#3 Probably been there for some time prior to this announcement but since one special ops recently was killed in combat in Iraq it probably makes more sense politically to make this announcement now.

#8 Fewer than 50 guys. I mean persons, now that we have girl Rangers. Barely enough for a dorm party. Of course, they will need supply/support/planning. No idea how many that is. 2x? 3x?
