SECRET sites storing 150 US nukes have been accidentally revealed in a Nato report, it has been reported.
The United States and its allies in the Nato military alliance never disclose the locations of the nuclear arsenal but it appears the six sites have inadvertently disclosed.
A draft version of the document entitled "A new era for nuclear deterrence? Modernisation, arms control and allied nuclear forces" was published earlier this year.
But Belgian newspaper De Morgen spotted that it contained details about the nuke sites.
A section on the nuclear arsenal read: "These bombs are stored at six US and European bases ‐ Kleine Brogel in Belgium, Buchel in Germany, Aviano and Ghedi-Torre in Italy, Volkel in The Netherlands, and Incirlik in Turkey."
The study was written by a Canadian senator Joseph Day for the Defense and Security Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Good job, Joseph. Keep up the good work.
The final version of the report has now been published online with specific reference to where bombs are stored deleted.
Instead it refers vaguely to aircraft that could carry nuclear weapons.Senator Day told the Washington Post the original document was only a draft and "all information used in this report is open source material".
A Nato spokesman said: "We do not comment on the details of NATO’s nuclear posture. This is not an official NATO document."
It has been reported that the US has deployed the B61 bomb in Europe.
The presence of US nuclear weapons in Europe is a relic of the Cold War and they were originally stationed to deter Soviet aggression.
At the height of tensions, the US is believed to have deployed 110 nuclear weapons at RAF Lakenheath, which were removed in 2008.
America has indicated it may spend more than £703 billion by the 2040s upgrading its nuclear capabilities.
The United States and Russia are due to meet today to discuss the possibility of a three-way nuclear arms treaty, including China for the first time.
The talks are being held two weeks before the formal end to the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty between Russia and the US.
The 1987 agreement was signed in 1987 in Washington D.C. by President Ronald Regan and Soviet Union General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev and greatly reduced nuclear weapons in Europe.
By May 1991, 2,692 missiles had been eliminated and 10 years of on-site verification inspections followed.
Donald Trump signalled the America would withdraw from the treaty because Russia had been "violating it for many years".
Earlier this year a UN arms chief said the threat of nuclear war is at its highest since World War II.

The story is that star athletes are not allowed to be evangelicals who openly and fervently support Israel.
Here's the article in the left-lib "Daily Beast" that prompted the tweet above:

The greater story is that according to our media, we are only allowed to praise celebrities that agree with their politics. All others are to be cancelled.

[Ynet] IDF troops arrested overnight Friday a Paleostinian man who crossed into Israel territory from the southern Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The suspect had knives in his possession and was taken for further questioning.
Go for it, guys, while we look forward to discovering how you miss the opportunity this time.
[Ynet] Aiming to end the reliance on Israel and counter the U.S. plan for the region, the Paleostinian prime minister is looking for trading partners and investment in Amman and Baghdad; 'The move is part of the Paleostinian development strategy for 2017-2020,' says PA official Abd al-Rahman.
Paleostinian leaders are spearheading a new effort to reduce their economic dependence on Israel by approaching Arab states for economic cooperation and agreements in a move meant to help counter the Trump Administration’s so-called deal of the century peace project.
Over the past two weeks, a delegation headed by Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh visited Iraq and Jordan, where senior Paleostinian officials discussed proposals for new economic understandings and emphasized the importance of "maintaining the priority of the Paleostinian cause among Arab states in order to unite efforts to end the Israeli occupation."
Azmy Abd al-Rahman, spokesperson for the Paleostinian Authority’s Economy Ministry, told The Media Line that reducing dependence on Israel was the top priority of the ministry and the government.
"The move is part of the Paleostinian development strategy for 2017-2020," Abd al-Rahman said. "We are currently studying which Israeli products the Paleostinian market can dispense with."
He said that currently, 85 percent of Paleostinian exports go to Israel, while 60% of Paleostinian imports come from Israel.
"We follow a plan of gradual withdrawal (from trading with Israel) by steps," he said.

At the rate things are going, the F-35 isn't going to need any help downgrading itself from hangar queen to museum piece. Can't fight. Can't fly fast. Uptime rates aren't what they were advertised to be, which to me means it takes a lot more money to maintain these than they let on. Next time, take a bite you can chew.
[NationalInterest] New much-longer range sensors and weapons, incorporating emerging iterations of AI, are expected to make warfare more disaggregated, and much less of a linear force on force type of engagement. Such a phenomenon, driven by new technology, underscores warfare reliance upon sensors and information networks. All of this, naturally, requires the expansive "embedded ISR" discussed by the paper. Network reliant warfare is of course potentially much more effective in improving targeting and reducing sensor-to-shooter time over long distances, yet it brings a significant need to organize and optimize the vast, yet crucial, flow of information.
The Navy is currently analyzing air frames, targeting systems, AI-enabled sensors, new weapons and engine technologies to engineer a new 6th-Generation fighter to fly alongside the F-35 and ultimately replace the F/A-18.
#1
Anyone analyzing the cost? Soon we will be able to afford one aircraft which the navy and air force will share on alternating days, and the marine corps on leap day.
#2
Yes. And because the beloved Augustine Commission scotched the Aeres Project, we got SLS instead. Be careful what you wish for...

