip.
The military said that the pressure on Hamas would increase incrementally, and the call-up of the reservists was part of its staged plans, because the terror group has been refusing to agree to a deal.
The reservists may not be sent to Gaza, but rather to other fronts — Leb ...Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects.... , Syria, and the West Bank — and swap out members of the standing army who will be deployed to the Strip.
The IDF has said that calling up reservists was being carried out solely out of "practical and operational interests," amid mounting letters signed by veterans calling for a hostage deal with Hamas, even if it comes at the cost of ending the war.
The military has assessed that Hamas still has organized forces in some areas of the Gaza Strip, especially in its center, where the terror group is working to preserve its "quality" fighters, alongside the recruitment of teenagers.
In areas where the IDF is operating — including Rafah and the Strip’s far north — Hamas is operating as a decentralized guerrilla group, according to the military’s assessments.
The IDF has said that it sees the return of the 59 hostages still held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip as the most important goal of the war, with defeating the terror group in second place, after Netanyahu declared that "victory" over the terror group was the most important aim.

On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... rebels early Saturday morning fired a ballistic missile at Israel, triggering sirens in Jerusalem and some areas of southern Israel, in the fourth attack by the Iran-backed terror group in some 25 hours.
The Israel Defense Forces reported that the missile was successfully intercepted by air defenses.
There were no reports of injuries or damage in the attack.
Sirens sounded at 6:25 a.m. in Jerusalem and the surrounding area, along with several southern West Bank settlements and Israeli communities near the Dead Sea.
Preceding the sirens by some five minutes, an early alert warning was issued to a wide area in Jerusalem and southern Israel, alerting civilians of the long-range missile attack via a push notification on their phones.
The new alert system, which was recently activated, has faced teething trouble of either not sending alerts or sending out warnings over a wider area than the sirens cover.
Later on Saturday, the IDF said it shot down a drone apparently launched from Yemen.
The drone was intercepted over the Egypt border area, and sirens were not activated in any towns.
On Friday, the Houthis fired two ballistic missiles at northern Israel, claiming to have targeted the Ramat David Airbase and the coastal city of Haifa. The IDF said both missiles, which set off sirens at 5:31 a.m. and 1:38 p.m., were intercepted.
Additionally, on Friday evening, the IDF said another drone launched at Israel "from the east" — code for Yemen — was shot down by the Israeli Air Force. No sirens sounded "according to protocol," the IDF added.

Strip, the Houthis in Yemen have launched some 26 ballistic missiles and several drones at Israel. Only around half of them triggered sirens in the country and were shot down, while the others fell short.
The sirens often send hundreds of thousands of Israelis rushing to shelters at all hours of the night, causing a number of injuries in the scramble. The sirens are a precaution against falling debris from intercepts that have occasionally caused injuries, death and damage.
The Houthis — whose slogan is "Death to America, Death to Israel, a Curse on the Jews" — first began attacking Israel and maritime traffic in November 2023, a month after the October 7 Hamas attack.
In recent weeks, the United States has been carrying out massive Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in Yemen against the Houthis, targeting their leadership and infrastructure.

[KhaamaPress] Energy generation in Pakistain is facing a severe crisis this year, driven by declining water levels in major reservoirs—a development expected to negatively affect manufacturing, business activity, and daily life across the country. The situation is compounded by frequent and prolonged power outages, with some experts warning that Pakistain may be facing its worst-ever water crisis. Reports indicate that water shortages in the Indus River have broken a 100-year record.
Tarbela Dam, Pakistain’s largest hydroelectric facility with an installed capacity of 4,888 megawatts, has been particularly impacted. Once capable of storing about 9.68 million acre-feet (MAF) of water, its live storage dropped to between 0.8 and 0.9 MAF in the third week of April—reaching its dead level of 1,402 feet. This has forced the shutdown of 12 out of 17 power generation units, leaving only five units operational. The significant decline in output has reduced supply to the national grid and created uncertainty about how authorities will meet growing energy demands.

To what end? The last time round President Trump wanted agreements to support removing American forces from Afghanistan. Since then, they have been removed. In the most harum scarum, destructive way possible, leaving behind both Americans and local allies to suffer at the hand of the new Talib caliphate, but gone nonetheless. If President Trump means to rescue them all, what can he offer to bargain with?

Muttaqi stated: "We have repeatedly stressed that the United States must adopt a realistic view of the current situation in Afghanistan. Wais Naseri, a political analyst, said: "A de facto relationship—meaning practical ties—has existed with all countries, especially the United States, Russia, India, China, and Pakistain, over the past three years and eight months. However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... a legitimate, state-to-state relationship has not yet been established, mainly due to global conditions and the positions of the US, Russia, India, China, Pakistain, and the UN Security Council."

He added: "We consider Russia’s recent decision a significant step. Now, more economic cooperation is possible. Afghanistan’s geographic location can also be advantageous for Russia."
Fazl Rahman Oria, another political analyst, commented: "Afghanistan must adopt a balanced and completely neutral foreign policy between Eastern and Western powers, and protect its legitimate national interests accordingly."
Regarding regional ties, Muttaqi said the Islamic Emirate seeks no tension between India and Pakistain and supports direct dialogue for resolving disputes.
He also stated that new opportunities for political, economic, cultural, and trade cooperation have emerged between Kabul and Doha.
[IsraelTimes] A US federal judge has struck down Donald Trump ...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried.... ’s punitive executive order targeting law firm Perkins Coie as a violation of the US Constitution’s protections for free speech and due process, in a setback for the Republican president’s campaign against the legal industry.
US District Judge Beryl Howell’s ruling is the first by any judge deciding the legal merits of any of the several directives Trump has aimed at law firms that have handled legal challenges to his actions, represented political adversaries, or employed lawyers who have taken part in investigations of him.
Howell, based in Washington, has barred federal agencies from enforcing Trump’s March 6 order against Perkins Coie. The judge previously issued a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of key provisions of Trump’s directive.
The Justice Department can appeal Howell’s order to the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Perkins Coie, a 1,200-lawyer firm founded in Seattle, represented the campaign of 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Crooked Hillary Clinton ...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away. Politix is not one of her talents, but it's something she keeps trying to do... , whom Trump defeated in his first presidential run. Trump’s executive order sought to restrict its lawyers from accessing government buildings and officials, and threatened to cancel federal contracts held by the firm’s clients. The firm sued, calling the order a violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment protections against government abridgment of speech and Fifth Amendment guarantee of due process — a requirement for the government to use a fair legal process.
The judge’s ruling represents the broadest rebuke yet for Trump’s pressure campaign against law firms that he has accused of "weaponizing" the justice system against him and his political allies. US Justice Department lawyer Richard Lawson, defending the orders in court, argued in each case that Trump was lawfully exercising his presidential power and discretion.
Three other major law firms — WilmerHale, Jenner & Block and Susman Godfrey — also sued the administration to block executive orders Trump issued against them. Other judges have temporarily blocked those orders while the cases proceed.

