#6 11,500 seems a bit low. According to wickedpedia, "Total priests in 2006" (after a long decline): 20,523. In 1996 (use that for the average over the whole period): 27781.

If the working lifetime of a priest is about 30 years, scale that average by 2.3 to get 64,800 during that 70 years. Plus "church people."

I don't know what they mean by "church people", but it looks to me as though the total would be closer to 115,000 than 11,500.