I doubt the Navy can afford its own 6th Gen (whatever it may turn out to be). They have too many other irons in the fire (ships, subs, boomers, amphibs, specwar) and a F-22 or F-35 level of cost will starve the Navy's other R&D projects. Expect a merge or spinoff of the Air Force's next gen project
#4
Fighter planes with pilots are done. The Navy will be all drone before the Marines or Air Force. But they will be all drone except bombers and specialty (refueling, ISR) craft very soon.

...The problem with this article is that no one - NO ONE - is going to, in any reasonable time frame, authorize the funding to get a WORKING iteration of a 6th Generation fighter underway for ANYBODY, much less the USN right now. Their procurement system is broken quite possibly beyond repair, and they can't keep what they have running much less buy new stuff (USN announced on Friday that East Coast flying units are going to get their hours drastically cut until October).
The F-35 is getting better, though at a glacial pace and at a hideously expensive price. The Israelis have theirs working exactly as advertised, but they also have priorities and resources we don't and/or won't use. By 2024 the -35 will be doing just fine, as long as the bad guys are considerate enough to wait until then.
One bit of good news that gets overlooked in articles like this is that the USN and USAF, for once, stand shoulder to shoulder on something: there will NEVER be another 'joint' project like the -35. Whatever comes next will be two completely different airframes. The difficulty will be that they will have to be strikefighters - no dedicated air superiority or strike designs.

Just because these are two completely different use cases - flying off a ship vs flying from a traditional airbase? Preposterous! The bean counters will hate it.
Not This Week In Books:
While neither of them involve airplanes, two takes on this age-old conflict between engineering and management are "Car Guys vs Bean Counters" and "The Pentagon Wars".
The book "Car Guys vs Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business" by Bob Lutz is the story of an long-time auto executive's fight against management-by-the-numbers, and the struggle to make great cars. Having grown up in Detroit in the era of Japanese imports and Federal mileage standards, it was interesting to see an insider's view of the auto biz. Anyone who does projects in a large hierarchical organization will recognize the players and the problems. An entertaining read. P.S. He hates the press.
"The Pentagon Wars" is a 1998 movie comedy about the process of how the Bradley came to be the Bradley - "a troop transport that can't carry troops, a reconnaissance vehicle that's too conspicuous to do reconnaissance, and a quasi-tank that has less armor than a snowblower, but has enough ammo to take out half of D.C." Think of it as the F-35 with tracks. I laughed.
#8
I'm beginning to think that the F-35's greatest value will be in "lessons learned" in project management; the desirability of "one frame for all the services" and overcoming the challenges of coding for a project of this type.
A pretty expensive lesson.
As for the plane itself...
I can't help thinking of the circumstances in WWII in which the Germans and Japanese got so wrapped up in the "craftsmanship" of high quality planes (and tanks), that they never had enough of them from about 1942 on.
Meanwhile the US and the Soviets generally focused on cranking out as many units as possible even at the expense of said craftsmanship.
Yep. Over $33,000 for each man, woman and child living in the US, including the illegals.
"Car Guys vs Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business"
Why I probably won't buy American ever again. The bean counters left me stranded on the side of the road or otherwise severely inconvenienced me several times by their decisions. Once because they didn't want to pay the extra 50 cents to pay for good servos in the transmission. Another because they didn't want redundancy in shift lever, and another because they decided to put the knock sensor in the valley instead of outside the block where you can get to it. Who wants to pay $2,000 to save them a dollar? They can keep it. Now Toyota is starting to have those kinds of problems. I hope they don't succumb to them.
[Jpost] British Airways and Lufthansa abruptly suspended flights to Cairo from Saturday over security concerns, but giving no details about what may have prompted the move.
"We constantly review our security arrangements at all our airports around the world, and have suspended flights to Cairo for seven days as a precaution to allow for further assessment," British Airways said in a statement.
Lufthansa later said it had canceled its flights to Cairo on Saturday from Munich and Frankfurt and will resume its flights on Sunday
British Airways, a unit of IAG, also said that it would never operate an aircraft unless it was safe to do so. When asked for more details about why flights had been suspended and what security arrangements the airline was reviewing, a spokeswoman responded: "We never discuss matters of security."
Three Egyptian airport security sources told Rooters that British staff had been checking security at Cairo airport on Wednesday and Thursday. They gave no further details. "We can say no more!" The British Foreign Office updated its travel advisory on Saturday to add a reference to the British Airways' suspension, advising travelers affected to contact the airline.
Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a statement late on Saturday that it had contacted the British Embassy in Cairo which had confirmed that the decision to suspend the flights was not issued by Britannia's transport or foreign ministries.
The Egyptian ministry added that it will add more flights from Cairo to London starting on Sunday "to facilitate transporting passengers during this period."
The British government has long advised against all but essential travel by air to and from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where a Russian passenger jet was bombed in 2015, but has not issued similar warnings against air travel to and from Cairo.
"There's a heightened risk of terrorism against aviation. Additional security measures are in place for flights departing from Egypt to the UK," the British advisory says.
Tourism, a key source of foreign revenue for Egypt, has been recovering after tourist numbers dropped in the wake of a 2011 uprising and the 2015 bombing of the Russian jet, which killed all 224 people on board shortly after takeoff.
That attack, which was claimed by Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... , prompted Russia to halt all flights to Egypt for several years and a number of countries including Britannia to cease flights to Sharm el Sheikh, which have yet to resume.
HONG KONG (AP) ‐ Police in Hong Kong discovered a stash of a powerful homemade explosive as the semi-autonomous Chinese city readied for another major pro-democracy protest on Sunday following a pro-Beijing rally that attracted thousands.
Police said they found about 2 kilograms (4.4 pounds) of TATP and arrested a man in a raid on a commercial building late Friday night. TATP, or tri-acetone tri-peroxide, has been used in terrorist attacks worldwide.
Materials voicing opposition to an extradition bill that has sparked more than a month of demonstrations in Hong Kong were found at the site, local media said, but a police spokesman said no concrete link has been established and that the investigation is continuing. "we'll find more, I'm sure. Liu - bring in those other boxes. See?"
In a rally that aimed to counter the pro-democracy movement, thousands of people filled a park in central Hong Kong on Saturday to support the police, who have been accused of using rough tactics on protesters. Some waved Chinese flags, and a giant screen behind the stage for speakers read "Safeguard Hong Kong."
Many wore white, heeding a call by organizers, and the demonstrators did not wear masks or helmets, public broadcaster RTHK said. The anti-extradition law activists wear black and don protective gear against police pepper spray and batons.
Organizers said 316,000 people took part in the demonstration, while police put the turnout at 103,000.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Reuters) - In the depths of the financial crisis, when the world was shunning debt and battening down for the worst, city officials here zagged in what seemed a preposterous direction and spent $600 million on a new convention center.
A decade later thousands of new hotel rooms soar over the site, including a 33-story Marriott that is just a tiny part of the investment and jobs boom that has made Nashville an envy of other cities trying to find their footing, an image cemented when Amazon announced it would put a 5,000-job logistics center here.
"Look at the skyline, see the activity - whether it is a Monday night or a Saturday night - the city is thriving," said Tom Turner, president and head cheerleader of the Nashville Downtown Partnership.
It is in many ways a positive story of how new winners can emerge even after a devastating recession. But it also represents a major fault line in the recovery that followed: Winning places like Nashville have won big, often for reasons that can’t obviously or quickly be replicated, while much of the rest of the country has struggled to stay even or slipped behind.
It is a schism that helped elevate Donald Trump to the presidency with his massive support in less populated and slower-growing areas. The divide is also preoccupying U.S. central bankers and economists worried about what happens if large portions of the country never bounce back.
"The superstar cities have pulled so far away," said MIT economist Simon Johnson. He recently called for a $100 billion annual federal investment in basic research centered in cities like Rochester, New York, that have the base of universities and college graduates to compete as innovation hubs.
"There is no entity other than the federal government that has the capacity to move the needle on this."