Judge Howell makes BigLaw sound like Little Orphan Annie but their profit levels would make Liz Warren blush. Here's a list from Wikipedia. Make the rich pay their fair share. Another line of inquiry is that at least a few of the BigLaw firms do "dirty work" -- someone represents the semi-legitimate interests of the Sinaloa cartel in the US and it ain't a storefront lawyer in Fargo, North Dakota. So Trump should use his giant megaphone to give BigLaw some much-deserved publicity.

''If India attacks Pakistain, we will respond with full force— India is actively plotting to destabilise Azad Kashmir," he said while addressing the All-Parties Kashmir Conference.
He emphasised that Pakistain's politicianship must demonstrate complete solidarity and stand firmly behind the armed forces in the face of Indian aggression.
He said that there was dire need to avoid discussing things that could create problem for Pakistain internationally. He, however, maintained that it was appropriate time for us as Kashmiris to talk as the stalemate on the issue has been broken for the first time since 2019.

[GEO.TV] Prime Minister's Adviser Rana Sanaullah said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seeking to harm Pakistain and destabilise the region through "aggressive policies and economic sabotage".

He also slammed India's unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, terming it a clear violation of international agreements.
He said the recent tragic incident in Pahalgam claimed the lives of innocent people and that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had demanded an investigation, but India showed no willingness to cooperate.

[GEO.TV] Federal Minister for Climate Change, Dr Musadik Malik, has accused India of exploiting the Pahalgam incident to divert attention from its internal challenges, particularly its treatment of minorities.
Speaking to a private news channel, he emphasised that Pakistan has consistently called for dialogue and has proposed an independent international investigation into the matter.
He stressed that Pakistan has avoided escalating tensions, focusing instead on promoting peace and regional stability.
''We have not issued threats, and we continue to safeguard our borders while maintaining internal security,'' he asserted.
Dr Malik also accused India of violating the Indus Waters Treaty by failing to share mandatory information and avoiding scheduled meetings between the water commissioners.
''India has made excuses for not attending the commissioners' meetings,'' he noted.

Another win for the Israel-haters following the recent election in Canada.
EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — The U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico says a total of 82 people have been charged through Thursday for unauthorized entry into the military’s new buffer zone along the border with Mexico.
The charges follow the recent establishment of a 170-mile long, 60-foot-wide National Defense Area on federal land adjacent to the border wall in New Mexico. Signs in English and Spanish have been posted along that stretch.
Migrants have been arrested on charges of unlawful entry of military property since at least April 24 -- though technically anyone, including U.S. citizens, could face sanctions. That has caused discomfort among leaders of civil rights organizations concerned about possible abuses and what they deem a "militarization" of border communities. Those "concerned" have demonstrated they don't give a damn about border security or national integrity. Using the term "militarization" is the stinking indication of their bias. I expect any day now yet another federal judge will issue a national injunction preventing the US Army from doing its duty.

Historical ignorance. There is a reason Fort Bliss and Fort Huachuca are there. Apache raiders, Mexican bandits, throw in some Pancho Villa and you understand that for the 19th Century and the early part of the 20th Century, the military were right on the border to deal with real threats.

According to the BBC, Shabir Ahmad Dar, a man from IIOJK who had been selling intricate pashmina shawls in the hill town of Mussoorie for two decades, was seen being publicly assaulted and harassed along with a fellow Kashmiri salesman in a video that circulating social media.
In the video, the attackers, who were members of a Hindu right-wing group, thrashed and hurled abuses at Shabir and his friend as they ransacked their stall, located on a busy boulevard.
"They blamed us for the attack, told us to leave town and never show our faces again," said Shabir.
His goods, worth thousands of dollars, remain abandoned at the stall. "But we are too scared to go back," he admitted.
While police arrested three individuals later in response to the outcry over the assault, their subsequent release on bail after paying a fine and issuing an apology to the victims has done little to assuage the fear gripping the Kashmiri community in Mussoorie.
But Dar had already left by then, along with dozens of other Kashmiri shawl sellers, who, after living in Mussoorie for decades, say they no longer feel safe there.
The Pahalgam attack has unleashed a wave of hostility towards Kashmiris residing in various Indian cities.
Over a dozen reports have emerged detailing harassment, vilification, and threats faced by Kashmiri vendors and students at the hands of right-wing groups, and even from their own classmates, customers, and neighbours, the BBC reported.
Harrowing videos circulating online show Kashmiri students being chased off campuses and assaulted in the streets.
In an appeal for peace, a survivor of the Pahalgam attack, whose naval officer husband was killed, urged people not to target Moslems and Kashmiris. "We want peace and only peace," she pleaded.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Elon Musk has won a vote to create his own Texas city as part of his ambitious pledge to colonize Mars.
The SpaceX boss will turn his company's headquarters at Boca Chica - at the southern tip of the Lone Star State - into a city named Starbase.
Residents voted 173 to 4 to incorporate Starbase as a city, Bloomberg reported.
Most of the voters who live there are Musk's employees at SpaceX, which he relocated to Texas over California's new gender identity laws earlier this year.
The vote also appointed the city's first mayor Bobby Peden and two city commissioners - Jenna Petrzelka and Jordan Buss. All three are current and former SpaceX employees.
Starbase is the facility and launch site for the SpaceX rocket program that is under contract with the Department of Defense and NASA that hopes to send astronauts back to the moon and someday to Mars.
Musk first floated the idea of Starbase in 2021 and approval of the new city was all but certain. Most of the 283 eligible voters in the area are Starbase workers.

