#3 The best thing they could do towards establishing confidence in the government is to run cases like these 'caught in the act' kidnappings quickly and transparently through the legal (justice?) system to a public hanging - say, by Jan. 1, 2007.

Good on the 4/1/6 of the IA. More and faster please. Something just popped into me lil' noggin' too. Wonder if Fred or .com could "inform" the Iraqi Army of shutter guns and give them SOPs (Std. Operating Procedures) on "crossfire events" from the RAB? Could be implemented quickly and allow for numerous bad guys to be "caught" in "crossfire" events in the future. Lather, rinse, repeat, as needed.
