You know you're in trouble when the D-Senator sides with the "Conservative critics".

#2 I can't help but think that a lot of the left's enmity for Dr. Rice is an attempt to poison her image well ahead of the '08 election season.

#3 "He added that he has a long history of commitment to civil rights and has supported Madison's black community."

"Yes, suh, some of mah best friends is nigras, Ah'm agin' lynchin' too, yessiree."

The lib elitist overseers show their true colors when somebody escapes the plantation. Connie Rice was born and raised in segregated Mississippi, and started to college at age 15. Who is this doofus to pass judgment?

#4 Rice is going to be President. She'll kick the Hildabeast's ass in '08. It will be the Apocalypse of liberalism. Any lib dhimmis who have survived the first PEST epidemic will surely perish from the second.

#5 "I can't help but think that a lot of the left's enmity for Dr. Rice is an attempt to poison her image well ahead of the '08 election season."

I agree, it's that; I think it's also the left's hatred of any black who strays from the narrow role of "poor helpless oppressed colored person who needs help from liberals to overcome racism" prescribed for them by the liberal establishment. Liberals absolutely HATE blacks who don't need their "help".

I hope (please, God...) that Rice runs for President in 2008; unless I'm way off in my reading of her stance in the war on Islamic terrorism, she is by far the best person for the job that I've seen.

And I hope that this asshole radio talk-show host keeps right on spewing his hateful, brainless nonsense for the next four years; because if he does, the Democrats will lose again in 2008 for the same reason I think they lost this year: because a lot of Americans rightly sensed that the Dems have gone insane.

...he was referring to remarks by singer and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte that the price of admittance for blacks to the Bush White House was subservience...

Ahh yes. We all need to re-contemplate the wise opinions of an ancient, wealthy, now-obscure, singer with politics to the left of Che Guevara.

Notice that "Subservient" comes to mean "dedicated service in one of the top positions in the American Government." Can you imagine any administration or any organization at all that would deliberately hire somebody NOT dedicated to working together for the team (i.e. subservient)?! Somebody who instead of publicly supporting their boss, openly disagreed, undermined and trashed their boss.

I guess by accepting any form of employment, we become "SUBSERVIENT"

#9 Subservience is expected -- the President is in charge. Dr. Rice is better qualified than many people who have held the office, and she also has already earned the trust of the President and respect at the Cabinet table. The only people I've ever heard speak poorly of her are the leftist "morning personality" trashers like this guy. They are a bunch of mouthy backseat drivers who trash everybody.

I suggest that we all stop affectionately calling her "Condi" and simply call her "Dr. Rice". It's good preparation for 2008.

-Bingo. Goes against everything they stand for. When the black community at large starts to believe more heavily in individual self reliance vice reliance on government largesse they will flee the dems most rick-tick. This scares the hell out of the dems and Rice exemplifies this front and center 100%.

#15 If you missed the exchange between Ann Coulter abd Bickel over the Dems lack of support for Dr, Rice, then you missed a good example of Democrat racism in action. They (Dems) have no reason to besmerch Dr. Rice other than she is a Repubilican. They claim that she will not "stand up against the neocons in this administration" like Secretary Powell did. They really believe their own propaganda when it come to the evil 'NeoCons' that have strange ideas and morals. It all comes down to minorites (not only Blacks) realizing that they are in control of their own destiny and don need the Democrats to help them. Star Parker wrote an excellent book on the subject about leaving he welfare 'plantation' created by the Democrats.

#28 "We're still waiting for the Dem who will souljah these sh*theads."

I'm not holding my breath; I doubt very many Dems actually see the urgent necessity of such a souljahing, and those who do don't have sufficient power to bring it off. The problem for them is, if they piss off the people they need to piss off, they lose practically their entire propaganda apparatus, and where does that leave them? Competing in the marketplace of ideas-- and they don't have any to compete with.

#36 Shipman - why did Bush increase his share of the black vote from 2000 to 2004?

Sad to say, it's because he was the incumbent. It'a normal trend. Dr. Rice would get a slightly higher percentage of the black vote than President Bush, but not much more. Perhaps we need to do a futures on this.

#37 Futures market? Four years is too far away.

African-americans heavily favor Bush's faith-based initiatives. I'll keep my bet on Rove figuring out a way to gain a significant increase (>10% incr.) in Repubs' share of their votes next time around. With Condi on the ticket it's a given.

#38 One long-term strategy for Rice advocates would be to emphasize the racism of the Islamo-fascists: continued slavery and slave-trading, and such things as Michael Moore's minutemen resisting a "negro occupation" (as one of them called it a while back).
This should all be linked to the far left's support for these fascists and the MSM's cover-up of that racism. The facts are there for all of this, and the effect would be to give the lib plantation the Sherman treatment.

#39 I think an even better strategy would be for her and the Republicans to mount an all-out, smash-mouth, in-your-face assault on the Democrats' exploitation of blacks, and to tell the truth in plain language and keep hammering it home, over and over: Republicans consider blacks as full-fledged citizens and want them to get up off their butts and act like it; Democrats consider blacks as poor, ignorant, helpless darkies, and demand-- absolutely DEMAND-- that blacks play the part so Democrats can "help" them with social policies which, though they sound all warm and fuzzy and "helpful" in a superficial way, are really tailored to merely keeping blacks in permanent second-class status-- and making them grateful for the insult, to boot.

#40 Time to retire the Victimhood 101 class - which is actually race warfare.

I agree with AC and Dave D. The blacks, no - make that everyone, should be shown how they're used / abused / taken for granted / relegated to pet status - much like women in Islam / ripped off by the racist dividers Jesse Jackson, NAACP, Farrakhan, LLL Moonbat Talk Show hosts, et al / misrepresented by black racists such as Cynthis McKinney (or anyone who relies upon race instead of reality) / hindered, not helped by victimhood, affirmative action, gerrymandered political lines and relaxed racist intitutional entrance standards - which Bill Cosby has begun to give priceless exposure -- you name it.

They've been victimized alright, but not by who they (currently) think. Change that with the simple truth of how Freedom works and who actually promotes Freedom, and who promotes class / race warfare. I'm beginning to think the Congressional Black Caucus under Mfume sorta gets it - we'll see if they can offer a rational approach to blacks over the insanity of Bond & Co at NAACP. Everyone is born with potential - everyone should have the Freedom to develop theirs to the max. Creating the illusion that NBA / NFL / Rap Artist / Black Studies Professorships, etc. vs. second-class citizen victims are their only options is an incredibly racist insult to people who merely happen to be black - a stupid mythical notion sold to black kids yet disproven every day by hundreds of thousands of black scientists, mathematicians, non-idiotarian teachers, programmers, doctors, lawyers - okay, so you can argue the Johnny Cochran types are sometimes in on the game, heh.

It brings a smile to my face to consider the effect of 4 years of exposure upon the scams and their beneficiaries... and the rise of people who happen to be black into the mainstream at last. "Who really gives a shit what color anyone is?" is a good starting point -- but to add "Why should it matter?" is even better...

Dr Rice should be one hell of an example - and anti-dote to the scam. Do it, Pubs, do it - let's finally end this idiocy once and for all.
