#1 IRS tax data show more than 6.6 million filers were required to pay the ObamaCare penalty in 2015, the most recent year for which data are available.

I filed two returns in 2015 that should have been assessed with this penalty; I'm still waiting for the bill(s) from the IRS. Congress removed enforcement for this penalty for 2016, and I'm not sure if that legislation applies to later years.
