#2 Yeah you notice this a lot with the free trade crowd too. They have a single metric, GDP, that measures everything.

Not a word about the welfare of our people or if that wealth is flowing to the already-rich. Just one number and no other considerations.

#5 Assimilation. The melting pot aspect of immigration made America great. Letting everyone know about the opportunity of America if they just reached out and grabbed it made America great.

Telling folks they get free stuff and that their culture is better than American culture has not been a success.
