#1 0nce, in almost another lifetime, I was asked to take a position in Gaza which would have had me working directly with UNRWA. The person I was to replace met me and warned, "You will be working with a corrupt organization." I declined the offer. However, I have followed with interest the ups and downs (mostly downs) of UNRWA, and I believe it is as corrupt today as it was long ago when I turned down a job in Gaza.
