#1 So its confirmed that it was guards from US embassy - early reports said it was guards from nearby FRENCH embassy (!?!?!) If it was US, I take it then that it was US Marines?? Has anyone noted at least the symbolic value of US Marines stopping a boomer in Tel Aviv?? (or are we keeping it quiet to avoid offending the "Arab street")

#3 I think they are State Department security guards, not Marines. Marines guard the embassy grounds, security guards cover embassy personnel when they leave the compound. They are very good at what they do and keep a very low profile.