If major cities, Detroit, Chicago, Philly, LA, San Fran, St Louis were to clean up their crime and vagrant issues then maybe businesses would consider holding events and investing there. But as is stands just who would hold a convention in that city? Who would build a factory there? Who would even build a new grocery store there? No one in their right mind would. When the city decides to cut the welfare out, people will go back to work, and things will change. See ya in 20 years.

Maybe if these "weaker" (read, corrupt, incompetent) cities want to get some businesses to move in, maybe they should focus less on government and graft and more on running efficiently and lowering the crime rates and cost of doing business in their borders. Making fewer completely asinine and moronic public statements probably wouldn't hurt either.
#8
I'm sure it helps if people don't have to step over bums sleeping on the sidewalks between that nice new Marriott and the new convention center like they would in LA or San Francisco.

[MAIL] Border agents used tear gas and pepper spray to prevent almost 50 migrants from entering the U.S. after they tried to storm their way through an entry point along the border in Texas.
The incident occurred at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge at around 4am on Saturday, Fox News reported.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection had to build temporary barriers along the bridge due to a large influx of migrants using it at night, when it is closed from midnight to 6 am.
A CBP official told Fox News that the group of men attempted to pass through the bridge in three stages.
The official said: 'Ignoring commands to stop, the group suddenly rushed the temporary barricades, bent metal poles and disabled the concertina wire affixed to the barrier.
'Several males in the group disregarded commands to stop and physically pushed through the barriers.
[Babylon Bee] U.S.‐As society becomes increasingly dominated by nerds, hipsters, and computer programmers, people have fixated on what they think is our biggest problem: masculinity.
"It’s just toxic and causes nothing but problems," said Elisha Mcewen, a vegan activist and no threat whatsoever to spiders or tight jar lids. "I was sharing my feelings on masculinity with other men in my drum circle, and we all agreed that if we ever encountered masculinity, we would run far away."
Masculinity is said to have in the past been the cause of such things as violence, war, bullying, defeating the Nazis, carving society out of untamed wilderness, and landing men on the moon, but now masculinity is being driven out of society to make sure nothing like those things ever happens again. However, there are reports that masculinity still lurks out there, which is a source of anxiety to modern men and causes them to have upset tummies.
"I am just so worried that somewhere out there someone is still knowingly producing testosterone," said Wyatt Lockhart, a Twitch streamer who had never thrown a punch outside of a video game. "I constantly have to find a safe place to calm down just thinking about it."
Duke Miller, a Marine sergeant and one of the few remaining examples of traditional masculinity, was asked about his feelings on the negative view of masculinity, but he seemed confused by the word "feelings" and then punched out an elk just because.

