#2 What we really need is just a compact, lethal force of special operators, intelligence resources and air assets, along with sufficient conventional forces for protection and punitive raids.

But Congress said its illegal! Peters makes a lot of sense--take the fight to them, wherever they may hide.

#5 As we would prolly need at least two decades in Afghanistan to fix the professional martial culture I think Peters is basically restating what many of us on here have already mentioned.

I'm pretty sure Gen McC has Sun Tzu memorized, I'm also pretty sure Obama thinks Sun Tzu is combo #8 at the local Chinese take-out.
