#1 Geologists have not pinpointed a reason for the latest series of eruptions

Must have been educated at US institutions. Coolest winters in a long time resulting in lower temps with hot molten lava in the earths core causes geological stress on the earths crust, widening faults, letting in water which turns to steam when it hits the core.

If we are in a cooling cycle, natives beware.

#2 Seriously, if it wasn't for the idiots at the Sierra Club and the Interior Dept. all of North America could be run on geothermal from Yellowstone and doing so would cool it down a tiny bit and make it a tiny bit safer...
