#11 Go all the way - "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein - citizens only earn the PRIVILEGE to vote if they have served a full term of service in the military. If you put "skin in the game" - you have a right to play. That book inspired me to West Point, and then ten years active duty as an Infantry Officer.
