#1 As I understand their demands they want the US government to impose elements of Sharia on non-muslims in the West.

Unfortunately the mainstream political consensus is that their demands should be met.

#10 Unfortunately, there is no sure way to separate the Islamist and Islamist Apologist sub-sets from the Muslims as a whole. This being said, I've got a pretty good idea as to whom is behind the demo. Would be great optics, IMHO, if some delays, etc., could be arranged so as to make the march conflict with prayers or, maybe, a twofer of Oprah getting an acid spritz (yeah, I'm feeling a little owley tonite)....
