#8 I presume there is more than one means of transmission. Clearly sexual transmission is extremely efficient, but since the original hosts in Africa are rodents (apparently not actually monkeys), I suspect some other forms of contact work too--just not very efficiently.

You might be able to distinguish by asking where are the children's monkeypox sores?
