Ah, no. They're mostly part of some conglomerate which through creative bookkeeping keep them afloat. If they were 'independent', the market would have cleared nearly all of them out by now.

But the Girl Scouts are deliberately nonprofit. Newspapers do qualify as nonprofits these days, but not intentionally.
