 File under: Govt of Pakistan

#1 They are acquiring herd immunity - except for the ones that die off right away. I see it as generally positive.

#2 I still dong get something: In Pakistan, Pakistan, more people recover than die. In Sweden and Holland it's the other way around.

#3 g(r)om, it's all of a piece with "it's not who votes, it's who counts the votes."

Let's just say that the statistics gathering and reporting about CV has been shady at best.

#4 Recovered cases aren't always reported. For example in Germany this is not mandatory but they do it now, hence the large numbers of recovered cases.

#5 #3 AC, if you think Pak authorities fudge the relevant stats, compare Sweden to Israel, or Germany, or even USA.
My theory, Swedes practiced affirmative action in med school admissions too long and too assiduously.

#6 Think G hits it on the head. As for the 50 clerics, go for it.

#7 Ref #5: Swedes practiced affirmative action in med school admissions too long and too assiduously.

More "assiduously" than the US Gov't? Quite difficult to imagine. Quite difficult indeed.

#8 ^So, how you explain such high death to recovery rate, ou rooinek?

#9 /\ Different topic. I was referencing Affirmative Action, not CV.

#10 In Pakistan, more people recover than die. In Sweden and Holland it's the other way around.

The Swedes are more phlegmatic, as we know.
Perhaps they only seek medical attention when they are already mostly dead.
