#1 Mohammed has little to lose in this trial. He committed the crime in broad daylight with many witnesses. The Dutch (like the rest of the EU) abolished the death penalty so he knows that the most he can face is life in prison as a living martyr. I heard that Dutch prisons are pretty much a country club including a cocktail hour.

#3 Kudos to the Dutch coppers for only winging him. The Dutch people now get to watch him posturing and preening...and they're learning more about Islam than if he had been 'martyred.' Keep him in solitary for the rest of his life though; he's highly contagious.
