This is kind of fun.

#2 Because of our federalist system, sometimes a foreign investor comes in and they've got to navigate not only federal rules, but they've also got to navigate state and local governments that may have their own sets of interests

One track mind.

#3 B.O.: U.S. Gotten a Bit "Lazy" on Attracting Businesses

Translation - It looks like the local shills have dried up for graft, we need some new meat to shake down.

#4 Certainly he was referring to laziness induced by the demands of labor union leaders..

#5 No, the U.S. has gotten a bit "Communist" in demonizing business.

When (communist) China is more business friendly than the U.S. you know we have a problem.

#6 Typical of an individual who has never really occupied a real job, smoked pot and snorted cocain "when ever I could afford it" (Dreams of My Father book he wrote) as part of the Choom Gang in high school. A loser is one who tries to bring everyone DOWN to his level.

#8 Lazy? No.

Gotten to aggressive in bending businesses over and raping them with taxes and regulations? Yes.

#9 The world recovery starts with us, so send your business to the lazy, unexceptional, overpriced USA labor where my government is so large nobody knows what it can, cannot, or will do.

#10 How many times did Obama vote "present" while a Congressman? How many times has he been on vacation? How many times does he play basketball? How many times has he golfed? Talk about lazy.

Nevermind. We are better off when he goes on vacation or goes golfing.

#11 But we've been a little bit lazy,"

And then he went golfing.

There's another salient quote in this article that may point to his real beef:

"Because of our federalist system, sometimes a foreign investor comes in and they've got to navigate not only federal rules, but they've also got to navigate state and local governments that may have their own sets of interests..."

Darn that federalist system!

If only Obama cronies could run everything!

#12 Funny, Germany's federalist system doesn't seem to have posed much of an obstacle at all. It's the heavy-handed top-down regulatory welfare state that gunks up the gears.

But surely there are no parallels.

#13 Queerly enough, a number of Indian companies have recently begun outsourcing to the U.S.... Then there were all the Japanese car companies which outsourced production to the U.S., and I think some German car company or other -- I'm afraid I have no head for such things.

We won't even discuss how many people we all know who work 80+ hour weeks.

#14 TW, most of that was pre-Obama.

Here's a tally that calculates at least 2,676,000 jobs destroyed or prevented by Obama administration policies.
