Bombs exploded almost simultaneously Saturday in two tourist areas of the Indonesian resort island of Bali, killing at least eight people and wounding 13 others, police and hospital officials said. The victims included foreign tourists.

#3 I wonder how this will affect Australian opinion if any of their citizens were killed or hurt? I say it will harden their resolve to stick it out in Iraq and become a much bigger player in counter-terrorism in the SE Asis sphere of Islamic influence (probably a pre-emptive leader).

I doubt that many Indonesians care, really, about the people in Bali... they probably look at them as either pagans, apostates, or both.

Wrong.

Indonesia isn't Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, etc. They are a fledgling democracy with BIG problems re:Islamofacism. The Bali bombings ruin the economy--that's not lost on the Indonesians. They have a tough balancing act, in that the population is "Moslem" albeit Hinduized, and they don't want to start a civil war. But nobody likes the terrorists, except the minority fanatics.

#9 I'm sure whicever cell members claim responsibility for this attack we will see the same circus show that the Indonesians displayed during the previous terror trials. Indonesia is a joke, i don't know why we continue to visit such uncivilized places. I work too hard to blow my money on going to some monkey country.
