Ouch - I hate it when they demand your presence at 8:00 am, and all of what you planned for the day is now in abeyance. It's an irrational demand that is made by someone who believes they're unaccountable for anything, and it disrupts the whole landscape of your day.

#11 Responds to calls for service and report writing aside, I bet Baltimore cops never get out of the car while on patrol. Why risk your pension to actually do anything proactive. No stop and frisk, no knock and talk, just rolling up to a crime scene or complaint and writing it all down. Clerks with guns for protection riding around is what you got idiots.

#19 why not have the meetings start at 8am each day and last until 8pm. That would keep the police busy, appease them by giving them lots of overtime, and lower the daytime crime rate, since that rate depends on the number of crimes recorded by police during the day. it would go down to 0. OK the night rate would go up, but that's ok. it would lead to even more overtime.
