#3 I'll be interested in seeing what happens when Saad comes up for confirmation.

Not to wish ill on him (he's already had enough of that), but it will be interesting to see the Dems badmouthing an Arab in public. In the Senate.

I hope the Repubs use that against them. We'll see.

Rhode Island Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee opposed her confirmation. Democratic Sens. Robert Byrd of West Virginia and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana voted for Owen.
