Even Gov. Jon S. Corzine seemed to endorse Mr. Levys resignation. When asked, Mr. Corzine told reporters in Trenton, I think if the mayor isnt fulfilling his obligations, hasnt lived up to the oath of office, I think thats probably the appropriate step. ROLF!

Mr. Jacobs would not say whether the mayors absence was related to his admission last fall that he had misrepresented his military service in Vietnam. After a series of articles in The Press of Atlantic City, the mayor conceded that although he was in the Army, he was not in the Special Forces.

The United States attorney for New Jersey, Christopher J. Christie, is investigating whether Mr. Levy used the misrepresentation to collect larger payments under his military pension.

The odd thing is that Levy had a decent record without adding.... shhh, double-zero-dark-thirty-way-SOGGY-Missions-in-Laos etc.... yet decided to add Mystique to his own good record just to spite it.
