Sorry, no sympathy from me. Probably won't top the $277.3 billion in taxpayer funded farm subsidies 1995-2011 (not growing corn and beans), but the auto workers will get unemployment and subpay which makes up 95% of their pay.

#4 Then there is that other problem. Sometimes the Volt just doesn't work. The tree huggers think it is such a wonderful answer for their pet theory of climate change. Ha, the last I knew coal-fired or nuclear power plants were required for charging the batteries of this turkey. I'm afraid this project is another Solyndra money pit. Give this pos to the Hollyweird crowd--they prolly love it. This is a twofer for them; they think they are saving the world and they feel good about themselves for awhile.

#5 Sometimes the Volt just doesn't work.

Like in winter, when cold slows the chemical reaction in the battery, and you crave that 'waste heat' from a gas engine to defrost your windshield and warm your toes?

And so the Volt goes under the bus. Hey, there must be a Buss Under-Voltage Warning joke in there somewhere!
