#1 Amazing how Kingy-Boy suddenly has his knickers in a knot now that the murderers are howling for his head. Why wasn't he "aware" of this critical issue four years ago? It's not like he doesn't have a television in his palace.

I suppose we must thank Zarqawi for bringing yet another blushing bride to the altar of fighting terrorism. As always, only some lusty Muslim on Muslim violence ever changes (however minutely) their attitude towards warring with the infidel.

#3 I'd say, Zenster, that four years ago he hadn't seen just how unwilling the US is to lay down and surrender...

#4 While I can only agree with you, Edward, this begs the question of whether much of this world has entirely forgotten the lessons and example of America's moral resolve taught us by World War II.

It seems incredible that these upstarts do not bother themselves with even the briefest historic retrospection before engaging what can only be the most puissant of enemies.

To dub America worthy of dire atrocities without considering the consequences of goading this world's only superpower into righteous fury is, quite simply, suicidal. Abdullah II is undeserving of his throne if he cannot keep such elementary concepts in proper perspective.

But, to his credit, he did appear on an episode of Star Trek: Voyager:

#6 The powers in these countries are finally understanding it's not a muzzie vs. westerners fight, but a fight for survival for all modern civilization. If we get more than passive support from Jordan and the Soddies we just might get the other muzzie states to stop supporting AQ.
The best thing here is we now have a very divided Islamic community. Now our islamic allies might begin to actually fight the enemy.

#9 I've come to the conclusion we're not going to get true support from the Soddies. They're trying to stamp out the bad guyz in their territory only.

Their holy men are the head cheeses among the Learned Elders of Islam. When the princes chop off a few of their heads they'll be cooperating fully.

Notice that when Mufti Shamzai was bumped off in Karachi a year and a half ago the organized violence there dropped off dramatically. All those hard boyz who were operating with his spiritual guidance were suddenly a leaderless mob. And each mullah who was a candidate to replace him was knocked off in his turn -- I think it took about two weeks. Suddenly jihad within Pak has become sporadic.

#10 Agreed. Controlling the Mullas, chopping of heads, in the adjoining countries of Iraq will certainly make CENTCOM's job a lot easier. No matter who controls them it will be better for us.

#11 The King of Jordan has a rightful claim to lots that the SA princes currently control. Perhaps his Secrect Services will start playing wack a mullah.

#12 And, for all that he hasn't done everything we might like, Abdullah has in fact been pretty supportive of us in Iraq.

Time to redraw the lines that Gertrude Bell and Sir Percy drew huh Sensei??