[IsraelTimes] Izmir Koch, originally from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... , sought out Jewish victim outside Cincinnati restaurant; FBI says it wanted a harsh sentence for the hate crime.
An Ohio man was sentenced to 30 months in prison for attacking someone he believed to be Jewish.

of the Dayton suburb of Huber Heights, was sentenced last week for attacking Paul Marshall outside a Cincinnati-area restaurant in 2017. He was convicted of committing a hate crime and lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Koch, 34, was standing outside a restaurant asking people if they were Jewish. Though Marshall is not Jewish he answered in the affirmative when asked. Koch then beat him up, causing injuries to his ribs and a fracture of the orbital floor, the bottom portion of his eye socket.
Oddly enough, the several friends and/or relations of Mr. Koch who joined in the festivities at the time are unmentioned.
The assailant, who is originally from Turkey,

was indicted and convicted last year.

After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ... Jewish News reported.
They sought ten years, but got only 30 months. Perhaps this time they’ll strip him of his citizenship and send him back where he came from...
"We just think the impact of someone being assaulted because of their religious preferences or their background is so impactful in the community that we want to take these cases on to make sure the penalties... really fit the impact of this," Wickerham said.

[Guardian] John Bolton, White House national security adviser and notorious Iraq-era hawk, is a man on a mission. Given broad latitude over policy by Donald Trump, he is widely held to be driving the US confrontation with Iran. And in his passionate bid to tame Tehran, Bolton cares little who gets hurt ‐ even if collateral damage includes a close ally such as Britain. Al-Grauniad weeps for Iran
So when Bolton heard British Royal Marines had seized an Iranian oil tanker off Gibraltar on America’s Independence Day, his joy was unconfined. "Excellent news: UK has detained the supertanker Grace I laden with Iranian oil bound for Syria in violation of EU sanctions," he exulted on Twitter.
Bolton’s delighted reaction suggested the seizure was a surprise. But accumulating evidence suggests the opposite is true, and that Bolton’s national security team was directly involved in manufacturing the Gibraltar incident. The suspicion is that Conservative politicians, distracted by picking a new prime minister, jockeying for power, and preoccupied with Brexit, stumbled into an American trap.
In short, it seems, Britain was set up. Perfidious Albion was "set up." Yes, somehow we knew it was a Trump-Bolton conspiracy.
The consequences of the Gibraltar affair are only now becoming clear. The seizure of Grace I led directly to Friday’s capture by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards of a British tanker, the Stena Impero, in the Strait of Hormuz. Although it has not made an explicit link, Iran had previously vowed to retaliate for Britain’s Gibraltar "piracy". Now it has its revenge.
As a result, Britain has been plunged into the middle of an international crisis it is ill-prepared to deal with. The timing could hardly be worse. An untested prime minister, presumably Boris Johnson, will enter Downing Street this week. Britain is on the brink of a disorderly exit from the EU, alienating its closest European partners. And its relationship with Trump’s America is uniquely strained.
[Washington Examiner] U.S. military officials see a high risk of "unintended conflict" with Iran due to rising tensions in the Persian Gulf, according to top Pentagon official.
"The potential for miscalculation is high," John Rood, the undersecretary of defense for policy, said at the Aspen Security Forum. "This kind of friction in a small waterway starts to increase the possibility of unintended conflict."
Iran seized a British-flagged oil tanker on Friday, the latest threat to international shipping in the vital Strait of Hormuz in a standoff that has intensified since early May, when President Trump tightened sanctions on the regime’s oil industry and nuclear program.
"I do worry ‐ either through intention and misunderstanding our resolve, or, through an accident ‐ that we could see the Iranians take some step that would be very concerning," Rood added during a Saturday afternoon question-and-answer session. "That would be a grave mistake on their part that would be ‐ it’s something that we are studiously trying to avoid."
Iranian forces surrounded a British tanker and boarded it from a helicopter one day after U.S. forces downed an Iranian drone that approached to "within a threatening range" of a Navy shipper. The boarding of the British tanker was an apparent reaction to last month’s detention of an Iranian tanker that was reportedly delivering oil to Syria in violation of European Union sanctions.
"It raises very serious questions about the security of British shipping, and indeed international shipping, in the Strait of Hormuz," British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said Saturday.
Iran has targeted several oil tankers in the Persian Gulf since May, as Tehran and Washington jockey for leverage in advance of a prospective negotiation over Iran’s nuclear program in the wake of Trump’s exit from the 2015 nuclear deal.

