#2 This is interesting stuff. I've prowled some of the WWII and even WWI undergrounds that remain in Germany, under many of the Kasernes used by US forces.

Out of fear of booby traps, many of them just had their doors welded shut and were ignored. Every now and then they would find something interesting after opening one up.

For example, a farmers field had a collapse which unveiled an underground aircraft hanger, complete with aircraft, one of which had a human skeleton inside.