Three months after the deadliest aviation disaster in more than two decades, two passengers planes were forced to abort their landings at Reagan National Airport after an Army Black Hawk helicopter veered off course.
The two commercial airliners were both forced into last-second go-arounds on Thursday afternoon when the Army aircraft deviated from its approved flight path flying dangerously close to the arriving passenger jets.
The incident is particularly alarming given its parallels to the January disaster in which another Army Black Hawk collided midair with an American Eagle CRJ-700, killing 67 people in the worst US aviation accident since 2001.

[FoxNews] Iran has 'incentive to lie,' expert warns
The massive explosion that rocked Iran’s Shahid Rajaee port in the southern coastal town of Bandar Abbas has exposed the "deep vulnerabilities" of the Islamic Republic’s vital sectors as its concerns over internal unrest mount.
Iranian authorities this week have faced mounting accusations of negligence and an attempt to "cover up" death toll figures and the strong suspicion it was using a civilian port to import explosive materials for the military.
But what remains largely unknown is the extent of the damage, the economic impact and how it will directly affect Iranians already discontent with the Iranian regime.
"Rajaee Port is Iran's primary hub for maritime exports and imports, particularly for oil-based products," Saeed Ghasseminejad, a senior advisor on Iran and an expert on its economy with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told Fox News Digital.
Ghasseminejad explained that the southern port accounted for 52% of Tehran’s oil trade in terms of volume, 77% of its industrial metals and 85% of all container shipments, though he pointed out it is not Iran's only major port.
"At this stage, there is no credible damage assessment," Ghasseminejad added, noting all guesses at this point about the extent of the damage were speculation based on images of the damage to the containers and the administrative buildings in the port.
But he noted that "if the damage proves to be extensive and severe, it could place the regime under significant economic and logistical pressure."
Just two days after the explosion, Tehran claimed port operations had returned to normal. Iran says the explosion killed 70, but some sources estimate the toll could be closer to 250.
A significant difference…
Drone footage of the port showed substantial damage, including the destruction of the nearby administrative buildings and a crater left by the explosion.
Officials with the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) also told Fox News Digital that eyewitnesses have suggested it could take up to 20 days to extinguish ongoing fires, some of which are believed to be in the shipping containers.
Contrast with the report we had Wednesday that the fire was under control.
"A clearer picture should emerge in the coming weeks," Ghasseminejad said. "It is unlikely that the port is back to its normal operation and full capacity given the damage to the administrative buildings, the infrastructure, and the fact that hundreds of people working at the port are unfortunately dead, missing or injured.
"The regime has the incentive to lie as it wants to show it has control over the situation, but a lot of sources inside Iran in the business community differ."
The Iranian regime was accused of "covering up" the death toll this week by the NCRI, which has spoken to eyewitnesses at the port, in a move to counter internal dissidence. It also took steps to limit access to information for not only local residents but media outlets, and it downplayed the severity of the incident.
"Regardless of the final assessment, the explosion underscores the deep vulnerabilities in Iran’s critical infrastructure and the regime's incompetence," Ghasseminejad said, "vulnerabilities that are even more acute in sectors vital to the regime’s survival, such as crude oil export terminals and gas production facilities.
"The regime is now both incompetent and weak, a deadly combination."
Like the Chinese, Moslems traditionally see a wave of successes as proof the rulers have the Mandate of Heaven, and a wave of failures as its rejection.
[FoxNews] Soros-backed prosecutor in Minneapolis hit with DOJ civil rights probe
The Justice Department has opened a civil rights investigation into the Minneapolis-area Hennepin County Attorney’s Office’s new directive for its prosecutors to consider race when negotiating plea deals with criminal defendants.
Attorney General Pam Bondi, Acting Associate Attorney General Chad Mizelle and Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon informed Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty in a letter that the Justice Department is opening a probe into whether the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office "engaged in a pattern of practice of depriving persons of rights, privileges or immunities secured or protect by the Constitution or laws of the United States."
The letter, dated May 2, cited Moriarty’s recently adopted "Negotiations Policy for Cases Involving Adult Defendants," which instructs prosecutors to consider race when formulating plea offers, stating that "racial identity… should be part of the overall analysis," and that prosecutors "should be identifying and addressing racial disparities at decision points, as appropriate."
"In particular, the investigation will focus on whether HCAO engages in illegal consideration of race in its prosecutorial decision-making," they said in the letter, which Dhillon shared on X.
Bondi, Mizelle and Dhillon said their investigation will include "a comprehensive review of all relevant HCAO policies and practices that may involve tconsiderationofrace in prosecutorial decision-making."
Dhillon has also authorized a "full investigation to determine whether the HCAO is engaged in a pattern or practice of depriving persons of rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States."
"Please be assured that we have not reached any conclusions about the subject matter of the investigation," their letter addressed to Moriarty said. "We will consider all relevant information, and we welcome your assistance in helping to identify what that might be. We would appreciate your cooperation in our investigation. In our years enforcing civil rights statutes involving state and local law enforcement agencies, we have worked with jurisdictions of all sizes across the nation to resolve investigations, usually without contested litigation."
The letter said the Civil Rights Division’s Special Litigation Sections will oversee the investigation and will be in contact with Moriarty "shortly to set up a mutually agreeable date and time to discuss the parameters of this investigation, including the scope of information that we will be seeking from you."
Fox News Digital reached out to Moriarty's office and the DOJ for comment on Sunday.
Moriarty was elected among a wave of progressive district attorneys who took office following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and subsequent Black Lives Matter protests and riots. She has been backed by groups tied to money from megadonor George Soros, one of the most prominent backers of progressive issues in the United States.
The former chief public defender for the county, Moriarty became the Hennepin County Attorney in January 2023 after promising to deliver on holding police accountable in the community where Floyd was killed.
Moriarty’s two immediate predecessors had been in office for a combined 31 years, and her promises of dramatic changes had the backing of the state Democratic Party and community leaders. Since then, however, Moriarty has faced fierce backlash, even among some former supporters, as critics questioned decisions to seek lighter sentences for violent crimes in some cases and to divert more people to programs rather than jail.
Police officers, local officials and some progressive activists condemned Moriarty after she charged a White state trooper with the killing of a Black man last summer, only to later reverse course and drop the charges. Leaders of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association had waged a high-profile campaign urging Tim Walz, the state’s governor and former Democratic vice presidential nominee, to reassign the prosecution away from Moriarty.
Last month, Republicans across the North Star State condemned Moriarty for failing to charge a Walz staffer who allegedly vandalized at least six Tesla vehicles. President Donald Trump's administration has identified Tesla vandalism as "domestic terrorism" and led a nationwide effort alongside the Justice Department to hold vandals accountable.

