#1 My proposal for the 28th article of amendment to the Constitution:

The judicial power of the courts established under Article III of this Constitution shall not be guided by any precedent or opinion expressed by any foreign court or tribunal; except as shall be agreed to by the United States under international treaty.

#2 That would stop all this nonsense cold. No longer would any judge or justice root around in foreign court writings, Islamic law (or any other religious law), etc looking for support. It's in the Constitution or English common law, or it isn't law.

Personally I'd stop after the semi-colon, else wise latinas and peloskis would have had out water rights out already.

#5 I like the amendment. But it wouldn't stop all this nonsense cold, because it's creeping, insidious, and already so much of the legal culture, from law school onward. The public debate would be fun, though, as it would force lefties to openly declare their allegiances.

#7 There's only one law. The mechanism to extend it is via mutually agreed contract in advance.
