#10 No, there will be plenty of future elections – they will, all of them, be tainted.

Any smart political operative will figure out how to use these proven tricks to the advantage of his candidate. There will be a fraudulent-ballot arms race, and it will escalate until the system breaks.

Until that collapse, we will not see free and fair, honest elections that have the confidence of the electorate. It will be all Hatfields and McCoys, each side accusing the other of rigging the outcome.