The ultimate fantasy is repeating the glory days of Watergate by driving the president from office.
That was certainly the aim in Donald Trump’s first term, where the hunt by Democrats with press passes — and the help of a corrupt FBI — was so intense that they produced a near-daily flood of lurid allegations, with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax being the grand climax.
But Trump 2.0 is turning out to be a far different story, though not because the press has decided to be fair in its coverage.
[Telegraph via MSN] The man who masterminded Donald Trump's tariffs regime says Britain is now a 'compliant servant of communist China' that faces having its 'blood sucked' by leaders in Beijing.
Economist Peter Navarro's influence on the President has helped redraw the boundaries of global trade over the past month.
Navarro is known for his hostility towards China and claims that, in the face of overwhelming US tariffs of 145 per cent against the Asian superpower, the Chinese may turn their attentions towards the UK.
'If the Chinese vampire can't suck the American blood, it's going to suck the UK blood and the EU blood,' he told The Telegraph.
Navarro said the present moment was 'a very dangerous time for the world economies' in terms of their exposure to Chinese money.
He added: 'And let's face it, the UK has been an all too compliant servant of the Chinese Communist Party because of the string-laden gifts that China gives as a way of spreading its soft power.'
The decision by China's Jingye Steel to shutter the Scunthorpe steel works has reinforced fears about the Chinese government's power in the UK.
The UK government has now taken control of the Scunthorpe site and senior figures inside the Labour Party have urged the government to carry out a full review of Chinese investment in critical UK infrastructure and industry.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] President Donald Trump is so desperate for a new Air Force One jet that he asked a Florida-based company to overhaul a plane once used by the Qatari government.
The moves comes amid years-long delays in the provision of two replacements for the aging presidential planes that the president commissioned during his last time in office.
After becoming frustrated at Boeing's apparently inability to deliver the order Trump wants L3Harris, a defense contractor, to transform the luxury aircraft previously used by Qatar by the fall, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Back in February, Trump traveled to Palm Beach International Airport and toured the plane on the tarmac.
Based on pictures of interior, which boasted leather furniture along with glimmering floors and ceilings, it matched perfectly with Trump's famously opulent taste in décor.
Its a major setback for Boeing, which had been tapped during Trump's first term to deliver a new pair of state-of-the-art planes to replace the old ones that have been in service since George H.W. Bush administration.
Boeing has fallen so behind on the $3.9 billion project that it now fears it won't be able to finish building the planes before Trump leaves office. They were supposed to be finished last year, but a series of supplier and engineering snags has caused the project to take years and go billions over budget.
Behind the scenes it appears Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg's visit to the White House on April 18 did nothing to smooth things over.

#2 Hmm....did they EMP proof the electronics?
Posted by: Procopius2k 2025-05-04 07:48
P2K,
My understanding is that the electronics have been the biggest issue - basically having to rewire the complete airframe, which is something normally done during construction, and a long difficult process at best one the plane's assembled. That's complicated by the requirements of an EMP resistant ( not -proof, nothing can be) airframe.
Boeing has built the most EMP-resistant airframes ever, the E-4 Nightwatch and the current Air Force Ones. They are, however, incapable of doing so now.
[FoxWeather] Measuring up to 8-feet long, the nonvenomous eastern indigo snakes are the longest snakes native to North America.
Officials released 42 eastern indigo snakes into the wilds of Florida this week in an effort to recover local populations of the species.
Measuring up to 8-feet long, the nonvenomous eastern indigo snakes are the longest snakes native to North America, according to The Nature Conservancy (TNC). The apex predator species serves a critical role in keeping the wildlife community balanced by eating small rodents and even other snakes.
But due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the eastern indigo snake population plummeted and largely disappeared from northern Florida by the early 1980s.
The recent reintroduction of 22 female and 20 male eastern indigo snakes into the northern Florida preserve known as TNC’s Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines Preserve (ABRP) is the latest in a nearly decade-long campaign to help the snakes rebound and provide balance to the ecosystem.
This brings the number of eastern indigo snakes released into ABRP to over 200.
The latest snake cohort was bred at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens’ Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation (OCIC), The Nature Conservancy said. The animals then spent their first year of life at the OCIC before they spent their second year at Welaka National Fish Hatchery.
"The eastern indigo snake reintroduction program continues to make strides towards success," said Michelle Hoffman, biologist with the OCIC. "With increased monitoring efforts we are able to gather data to better inform the status of the reintroduced animals and how they persist on the landscape."
The snakes’ success also means the success of the landscape where they live. Officials said that the eastern indigo snake population is tied to the restoration of longleaf pine forests in northern Florida.
Once covering more than 90 million acres across the Southeast, they only cover about 5 million acres today. By reintroducing the eastern indigo snakes into longleaf pine forests, such as those in the ABRP, officials say the snakes will play an important part in bringing pine forests back.
[FoxNews] Claudia Sheinbaum rejects US military assistance amid cartel crisis
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum publicly confirmed she rejected U.S. military assistance from President Donald Trump, who was looking to help the country fight drug trafficking and violent cartels.
Responding to a Wall Street Journal report Friday that detailed the offer, Sheinbaum confirmed "it's true."
Trump reportedly called Sheinbaum and asked, "How can we help you fight drug trafficking?"
She told Trump the country will "never accept" the presence of the U.S. Army in its territory.
"No, President Trump, our territory is inalienable, sovereignty is inalienable," Sheinbaum said. "We can collaborate. We can work together, but with you in your territory and us in ours. We can share information, but we will never accept the presence of the United States Army on our territory."
In a written statement to Fox News Digital Saturday, White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly highlighted coordinated efforts with Mexico to address border security.
"President Trump has worked with President Sheinbaum to advance border security collaboration with Mexico to the highest levels ever," Kelly wrote. "This robust cooperation and information sharing is delivering tangible results, including the removal of numerous cartel leaders to the U.S. to face justice and creating the most secure border in history."
Since taking office, Trump has continued to use CIA drones to conduct surveillance flights over the country in coordination with the Mexican government.
He has also formally named drug cartels "foreign terrorist" groups.
However, Kelly said Mexico must do more to protect Americans from dangerous foreign terrorist organizations and "the drugs and violence they flood into communities on both sides of the border."
"We will continue exploring ways to enhance our efforts across the region to dismantle these transnational criminal organizations," she wrote. "We will make America safe again."
The Heritage Foundation, a top conservative group, released a report in January detailing how Trump could use the military to confront the border crisis.
It argued that Mexican cartels are continuing to grow, illegal immigration and narcotics smuggling have accelerated and U.S.-Mexico security cooperation has deteriorated.
However, the report noted direct military action against cartels should be a "last resort," preferring joint military action with Mexican coordination, Fox News Digital previously reported.
"In the appropriate context, unilateral U.S. military action may be employed to disrupt cartel activity and prompt cooperation from a resistant Mexican government," the group wrote.
The foundation claimed Mexico was unlikely to change its stance when Sheinbaum was elected despite the escalating threat from cartels.
[FoxNews] Felix Rojas has an ICE detainer for his arrest after his alleged heinous crime on a New York City subway
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) slammed The New York Times Saturday over a story about a suspect who allegedly raped a corpse on a New York City subway, saying the reporters failed to mention the man was in the U.S. illegally.
"The New York Times refused to mention anywhere in its 400-word story on the monstrous rape of a corpse on the NYC subway that the depraved perpetrator is an ILLEGAL alien," Tricia McLaughlin, DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, wrote on X. "Why not report the facts, @nytimes?"
Fox News Digital has reached out to The New York Times for comment.
Several other outlets also failed to report on Rojas' immigration status, and the New York Post reported that his immigration status was unknown at the time of its story Tuesday about the incident. On Friday, the Post followed up with a separate story reporting that Rojas was in the U.S. illegally.
DHS issued a news release announcing Rojas' ICE detainer May 1, three days after the Times story, which does not appear to have been updated with his immigration status since Monday. The Times hasn't written any additional stories about Rojas since.
According to DHS, Rojas, who illegally entered the country multiple times dating back to 1998, was arrested in New York City and charged with rape and grand larceny for allegedly raping a corpse on a subway in Manhattan.
A man who died of natural causes on the R train was slumped over in a seat, the NYPD told Fox News. Rojas allegedly rummaged through the man's pockets and then had sex with the man's dead body after looking around to see if anyone was watching, police say.
Investigators are now looking into the possibility he could be linked to other crimes across the city.
"With impunity, open-border policies have allowed violent criminal aliens to terrorize America’s towns and cities," McLaughlin said in a statement. "Under President Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem’s leadership, ICE is working around the clock to remove the worst of the worst from our communities. If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you and lock you up."

