#1 DEBKA has reported this many times. Several times they reported an "imminent attack". If Debka reports it, then it is NOT going to happen. They make it up.

Well, if they report it often enough, they might be right some day.

#3 That's my point, they are just dryly writing of a USN deployment. When they do so, it is probably fairly accurate. That is, they could get it from Jane's.

In this case, there is no mention of what they are about, or what their mission might be, etc., and in this case it is noteworthy with its absence.

#4 The thing that concerns me is that a movement like this could be strictly to keep Israel from doing anything themselves, not for the American force to actually attack, defend or otherwise be engaged by Iran.

Thank you, President Obama, for enabling me to think about my own country's forces in those terms.
