#5 I just had my 2nd cataract removed & replaced with a prosthetic lens. Nurse anesthetist told me I got 50 micrograms of fentanyl as part of my treatment. No pain during surgery, although I did hear the surgeon talking from time to time. Otherwise no memory of the procedure. I haven't felt that good in 70 years! No visions, or spaced out feeling, just intense well-being. No wonder it's addictive.

#7 More and more it feels alot like Pournelle's CoDominium type of world coming into being. 'Citizens' kept happy with drugs and welfare, gangs ruling various welfare hubs and rich taxpayers living in walled, armed camps and ruling over the little people.