I will pray for Felix, but it seems as if he will be an unpopular roommate in Gen Pop. Not sure how NY subways could get more dystopian. Probably, would be a good idea not to have Felix take the stand in his own defense.

[TAC] They call it "just this once." But that’s how it always begins. One unconstitutional act becomes a precedent — and suddenly, lawless power becomes routine. From Tacitus to Paine, Dickinson to Washington, history has screamed the warning: precedent is how tyranny becomes law. In this episode, we trace the oldest trick in the tyrant’s playbook — and why free people must resist it before it’s too late.
Should have been released 3 years ago, using Biden's name. As it actually points out many of the Biden Regime's, and its Liberal Pravda MSM tactics, during that illegally empowered Coup period.
[RFI.FR] Romanians head to the polls on Sunday in the first round of a presidential election re-run, five months after the previous vote was annulled over allegations of Russian interference — a decision that plunged the country into political chaos and mass protests. The election will determine the country's leadership at a time when its position within the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... and NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... , as well as its foreign policy direction, face significant challenges.
The unprecedented annulment of the presidential election on 6 December, 2024 came after allegations of Russian interference favouring the initial front-runner, Calin Georgescu.
The move plunged the country into widespread protests and political instability, fuelled by US Vice-President JD Vance, who, during a speech at the Munich Security Conference in February, questioned European values of democracy if "European courts cancel elections".

I hope they overturn democracy again.
Just make it even more clear that the European people are the real enemy, much more than Russia ever could be.
JD Vance was right.
Time to start treating Europe as an adversary. Just like we do Russia and Iran and North Korea and all the others who hate our democracy and our values.
We are well-placed to begin military interventions against Europe, just like we're ready to begin military intervention against Iran, and for the same reasons.

[Regnum] Tremors of magnitude 6.0 were recorded in the Gorontalo region of Indonesia. This was reported on May 3 by the Indonesian seismological and meteorological agency BMKG.
It is specified that the earthquake was felt in such remote areas of Gorontalo as North Sulawesi, North Kalimantan and Central Sulawesi. The epicenter of the tremors was located at a depth of 97 km.
There were no reports of damage or casualties, and no tsunami threat was announced.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, a strong earthquake measuring 7.5 struck off the coast of Chile on May 2. A tsunami warning was issued due to the tremors. The coastal area of the Magallanes region in the south of the country is being evacuated because of this.
Earlier, on April 27, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 was recorded in the South Pacific Ocean near Macquarie Island, which is part of Australia. The epicenter of the tremors was located at a distance of about 1.5 thousand km from the large island of Tasmania.
[CHANNELSTV] Less than 48 hours after the North-East governors held its 11th forum meeting in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, suspected Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... bandidos holy warriors have reportedly attacked the 27 Task Force Brigade, Bunigari in Gujba Local Government Area of the state.
The residents of Bunigari told Channels Television that the bandidos holy warriors who came in the early hours of Saturday, targeted the military base.
''It was in the early hours of today, around 1.00am we heard a heavy shootout at the 27 Task Force Brigade which is unusual to the test firing by the military. We later confirmed it was suspected holy warriors,'' they said.

