#5 China's weak link in invasion is their transport capability. They will need a D-Day size invasion for it to be successful and right now they don't have it.

#6 Also Trump has removed restriction on advanced arms sales to Taiwan. The are in the process of acquiring anti-shipping guided missiles. Also acquiring licenses to build nasty stuff. Taiwan may not love the Japanese but they need the sea lanes open also.
