#1 Excellent! Similar run-ins leading to tragic consequences are less rare than some might think. There are LOTS of fools, reduced to morons by alcohol, who tempt fate every damned day (night) in thousands of places. The difference here is that Yon was the victim of the moron's attention.

His bad.

Yon's style isn't for everyone, I guess, but I found this imminently readable and personally very interesting - it brought back so many memories from their dusty corners that I was amazed. I had to let it settle before responding, lest I admit too much, LOL. I knew more than a few in the service who were there under similar circumstances, back when some judges offered it as an alternative.

#2 It's considerably easier being a girl, it seems, although Sgt. Mom hints at some interesting tales involving her daughter, Cpl. Blondie (not the same as our Desert Blondie, although there has been some confusion on occasion).
