#1 Does anybody care?
He made it clear he thought the whole thing was a farce. Then they told him that they wouldn't give him the money unless he turned in the speech.
So he gave them a speech.
I don't much care for Mr. Zimmerman and his work, but I don't see why they would have cause to complain.

#3 I like his songs when other people sing them. He can't play a harmonica worth a damn, either. I went to see him at Appalachian State a few years ago, couldn't understand a word he said.