I really don't understand why the Pentagon seems too act like they are really worried about Iran. Russia has already told them they are on their own if they start shit, we don't need troops on the ground. Iran is nothing but a bully and just needs too be hit in the mouth a couple good times.

Taking out their nuclear research and production capability should be included in the early (Day 1-3) sorties. Elimination of their naval and air capabilities followed by command & control centers, soon to follow. By day 4 or 5 they should be anxious to discuss terms. Mix it up a bit to make it interesting, C2 one day, research the next.
[Townhall] Thomas Jefferson's birthday in mid-April is currently recognized as a city holiday in Charlottesville, VA. But if it was up to Mayor Nikuyah Walker, she'd change it to "Liberation and Freedom Day." The alternative holiday, which she proposed at a city council meeting last month, would instead celebrate the emancipation of slaves in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Walker is one of several people advocating for the change because it's well known that Jefferson, the third president of the United States and drafter of the Declaration of Independence, was also a slave owner.
Some citizens are up in arms over her suggestion, accusing her of trying to sanitize history. But she has no clue why because, as she explained in a recent message, Jefferson is still celebrating his birthday "in hell." She shared that comment on her official Facebook page.
Walker got virtual high fives from some of her followers, but it looks like quite a few of her constituents were appalled by the message. Some users called her "judgmental and disturbing," while another told Walker, "your hate is unflattering and unbecoming."
"If you think Jefferson and Charlottesville are so damnable, how come you still live there and are mayor?," another commenter, Joleen Hart, wrote. "Thank God for Thomas Jefferson. He helped make our country free."
Walker isn't the only one seeking to erase Jefferson. For instance, the Democratic Party of Virginia wants to rename the annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Richmond, recognizing Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, to the "Blue Commonwealth Gala."

The top goal in advertising (and what's a "campaign manager" but an advertising hack?) is to sell deep fried sh*t on a stick. That's what Tlaib, Omar, AOC this creature and many more are. If voters woke up and paid any attention at all people like this would never get elected.

There are powerful Marxist forces from within and without teamed up to take us down under the age-old guise of making our lives better. They will say, promise, and do anything to win. After almost one-hundred years, they have too much invested to do otherwise.
For those that see the final confrontation coming, no persuasion is necessary. For those who either don’t see it, aren’t looking, don’t understand, or choose to live in ignorance, no amount of persuasion will suffice. But, I will try anyway.
Communists have chosen to employ to achieve their goals...illegal immigration, Destruction of our culture, institutions, and morality, Resurrecting long past racism
Now, for the last several years we finally clearly see the goals and methods these Communists have chosen to employ to achieve those goals...illegal immigration, the destruction of our culture, institutions, and morality, resurrecting long past racism, a fiscally over-burdened government, and a collection of citizenry addicted to freebies. Anyone who has read the 45 Goals of the Communist Takeover of America as presented to Congress in 1963 will see that they are following the plan closely and largely succeeding.
With these Socialists/Communists finding a home in the Democrat Party and their faithful voters dwindling, importing millions of new Democrat voters becomes paramount. These immigrants, unaccustomed to our meritocracy culture and values, are being promised everything former Democrats were pledged. When the Right objects, they accuse them of the mortal sin of racism.
Democrats have, in the not too distant past, railed against illegal immigration. These same politicians have now turned 180 degrees, aided by lock step voters, and youth freshly indoctrinated by academic institutions in brown-shirt activism. None choose to see the coming consequences of their actions. All they see is a weapon, a mechanism by which to achieve power and hold on to it indefinitely.
In many ways, we are in a time more dangerous than both world wars. Yes, I said that. If we had lost WW2, we would have gone home, licked our wounds and prepared for defense. Both Germany and Japan had no means or material to conduct an invasion of our country, especially with millions of Americans armed to the teeth.
[khaamaPress] The casualties’ toll from yesterday’s explosion in Kabul city has climbed to 41 as security officials blame Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... for the deadly incident.
Nasrat Rahimi, a front man for the Ministry of Interior said preliminary reports indicate the Taliban group was behind the earth-shattering kaboom.
Rahimi further added that Taliban group usually denies involvement in bombings which claim civilian lives.
Meanwhile, ...back at the desert island, Irene was indignant at the thought of doing such a thing without benefit of clergy... officials in the Ministry of Public Health say the earth-shattering kaboom killed 8 civilians and maimed 33 others.
The explosion took place close to Kabul University earlier on Friday.
The eyewitnesses in the area had earlier said the earth-shattering kaboom also destroyed two vehicles besides killing or wounding civilians.

I looked into this Muslim Caucus a bit.
It seems new and not a front for CAIR
They seem very secular. No imam on the board or as advisers. No obvious connection to either CAIR or any other existing orgs. Ilhan and Rashida are not on the board or advisers either although Keith Ellison is an honorary.