A military source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, also confirmed the attack but said the details were still sketchy as at time of filing-in this report.
The bandidos holy warriors had in the last few weeks attacked military formations, destroyed cell culvert along Goniri Road as well kidnapped individuals along the Damaturu-Bunigari-Biu Road, creating fear in the hearts of the surrounding communities.
This is happening after the Northeast governors met to adopt approaches to tackle the insecurity the region has been facing in the last fifteen years.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
[ColonelCassad] Russia's liberal hope of the 2000s commented on the threats of the cocaine Fuhrer.
The green unshaven asshole said that he rejects Putin's offer of a three-day truce on May 9 and cannot ensure the safety of world leaders in Moscow.
And who is looking for his guarantees? Just a verbal provocation. Nothing more.
The bastard understands that in the event of a real provocation on Victory Day, no one can guarantee that May 10 will come in Kiev (c) Medvedev
It is worth noting that Medvedev has previously made a number of ultimatum threats that generally led to nothing, so the value of his threats has somewhat diminished since the beginning of the war.
The threats of the cocaine Fuhrer to shell Moscow are, of course, more verbal, since such attacks, if they happen at all, will create new diplomatic or even military opportunities for Moscow.
And secondly, Moscow's air defense system is pumped up enough to stop a massive drone attack on the approach, which it has already done more than once, when only a few drones reached the outskirts, where they were shot down.
Of course, if such an attack occurs and the air defense misses something, there is no way to avoid retaliatory strikes on the center of Kiev.
It can be done in advance, on May 8, in the Verkhovna Rada, where they will vote for the deal with the USA.
[IOL.CO.ZA] Nigerian troops have killed more than 40 members of the radical Islamist group Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... in north-eastern Borno state, according to an army front man quoted in the National Mirror and other media on Saturday.
Major General Chris Olukolade said fighting started as turbans tried to free other Boko Haram members who had been captured by the army on Thursday.
Four government soldiers were killed and nine injured.
The army recovered more than 16 rifles as well as ammunition and bomb-making materials.
Merely sixteen rifles divided among 40+ gunnies? That equation seems a little off.
The incident occurred in Bulanbuli, in central Borno state near the Sambisa forest, where Boko Haram has established an enclave and where it is believed to be holding more than 100 schoolgirls it kidnapped earlier this month.
Replenishing their sales stock, it appears. Apparently the previous supply was married off to the lads or sold abroad for profit…. or both, leaving the cupboard bare.
Borno is one of three northern states that the government placed under a state of emergency last May to curb attacks by Boko Haram, which wants to establish an Islamist state.
Clearly an effective, well-thought tactic. Or not, as the case most definitely appears to be.
The group is responsible for thousands of deaths since it began its insurgency in 2009.

[FoxNews] President Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election. Then he beat Kamala while dodging bullets... will host a military parade in June to honor military veterans and active-duty service members and commemorate the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday, Fox News Digital has learned.
The parade is scheduled for June 14, the 250th birthday of the United States Army and Trump’s birthday.
The parade will have reenactors, equipment and more from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War/Desert Storm and the Global War on Terror (Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria). It will also feature active-duty service members and students at U.S. military academies.
The parade comes after Trump, in January, signed an executive order creating "Task Force 250," which is focused on coordinating the plans and activities celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence. The 250th anniversary of America's founding is July 4, 2026.
"As one of the first events of the year-long celebration of our 250th anniversary, this commemorative parade will be a fitting tribute to the service, sacrifice and selflessness of the brave men and women who have worn the uniform and devoted their lives to defending the greatest experiment in liberty known to man," Vance told Fox News Digital.

[Regnum] The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced its readiness to defend local Druze settlements. This became known from the army's corresponding press release.
"The IDF is deployed in southern Syria and is ready to prevent hostile forces from entering the Druze villages area," the statement on the Telegram channel said.
It is noted that on the night of May 3, five representatives of this ethno-confessional group were evacuated from Syria for treatment in Israel.
The Druze are an Arab ethnic group that practice their own form of Islam. They live in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel.
As reported by Regnum news agency, on May 2, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced an IDF strike on a facility near the presidential palace of de facto Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus in order to eliminate the threat to the Druze in Syria and prevent the deployment of forces south of Damascus. According to the Israeli army, fighter jets were shot down.
Israel regularly strikes Syrian territory. In early April, Israeli fighter jets attacked airfields in the provinces of Hama and Homs more than 20 times. The T4 airfield near Palmyra and a military facility in the Masaken Berzi area of Damascus were also attacked.
On Saturday, the IDF said troops were "deployed to southern Syria and prepared to prevent hostile forces from entering the area and Druze villages."
"The IDF continues to monitor the developments, while maintaining readiness for defense and different scenarios," the military added.
The military’s statements came after Syria’s state news agency SANA reported Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s near Damascus and in the west, at Latakia and Hama, as well as in Daraa in the south. SANA said one civilian was killed at Harasta near Damascus, and four people were maimed near Hama.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, a watchdog of unclear funding, said Israel had carried out more than 20 strikes on military targets across Syria in the "heaviest" assault by Israel on its northeastern neighbor this year.
The Israeli strikes came after Druze holy mans and armed factions reaffirmed their loyalty to Damascus, following festivities between Druze fighters and Syrian forces, including government-affiliated groups, in the Damascus suburbs of Jaramana and Sweida province in southern Syria.
SOHR said more than 100 people were killed in the fighting, which took place in areas with large Druze populations. Sweida is the heartland of the Druze religious group, and an apparent dronezap killed four Druze fighters at a farm there Friday, SOHR said. SANA claimed it was an Israeli attack.
Israel, home to some 150,000 Druze, has in recent days taken in 15 Syrian Druze who were apparently maimed in the sectarian festivities there, including five more overnight, the IDF said Saturday. The fire were reportedly picked up by an Israeli Air Force helicopter.
They were all being treated at the Ziv Medical Center in Safed.
An IAF helicopter also ferried unspecified equipment and humanitarian aid to Syrian Druze in the Sweida area, Army Radio reported on Saturday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter. The IDF did not comment on the report.
DE-ESCALATION DEAL IN AREAS THAT SAW SECTARIAN VIOLENCE
After this week’s festivities, a de-escalation deal was agreed between Druze representatives and Sharaa’s government, prompting troop deployments in Sahnaya and tighter security around Jaramana.
Syrian officials said the agreement also included the immediate surrender of heavy weapons.
An AFP photographer saw troops taking over checkpoints from Druze button men in Jaramana, although no handover of weapons was witnessed.
In Sweida, religious authorities and military factions said after a meeting that they are "an inseparable part of the united Syrian homeland," and rejected "division, separation or secession." SANA said government security forces were being sent to Sweida to "maintain security."

