#1 Painful election to watch. I know a large family in Brazil and the young people who supported Haddad were pitted fiercely against the older members of the family who supported Bolsonaro. The wounds will heal but younger members are now embracing Haddad's resistência (resistance) to Bolsanario.

Brazilian anxiety stems from the older generation having experienced a sometimes brutal military dictatorship and the young people preferring to still embrace the recent failed socialism system out of fear of a new military dictatorship.
