#2 No mention of what growing all this biomass will do to food prices as acreage is converted from growing food to growing fuel.

In other words Cap-and-Trade will cause energy prices to soar. This will cause foodstuff prices to soar. And Obama will cause taxes to soar as well.

We are well and truly screwed.

#9 Gasoline is up 40 cents a gallon in suburban Chicago in the last ten days. Usually it goes up in the spring as the refineries go down for some maintenance prior to the big summer push. But this is a lot.

#16 I wonder if these city dumbasses realize they are at the end of a very long supply chain. When food, fuel or power becomes short, it's a simple thing to disrupt the supply, leaving more for those upstream. And the Bambis can starve, freeze or broil in their concrete boxes.
