#3 The question is not if he is capable or the right guy, he most certainly is on both counts. The question is if he can overcome the good ol boy issues there and be the catalyst for change. I put him on line with Bolten, tough job, wish him the best.

#7 Let's not forget the 25% of staff who left during Mr. Goss's brief tenure. Based on recent antics, I think it's reasonable to expect more need either to adapt the proper behaviour of employees of a spy organization or to leave, but I do hope General Hayden doesn't have to clear out another 25,000 bodies in the near future. That would be an awfully big change for the organization to adjust to.

#8 Report I got from someone who knows his work is that he reports well, and makes all sound hunky dory, but that there were some major technological snafus costing in the billions at NSA on his watch. Don't know how this will translate to CIA.