Notice how quickly the UK's Euro trade partners and friends are categorically denouncing the Iranian action and offering maritime military assistance.
In which the Taliban — probably — and their little opium-growing friends get technical.
[ToloNews] The drugs were placed inside jute bags meant for carrying household spices from Afghanistan to India.
Police in New Delhi arrested five suspects, including two Afghan nationals, on charges of smuggling 150 kilograms of drugs, Indian news agencies reported on Friday.
The drugs worth 600 crores (more than $87 million), according to India’s News18.
The accused were trying to set up a full-fledged reconstitution factory in Delhi, Manishi Chandra, DCP Special Cell, said, as quoted by News18.
The modus operandi, according to police, involved soaking of jute bags, meant for carrying cumin and other household spices from Afghanistan to India, in a heroin-laden solution.
"Every empty jute bag actually concealed a dried solution of heroin in its fibers. Once the spices were removed, each jute bag would yield one kilogram of heroin," Chandra said.
And now we know how, too.
The expose has revealed the sinister side of the spice and condiment trade between India and Afghanistan as the drugs were being smuggled in the garb of trade, the report said.
"The Afghanistan-Pakistain narco mobs have recently adopted this novel method whereby the crude heroin is dissolved in a preservative solution and ordinary jute bags meant for carrying spices and condiments are soaked and dried in this heroin solution," Chandra said as quoted by News18.
News18 reports that the two arrested Afghan nationals were identified as Rahmat Gul Shinwari and Akhtar Mohammad Shinwari, from Zakir Nagar area. The two are chemical and mechanical experts.
The News18 says in its report that the operation is underway and more arrests are expected.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian and Russian forces launched their largest attack of the year over the key town of Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib.
According to a military source in the nearby Hama Governorate, the Russian and Syrian forces launched more than 30 air and missile strikes on Khan Sheikhoun, hitting several sites belonging to the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... .
The source said the Syrian and Russian forces launched this massive assault on Khan Sheikhoun in response to the heavy attack conducted by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and Jaish al-Izza on the government stronghold of Mhardeh the day prior.
Khan Sheikhoun was previously captured by Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. [ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah is allegedly preparing for war with Israel after taking part in the Syrian conflict for more than six years, the U.S. publication, The Daily Beast, reported on Friday.
According to the publication, Hezbollah has strengthened their forces along Israel’s border with both Leb and Syria in preparation for an imminent war with the Jewish state.
"The sanctions now have us preparing for dealing with the Israeli front," an alleged Hezbollah Commander named Samir told the Daily Beast.
"Our wish before the war in Syria was to go and open a front in the Golan but [the Syrian Government] set a red line," he added.
Hezbollah played an integral part in the Syrian conflict as their forces helped the Syrian government retake several important border towns, including al-Qusayr, Yabroud, al-Zabadani, and Tal Kalakh.
In 2006, Hezbollah fought a month-long war against the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) along the southern border of Leb.
Since then, both Hezbollah and Israel have traded attacks, with the latter launching most of their strikes against the Lebanese group inside Syria.
In a recent speech, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb... announced that the Lebanese group had withdrawn some of its forces from Syria as the war itself has begun winding down.
This mentioned withdrawal by Sayyed Nasrallah is a rarity as Hezbollah does not often discuss their movements in public.
Furthermore, Hezbollah’s media relations deny providing troop movements or military activity to any press agency.
Sayyed Nasrallah has also echoed these denials in his speeches, often pointing out that unless Hezbollah mentions their movements, they do not provide third parties with this information.
If they actually act on it, it should be a short, hard war with lots of pretty secondary explosions. Recall that Israel years ago mapped out the locations where Hezb’allah’s missiles and munitions are stored, they’ve been building a wall along the border, and they recently filled Hezb’allah’s cross-border tunnels with quick setting cement all the way back to where they surfaced in the villages.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Leb-based newspaper, al-Akhbar, quoted an Iraqi official this week as saying that the reopening of the border crossing connecting Iraq’s Sinjar to Syrian territories was delayed by the Iraqi government.
The Iraqi official noted that the border crossing was supposed to be used for facilitating passage of refugees from the Kurdish-controlled refugee camps in Syria to the Iraqi territories, and said that the delay in reopening the crossing by the Iraqi government took place after the Kurds refrained from hoisting the Syrian government’s flag.
At the same time Iran’s Fars News Agency cited sources as saying some parties are trying to help open the crossing under the auspices of the United Nations ...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society... and the anti-ISIS coalition.
In a relevant development on Friday, the ISIS terrorist group’s notorious oil minister Sobat Turki, nom du guerre Abu Hassan, was killed along with a number of murderous Moslems in festivities with Iraq’s intelligence forces in Deir Ezzur province in Eastern Syria, a security expert said on Friday.
Iraqi Security Expert Fazel Abu Raghif wrote on his Twitter page that Iraq’s intelligence forces have managed to kill Abu Hassan in their military operation in Deir Ezzur.
He said that ISIS has now lost all channels and ways to supply financial aid and finance ISIS commanders, including founder of ISIS’s financial system Mohammad Jubeir al-Rawi and the terrorist group’s finance minister.
Abu Hassan was in charge of the largest financial supply system of the terrorists, financing the group through trading oil and oil products.

