"The CDC says the risk of death is 270x higher for 70+ as those aged 18-50. Jo’s model ignored the highly lethal nature of this disease to the elderly, so Jo was able to recommend that younger essential workers be prioritized above the elderly, because the elderly are whiter."

So the wide adoption of Jo's model by >30 states means that a million or more vulnerable (white) elderly Americans will not get the vaccine in time and tens of thousands of them will die of COVID. Because Amerikkka's rayciss.

1. This whole Jo Jo type generation reminds me of Movie Wild in the Streets - 1968. Seriously its like some JoJo/Chad type saw the movie and is trying to make it real life.

2. Just as they are rolling out the VAX. We have NEW Massive NEWS PANIC CYCLE of a new Season #2 C-19 strain in UK from Africa.... all prefectly timed to promote the need for getting VAX'd.

As far as the 60+ Ages.
Sure we are most likely to die if infected, even from a common cold, because we are the Old Fart Generation. Being in the 60+ group naturally increases the chances due to: issues with age, medical/physical conditions, and being on the backside of Life's Bell Curve. All of which will always make us the most likely to die. But many of us still have 10+ years of normal life left.

So where should the VAX's be given?
1st IF a person wants th VAX and there are initially only enough VAX's to dose say 1 in 10, that want the VAX. Then I would say. Front-line C-19 workers, those most likely to die if infected. Then following age mortality pattern in reverse.

BTW: After 1 year of the C-19 in the Global population.

Your odds of GETTING the C-19 in the USA in the last 7 days wwere: 146,512/342M = 0.043 of 1%.

Your odds of dying from the C-19 IF you were part of the 0.043 of 1% INFECTED in the last 7 days was 1.15%. A VAST MAJORITY of those already had 1 foot in the grave also, before being infected.

Summary: The Wife and I, and the Nurses in our family have concerns of long term side-effects about the this RNA VAX. We will not take the VAX' until the Human Lab Rats results are reviewed in 3+ years.

Here's the latest from Ohio - 50,061 vaccines started but only 15% of them went to the elderly. That means, instead of close to 40% of the elderly being vaccinated, only 0.5% of Ohio's elderly have been vaccinated.

Here's a "medical expert" who calls himself an "ethicist" - sounds like the twisted ethos of someone we know:

"Harald Schmidt, an expert in ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, said that it is reasonable to put essential workers ahead of older adults, given their risks, and that they are disproportionately minorities. “Older populations are whiter, ” Dr. Schmidt said. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”

#9 When results of this model falls short of the desired amount of "playing field leveling" the Schmidt types seek, denial of other medial services (already happening in lock downs) and then bureaucratically emposed euthanasia (death panels, you know,) will be added to the mix.

#12 I still say the best approach for people the social engineers are targeting for vaccine slow-walk is this: Change your will. If you die of COVID before being offered access to the vaccine, your assets go to truly odious (to the left) organizations. Then have your lawyer send your kids a "ball's in your court now, muchachos" letter.

#20 I volunteered to be a lab rat. 72, have had c19 plus follow-on pneumonia twice in the last 12 months (which is annoying). Never got treated for C19 except for teleconference sessions, but needed an assist with pneumonia, which I get at least once a year.

Getting a shot this coming week, on Tuesday the 29th. Might be a placebo (it's the VA so who knows) and might be toxic. But we the people need data, and few are volunteering. :) Maybe smarter than me. :) We will see. obtw, I had to look up Mvskoke. Turns out is is roughly the Creek Nation.

#21 This was the plan in Ohio as of December 9th:

As of right now, the state will receive its first shipment from Pfizer around Dec. 15. Of that first shipment, 9,750 will go to the state's hospitals (prepositioned sites), and 88,725 will go to Walgreens and CVS, who will in turn distribute to congregate care settings.

On Dec. 22, Ohio anticipates a shipment of 201,000 vaccines from Moderna, the governor said. These will go to 98 hospitals and 108 health departments. Hospitals will vaccinate those dealing with COVID patients. Health departments will vaccinate people like EMS and other essential workers.

Also on Dec. 22, the governor said the state expects another shipment from Pfizer. The tentative number of vaccines in this shipment is 123,000. These will go to Walgreen and CVS for vaccination of those in congregate care settings.

A few days later, Ohio expects to get another 148,000 vaccines from Pfizer and 89,000 vaccines from Moderna.

[Governor] DeWine acknowledged that these shipments will not be enough to cover the individuals laid out in the first phase of the vaccination process -- but it is a start.

#23 Speaking of "Movies that remind me of where we find ourselves in 2020", I remember a book (not a movie, and will never be a movie) called Stand on Zanzibar. The follow up was The Sheep Look Up. Both written by John Brunner.

Please at least glance at that article. He got a lot right, and missed some. I read many of his books, but not all of them. He was obsessed by overpopulation. I see overpopulation as an engineering challenge.

Then there are David Brin's Uplift series. I bought everything he wrote, and now find myself unable to read the actual books. Life sucks, then you die.

#27 #27 I have my reasons but I also will not participate. My concern is any flight, work or public transportation; even everyday shopping, will require verification of Vaccine product and that it is current so if not then failure of service. You will be scanned as well as your card. Even possible arrest and or fine for noncompliance. I will see my endocrinologist soon and she does not believe in vaccines as I do. I have not had a viral infection in 40 years and perhaps longer. Bacterial however that is a different animal.

#31 Glad Texas told the Feds they were using a moral model which says to reduce the number of severe cases and deaths first by protecting the population who was creating the most hospitalizations and deaths: the elderly and those with certain diseases or conditions.
