#2 Assault with a deadly weapon gets a one year sentence? Must not have been a firearm - I think simple unauthorized possession of such carries a longer sentence.

Only for law-abiding a cities. Criminals using them on a crime get a pass over it and a tax exemption for "professional expenses"