Returning to normalcy as understood in the Arab world.
Baghdad (IraqiNews) An official source informed, on Saturday, that the Police Chief of Hamza District in Mukdadiyah, was killed in a tribal clash in Baghdad.
In a press statement, the source said that the Police Cief of al-Hamza Districtm Brigadier General, Jabbar Asadi, was killed by gun shot during a tribal dispute in the capital Baghdad.
Asadi is a resident of Baghdad, and was in vacation in the capital, the source added.
The Iraqi government and non-governmental organizations launched many initiatives over the past period to persuade rival rustics to sign petitions to stop their fighting, which claims the lives of several people daily.
Chieftains were also urged to intervene to put an end to tribal disputes in the country through forcing rustics to hand over their weapons to the Iraqi army.
[STEYNONLINE] Fifty years ago today man landed on the moon, in the persons of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and courtesy of a lunar module from Apollo 11. The most I've ever written about the "space race" was in my book After America, and the passage attracts criticism both from the Nasa types and those who think the whole man-on-the-moon thing was a crashing bore. Nevertheless, the modern world was built by the men who ventured beyond the edge of the map, and in that sense the stasis of the last half-century is both unusual and a little disturbing. To mark the anniversary, The New York Times wondered when a woman might reach the moon - which sounds a humorless rewrite of the old feminist gag that "if they can put a man on the moon, why can't they put them all there?" So here's a few of my thoughts on the subject over the years:
The Wright brothers' first flight was in 1903. Fifty-nine years later, John Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth, and seven years after that Buzz Aldrin became the first man to fly to the moon and play "Fly Me To The Moon" on the moon - thanks to the portable cassette recorder he took with him. In a certain sense, the moon landing was the culmination of the tremendous inventive energy of the nineteenth century (if I had to pick a so-called "greatest generation" it would be somewhere in the latter half thereof). Half a century from the Wright Brothers to The Right Stuff - from nosediving into the neighbor's cornfield to walking the surface of the moon - followed by half a century devoid of giant leaps and even small steps.

[NYPOST] NY Fairness PAC’s purchases for Hizzoner’s campaign included:
$40,000 in digital media consulting services purchased on May 15, the day before de Blasio’s launch;
$8,562 for “launch weekend travel,” including $3,970.70 in plane tickets bought on United Airlines, American Airlines and JetBlue Airways on May 16 and May 17;
$4,200 for rent at The Yard, the Brooklyn coworking space where de Blasio’s campaign is headquartered, which was paid in June.
However, the campaign booked the PAC’s spending as a debt, not as a contribution — a legal maneuver that stunned lawyers, campaign finance experts and political consultants.
“It appears de Blasio’s state PAC spending is in excess of federal limits,” said Tyler Cole, a top lawyer at Issue One, a Washington, DC, watchdog group that focuses on campaign finance reform. “Federal candidates must run their campaigns out of federally regulated committees — the law is only meaningful if they abide by the federal limits.”
He added: “You can’t allow candidates to use state committees to do an end-run around the law.”
The maneuver of listing state PAC expenditures as a campaign debt for a federal campaign instead of a donation stunned one Democratic strategist.
The donation limit end-run was “among the most creative ways to circumvent election laws that I’ve ever seen,” the source said.
“If it’s not a violation of the letter of the law, it’s certainly a violation of the spirit of the law,” the person added.

Warning - off topic comment - sorta, sorta not.
Looking at the number of views of posted articles over the past year or so, it's easy to spot the trend. Articles at the top of the page generally get fewer views than those at the bottom. That is, traditional "War on Terror" items are becoming of less interest than local issues. One theory is that war fatigue is setting in... just tired of reading about the latest splodydope. My own feeling is that the war has just moved closer to home. The terrorists that represent an existential threat are more likely to be found in NYC, LA and Portland than in Kabul or Damascus. (The jury is still out on Tehran).

We’ve always had heavy discussions of articles about politics and culture — some pretty serious flame wars on the subject in the old days, too. I’ll go directly to a few articles and commenters that catch my eye, then go back to the beginning and read down to the last comment at the end, to ensure that I’m up to date on the current WoT battlefronts. I apologize for not keeping up with the weekly Europe/Britain/Australia round ups, but it required more time than I have.

Sub consciously many Americans are loosing interest in protecting the West when Europe is allowing rampant Islamic migration into their countries. And when news organizations over there such as the BBC are giving a lot of supportive coverage to extreme leftist politicians in the US such as AOC.
[DAILYCALLER] Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is aiming to implement a program at the U.S.-Mexico border that would speed up the removal of migrants colonists without valid asylum claims.
The Arizona Democrat joined eight other senators in signing a letter Wednesday to acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan, The Arizona Republic reported.
The letter detailed how the pilot program, which is called "Operation Safe Return," would allow for some migrants colonists to be deported within 15 days.
"This pilot program would apply to families who aren’t claiming ’credible fear,’ which of course is the first threshold in seeking asylum," Sinema told The Arizona Republic. "If someone says, ’I left my country because I can’t make a living,’ [or] ’It’s hard to take care of my family’ ‐ that’s what we call an economic migrant."
Border Patrol would be given one to three days for "detailed, fair and accurate interviews" with migrant families. If the families are fearful of returning to their home countries, they would be deported, the newspaper reported.

