#1 I saw a post about this on PJM's site. The blogger stated that, "We work for rich people and rich people buy things that middle class and lower class people make. Taxing them heavily will only effect the lower classed and middle class as the rich stop buying and hiring."

#2 Punitive taxes on the rich never seem to hurt the rich nearly as much as they hurt the rest of us.
