The Verge reports that a Finnish Tesla owner named Tuomas Katainen recently received a quote on having the battery in his 2013 Tesla Model S vehicle replaced.

At sometime those magical electrical cars have got to have their batteries replaced, not to mention disposed of (as in NIMBY).

#2 Ideally, a market for replacement batteries would lead to third-party vendors and some price competition. In practice, the market is tiny and Tesla would probably fight it tooth and nail, just as Crapple does with replacement parts for their slavery-made phones.