Mr Pence said that "all four of these men have stood in defence of religious liberty, in the exercise of their faith, despite unimaginable pressure".
Assuring the prisoners that the American people stand with them, the US vice president said: "Today, the United States of America calls upon the governments of Eritrea, Mauritania, Pakistain, and Saudi Arabia to respect the rights of conscience of these men, and let these men go."

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian is using the progress made by Israel for its own drone production, the publication Svobodnaya Pressa reported this week.
According to the Russian publication, due to the military cooperation between Israel and Russia, the latter’s drones and even their S-300 missile system are no threat to the Jewish state.
Last year there was an incident where Israel’s aerial defense shot down a Russian-made drone over the Golan Heights. An analysis of the fragments showed that the drone was completely identical to a model used by the Israeli Air Force. "The only difference was that our apparatus had inscriptions in Cyrillic," the Russian news outlet observes.
"In the end, after two years the Russian army obtained the Forpost. One could say that it was the first effective Russian UAV, if it weren’t an exact copy of the Israeli Searcher II. Moreover, even all of the components were imported from the Jewish state," the author writes, inferring that this poses a threat to Russia.
"And this is bad, if you take into account the fact that in the Syrian airspace between Russia and Israel there are many unresolved issues. The IDF regularly flies sorties and attacks our allies... And Iran, which is constantly losing its facilities, is already starting to look askance at the Kremlin. All of this impedes Moscow, and it is in the interests of Russia’s leaders to use all available resources to restrict the Israeli Air Force in the sky over Syria. It is clear that Israeli technologies won’t help here. The problem is that the specialists from Israel Aerospace Industries have studied the Forposts inside and out," the article remarks.

[DAILYCALLER] George Nader, a Lebanese-American businessman who was a key witness in the special counsel’s probe, was charged earlier in July with transporting a 14-year-old European boy to the U.S. for sex, according to an indictment unsealed Friday.
Nader was charged on three counts, including a charge for possessing child pornography and one for traveling with a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. He is accused of transporting the teenage boy from Europe to his home in the U.S. in 2000.
The indictment, which was handed down July 3, comes on top of one unsealed in June against Nader, who was a longtime adviser to the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates. Nader played a key role in setting up a meeting in January 2017 between defense contractor Erik Prince and the head of Russia’s direct investment fund in the Seychelles.
Nader also met during the presidential transition period with Jared Kushner, and worked closely with Elliot Broidy, a former top Republican fundraiser who is reportedly under investigation for bribery and money laundering. In August 2016, Nader offered help to the Trump campaign during a meeting at Trump Tower with Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... Jr. and Prince.
Nader, 60, was interviewed multiple times during the special counsel’s investigation, all but one time under a proffer agreement with prosecutors. Nader is mentioned approximately 120 times in the special counsel’s report, but there is no mention of his long history of alleged child sex crimes.

[NYPOST] An illegal Guatemalan immigrant who had been twice deported was arrested for the murders of a mother and her two kids in Iowa, authorities said Friday.
Marvin Oswaldo Esquivel-Lopez, 31, faces charges of first-degree murder in the triple homicide Tuesday night in downtown Des Moines, the Des Moines Register reported.
Esquivel-Lopez allegedly fatally shot 29-year-old Rossibeth Flores-Rodriguez and her two children, 11-year-old Grecia Daniela Alvarado-Flores and 5-year-old Ever Jose Mejia-Flores.
The trio had been living with Esquivel-Lopez in the home where officers discovered their bodies Tuesday night, authorities said. The suspect was the one to call 911 around 11 p.m. to report the killings.
Esquivel-Lopez told authorities that Flores-Rodriguez killed the kids and he shot her in self-defense. But a witness told police he shot her during an argument then went inside and shot the children, the news outlet reported.
Investigators don’t believe that Esquivel-Lopez and Flores-Rodriguez had a personal relationship other than him living in her condo ‐ and it’s unclear what the motive was behind the slayings. "We may never know what the motive was," Des Moines police Sgt. Paul Parizek said. "All we know is there was some sort of dispute between this man and the victim and he ended up, allegedly, shooting three people because of it."
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said the suspect was deported from the US in 2010 and again in 2011.
"He has a prior federal conviction for illegal entry into the United States in 2010," a spokesperson told the Des Moines Register. "He is not currently in ICE custody."

“We are currently scheduled to have that [the T5] go online towards the end of this year," Babione said. "So that will be another significant leap in capability and towards demonstrating that the physics underlining our concept works."
By 2017, that schedule had gotten pushed back to sometime in the mid-2020s. In his interview with Aviation Week, Babione did not offer any more of a specific timeline for when a practical reactor, which the company refers to as TX, might be ready.

Doesn't matter anyway. In 2016, he was the shiny new Socialist in a field of moderates. Now, he's just another old white man who repeats other's crazy ideas. In 2019 the Dem party moved hard left while Bernie stayed his ground and got trampled.

It's all social media fun and fame - until somebody ends up in PMITA prison, which is what it's going to take to stop this asocial nonsense.

It will never happen here, but a sentence of 10 weeks of food and beverage adulterated by Hep-C sufferers would stop this dead cold.
