#13 When I was in Portland back in 1990 there was a legal battle between 2 California organic farming invaders and a family of farmers whose forebears went to Oregon in the late 1800's. The invaders were planting "organic" chard and selling the seeds as non-gmo. They planted right next to a field where the old family had planted chard for consumption that was gmo. The invaders claimed that the gmo chard was pollinating their chard thus making it impossible to sell their seeds as non-gma. They sued to have the old family quit planting chard. The court sided with the invaders. That's when I knew Oregon was on the downward slide.
