#5 My grandfather used to go to Maysville, KY with his employer, the two would get roaring drunk, and their horse got them home safe. His boss's wife wasn't amused, but it worked.

#8 I worked with an old duffer at a dairy plant. He told me that there was a door-to-door dairyman they had that sometimes "had a few too many the night before" -- the horse knew all of the stops on the route and would wait at each one for him to wake up and make the delivery.