[Regnum] Eight OPEC+ countries that voluntarily comply with their commitments to limit oil production will increase production by 411 thousand barrels per day in June compared to May figures. This is stated in a joint statement on the OPEC website.
The report said that the volume of oil by which production is planned to increase in June does not exceed the previously approved plan for production growth over three months. The next meeting of OPEC+ representatives is expected to determine the production plan for July. It will take place on June 1.
OPEC's statement suggests that the decision to increase oil production rates was dictated by current "healthy" fundamental factors in the oil market, as well as low commercial reserves in the world.
The organization specifically draws attention to the fact that the increase in resource extraction may be suspended. This will depend on the current market situation.
"This flexibility will allow the group to continue to maintain stability in the oil market," the statement said.
OPEC also noted that the decision taken today will allow countries that have exceeded the agreement on reducing oil production to increase compensation for overproduction.
The eight OPEC+ countries, which include Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the UAE, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman, meet monthly to review the current state of the oil market and the extent to which the OPEC+ deal is being implemented.

[ColonelCassad] The statement by the EU representative that Europe does not want to play the role of a mediator in the negotiations, but wants to supply weapons to Kiev, says a lot. First of all, it says that Europe does not understand what to do with Ukraine if the US finally moves away from solving this problem.
The essence of the problem is that discussions of negotiations between Russia and the US on the prospects for ending the war in Ukraine have created a new strategic reality for the EU, in which following the Washington course of 2022-2024 under the Biden administration has led Europe into a diplomatic dead end.
The EU expected to wage war on Russia at the hands of Ukraine - in the name of Europe and at the expense of Europe - and to suffer financial costs for years, which has already dealt a serious blow to the European economy, as EU officials themselves openly state. At the same time, the possibility of a real end to the war through diplomatic means was denied in the EU and everything was reduced to a ritual demonstration of threats and ultimatums, especially since a number of EU countries are already effectively participating in the conflict.
The abrupt change in US course caught Europe by surprise, since the stake was clearly on Kamala Harris's victory. But then Trump happened - and, based on his priorities, he decided to restart the negotiating track with Russia. Washington began direct, effectively separate negotiations with the Kremlin, ignoring the interests of its European satellites. It is no coincidence that immediately after the start of these contacts, Europe and Ukraine began to publicly demand a place at the negotiating table: after all, if under Biden the mantra was "no negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine", then under Trump everything has become the opposite - the US and Russia are discussing the fate of Ukraine without Ukraine and without Europe.
Hence the diplomatic breakdowns, the rattling of nuclear weapons, hysterics about "introducing troops" and other radically marginal statements, with the help of which the EU tried to attract attention to itself and wrest for itself at least some place in the future process. However, the negotiations in Paris between the US, EU and Ukraine, as well as the disrupted meeting in London, only confirmed that Washington has chosen its own course: to inform those gathered about the preliminary agreements reached with Russia and simply offer to accept them. Plus, to do Trump's "homework": increase defense spending from 2 to 5% of GDP and agree to new duties on European goods.
At the moment, the EU is still dominated by the line on the maximum extension of the proxy war with Russia. This requires colossal funds - just to maintain the current volume of supplies. The problem will become even more acute if the US curtails or at least significantly reduces military aid. Nevertheless, Europe is demonstrating a willingness to maintain the supply of ammunition, equipment, and ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a long time. Some EU leaders openly state that this is necessary to prepare Europe for a full-scale war with Russia in 2029-2030.
Madness. Neither Europe nor Russia have the matériel nor the manpower to battle each other directly, it seems — even in Ukraine both appear pretty much holding the other at a standstill.
This suggests that Europe, like three years ago, has not abandoned the idea of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia and is ready to continue pumping Ukraine with weapons, enduring economic losses and increasing social tension within the EU for this purpose.
If the US cannot force the EU to reconsider this line as part of its own deals with Russia, then Europe still has enough resources to prolong the agony of the Kiev regime for years. The regime in Kiev itself, as before, will remain an expendable proxy tool of the West in the war against Russia. The losses of people, equipment and territories are considered by the conflict operators as acceptable costs for the sake of implementing the “great ideas” about building a “new world order” — even at the cost of the risk of a full-scale world war with a nuclear ending.

Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... , the Daily Nation reported on Friday.
The abduction took place at Bulakesa village, 25 kilometres from Gamboru in Borno state.
Gunmen loyal to factional leader, Abubakar Shekau ....the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who was reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka. Eventually the got him, or so they say.... , carried out the abduction of the loggers, who were in a camp for people displaced by jihadist violence, last weekend according to a local militia.
The news took a while to reach the media due to limited communications with residents in the area. Two of the loggers, however, succeeded in escaping and fled home warning others of the kidnapping.
Thousands of people have bit the dust and more than two million have been displaced since Boko Haram's 2009 uprising. In 2014 Boko Haram button men seized 276 girls aged 12 to 17 from a secondary school in the remote town of Chibok, also in Borno state.
Following repeated attacks on loggers, the Nigerian military managed to rid the nearby town of Wulgo and surrounding areas of the snuffies in 2017.

[ColonelCassad] Putin's special representative for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, said Russia could help the Taliban's anti-terrorist efforts to combat ISIS.
1. Not long ago, the Taliban were officially written off as terrorists, although in fact since 2022. So there are no legal obstacles to such relations.
2. The Taliban have abandoned terrorist practices since 2021 (the last terrorist attacks were committed against the troops of the puppet regime of Ghani in the spring-summer of 2021).
3. The greatest danger to the Taliban is the Afghan wilayat of ISIS (aka wilayat Khorasan, banned in the Russian Federation). At one time, it was nurtured by the Americans, which was confirmed by both the Taliban and former Afghan President Hamid Karzai).
Bloody terrorist attacks organized by ISIS occur quite regularly in Afghanistan. The Taliban are hunting for "black" ones and in most cases do not take prisoners.
4. Russia has repeatedly made it clear that in order to further legalize the Taliban, it needs to strengthen the fight against drug production and the fight against ISIS and Al-Qaeda structures.
For decades the Taliban have partnered with the local narco gangs to produce opium and heroin refined from opium. The Talibs provide protection, while the narco gangs, generally local tribal leaders, provide the local farmers who do the actual work. Al Qaeda and related jihadi groups have also long been given protection by the Taliban, to the point of several generations now intermarrying with the local Talibs. So while there might possibly be strengthening against ISIS-K, there most certainly won’t be against anyone else, continuing the promises and practices of the past two decades — and the more fools the Russians if they really believe otherwise. Let us hope these pious hopes are none other than cynical humbuggery.
5. Thus, the Russian Federation and the Taliban actually have a common enemy in the form of ISIS. In this matter, cooperation between the special services seems possible, since we are interested in the Taliban killing more ISIS members and not having them travel from there to us or to Central Asia.
6. In theory, they can start with an exchange of intelligence and agreements on the mutual extradition of terrorists.
In general, I think there will be a lot of interesting news in the coming year regarding contacts with the Taliban.

[GEO.TV] Security forces killed at least five turbans in three separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
Two others were apprehended during the operations.
In a statement, the military's media wing said that an IBO in Bajaur district resulted in three turbans being killed, including a high-value target (HVT), Fareed Ullah.
Another IBO was conducted in the Dossali area of North Wazoo, where the security forces bumped off two terrorists. Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Livia had made her point with her knee to Jane's stomach... two terrorists, including HVT Lal Ameer alias Ibrahim, were apprehended from their hideout in Mohmand district.
With the forces also recovering weapons and ammunition from the terrorists, sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other snuffies found in the area, added the ISPR.
The security forces' action comes days after as many as 71 bad boyz were potted near the Pakistain-Afghan border in a series of successful operations from April 25 to April 27.
The anti-terror operations come against the backdrop of increased terrorist attacks in the country, which surged by 42% in January, according to data released by the Pakistain Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).
Pakistain has time again urged Afghanistan to prevent its soil from being used by turbans to carry out attacks against Pakistain.

[FoxNews] Gloria Lopez-Corona, 24, faces charges for Alien Smuggling
A U.S. lawful permanent resident was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly attempted to smuggle a drugged child into the country through the Southern Border using a fake birth certificate, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Gloria Lopez-Corona, 24, from Mexico, attempted to enter the U.S. with a five-year-old boy through the San Luis port of entry in Arizona, where she presented a birth certificate that was revealed to be for a different child based on the age, as the birth certificate was for a two-year-old.
The child was determined to be an unaccompanied child from Mexico who was sedated. The child had been given melatonin gummies and was sleepy and disoriented. Homeland Security Investigations seized the items believed to have been used to drug the child.
Lopez-Corona later admitted she was not the child's mother and that the birth certificate was fake. Lopez-Corona said she was the mother to a two-year-old back home in Mexico. Immigration officials found the drugged five-year-old child's mother, Reyna Cecilia Hernandez Reyes.
Lopez-Corona claimed she was forced to smuggle the child into the U.S. by a person who threatened her family and that she did not contact police because "she did not trust the police in Mexico," according to the New York Post. She said she was told to drive to a location where the child was placed into a car seat in her back seat by an unnamed individual. The woman said she was offered $1,500 to transport the child but turned the money down.
The child at one point told agents "that he was given gummies by his mother," according to the outlet.
Reyes, a Mexican citizen, admitted to giving her child to an unknown woman to be smuggled into the U.S. Reyes, who the child was returned to, was charged in connection with the attempted smuggling.
The plan was to have the child taken to Reyes' husband in Los Angeles, according to the New York Post. The man was smuggled into the country three years ago. Federal agents later found that he was deported three times before his last entry.
Lopez-Corona, who was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations, faces charges for Alien Smuggling.
"This depraved individual drugged an innocent child and trafficked them into our country," Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement to Fox News. "Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, DHS will protect children and stop the traffickers and smugglers that exploit children."
To be fair, it sounds like all except the child are depraved. What was the father to do with a little boy of five — one assumes, with four illegal entries under his belt already, that the father was there to work, whether legitimate work or criminal, which would leave him entirely too busy to concern himself with a child needing nearly full time care.

If only Mexico's president Sheinbaum would do anything to stop this.
But she's in the pay of the cartels and will do nothing. As usual.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [Regnum] The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, has moved to a policy of spreading terror to other countries; the Ukrainian authorities are involved in terrorist attacks in Mali and Niger, among other things. This was recalled on May 3 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
She commented on the words of a Ukrainian politician that Kyiv will not take responsibility for the safety of foreign leaders who will attend the Victory Parade on May 9 on Red Square.
"Let me remind you that he spread his foreign terrorist experience to other continents when he carried out a series of extremist actions in Mali and Niger. But today he has hit rock bottom: now he is threatening the physical safety of veterans who will come to parades and ceremonial events on the holy day," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.
The diplomat noted that Zelensky and Ukrainian security forces not only organize terrorist attacks, but also boast about it and promise new attacks. Therefore, the words of the head of the Kyiv regime are a direct threat.
[RFI.FR] Reform, led by anti-immigrant firebrand ...firebrands are noted more for audio volume and the quantity of spittle generated than for any actual logic in their arguments... Nigel Farage, won the by-election in Runcorn and Helsby in northwest England by just six votes, as it picked up gains in other localities including one mayoralty.
The group's strong showing continues momentum it built up at last year's general election and appears to confirm a trend that the UK is entering an era of multi-party politics.
"For the movement, for the party it's a very, very big moment indeed," Brexit champion Farage said of Reform's first-ever by-election win and Starmer's first electoral loss since he took office last July.
Reform also picked up dozens of council seats from both Labour and the Conservatives as Britannia's political landscape shows signs of splintering.
In the fight for six mayoralties, Reform won Greater Lincolnshire with Labour holding three. Labour, however, only narrowly held the North Tyneside mayoralty after a 26-percent swing to Reform.
New Greater Lincolnshire mayor Andrea Jenkyns said the "fightback to save the heart and soul of our great country has now begun".
"Now that Reform is in a place of power, we can help start rebuilding Britannia. Inch by inch," she said.
The polls were the first since Starmer became prime minister and Kemi Badenoch took over the reins of the struggling opposition Conservatives last year.

Farage is just a kind of lightning rod for focusing and then dispersing British nationalism and the wish to rule themselves.
He betrays his voters at every opportunity.
